In a modern mass society, a theme park satisfies a consumer's desire of being meaningful in such an imaginary space, which is far beyond the real life. The introductory area of the theme park is a boundary between th real and the imaginary spaces and a fundamental spac of realizing the introductory imaginary space. The objective of this study is to suggest an appropriate method of design application by analyzing the characteristics of the theme park with an example, a theoretical background is first presented by examining the characteristics of the introductory are of the theme park. Than, as an example that reflects well its characteristics, 'Global fair' of the Everland is selected and analyzed based on the developed theoretical background.

This study aims to examine the Visitor's selection attributes and types of preference regarding Rural Theme Village, and gather useful information for establishing differentiated marketing strategies suitable for market segments by the Visitor's selection attributes. In addition, it will contribute to securing competitiveness in providing Visitors with better service by extracting differentiating factors of Rural Theme Villages, and exploring the right direction of Rural Tourism. For the empirical analysis, the attributes were extracted based on the preliminary studies, and a survey was conducted among Visitors and users of Rural Theme Village to examine such factors as importance of selection attributes status, motives of using such Rural Theme Villages, demographic characteristics, and general features of the Rural Theme Villages.

A competitive and fashionable tourist theme park need to be constructed to develop their historical theme park, and to make own culture which is related to Busan' tradition. The subject of this study is to suggest the basic knowledge about number of customer to be estimated When cultural theme park is built up. The questionaries to customer is consist of the propensity of leasure, the use of similar facility, the type of theme park, and inclination of visitation to foreign and domestic tourist.

I will analyze the current status and limit of domestic animation character theme parks as a new trend of Kids industry so that diagnose the future of performing arts specialized animation character theme parks through the examples of foreign ones such as , , , and . Revisiting ratio is the most important factor for the domestic animation character theme parks which are being built in downtown. Close interaction with visitors will be possible through great quality character shows. Top quality shows could make this possible so that visitors could be more familiar with the park and the revisiting ratio must be raised as well as the difference between the theme park and others would be emphasized.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe cleaning workers' working experiences in Korea. Methods: The data were collected in two focus-group interviews with 9 cleaning workers. The phenomenological analytic method suggested by Colaizzi was used to analyze the data. Results: Five theme clusters and thirteen themes emerged from the analysis. The first theme clusters, 'Dead-end choice' included Limits of elderly women workers, Financial difficulties, Lowered self-esteem. The second theme clusters, 'Facing with discriminatory working environments' included Fear and unfair working conditions. The third theme clusters, 'Potential health problems' included Physical overload, Repeated exposure to hazardous substances and Emotional labor. The fourth theme clusters, 'Excluded from protection of the law' included Gloomy reality and Sexual harassment. The fifth theme clusters, 'Desire to get out of social isolation' included Efforts to maintain the status, Desire to live confidently and Desire to change social recognition. Conclusion: The findings of the study provide understanding on cleaning workers' working experiences to explain by their vision and language and should ensure proper working conditions and environment to live a better life.

The purpose of present study is that according to the changing tourism environment, detailed cultural environment will be utilized in the active way as systematized theme-based cultural space, and the increase of small theme-based cultural space will contribute to active participation of customers and local development with various programs. TCS was classified to theme-based cultural space contents E5(Education, Entertainment, Experience, Emotion and Economy) in focus of contents in which software is regarded more importantly than hardware, and was analyzed as contents of ten key tourism trend of the future. The present study indicate that experience centered tourism environment stood out in theme-based cultural space, and new era of cultural tourism to which storytelling in focus of emotion is applied will be coming.

The idea of shopping is changed from a purchase of merchandise to an experience of pleasure. This study is a space composition analysis for the introduction of theme in multi-plex shopping center design to reflect variable consumer trend and company marketing strategy, The study progressed through theoretical consideration and substance analysis about the shopping centers which had been designed by Jerd Partnership In Japan since 2000. The following is result. The path is a sole main street that is made of curve form, parallel and vertical circulating rout and movement of human being. It leads continuity. The node and landmarks have a circular court with typifier as powerful center, character of transition space and event for experience. It makes locational quality. The districts are composed of retail shops, restaurants and culture facilities and the edge is represented by closed vertical wall and parapet. It induces a domain. The characteristic of Jerde shopping center is an experience of theme environment through the path as betweenness with a story based on a main theme. It is mostly related nature or exotic element and is obviously represented at path and node. The node takes a round shape and bring about event as a court. The application of theme to the shopping center by Jerde has a significant meaning for place marketing.

This study was conducted to review strategic and effective utilization plans and suggest desirable development plans, taking into account the cultural and social values and ideologies of the local government's OSMU strategy and regional economic goals. To this end, the concept and characteristics of OSMU, domestic and international success cases were reviewed, and analyzed the detailed strategies, development results and achievements of Hong Gil-dong theme park in Jangseong-gun, and Simcheong theme park in Gokseong-gun. As a result of these analyses, first, it was confirmed that the Hong Gil-dong theme park and the Simcheong theme park were rational and justifiable choices that emphasized locality and publicity, the core of the local government's OSMU strategy. Second, it was confirmed that while Hong Gil-dong theme park achieved more stable and successful results, Simcheong theme park had poor achievement without utilizing the excellence and valuable goals of the original contents. Therefore, in order to achieve sustainable development while harmoniously satisfying the publicity and profitability, ideology and effectiveness, justification and economics of OSMU strategies of local governments, various research, reflection and work must be continuously carried out.

From the viewpoint of that music melody has the similar features to time-series data, music melody is transformed to a time-series data with normalization and corrections and the similarity between melodies is defined as the Euclidean distance between the transformed time-series data. Then, based the similarity between melodies of a music object, melodies are clustered and the representative of each cluster is extracted as one of theme melodies for the music. To construct the theme melody index, a theme melody is represented as a point of the multidimensional metric space of M-tree. For retrieval of user's query melody, the query melody is also transformed into a time-series data by the same way of indexing phase. To retrieve the similar melodies to the query melody given by user from the theme melody index the range query search algorithm is used. By the implementation of the prototype system using the proposed theme melody index we show the effectiveness of the proposed methods.
