  • In recent years, an increasing number of viewpoints hold that students should be engaged in a learning environment where understanding and knowledge transfer take place. This study introduces Mathematics Created by You (MCY)-mentoring program, which allows students to construct artefacts that are required to learn. This program is online-based and so can be shared by several people and mathematics leaning takes place through interactions within this carefully designed environment. Also, MCY intends to provide students a series of sequential activities related to creative play, creative learning and creative inquiry based on a Constructive and interactive environment. Furthermore, a creative activity- constructing a creative product using building blocks- was presented as an example. Finally, we investigate the pedagogical implications and suggest directions for the further development.

  • This research presents the performance analysis of the linear type pneumatic actuators that are used in semi-conductor assembly line to transfer some product with high accuracy. To increase positioning and repetitive accuracies, a cross roller guide is implemented inside the pneumatic actuator. The finite element method is used to verify the force against working moments, and reliability analysis is performed to classify the breakdown cases. Also, reliability, failure rate, probability density function, and $B_{10}$ to life are estimated under the boundary of thrust or air leakage conditions. In this study, the failure probabilistic function of the pneumatic actuators is analyzed using Weibull distribution.

  • In this paper a finite element based system is presented for the prediction of the distributions of the recrystallized grain sizes in the workpiece in hot forging. The system adopts a fully coupled finite element thermo-mechanical model for predicting plastic deformation and heat transfer occurring in the workpiece and employs existing metallurgical models relating the recrystalliza-tion behavior with the thermo-mechanical variables such as temperatures strain and strain rate. The system is applied to upsetting of cylindrical preform. The predicted grain sizes are compared with the measurements. It is further applied to forging of a complex-shaped product.

  • The product of electrons by Pulsed Corona Discharge leads to produce radicals which work on NO, and NO is finally removed. Energy efficiency for NO removal was improved with increasing peak voltage rather than with increasing pulse frequency. The rate of energy transfer increased with decreasing value of $C_p$( Pulse - Forming Capacitance 2.15, 1.06, 0.55, 0.36, 0.1[nF]. When the value of $C_p$ reached to 0.36 [nF], the energy efficiency for NO removal was maximized. And good agreement was obtained between chemical kinetic calculations and the experimental results.

  • In this study, a optimal design on the hood automotive using eco-friendly natural fiber composites is performed. The hood of an automobile is determined by dividing the Inner panel shape through optimization phase to outer panel and inner panel. It was performed to optimize the size of the thickness of the inner panel and the outer panel by applying a flax/epoxy composite materials. The optimized shape was evaluated for weight-lightening, stability and the pedestrian collision safety. Through the resin flow analysis are confirmed to molding possibility judgment of product.

  • Thermoforming is one of the most versatile and economical processes available for shaping polymer products, but obtaining a uniform thickness of the final product using this method is difficult. Heater power adjustment is very important because the thickness distribution depends strongly on the distribution of the sheet temperature. In this paper, the steady-state optimum distribution of heater power is first ascertained by a numerical optimization to obtain a uniform sheet temperature. The time-dependent optimal heater input is then determined to decrease the temperature difference through the direction of the thickness using the response surface method and the D-optimal method. The optimal results show that the time-dependent optimum heater power distribution gives an acceptable uniform sheet temperature in the forming temperature range by the end of the heating process.

  • The feasibility of obtaining graphitic carbon films on targeted substrates without a catalyst and transfer step was explored through the pyrolysis of the botanical derivative camphor. In a horizontal quartz tube, camphor was subjected to a sequential process of evaporation and thermal decomposition; then, the decomposed product was deposited on a glass substrate. Analysis of the Raman spectra suggest that the deposited film is related to unintentionally doped graphitic carbon containing some $sp-sp^2$ linear carbon chains. The films were transparent in the visible range and electrically conductive, with a sheet resistance comparable to that of graphene. It was also demonstrated that graphitic films with similar properties can be reproduciblyobtained, while property control was readily achieved by varying the process temperature.

  • The vibration of washing machine at spinning cycle is important problem that affects the performance of a product. In this raper, the inner structure of the washing machine is modeled as a rigid body suspension system and transfer farce caused by rotating unbalance mass is obtained using Newton's the 2nd law. and this model is used to predict the verge of walking instability during the spinning cycle. The walk of the drum washing machine is suggested by calculating the force transmissibility between drum and the cabinet. As calculating the resultant force exerted for cabinet, the friction coefficient of the pad is suggested to avoid the walk. In addition, relation between translational slip and rotational slip is derived and method to avoid the rotational slip is introduced.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose a new process model for architects and suppliers in AEC(Architectural, Engineering and Construction) industry, which comes from its utilization of a distributed database. Information used by participants of this process is not held in one singular application sewer, but in tile databases of multiple participants. This study addresses the problem of coping with dynamic information changes that architects face when designing with increasingly time-sensitive product information from multiple suppliers. It also describes the new distributed architecture for design representation, and outlines a corresponding process model to address the needs architectural designers during design and procurement phases. The feasibility of the process was tested in a prototype system that combines existing technologies, which allows for an objects transfer from the Web to the CAD application.

  • This paper describes a dnw serial interface system which uses comma free code. Typically parallel 25 pin cable and connectors are used to transfer and receive the data between digital systems such as HDVCR, D3VTR and HDTV Receiver. The coaxial cable is more desirable for consumer product applications and also for studio applications where long signal paths and switching are requeired. This serial data trasfer technique is possible the error detection and the self synchronization, also easy edge insertion for PLL control. It is also cost effective because is does not requeire RF PLL, scrambling, and NRZI hardware.
