청소년의 외모만족도가 학교적응에 미치는 영향과 자기효능감의 매개 효과 (The Influences of Appearance Satisfaction on School Adjustment and the Mediating Effects of Self-efficacy between Them among Adolescents)

  • Purpose: To examine the effects of appearance satisfaction on school adjustment among adolescents and, further, the mediating effects of self-efficacy between appearance satisfaction and school adjustment. Methods: Conducted a self-report survey of 640 students consisting of sixth, eighth, and tenth graders in the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. The collected data were analyzed through the independent-sample t-test, the One-way ANOVA, the Pearson's correlation analysis, and the hierarchical multiple regression analysis using the SPSS WIN 18.0 statistical program. Results: First, boys and girls showed statistically significant differences. Boys reported higher levels of appearance satisfaction, school adjustment, and self-efficacy than girls. Second, there were no significant differences in appearance satisfaction and self-efficacy according to the school level. However, statistically significant differences were observed in school adjustment between sixth and eighth graders. Third, students who thought they belonged to the upper class in terms of academic performance and family economy showed the highest level of appearance satisfaction, school adjustment, and self-efficacy. Fourth, there were positive correlations between appearance satisfaction, self-efficacy, and school adjustment. Fifth, self-efficacy proved to have mediating effects between appearance satisfaction and school adjustment among adolescents. In particular, it had a full mediating effect on the relation between appearance satisfaction and adjustment to school life, one of the subfactors of school adjustment. Conclusion: The results suggest that appearance satisfaction is a factor which influences adolescents' school adjustment and that self-efficacy is an important means of mediating between appearance satisfaction and school adjustment. The study is significant in that it highlighted the importance of self-efficacy as one of the important variables to consider when planning various educational programs to help adolescents adjust to their school. In the light of the findings, in an effort to enhance adolescents' self-efficacy and help them lead a harmonious school life in Korea's so-called 'lookism' society, it is necessary to develop and implement counseling programs and character education materials that help adolescents develop a positive perception of their appearance and build self-esteem and self-confidence.

교정환자의 교정치료 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors that Affect Orthodontic Patients Satisfaction about Orthodontic Treatment)

  • Purpose: The study has been undertaken on several factors that may influence on the orthodontic treatment satisfaction with the subject of male and female university students who have experience in receiving the orthodontic treatment by visiting orthodontic clinic. Methods: This study has implemented questionnaire survey for 350 male and female university students who have experience in receiving the orthodontic treatment by visiting orthodontic clinic due to the mall occlusion, From the 350 questionnaires collected, a total of 291 copies (83.1%) excluding the questionnaires that have inconclusive response or erroneous response is used as the research analysis data Results: The orthodontic treatment satisfaction is significantly higher for students in large cities and mid- to small sized cities than students in rural area, and it was higher for students with mid-economic class that students of upper class and lower class. It is shown for a student that began the orthodontic treatment from the elementary school, a student that had 5 times or more of brushing teeth for each day had significantly higher level of satisfaction that students that are not. In addition, a student that knows well of the oral hygiene management method, a student that had the fluoride application treatment during the orthodontic treatment period and a student that used the toothbrush for orthodontic service had significantly higher level of satisfaction that students that are not. Conclusion: Factors influencing on the orthodontic treatment satisfaction are very diverse and it is considered that it requires effort to improve the quality of medical service and sufficient understanding on several factors to improve the orthodontic treatment satisfaction for patients as well as the encouragement for orthodontic treatment patients of the relevant people in orthodontic clinics that provide the orthodontic clinic service.

일지역 초등학교 학부모의 학교보건사업에 대한 기대 (Expectation about school health program of primary school parents in a region)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the expectation about school health program of primary school parents as an important variable for growth of school health program fore area locked primary school parents 631 by self-administered questionnaire between June 20 and September 29, 2001 The results were as follows 1. General characteristic of the Subjects Age rates of the subjects were 45.5% on 35~39 years old and 34.7% over 40 years old. Economic status were middle level 86%, participation rates of school health education for parent were 16.8%, recognition rates on significance of school health education were 89.9%. 2. Health knowledge of parents The mean score on health knowledge of the subjects was 6.8 from a total of 10. there was a statistically significant difference with regard to health knowledge among the 7school(F=3.46, p=.016). 3. Health behavior of parents The mean score on health behaviors of the subjects was 77.3 from a total of 100. there was no statistically difference in health behavior among the school. 4. The expectation about school health program of the parents The mean score on the expectation about school health program of the subjects was 51.1 from a total of 140. there was a statistically significant difference with regard to the expe ctation about school health program among the school(F=3.75, p=.010). 5. Health behaviors and the expectation about school health program from sociod emogr aphic Backgrounds of the Subjects. In the backgrounds of the subjects, the score on health behavior was higher the mothers(t=2.89,p=.004), the upper class(F=7.38, p=.000), the higher participation level of school health education of parent(F=7.38, p=.000) and the higher recognition level on significance of school health education of parent(F=9.94, p=.000). The score on the expectation about school health program was higher the lower recognition level on significance of school, health education of parent and on the expectation about health screening & preventive services was significant difference by age. however, the difference was not significant in the others.

전문대학 식품영양과의 실험실습 및 현장실습 운영실태에 관한 연구 (A Stidy on the Real Management of Experimental-practice and Spot-practice at Department of Food and Nutrition of Junior College in Korea)

  • This study was conducted to gather the baseline data on realities of experimental-practice and opinions toward spot-practice, and to examine how to cope with the problems raised at the Department of Food and Nutrition of Junior Technical College in Korea. Questionnaires were gathered from 42 chairmans of the Department of Food and Nutrition and 140 Present dieticians worked in Seoul, Bucheon am Seongnam area. The results are as follows, First, as a whole, each college had 2~3 experimental laboratory (Lab), in which Cooking Science Lab. Chemistry Lab and Microbiology Lab were occurred at higher frequency as Lab's name. Second, the numbers per experimental-practice class were more than 40 at most colleges. 85% of Present dieticians have answered to feel too much numbers per the class during their college days, whereas professors' opinions toward the numbers per class were suitable at 20~30 persons per class. Third, professors' opinion toward the adquate ratio of the theory subject classes to experimental subject classes was suitable at 60 : 40. Dieticians answered to take the theory subject classes partly or mostly on behalf of the experimental-practice classes. Fourth, the main reasons which inhibited normal experimental-practice class were the class for emphasis on examination, the shortage of experiment budget, the excess of class members, the shortage of experimental Lab Also, this results showed same propensity to present dieticians' opinion toward the same question above. Fifth, among the experimenta1-practice subjects established at the Department of Food and Nutrition, Diet Therapy Lab was highest frequency class emphasized on theory followed by Nutrition Counselling Lab, Food Processing and Storage Lab, Food Hygiene Lab and Food Microbiology Lab in that order. Here, Basic Chemistry Lab, Biochemistry Lab, Food Microbiology Lab were pointed as subjects far from the present task of dieticians. Sixth, Department of Food and Nutrition, as a whole, has conferred with spot-practice arrangement About 50% (all who want to join spot-practice) of second year students took part in spot-practice. In the other way, all colleges except for 2 colleges didn't give the credit for the spot-practice system. Seventh, according to the on analysis on spot-practice places, manufacturing company was at highest frequcney followed by hospitals, elementary school having group feeding system in that order. Especially, 16.7% (5 colleges) of the total colleges sent the students to the research institute related to food industry for spot-practice experience. Eighth, Professors' opinions toward the spot-practice time and period were preferable on summer vacation of second year and for 1~2 weeks, respectively. On the contrary, 74 dieticians answered to the adquate period as for 4 weeks. Ninth, 86 dieticians of the total 140 answered to complete the spot-practice during their college days, which helps the present task of them. Lacks of spot-practice program, Lacks of comprehension of upper personals and lacks of group feeding equipments ranks higher as difficulties in spot-practice management.

현실적 맥락을 활용한 수학화 학습이 아동의 수학적 사고에 미치는 효과 -초등학교 5학년 도형 영역을 중심으로- (Effect of Mathematising Learning Using Realistic Context on the Children's Mathematical Thinking)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 현실적 맥락을 활용한 수학화 학습을 실제 현장에 적용하여 이러한 학습이 아동의 수학적 사고에 어떠한 효과를 나타내는지 알아보는 데에 있다. 이러한 연구 목적을 위해 서울시 D초등학교 5학년 2개 학급을 연구 대상으로 6주간 17차시에 걸쳐 실험이 이루어졌고, 실험 설계는 전후 검사 통제집단 설계를 하였다. 또한 1학기말 수학 학업 성취도 평가 결과를 기준으로 선정된 실험 집단의 상(30%), 하(30%) 집단 학생들을 대상으로 하여 시기별(전기-중기-후기)로 관찰, 질문지, 녹음, 활동지와 형성평가지 분석의 방법을 사용하여 현실적 맥락을 활용한 수학화 학습을 통해 나타난 아동의 수학화 과정이 어떠한지를 각 과정별로 분석하여 살펴보았다. 그 결과 현실적 맥락을 활용한 수학화 학습을 실시한 실험집단의 경우 수학의 방법 및 내용적 측면에서 나타난 수학적 사고에서 평균 점수가 비교 집단보다 향상되었고 통계적으로도 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 또한 현실적 맥락을 활용한 수학화 학습을 실시한 수학 집단에서 수학화 과정의 4단계인 직관적 탐구, 수평적 수학화, 수직적 수학화, 응용적 수학화 각각의 과정에서 상 하위 집단별 학생들은 수업이 전기-중기-후기로 진행되어 갈수록 각 과정의 수학화가 더욱 활발히 일어났음을 알 수 있었다.

Effect of Biophilic-Horticultural Education on Children's Multisensory Enhancement

  • This study aimed to develop a program that can be linked to gardening education activities in elementary students' curriculums and creative experience learning courses, and to apply the developed program to 6th graders in an elementary school located in Seoul. Research was conducted in a large category called biophilia, which named the instinct of human nature and nature throughout the research. The curriculum revised in 2015 was selected for the purpose of the garden education program based on the objectives and contents of the unit, and for the purpose of the class. In the process of developing and implementing the program, experience properties and elements were divided into direct and indirect experience of nature, including shapes and forms found in nature, air, water, plants, weather, animals, and natural materials. The results showed that the biophilic horticultural education program was effective in promoting students' multi senses. In the case of the experimental group, all the multi-sensory areas showed statistically significant differences, especially in the area of environmental literacy, environmental effect and emotional balance including plant cultivation knowledge. There was a relatively smaller difference in the dietary effect area than other areas because of no directional dietary program was included in the developed program. As a result, first, it is expected that the data can be utilized on site as a program or place of activity for students in upper grades. Second, it will be necessary to develop a more diverse program using other biophilic elements that were not covered in this study in order to maximize the effects of biophilic education.

학습구조차트를 활용하는 등산학습법의 초등수학 적용과 효과에 관한 연구 (The Effects of 'Climbing learning Method' in the Learning of Mathematics in Elementary School)

The Effect of Self-Regulation Ability, Materialism and Altruism on Ethical Consumption Behavior in Children Consumers

  • This purpose of this study was to analyze the variables associated with the ethical consumption behavior of children consumers. This subjects were 431 elementary school students. PASW 18.0 was used for data processing to do frequency analysis, T-test, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows. First, children consumers tend to a little higher everyday ethical consumption behavior than others-oriented ethical consumption behavior. Second, as a result of analyzing ethical consumption behavior according to social economic variables, a high tendency of ethical consumption behavior was shown in groups that personality is extrovert and their household economic status is over upper middle class and father's age is higher. Third, the variables affecting ethical consumption behavior of children consumers were self-regulation ability, materialism, altruism, personality tendency, household economic status. Materialism had a negative effect but self-regulation ability, materialism, altruism, personality tendency, and household economic status had a positive effect.

가상현실 스포츠실 수업의 프레즌스 경험이 즐거움, 몰입 및 스포츠 활동 참여의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Presence Experience of Virtual Reality Sports Class on Pleasure, Flow, and Intention to Participate in Sports Activity)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 가상현실 체육실 수업의 실재 경험이 즐거움과 몰입을 경험할 때 스포츠 활동 참여의도에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보는 것이다. 조사는 초등학교 고학년을 대상으로 총 300명을 60부씩 표본추출하여 설문지 중 응답이 불성실한 24부를 제외하고 총 276부의 자료를 연구에 사용하였다. 본 연구에서 사용한 데이터 처리는 SPSS ver. 24.0 및 AMOS 버전. 24.0 통계프로그램을 이용하여 확증요인분석, 빈도분석, Cronbach's α 계수계산, 상관분석, 구조방정식모형분석을 실시하였다. 이러한 과정을 통해 다음과 같은 결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 가상현실 체육실 수업의 실재 체험은 즐거움에 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 가상현실 체육실 수업에서 즐거움과 몰입의 관계는 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 가상현실 체육실 수업의 즐거움은 체육활동 참여의도에 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 넷째, 가상현실 체육실에 참가한 학생들의 수업몰입도는 향후 체육활동 참여의도에 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다.

교과외 활동이 교육수요자의 학교만족도에 미치는 영향 -창의적 체험활동, 생활지도, 상담활동을 중심으로- (The Effects of Extracurricular Activities on School Satisfaction of Education Demanders -Focused on creative experiential activities, life guidance, counseling activities-)

  • 본 연구는 교과외 활동인 창의적 체험활동, 생활지도, 상담활동이 교육수요자인 학생과 학부모의 학교만족도에 미치는 영향을 검증하고, 학교만족도를 높이기 위한 실천적 정책적 대안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울시에 거주하는 초 중 고등학생 1,242명과 학부모 1,023명을 대상으로 설문을 실시한 뒤 설문내용을 바탕으로 t검증, 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 세 가지 주요한 분석결과를 도출했다. 첫째, 교과외 활동은 학교만족도에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 일반적으로 한국의 학부모는 높은 교육열로 입시위주의 교육과정을 강조할 것으로 생각되었으나 학생과 학부모 두 집단 모두 교과외 활동이 강화될수록 학교만족도가 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학교 급별로 학교만족도에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났는데 학교 급이 올라 갈수록 학교만족도가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 교육수요자인 학생과 학부모의 교육만족도를 높이기 위해서는 교과외 활동이 필요하다는 것을 알 수 있다. 또한 고학년인 고등학교에도 지금보다 교과외 활동을 보강할 필요가 있다.
