The operation of double deck train have increased in many countries such as Japan france, and the Netherlands as efficient, safe and convenient alternative transportation systems. Because of continuous concentration of population into Seoul metropolitan and serious traffic jam, the number of passengers using the commuter train have been increased rapidly. Considering these situations, we can find one of the solutions for heavy traffic problems through double deck trains. Stainless steel, and aluminum extruded panel are used to reduce the weight of double deck train. In this paper we compare the results of structural analysis of the double deck car body structures with Al extruded panels and stainless steel. We hope the results of this study may be used as basic guidelines in designing double deck trains in the future.

In this study, hydroforming characteristic of the double-layered tube was investigated in the hydroforming process. The double-layered tube can be made outer surface on the stainless steel by only one processing. The free bulging test was performed to analysis optimized pressure and axial feeding amount of the double layered tubes. And the experimental results between stainless/carbon and carbon/carbon double-layered tube were compared with the forming data. Moreover analysis model that can be hydroformability and predictable forming pressure of double-layered tube was presented.

Kato[6] and Torres[9] characterized the Weierstrass semigroup of ramification points on h-hyperelliptic curves. Also they showed the converse results that if the Weierstrass semigroup of a point P on a curve C satisfies certain numerical condition then C can be a double cover of some curve and P is a ramification point of that double covering map. In this paper we expand their results on the Weierstrass semigroup of a ramification point of a double covering map to the Weierstrass semigroup of a pair (P, Q). We characterized the Weierstrass semigroup of a pair (P, Q) which lie on the same fiber of a double covering map to a curve with relatively small genus. Also we proved the converse: if the Weierstrass semigroup of a pair (P, Q) satisfies certain numerical condition then C can be a double cover of some curve and P, Q map to the same point under that double covering map.

In the previous double auction research for the market optimization, two basic assumptions are usually applied - (1) each trader has a linear or quasi-linear utility function of price and quantity, and (2) buyers as well as sellers have identical utility functions. However, in practice, each buyer and seller in a double auction market may have diverse utility functions for trading goods. Therefore, a flexible and integrated double auction mechanism that can integrate all traders' diverse utility functions is necessary. In particular, the flexible mechanism is more useful in a synchronous double auction because traders can properly change utilities in each round. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a flexible synchronous double auction mechanism in which traders can express diverse utility functions for the price and quantity of the goods, and optimal total market utility is guaranteed. In order to optimize the total market utility which consists of multiple complex utility functions of traders. We show the viability of the proposed mechanism through a several simulation experiments.

In recent years, due to the continuous concentration of population and sharp increment of commuters around Seoul metropolitan area, traffic jam has become one of severe problems along with housing in this area. In oder to solve the problem like the one mentioned above, several countries such as Japan, France and so on gradually operate double deck trains as efficient, reliable and comfortable mass transportation systems. However, the double deck train has weak points such as big cross sectional area and high mass center that cause unsafe vehicle running performances and interface problems between the vehicles and infrastructures. Therefore, prior to operate double deck trains on the existing lines, careful investigations should be performed. For these reasons, we have investigated foreign double deck trains and studied the technologies for a double deck train as an alternative way to carry heavy transportation efficiently and comfortably.

Objectives : We intended to evaluate the double standard status and to identify factors of determining double standard criteria in multinational corporations of Korea, and specifically those in the occupational health and safety area. Methods : A postal questionnaire had been sent, between August 2002 and September 2002, to multinational corporations in Korea. A double standard company was defined as those who answered in more than one item as adopting a different standard among the five items regarding double standard identification. By comparing double standard companies with equivalent standard companies, determinants for double standards were then identified using logistic regression analysis. Results : Of multinational corporations, 45.1% had adopted a double standard. Based on the question naire's scale level, the factor of 'characteristic and size of multinational corporation' was found to have the most potent impact on increasing double standard risk. On the variable level, factors of 'number of affiliated companies' and 'existence of an auditing system with the parent company' showed a strong negative impact on double standard risk. Conclusion : Our study suggests that a distinctive approach is needed to manage the occupational safety and health for multinational corporations. This approach should be focused on the specific level of a corporation, not on a country level.

A skewed double power function distribution is defined by a double power function distribution. We shall evaluate the coefficient of the skewness of a skewed double power function distribution. We shall obtain an approximate maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) and a moment estimator (MME) of the skew parameter in the skewed double power function distribution, and compare simulated mean squared errors for those estimators. And we shall compare simulated MSEs of two proposed reliability estimators in two independent skewed double power function distributions with different skew parameters.

The NOx emission characteristics of double-concentric diffusion flames and normal diffusion flames fueled with CH$_4$ were studied. Experimental and numerical investigations were carried out for double-concentric diffusion flame with varying central air flow rate and normal diffusion flame. The Emission indices of NOx(EINOx) were measured by chemiluminescent method and calculated by numerical model based on detailed chemistry. From the comparison between double-concentric diffusion flames and normal diffusion flames, the results show that EINOx of double-concentric diffusion flames are lower than normal diffusion flame, because of Prompt EINOx was decreased. EINOx of double-concentric diffusion flames increase with central air flow rate increasing.

The use of glass applied to curved surface as a building material has increased in recent years. However, the curved glass is difficult to guarantee the quality in process of making it into double glazing, So it is vulnerable to thermal breakage. In this paper, when the glass broken during experiments, surface temperature difference on curved double glazing was compared to that of heat strengthened glass and flat glass. As a result, flat single glass was broken at temperature difference of 100~140 degrees but curved double glazing was broken at that of 40~60 degrees. Therefore, curved double glazing is more vulnerable than flat double glazing to thermal breakage, so it should be considered when applied to building facade.

In 2005, Patterson studied lacunary statistical convergence of double sequences of real numbers and, in 2009, Mursaleen introduced notion of lacunary statistical convergence of single sequences in intuitionistic fuzzy normed space. The current work intends to investigate the lacunary statistical convergence of double sequences and some significant conclusions on the algebra of the lacunary statistical limit of double sequences in intuitionistic fuzzy normed space. In addition, we have studied some examples to support the definitions.
