  • Nanoimprint lithography (NIL) is a novel method of fabricating nanometer scale patterns. It is a simple process with low cost, high throughput and resolution. NIL creates patterns by mechanical deformation of an imprint resist and physical contact process. The imprint resist is typically a monomer or polymer formulation that is cured by heat or UV light during the imprinting process. Stiction between the resist and the stamp is resulted from this physical contact process. Stiction issue is more important in the stamps including narrow pattern size and wide area. Therefore, the antistiction layer coating is very effective to prevent this problem and ensure successful NIL. In this paper, an antistiction layer was deposited and characterized by PECVD (plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition) method for metal stamps. Deposition rates of an antistiction layer on Si and Ni substrates were in proportion to deposited time and 3.4 nm/min and 2.5 nm/min, respectively. A 50 nm thick antistiction layer showed 90% relative transmittance at 365 nm wavelength. Contact angle result showed good hydrophobicity over 105 degree. $CF_2$ and $CF_3$ peaks were founded in ATR-FTIR analysis. The thicknesses and the contact angle of a 50 nm thick antistiction film were slightly changed during chemical resistance test using acetone and sulfuric acid. To evaluate the deposited antistiction layer, a 50 nm thick film was coated on a stainless steel stamp made by wet etching process. A PMMA substrate was successfully imprinting without pattern degradations by the stainless steel stamp with an antistiction layer. The test result shows that antistiction layer coating is very effective for NIL.

  • To High Throughput Screening (HTS), a homogeneous fluorescence polarization immunoassay (FPIA) was developed for the quantitative determination of ochratoxin A(OTA) using a $Victor^3$ (PerkinElmer). The homologous tracer, fluorescein-labelled OTA-EDF were synthesized and a specific OTA antibody has been used in the development of the method. It allowed the determination of OTA in the concentration range 0.5-200 ng/ml, with the detection limit of 0.3 ng/ml. The method developed was highly specific and reproducible. OTA spikes in unpolished rice extracts were determinable by FPIA with good recovery. For naturally contaminated unpolished rice samples some disagreement was observed between the results obtained by FPIA and HPLC, which could be related to the a little matrix effect observed for FPIA. Further research is needed to validate the procedure. On the basis of these initial results, this FPIA appears to meet the performance criteria for OTA screening of food samples without a complicated clean-up.

  • Protein-protein interaction data obtained from high-throughput experiments includes high false positives. In this paper, we introduce a new protein-protein interaction reliability verification system. The proposed system integrates various biological features related with protein-protein interactions, and then selects the most relevant and informative features among them using a feature selection method. To assess the reliability of each protein-protein interaction data, the system construct a classifier that can distinguish true interacting protein pairs from noisy protein-protein interaction data based on the selected biological evidences using a classification technique. Since the performance of feature selection methods and classification techniques depends heavily upon characteristics of data, we performed rigorous comparative analysis of various feature selection methods and classification techniques to obtain optimal performance of our system. Experimental results show that the combination of feature selection method and classification algorithms provide very powerful tools in distinguishing true interacting protein pairs from noisy protein-protein interaction dataset. Also, we investigated the effects on performances of feature selection methods and classification techniques in the proposed protein interaction verification system.

  • Since tactical robots are going to be grown and tactical data communications will be more network-centric, the reliability of wireless tactical data networks is going to be very important in the future. However, the connectivity of such wireless tactical data networks can be extremely uncertain in practical circumstances. In this paper, we propose a searching technique to find out the weak boundary area of the network connectivity using a small UAV(unmanned aerial vehicle) which has a simple polling access function to wireless nodes on the ground in wireless tactical data networks. The UA V calculates the network topology of the wireless tactical data networks and coverts it to the Lapalcian matrix. In the proposed algorithm, we iteratively search the eigenvalues and find a minimum cut in the network resulting in finding the weak boundary of the connectivity for the wireless tactical data networks. If a UAV works as a relay nodes for the weak area, we evaluate that the throughput performance of the proposed algorithm outperforms star connection method and MST(minimum Spanning Tree) connection method. The proposed algorithm can be applied for recovering the connectivity of wireless tactical data networks.

  • This paper suggests a method to effectively apply an application model of fuzzy-neural network to the optimal load distribution algorithm, considering the complication and non-linearity of the web server environment. We use the clustering web server in the linux system and it consists of a load balancer that distributes the network loads and some of real servers that processes the load and responses to the client. The previous works considered only with the scrappy decision information such as the connections. That is, since the distribution algorithm depends on the input of the whole network throughput, it was proved inefficient in terms of performance improvement of the web server. With the proposed algorithm, it monitors the whole states of both network input and output. Then, it infers CPU and memory states of each real server and effectively distributes the requests of the clients. In this paper, the proposed model is compared with the previous method through simulations and we analysis the results to develop the optimal and intelligent load balancing model.

  • Recent advances in Cognitive Radio Networks (CRN) have elevated them to the status of a critical instrument for overcoming spectrum limits and achieving severe future wireless communication requirements. Collaborative spectrum sensing is presented for efficient channel selection because spectrum sensing is an essential part of CRNs. This study presents an innovative cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) model that is built on the Firefly Algorithm (FA), as well as machine learning artificial neural networks (ANN). This system makes use of user grouping strategies to improve detection performance dramatically while lowering collaboration costs. Cooperative sensing wasn't used until after cognitive radio users had been correctly identified using energy data samples and an ANN model. Cooperative sensing strategies produce a user base that is either secure, requires less effort, or is faultless. The suggested method's purpose is to choose the best transmission channel. Clustering is utilized by the suggested ANN-FA model to reduce spectrum sensing inaccuracy. The transmission channel that has the highest weight is chosen by employing the method that has been provided for computing channel weight. The proposed ANN-FA model computes channel weight based on three sets of input parameters: PU utilization, CR count, and channel capacity. Using an improved evolutionary algorithm, the key principles of the ANN-FA scheme are optimized to boost the overall efficiency of the CRN channel selection technique. This study proposes the Artificial Neural Network with Firefly Algorithm (ANN-FA) for cognitive radio networks to overcome the obstacles. This proposed work focuses primarily on sensing the optimal secondary user channel and reducing the spectrum handoff delay in wireless networks. Several benchmark functions are utilized We analyze the efficacy of this innovative strategy by evaluating its performance. The performance of ANN-FA is 22.72 percent more robust and effective than that of the other metaheuristic algorithm, according to experimental findings. The proposed ANN-FA model is simulated using the NS2 simulator, The results are evaluated in terms of average interference ratio, spectrum opportunity utilization, three metrics are measured: packet delivery ratio (PDR), end-to-end delay, and end-to-average throughput for a variety of different CRs found in the network.

  • Nanoimprint lithography (NIL) is useful technique because of its low cost and high throughput capability for the fabrication of sub-micrometer patterns which has potential applications in micro-optics, magnetic memory devices, bio sensors, and photonic crystals. Usually, a chemical surface treatment of the stamp is needed to ensure a clean release after imprinting and to protect the expensive original master against contamination. Meanwhile, adhesion promoter between resin and substrate is also important in the nanoscale pattern. In this work, we have investigated the effect of surface treatment using silane coupling agent as release layer and adhesion promoter for UV-Nanoimprint lithography. Uniform SAM (self-assembled monolayer) could be fabricated by vapor deposition method. Vapor phase process eliminates the use of organic solvents and greatly simplifies the handling of the sample. It was also proven that 3-acryloxypropyl methyl dichlorosilane (APMDS) could strongly improve the adhesion force between resin and substrate compared with common planarization layer such as DUV-30J or oxygen plasma treatment.

  • The most used smart set-top box in home driven by the Android OS and based on Wi-Fi technology has to ensure nothing wrong with the Wi-Fi service regardless of the various user's installation environment. The direction test method about the nondirectional of the Wi-Fi doesn't be determined as the standard and each manufacturers devise the their own test methods and conduct the tests. In this paper, we created the 720 test cases considering 2 components of upload & download, the 10 elements of the vertical angle and the 36 elements of the horizontal angle looking at the wireless router in order to verify omni-directional Wi-Fi capability. In reality, from viewpoint in terms of cost and time constraint, it is difficult to test all the test cases. Therefore, we decided to reduce test cases by applying Pair-wise testing technique which is one of combinational testing techniques based on ISO / IEC 29119-4. And we obtained the test cases in which the Pair-wise technique was applied by Allpairs tool which output test cases automatically and conducted the test. It could be confirmed that the proposed technique shortened 48.61% of the time to be spent in progressing the existing test cases and that the trace about the part in which the problem was generated with the result of the simplified test case was possible enough.

  • Specific endometrial preparation should occur during periimplantation period. That is a progress of serial differentiation and is absolute in implantation of embryo and successful pregnancy. Remodeling of tissues shown during embryogenesis is regulated by various factors including extracellular matrix (ECM). Marked changes during pregnancy are including embryo migration, decidual response, and differentiation of placenta in placental animals including human. These changes to successful implantation in embryo and uterus have to prepare the competence for attachment of embryo and uterus, and invasion defense of uterus. During these changes, ECM dramatically changes for maintaining the uterine and embryonic functions. The major component of most connective tissue is collagens. It is very complex and hard to explore the mechanisms for ECM modulation. Recently using high throughput methodology, PCR-select cDNA subtraction method, microarray, many candidate genes have been identified. Steroid hormones have fundamental role in implantation and maintenance of pregnancy. Dermatopontin, a regulator of collagen accumulation, is regulated spatio-temporally in the uterus by primarily progesterone through progesterone receptors at the time of implantation. Modulation of extracellular matrix is critically regulated by cascade of gene net-works which are regulated by cascade of sex steroid hormones. Pathological regulation of uterine extracellular matrix reported in diabetic patients. To know the extracellular modulation is essential to understanding implantation, feto-placental development and overcome the paths involved in female reproduction. Though ECM composed with very various components and it is complex, the present review focused on the fate of collagens during periimplantation period.
