무역전시회 참가업체 만족도에 관한 연구 (The Assessment Items of Exhibitor Satisfaction In Trade Show)

  • This study shows the following results. First, the assessment items of the whole exhibition operation, workforce, counselor's ability, facility and environment were important analysis factors for exhibition recognition, quality of human operation and quality of exhibition facility and environment. Second, exhibition recognition was found to be the most significant factor that influenced exhibitor's cognitive achievement, exhibition employee operation and exhibition facility. Third, exhibitors' satisfaction simultaneously increased as exhibition recognition and employee operation quality were raised. However, exhibition facility didn't strongly influence exhibitors' satisfaction. Fourth, high exhibition recognition, employee operation and exhibition facility resulted in high cognitive achievement and exhibitor's loyalty. Fifth, exhibition recognition is a highly influential factor to mediate exhibitor's cognitive achievement and exhibitors' loyalty. It implied that exhibitors' cognitive achievement and satisfaction were significantly related to the exhibition quality factor. Moreover, it indicated the effective and efficient operational method to strengthen promotional strategy, enhance the quality of employee operation, exhibition facility and environment. Thus, the results suggest a new method to evaluate exhibitor's satisfaction in the exhibition industry.

국내 무역전시 연구 분류 및 동향에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Classification of Research and Trend in the Korea Trade Show)

  • This study aimed to analyze research trend of the trade show industry in Korea and further to suggest the future direction on the research area where industrial strategies and governmental supports can be made. From 2001 to 2011 by order of 11-year study by analyzing research trends and future direction of policy more effective marketing strategy is precisely to provide direction for research. For the purpose of this study, 169 articles from 49 national level journals of Korea was classified and analyzed. 30 researches in 2005 was published research papers related to the exhibition industry was grew rapidly. According to the analysis, participants behavior of trade show were the most important topic with 33 articles. Various statistical methods such as ANOVA, structural equation model, path analysis, t-test and regression were used. However the study methods of these researches didn't make much progress. The result of this study indicated that we need to study more about the trade show industry of Korea, especially about local economic development and regional demand of trade show.

무역전시회 참가 중소기업의 수출성과를 결정하는 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on Determinants of Export Performance of SMEs Participating in Trade Shows)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the determinants of the export performance of the most preferred trade exhibitions for SMEs. And the results are as follow. First, it is analyzed that the challenging entrepreneurship, the global orientation toward the overseas market, the quality of the excellent trade show, and the support system of the trade exhibition of the export related organizations all have a very positive effect on the export performance of the SMEs participating in the trade show. Second, the number and size of participating trade shows has no influence on controlling export performance. Third, there is a difference in export performance depending on participation frequency, participation size, participation method, and participating region. The implication of this study is that SMEs, which have a strong sense of entrepreneurship and a strong commitment to the global market, need to actively participate in trade exhibitions with relatively low barriers to entry. The policy implication is that organizers and export-related organizations need to understand the internal capabilities of participating companies in order to maximize the performance of participating companies. And Korea should also create an environment that can attract and hold excellent trade exhibitions held overseas. Therefore, the government and export-related organizations should expand the infrastructure for hosting global trade exhibitions. As well as an urgent need to build a system for attracting overseas buyers that can dramatically boost overseas buyer visits.

  • 기존의 전시환경에서 전시 참여업체는 처음에 작성된 개인 정보를 사용하여 모든 관람객에게 동일한 마케팅 정보를 전달하게 된다. 즉, 전시 관람객의 선호도나 반응의 변화에 따른 적절한 대비가 어렵고 개인 별 선호 취향에 따른 개별 대응이 힘들다. 관람객 개개인에게 차별화된 맞춤형 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 관람객 개개인의 의도를 인지할 수 있어야 하고, 그 인지된 정보를 기준으로 해서 선별적인 서비스를 제공해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 전시 공간에서 관람객 개개인의 선호도와 상황을 인식하고, 인식된 정보를 기반으로 하여 관람객 개인별로 가장 적합한 전시 참가 업체의 마케팅 정보나 부스 정보를 관람객이 소유한 스마트 폰을 통해 제공 하며, 전시 공간에 설치되어 있는 인터랙션이 가능한 디바이스들과 전시 관람객 개개인이 소지하고 있는 스마트 폰 간의 인터랙션 서비스를 제공하기 위한 모바일 프레임 워크를 설계하였다.

의류 수주전시회를 통한 해외 시장 진출 방안에 관한 연구 -라스베이거스 매직쇼(Magic Show)를 중심으로- (A Study about Expanding into International Markets through International Apparel Fairs -Emphasis on the Las Vegas Magic Show-)

  • Apparel fairs are business platforms specializing in selling fashion products. As the largest apparel fair in the United States and with the highest number of animated buyers in the entire world, the Las Vegas Magic Show utilizes this distribution platform to the greatest extent by sustaining over 90,000 buyers annually. In accordance, the exhibiting companies also participate in commercial functions by striving to promote brand awareness to consumers as they carefully plan to increase actual sales and secure new customers. Domestically, numerous organizations such as the Trade Promotion Administration, the Korean Apparel Association, and KOTRA(Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) present similar international apparel fairs to strongly encourage domestic companies to exhibit at international apparel fairs. However, many companies fail to succeed in achieving actual results, which frequently causes them to attend the shows for the short term only. This may occur due to the lack of research on apparel order-writing exhibitions by academia and proactive workers. This research study was based on the careful observation and analysis of the three most recent years of Magic exhibitor attendees' operations and changes to accomplish the final objective of presenting a basic guideline to attend an international apparel exhibition.

IPA 분석을 통한 농기계박람회 평가에 관한 실증연구 (An Empirical Study on Evaluation of Agricultural Machinery Expo Using IPA Analysis)

  • 본 연구는 2016년 충청남도 천안에서 개최된 대한민국 국제농기계자재박람회(영문약칭, KIEMSTA)를 토대로 참가업체의 관점에서 실증적 분석을 수행한 연구이다. 선행 연구를 바탕으로 참가 업체의 참가 목적에 대한 중요도와 참가 목적이 실제로 달성되었는지에 대한 여부를 판단하는 성취도에 관한 15가지의 동일 항목이 선정되었다. 본 연구는 2016년도 KIEMSTA에 참가한 국내 및 국외 453개 업체를 대상으로 실시하였으며, 그 중 유효성이 확보된 258개 업체를 대상으로 최종분석을 실시하였다. 분석을 위해 중요도-성취도 분석(IPA)의 결과를 토대로 도출되는 2차원의 사분면으로 유의미한 영역의 차이를 구분하여 정리하였다. 연구결과를 구체적으로 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 과잉영역(현상유지영역)에는 경쟁사의 제품의 정보수집, 자사의 능력전시, 자사의 전시경험 향상, 마케팅 영업팀 훈련, 유지영역(유지 강화영역)에는 기존 고객과의 관계유지, 시장정보 수집, 자사의 경쟁력 파악, 신제품 소개, 마케팅 영업팀의 고객소통능력 강화, 저순위영역(점진적 개선영역)에는 새로운 미래전망의 발견, 해외시장의 수출기회 파악, 박람회 미참가 기업대비 경쟁력 강화, 마지막으로 집중영역(중점적 개선영역)에는 매출증대, 핵심 의사결정자와의 만남, 신시장 개척과 같은 항목이 나타났다.

해외전시회에서 참관객 만족요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Satisfaction Factors of the Attendees to the Overseas Exhibitions)

  • This is the research on the correlation between the marketing activities conducted by the companies participating in the overseas exhibitions in the exhibition and the satisfaction of the visitors. I have been able to obtain the following findings through the positive research on the satisfaction of the visitors to the overseas exhibitions. The research findings show that the external elements of the participating companies such as 'external appearances of booths, interior facilities and the atmosphere', 'designs of exhibits', 'size of the participating companies', and the publicity elements of the participating companies such as 'the degree of application of mass media', 'prior publicity of the participating companies', etc. among the marketing activities conducted by the participating companies in the exhibition affect the interest and repeat business deals of the visitors. The findings also show that the elements to induce the interest of the visitors such as the booth design and display of products where the participating companies may produce their unique image and the prior publicity to the visitors constitute the important elements of marketing. It has also been revealed that the visitors whose purpose of the visits are to purchase the products and to satisfy their interest in 'the events and contents of the events affect the interest and the repeat business deals of the visitors, among the interest and repeat business deals pursuant to the characteristics of the visitors. It has also been found that the visitors who have recognized the representative brands in the exhibitions affect the interest and the repeat business deals and the visitors who have visited the exhibition several times are more satisfied than the visitors who have visited the exhibition for the first time. The comparative evaluation of the degree of importance of the marketing activities of the participating companies before the visitors' visit to the exhibitions and the degree of satisfaction after their visit reveals degrees of satisfaction in the order of 'the booth staff's professional knowledge of the exhibits', 'foreign language proficiency and their techniques of negotiation and demonstration', 'designs of the exhibits (colors and packaging), 'prior publicity of the participating companies. Such being the case, the companies participating in any of the overseas should maximize the result of their participation in the exhibition by training their staff in the products and foreign languages and through the prior publicity. It has also been found out that "the atmosphere of the booth in the exhibition such as 'launching of new products', 'external appearances of the booth, layout of the interior facilities and the atmosphere and events of the participating companies affect the interest and repeat business deals of the visitors, among the factors for the satisfaction of the visitors. Therefore, it has been proven that the external factors such as the external appearances of the booth, display of the products, launching of new products and events producing the atmosphere of the booth of the participating companies among the marketing activities conducted by the participating companies, and the extent of the training of the booth staff and prior publicity are the major factors affecting the interest and repeat business deals of the visitors.

  • The World exposition is considered as a great event to promote the cultural exchanges of their own urbanism and share the technological developments among the various countries across the all over the world. So many countries in the world desired to host and take part in the EXPO, so far only few countries have had the chance to hold the event and show their uniqueness of urban culture, but we might say the past exhibition as those for display and publication of matters of science, technology and trade, now we must say expositions of the 21th century has come under variations on cultural and informational interchange and humanism from the global issue and problem. What makes possible to maximize the effort of reciprocal communication between people and the public can be the EXPO event as a means of the public information of the theme and this kind of event should suggest the public a message of the topic, message, image and even more the EXPO spirits and theme as an international event gives as much considerably spreading effect as its big scale. In that aspect, the pavilion for the exhibition of EXPO and public information should be recognized as a place for smoothly forming the activities of reciprocal communication between the society and the public, with such a aspect this study, as its purpose of improving as well as communication, concerns the process in projecting the space paradigm of pavilion in the EXPO and public message and information as a means of the communication of the global theme.

여수반도권 지역발전을 위한 컨벤션센터의 입지분석 및 건립전략 (Establishment Strategies and Location Analysis of Convention Center for Regional Development of The Yosu Peninsular Area)

  • 컨벤션의 유치와 개최는 인적 물적 교류를 통한 국제 상호간의 이해를 증진시키고, 지역정제를 활성화시킨다는 측면에서 지역정책론자들의 관심의 대상이 되고 있다. 컨벤션센터는 도시의 정치 경제 문화의 중심적인 기능을 수행하기 때문에 선진국의 대부분 도시에는 컨벤션센터가 건립되어 있다. 컨벤션 및 컨벤션 산업은 일반 관장산업과는 달리 부가가치가 매우 높은 관광활동이기 때문에 오늘날 대도시의 새로운 관광산업으로 등장하고 있다. 본 연구는 다가오는 21세기 여수반도권의 여건변화를 고려하여 여수반도권의 컨벤션센터 건립의 필요성, 컨벤션센터의 입지성 분석, 지역 여건에 적합한 리조트형 컨벤션센터의 건립방향 및 추진전략을 제시해 보았다. 특히 여수반도권은 다가오는 2000년대에 환태평양시대 동북아 경제권의 해운 항만의 거점중심지, 중화학 철강 기계 등을 중심으로 한 우리 나라의 신산업지구로 기능하여 새로운 해상위락 관광재발의 요구가 증대될 지역으로 전망된다. 이러한 지역 내외적 변화에 적극적으로 대처하기 위한 방안의 하나로서 컨벤션센터의 건립이 요구된다. 그리고 선진국의 임해지역에서 활용하고 있는 텔레포트 기능과 리조트 기능, 그리고 컨벤션 기능을 적절하게 조화시키는 것이 매우 필요하며, 이를 위해서는 리조트형 컨벤션센터의 건립이 필요하다.

IT기술을 이용한 전문 전시회의 효용성에 대한 연구 - 온라인 초청 관람객을 포함한 관람객을 중심으로 - (A Study on Utility of the Specialized Exhibition Using IT Technology - Focussing on Attendees including On-line Invitation Visitors -)

  • 본 연구는 온라인 매체를 통한 전시회 참가의사를 밝힌 참관객의 행동 조사를 통해 전시 관련업체 도움의 목적으로 실시했으며 온라인으로 사전등록을 마친 후 모바일 쿠폰을 소지한 관람객을 포함한 KOREA PACK 2015관람객을 대상으로 설문을 실시하여 IT기술을 이용한 전문 전시회의 효과와 관람객의 만족도를 조사, 분석하여 전문 전시회의 기획에 도움을 주고자 실시하였다. 관련한 많은 선행 연구가 전시회 주최자, 전시 참가 업체를 중심으로 이루어진 바, 모바일 등의 IT 융합 기술을 이용한 전문 전시회에서 관람객의 관점에서 조사, 분석한 연구를 하고자 하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 전시회에 참관한 관람객의 참관동기에 IT기술의 온라인 홍보 경로의 유용성에 대한 설문을 포함한 그 관람 행태와 만족도 간의 관계를 분석하여 전시회의 효과에 대한 실증적 규명을 시도하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면, 첫째, 특정목적을 위해 전시회에 참관하는 경우 전시회 관련 정보를 능동적으로 탐색하고 있으며, 전시회 참관 동안 적극적인 정보수집 행동을 보이는 것으로 나타났으며, 구매의 가능성이 높다는 것을 확인하였다. 둘째, 적극적 관람객의 경우 구매결정력을 지닌 경우가 많다는 것을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 결과는 전문 전시회에 참관하는 관람객이 구매를 결정할 수 있는 권한과 책임을 지닌 경우가 많다는 것으로 참가업체는 전시회를 통하여 자사의 제품과 기술 경쟁력을 효과적으로 홍보하여 판매를 향상시킬 수 있는 방안이 요구된다. 셋째, 특정 목적을 지닌 관람객은 그렇지 않은 관람객에 비하여 관람 전시회에 대한 높은 만족도를 보였으나, 제품이나 기술관련 정보제공과 저렴한 구매의 기회 제공보다는 상담이나 직원 태도, 시설에 대한 만족도가 높게 나타나 이를 개선해야 할 필요성이 있다는 것을 확인하였다.
