Despite the commercialization of Next generation sequencing (NGS) gene testing, only a few studies have addressed the various ethical and legal problems associated with NGS testing in Korea Here, we reviewed the normative issues that emerged at each stage of the wet analysis and bioinformatics analysis of NGS gene testing. In particular, it was in mind to apply various international guidelines and the principles of bioethics to actual clinical practice. Considering the characteristics of NGS testing, wet analysis of additional testing can be justified if presumptive consent is recognized. Furthermore, the medical relationship between diseases needs to be established and it should be clear that the patient would have given consent if the patient had been aware of the correlation between genes. At the stage of bioinformatics analysis, the question of unsolicited findings arises. In case of unsolicited and relevant findings, according to American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG), a recognized relationship between genes and diseases needs to be established. In case of unsolicited and not-relevant findings, it is almost impossible to determine whether knowing or not knowing the findings is more beneficial to the patient. However, it seems to be certain that the psychological harm an individual may suffer from such information is likely to be greater if the disease is severe and if there is no cure. The list of genes for which the ACMG guidelines impose reporting obligations is a good reference for judgment.

In the creative problem solving processes, the core was to generate unique and various ideas. Thus, an assumption reversal thinking skill needed to be considered as a concrete method that could help students who have difficulties with generating ideas. In this study, we applied the assumption reversal thinking skill to university students and explored the characteristics of the idea generation process. On the basis of the results, we found that the assumption reversal thinking skill helped students generate new ideas, inducing their perspective changes. Therefore, we could ascertain the possibilities of the assumption reversal thinking skill as a thinking frame supporting students' idea generation. However, there is a need to develop methods for students to exclude prejudice by theoretical judgment, intervention of the value, and experience for fostering more effective assumption reversal thinking. Also, ways should be considered so that students would be able to cultivate task commitment and courage of implementing new ideas, bearing criticism from others.

In this study, major problems, such as licensing problems due to civil complaints, deterioration of facility period, and damage of modules, are exposed to many problems in domestic businesses. Particularly, the photovoltaic (PV) modules applied to early PV systems have been repaired and replaced over the past two decades, and a new module-based aging detection method is needed to expand the maintenance market and stabilize and repair power supplies. PV modules in a PV system use a string that is configured in series to generate high voltage. However, even if only one module of the solar modules connected in series ages, the power generation efficiency of the aged string is reduced. Therefore, we propose a topology that can measure the instantaneous PV characteristic curve to determine the aging module in the solar string and the aging judgment algorithm using the measured PV characteristic curve.

The longitudinal flight parameters of a light airplane are estimated from flight test data by use of the output error method. The reliability of the flight test measurement is examined in engineering judgment, scatter and Cramer-Rao bound, which turns out to be satisfactory with minor defects. Estimated parameter values are validated by comparing the simulated responses with the ones from actual flight tests. The FTD(Flight Training Device) of a light airplane turns out to satisfy the qualification of FAA Level 5 FTD in longitudinal motion. All the necessary practices for generation of high-fidelity data in longitudinal motion of a light aircraft are successfully performed in this study.
Among Generation IV reactors, the sodium-cooled fast reactor (SFR) is attracting attention as a system having great potential for commercial use. Gas entrainment is a thermal-hydraulic issue related to the safety problem of the reactor core in the SFR. Typically, a dipped plate or baffles are installed under the free surface to suppress gas entrainment. However, these approaches can cause gas entrainment in other locations and require many trial-and-error and verifications. In this study, a new strategy using magnetohydrodynamics to suppress gas entrainment in the SFR is proposed. In a counter-flow model, a judgment criterion of gas entrainment occurrence was developed for both water and liquid metal. Moreover, the gas entrainment can be completely suppressed by applying a magnetic field.
In this paper, we propose a detector generation model which is applied to immune system to improve the misuse detection rates in misuse detection models. 10cv method is used to sendmail data which is provided by the DARPA. We experimented and analyzed the misuse detection rate that is either judgment of the normal system call as abnormal system call or judgment of the abnormal system call as normal system call. In the experiment, between detector which was generated by any abnormal system call and temporary detector. I did experiments with a new detector which was removed temporary detector which made a wrong decision for normal system call as an abnormal system call and abnormal system call as a normal system call. The misuse detection rate of detector which is applied to the immune system is greater than the other detector by 0.3%.
The purpose of this study is to examine the structure and heat generation mechanism of low voltage switches used to turn on or off the power supply to an indoor lighting system and investigate how the fixtures and movable contacts of the switches are damaged depending on the types of energy sources in order to secure the judgment base for expected PL disputes. Based on the Korean Standard (KS) testing method for incombustibility, this study applied a general flame to the switch. In addition, current was supplied to the switch using the PCITS (Primary Current Injection Test System). The ambient temperature and humidity were maintained at $22{\pm}2^{\circ}C$ and 40~60% respectively while performing the test. It is thought that the switch generated heat due to a defective connection of the wire and clip, insulation deterioration and defective contact of the movable contact, etc. The surface of the switch damaged by the general flame was uniformly carbonized. When the flame source was removed, the fire on the switch was extinguished naturally. From the result obtained by disassembling the switch carbonized by the general flame, it could be seen that fixtures and movable contacts remained in comparatively good shape but the enclosure, clip support, movable contact, indicating lamp, etc. showed carbonization and discoloration. In the case of the switch damaged by overcurrent, the clip connecting the wires, clip support, etc. showed almost no trace of damage, but the fixtures, movable contact, indicating lamp, etc. were severely carbonized. That is, the sections with high contact resistance were intensively damaged and showed a damage pattern indicating that carbonization progressed from the inside to the outside. Therefore, it is possible to judge the initial energy source by analyzing the characteristics of the carbonization pattern and the metal fixtures of damaged switches.
The present study was attempted to compare duality in value structure and judgment system between youth, adults and North Korean defectors. A questionnaire was administered to 150 college students(Men: 89, Women: 61), 155 adults(Men: 80, Women: 75) and 80 North Korean defectors(Men: 39, Women: 41). Participants rated their values, behavior and South Korean behavior (or North Korean behavior for North Korean defectors) as a whole both on the 7 dimensions relevant to characteristics indigenous to Korean society and on their opposite 7 dimensions characteristic of Western culture. Results indicated that defectors marked the highest score on the traditional value dimensions, and yet youth ranked the first for the western value systems. Also, duality in value systems was the most severe for the defectors. In relation to dual judgement system in behavior, both young and old generation judged Korean behavior more negatively than their own. This was also the case for the North Korean defectors. Those findings were discussed in terms of cultural changes in Korean society.

Risk-Risk-based inspection (RBI) has been developed in order to identify risky equipments that can cause major accidents or damages in large-scale plants. This assessment evaluates the equipment's risk, categorizes their priorities based on risk level, and then determines the urgency of their maintenance or allocates maintenance resources. An earlier version of the risk-based assessment software is already installed within the equipment management system; however, the assessment is based on examination by an inspector, and the results can be influenced by his subjective judgment, rather than assessment being based on failure probability. Moreover, the system is housed within a server, which limits the inspector's work space and time, and such a system can be used only on site. In this paper, the development of independent risk-based assessment software is introduced; this software calculates the failure probability by an analytical method, and analyzes the field inspection results, as well as inspection effectiveness. It can also operate on site, since it can be installed on an independent platform, and has the ability to generate an I/O function for the field inspection results regarding the period for an optimum maintenance cycle. This program will provide useful information not only to the field users who are participating in maintenance, but also to the engineers who need to decide whether to extend the lifecycle of the power machinery or replace only specific components.
Due to its high spectrum efficiency, 64-amplitude phase-shift keying (64-APSK) is one of the primary technologies used in deep space communications and digital video broadcasting through satellite-second generation. However, 64-APSK suffers from considerable computational complexity because of the de-mapping method that it employs. In this study, a low-complexity de-mapping method for (4 + 12 + 20 + 28) 64-APSK is proposed in which we take full advantage of the symmetric characteristics of each symbol mapping. Moreover, we map the detected symbol to the first quadrant and then divide the region in this first quadrant into several partitions to simplify the formula. Theoretical analysis shows that the proposed method requires no operation of exponents and logarithms and involves only multiplication, addition, subtraction, and judgment. Simulation results validate that the time consumption is dramatically decreased with limited degradation of bit error rate performance.
