The ratio of mobility handicapped was 12,110,000 in late 2009 about 24.4% of total population. The number of handicapped population is increasing continuously due to traffic accidents and industrial disasters. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to suggest a design for passengers on wheelchairs to get into and off to raise handicapped or elderly people's right of mobility. The scope of this research is mobility handicapped especially wheelchair passengers who use vans, small buses, and trains. The ramp design of vans is module form. The ramp is moved with screw jack and guides are installed on each side to increase stability. Moreover, a bridge was installed for smooth getting in and off of the van. The ramp design for small bus is lowed by 200m in order not to have obstacle such as speed bump when getting in or off. In order to reduce vulnerable environment and administration, air slide cylinder was chosen. Lastly, for the ramp design of train, the principle of link was used that the simpler structure made the weight lighter and installation in the train became easier. If we look at the conjugation condition of heterogeneous materials to produce a ramp, proper welding condition for cold steel plate and stainless plate is 3kW output and 3-5m/min of welding speed using laser beam seems proper.

Depressive status of the adolescence in 437 normal, 416 orphan, 133 physically handicapped and 109 deaf-mute children were compared with the Self- Rating Depression Scale developed by Zung, from April 26 to July 4, 1976. The subjects were divided into two groups, early adolescence for age of 10 to 14 and ate adolescence of age of 15 to 18. The results were as follows : 1. The depression score was higher in late adolesce co than in early adolescence except deaf - mutes, 2. The depression score was not different significantly between the sexes in all groups. 3. The depression score was significantly higher in the group of orphan, physically handicapped and deaf - mute children then in the normal. 4. The depression score was significantly higher in the orphans than in the physically handicapped children. It showed tendency to be higher in the deaf - mutes than in the physically handicapped children. 5. In comparison with the rank order of the Self - Rating Depression Scale items, normal group was inclined to have psychological symptoms in higher rank order, but orphan and deaf - mute group was inclined to have somatic symptoms in higher rank order.

This study shows the 'design guide-line' for the handicapped people who uses certain buildings or facilities, for Barrier Free. It has the object that they are able to utilize the facilities in the variable buildings basically and to approach to informations without difficulties. So, it can be used as 'design guide-line' for the handicapped people through several architectural criterions.

사회적 취약계층을 위한 보완 대체 기술적 연구가 활발하게 연구되어지고 있다. 특히, 의사소통 분야에서는 비장애인과 장애인이 자연스럽게 의사를 주고받기 위해 여러 가지 방법과 장치가 나왔지만, 아직까지 비장애인과 같이 완벽한 의사소통을 하기에는 기술적인 보완과 지속적인 연구가 필요한 시점이다. 따라서, 본 논문은 중증장애 및 의사소통에 어려움을 가지고 있는 장애인들이 보다 쉽고 빠르게 의사를 전달하여, 생활함에 있어 도움을 주는데 목적이 있다. 중증장애인의 의사소통을 원활하게 이루어 질수 있도록 도와주는 Smart Workflow AAC(Augmentative and Alternative Communication) 기능과 장애인의 상황별 편리하게 서비스를 제공해 주는 IR센서 기반의 상황 인지 기능을 개발하였다. 제한된 시스템은 실험을 통하여, 개개인의 장애 상황별 스케줄을 관리 및 장애인의 의사소통에 있어서 보다 직관적으로 전달하는데 효율적인 것이 증명 되었다.

The disabled peoples increase in number by disasters from the industrialization and urbanization. The physically handicapped people experience many difficulties in using the facilities in the public buildings. So, this survey proposed the necessary conditions for the handicapped peoples to use without any trouble in public buildings. The objects of investigation were public buildings, village offices, a public library, synthesis hospitals banks, an express bus station, a wedding building, a railroad station etc.. Conclusions were as follow \circled1 The most of buildings were established access road in regulations but parking area was established inappropriately in regulations \circled2 The most of convenience facilities were concentrated on first floor but were established barely in more than second floor. \circled3 The most of convenient facilities were established in appropriately in regulations. \circled4 The other convenient facilities(reception desk, ticket agency, work desk etc.) were not established nearly in the buildings of investigation.

This thesis is aimed to suggest the efficiency at the education space for job-rehabilitation through grasping the characteristics of behavior and attitude of the handicapped and analyzing their loaming behavior as an employment promotion for the disabled. For that purpose, the demand of the handicapped and some overlooked space problems we searched by survey, interview, observation and investigation to offer basic data for interior design planning. It resulted firstly that the inconvenience of narrow space was pointed out in many responses implying users suffer from the stress and inconvenience caused by an unconsidered space planning to their behavior. And secondly further difficulties are added when medical appliances for the disabled are not appropriate to common furniture. Finally, without identification of the behavior and attitude of the handicapped the minimum or optimum space needed for them could not be suggested and it may cause to decrease the efficiency in their learning.

In an aging society, the mobility and the accessibility are considered sincerely for the elderly and the handicapped person. The slide-up seat system, which helps board and disembark a car via electric power was developed for the elderly, the handicapped and the families who accompany them. In this paper, critical factors and methods to design the mechanism and controller for safety and comfortableness are suggested. The performance of the system including linkage, electrical, and electronic parts was improved by changing the detail design and some parts after durability test for them.

About 12 million people of the mobility handicapped were increased by the end of 2009 year. Universal design concept has been implemented in developed countries. Since 2004 low-floor buses are in Korea. In this study, there is no provision for mobility handicapped and small buses that can be comfortable riding car ramp design presented. The gate of a small buses lowered height of 200mm. Install the ramp in the center of the ramp by an air cylinder moves from side to side. The slope of the ramp was controlled by a hinge. Air cylinder thin type applicable in the narrow space of the slide cylinder was used.

The purpose of this study is to analyze problems of KS measurement of the wheelchair and a pair of crutches and to propose proper measurements of the wheelchair and a pair of crutches for the posteriori handicapped. Research method is as following ; First, it is compared that Anthropometry of Korean and Japanese adults relevance with design measurement of the wheelchair and a pair of crutches. Second, we compared measurements of KS wheelchairs with measurements of the wheelchair manufactured by the T aids company and the D aids company, and then compared and analyzed differences of measurements about each part of the wheelchair. Third, we compared measurements of a pair of crutches of an fixed and an elastic type with anthropometry and analysis. The result, measurements of KS wheelchair and KS a pair of crutches shows unsuitable to Korean adults. It may cause handicapped. We proposed measurements of the aids(the wheelchair and a pair of crutches) proper to the handicapped of Korean adults with improvement of these problems.

Caring is the essence and it is the central and unifying domain for the body of knowledge and practice in nursing. However a clear conceptualization of what caring in nursing does not yet exist. The purpose of this study is to research the phenomenon of caring by obtaining verbal description of the experience of caring in handicapped children, to provide basic information for developing theory of caring, and to teach the humanism centered education. The study design was a descriptive study using phenomenological method. The subjects for this study were 26 nursing students who cared for handicapped children in S rehabilitation center from August, 24 to October. 29 1994. Van kamm's phenomenological method was used for the analysis of the datas. The results are as follows : The experience of caring was classified with 15 common elements and 61 descriptive expressions from 120 raw data. The common elements were , , , , , , , , , , , , , .
