한·중 한자교육 비교 (A Comparative Study of the Chinese Characters education in Korea and China)

  • The Hanja used in Korean are traditional Chinese characters, but what Chinese people use now is simplified characters. So, there are differences in pronunciation and meaning between the characters used by Korean and Chinese. More than 70% of the Korean language vocabulary derived from or were influenced by hanja. For the inheritance and development of traditional culture,and for the communication among countries of the Chinese characters cultural circle in Northeast Asia, should we build up an authentic Chinese education system. But the government hasn't pay much attention to this work, and the government's policy can't implement the efficient education. Consequently, in these days, there are more and more Korean people who are functionally illiterate in Chinese. Recently, proficiency tests of Chinese characters are expected to promote the development of Chinese education. But, most Koreans' motives for Chinese study are usually to pass the college entrance exam or to compete for jobs. However, after passing the test, the motive for studying gradually fade away. It is the basic problem faced by Korean Chinese character education. Since the 1950s, various character education methods have been studied in China, the research results were appliedin their textbooks and other materials. Therefore, a well-organized and efficient learning-by-step education system was built up. At present, China's literacy education in the textbooks utilizes a range of methods including revisional centralized and distributed. Unfortunately, there is still one shortcoming worthy of concerns: how to solve the problems due to the simplification of traditional Chinese characters? Is it possible to revive traditional Chinese characters? Before adopting the results of research on China's literacy education and applying them to our character education, we should consider our specific situation carefully. Adopting the research results with cautious review and objective criticism should have a positive impact on Korean Chinese character education.

전국 한의과대학(원)의 진료수행평가(CPX) 현황과 향후 과제 (The current status and future operations of Clinical Performance Evaluation (CPX) in the nationwide colleges (graduate schools) of Traditional Korean Medicine)

  • To analyze current status of CPX in colleges of Traditional Korean Medicine nationwide and investigate the operations required for its development and distribution, we investigate current status of CPX in the nationwide colleges of Traditional Korean Medicine and suggest an improvement plan. A total of 7 colleges (graduate schools) performed CPX using the standardized patients as of July 2020 out of 13 colleges (graduate schools). Because there are a significant number of CPX modules developed by the colleges of Traditional Korean Medicine, a wide array of characteristics of Traditional Korean Medicine are covered, based on the literatures of Traditional Korean medicine. The scope of Clinical Presentation should established and a CPX module should be standardized to expand and distribute CPX in the education of Traditional Korean Medicine. If multiple colleges collect, train and manage the standardized patients in cooperation, CPX could be performed more effectively. Furthermore, medical clinical performance guide for Traditional Korean Medicine should be developed in cooperation. Greater support in the form of manpower, finance, and administration are required to distribute CPX to all colleges and develop various CPX modules.

전통식품 기호증진을 위한 초등학생용 미각교육교재 및 지도서 개발 (Development of a Sensory Education Textbook and Teaching Guidebook for Preference Improvement toward Traditional Korean Foods in Schoolchildren)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a textbook and teaching guidebook on sensory education for lower grade students at elementary schools. The goal of sensory education was to improve preferences for traditional Korean foods. An advisory committee was organized that was composed of 8 professionals in the education field, in order to discuss the adequacy and validity of the textbook's content. The textbook's units consisted of three parts composed of the following: 'feel by the five senses' (2 lessons), 'enjoying traditional Korean foods' (9 lessons), and 'eating together' (1 lesson). The lesson activities were based on experiential learning. The teacher's guidebook contained an overview of the education process, with specific information and practical guidelines for each lesson. Ninety-seven children in 3rd grade from one school participated in a pilot lesson, which evaluated the educational effects and satisfaction. After the lesson, the children had improved preferences for foods which were taught about in the class, along with better eating attitudes. These results reflect that the developed materials were suitable for improving children's preferences toward traditional Korean foods.

한의학 교육과정 변화의 조건 탐색 - 통합교육과정을 중심으로 - (Exploring the Conditions that will Allow for Change in Traditional Korean Medicine Curricula - Focusing on the Integrated Curriculum -)

  • Objectives : To suggest conditions that will allow for change in Traditional Korean Medicine (TKM) curricula through analysis of the failure of widespread acceptance of the integrated curriculum into all Traditional Medicine Colleges. Methods : First, the process of change between TKM education and medical education was compared. Next, the conditions that would stimulate change in TKM curricula were analyzed in three levels: structure, policy, and actor. Results : TKM colleges have not experienced a structural change from the six-year to four-year structure. The accreditation standards of TKM education (KAS2021) should be more supportive instead of forcing change, and the goals should be reset to education improvement instead of meeting the standards of WFME. The deans' leadership and professors' ownership over their subjects need to be modified. A group of professionals that could lead change is required, while other factors such as full-time professorships, clinical practice hours, obligatory teaching hours and overall teaching environment need to be improved. Conclusions : It would be ideal if individual TKM colleges created success models of curricula change-despite the time and effort that is required-that could spread to other colleges. After the new curriculum has been accepted in more that half of the total eleven TKM colleges, an institutional isomorphism can be demanded.

Abolition or Maintenance? French and British Policies towards Vietnamese and Malay Traditional Education during the Last Decades of the Nineteenth Century

  • At different times in the 19th century, the Straits Settlements and Cochinchina were both colonies that the British and the French captured the earliest in their process of invasion of Malaya and Vietnam, respectively. This study examines the transitional stage from the traditional school system to colonial school system in the Straits Settlements and Cochinchina. This could also be considered an experimental stage for building later education systems in their expanded colonies, namely British Malaya and French Indochina, from the closing decades of the 19th century to the middle of the 20th century. This study, exploiting various sources and applying the comparative approach, identifies the factors that affected the different attitudes and choices of policy towards traditional education models of indigenous communities (the Malays and Vietnamese) pursued by the British in the Straits Settlements and the French in Cochinchina.

한국 전통음식에 대한 학교급식 영양사의 의식 조사 (Consciousness on the Korean Traditional Food of School Food Service Dietitians)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the consciousness of dietitians who provide the basic data for the utilization of traditional food in school food service. The conclusions of this study are as follows. The rate of recognition and awareness of traditional Korean food as the pursuit of learning about socio-demographic was generally high, and was remarkable in the elderly dietitians who have worked for a long term. The way how they learned about traditional Korean food was through media, school education, books, and home education, in order. Also, the dietitians who are relatively older or have worked for a long term have pride in traditional food because it suited their taste and was our traditional food. However, it was difficult to provide the food to school food service because the cooking process is complex, and students don's prefer it. Accordingly, improvements of recipe with use of traditional Korean food in school food service are urgently required. The dietitians in Gwangju City in Jeonnam province felt the need to make a standard traditional Korean food recipe, and the demand was especially the strongest among dietitians who have worked from 6 to 10 years. They suggested that the standard recipe should be made by the Korean Dietetic Association, dietitians working at school, Ministry of Education & Human Resource Development, professors majoring in Food & Nutrition, and Ministry of Health & Welfare in order.

전통교육의 현대화와 정치교육모델의 구성 원리 (The Modernization of Traditional Education and the Principle of Political Education Model)

  • 본 논문은 전통교육의 현대화에 부합하는 교육모델의 구성원리 및 민주적 시민성 강화를 위한 핵심역량 및 교육 방안을 적극 모색하였다. 궁극적으로 민주적 시민성 교육과 정치교육 프로그램의 취지에 부합하는 전통적 가치와 교육 내용, 방식 등을 추출하여 재구성하여 교육현장에 적용하고자 한다. 이를 위해 온고지신 교육체계의 구성과 운영 원리 및 주체의 역할, 수업 방식, 기대 효과 등을 체계적으로 검토하면서 전통교육의 현대화를 통해 덕스러운 민주시민성을 함양할 수 있는 교육모델과 수업 모형의 원리를 구성하였다. 보다 구체적으로, 공동체적 덕성과 민주적인 시민성 함양을 위해 지금의 교육현실의 문제점을 지양하고 교육담론과 실천을 발전시키며 동서양의 융합적인 교육활동과 실천적 수업프로그램을 구성함으로써 현대적 선비의 지적 인성적 체화를 함양하려 하였다. 이를 위해 현대적 맥락과 환경 속에서 전통과 현실에 새로운 가치와 의미를 던져줄 수 있는 전통교육의 '어떤 점'을 '어떻게' 현대화시킬 것인지를 검토하였고 학생들이 시민사회에서 민주적 주체성을 가진 선비가 될 수 있는 수업모델의 설계 방향을 제시하였다.

전통교육 내용의 통섭과 현대적 재구성 (Convergence of the contents of traditional education and modern reconstruction)

  • 본 논문은 근대 지식인들의 '동도(東道)'에 대한 인식을 기초로 그들이 보전하고 계승하고자 한 전통교육 내용의 특징을 살펴보고, 그 가운데 현대적으로 계승할 가치가 있는 전통교육 내용을 통섭적 입장에서 선별하고 현대적 분류법으로 범주화(categorization) 하여 그에 따른 내용을 현대적으로 재구성하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 우선 현대교육의 문제점을 진단하고, 이러한 문제점을 해결하고 보완하기 위한 해결책으로서 유학사상으로 대표되는 전통사상이 갖고 있는 가능성을 타진해 볼 것이다. 특히 근대 이후로 유학에 대한 지식인들의 긍정적 부정적 인식을 살펴보고, 그 가운데 전통교육 내용을 현대적으로 재구성하는 데 유의미한 것들과 지양해야 할 것들이 어떤 것들인지 검토하고자 한다. 이러한 검토를 통해 최종적으로 전통교육 내용의 현대적 재구성을 위한 원칙을 세우고, 전통교육 내용을 현대적으로 재구성할 때 중점을 두어야 할 부분과 대체적인 내용구성에 대해 논의하였다. 전통교육 내용에 기반을 둔 현대적 교육 내용의 구성이 포괄해야 할 세 가지 영역은 주체성 교육, 도덕성 교육, 정치성 교육으로 구분할 수 있으며, 이를 실현하기 위한 확장의 원리, 통합의 원리, 연계의 원리를 제시할 수 있다.

전통문화를 활용한 환경교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 환경태도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Environmental Education Program using Traditional Culture on Elementary School Students' Environmental Attitude)

  • The elementary school age is a critical period in the formation of environmental attitudes, environmental knowledge, and sensitivity. In this study, we examined how they affect environmental education programs that utilize traditional culture in the 6th grade of elementary school students' environmental attitudes. Attitudes questionnaire and activity sheets were analyzed to figure out the change in attitude of the students, we analyzed the activity sheets. As a result, the environmental education program that utilize traditional culture had a positive impact on the improvement of elementary school students' environmental attitudes. Analysis of students' Internet bulletin board posts, the amount of writing was increased. In addition, the sensitivity to the environment of the students were changed. Students, was considered not related to their environmental problems. However, after programming experience, they found that environmental problems are directly related to them.

고등학생의 한국 전통 음식문화에 대한 인식 및 교육 요구도 - 제 7차 교육과정의 기술.가정교과 차용분석을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Recognition and Educational Needs for Korean Traditional Food Culture Among High School Students - Focusing on the Analysis of the Content of Technology.Home Economics Based on the 7th Curriculum -)

  • 본 연구는 현행 7차 교육과정 중 가정교과의 식생활 영역에 있어서 한국 전통 음식문화에 대한 교과내용을 분석하고, 한국 전통 음식문화에 대한 고등학생의 인식 및 교육에 대한 요구도를 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 통해 한국 전통 음식문화에 대한 실천적 교육내용과 교육방법 구성에 기여하는 기초 자료를 제공하는 것을 연구목적으로 하였으며 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가정교과의 식생활 영역에 있어서 한국 전통 음식문화에 대한 내용은 중학교 3학년의 '상차림과 식사예절', 고등학교 1학년의 '초대와 행사의 계획과 준비', 고등학교 2-3학년의 '음식문화와 음식마련'의 내용으로 구성되었다. 둘째, 고등학생들은 한국 전통 음식문화에 대해 자긍심을 가지고 있었으나, 실제 가정생활에서는 적용하지 못하였고 특히 '명절과 세시풍속의 의미'에 대해 제대로 이해하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 한국 전통 음식문화의 교과내용에 대한 요구도는 전통 음식문화에 대한 자긍심과 가정 내에서의 계승여부, 인식도에 따라 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며, 요구도의 하위변인(필요도, 흥미도, 활용도)간 상관관계가 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 넷째, 한국 전통 음식문화의 교육은 고등학생이 필요하다고 느끼는 교육영역으로 나타났으며, 교육내용으로는 만드는 방법이, 교육방법으로는 조리실습과 음식문화 체험활동이 요구되는 것으로 나타났다.
