Since the solution vector for input-output forecasting models is not directly obtainable, several iterative procedures have been proposed and utilized. As is often the case in numerical analysis, the question of the consistency between the original system and the converged system of the proposed iteration has been ignored, and no one has tried to express the converged solution explicitly. This paper examines this question and points out the inconsistencies between various well-known iterative procedures used to solve input-output models and the original input-output system.

The expression no matter, combining with an interrogative clause X, expresses 'it doesn't matter what the value is of X' and displays many syntactic and semantic peculiarities. To better understand the grammatical properties of the construction in question, we investigate English corpora available online and suggest that some of the irreducible properties the construction displays can be best captured by the inheritance mechanism which plays a central role in the HPSG and Construction Grammar. We show that the construction in question has its own constructional properties, but also inherits properties from related major head constructions.

The study on the intonational characteristics is concentrated on the lowering of the pitch level that is described as declination and downstep. The Taegu dialect, which has phonological accentual system, has these phonetic characteristics in affirmative sentences or Yes-No Question sentences. But there is the opposite phenomenon in WH question sentences in Taegu dialect. When the accent of interrogative word in the sentence intial position is LHL, intonation pattern shows a continuous upward movement, indicating that intonation pattern of Taegu dialect is influenced by not only grammatical system but also accentual system.

Randomized response technique is a survey technique for eliminating evasive answer bias. This technique is popular in social survey for sensitive issues. In this paper we present a simple and obvious procedure for estimating the population proportion of a sensitive group. Here, we shows the weak point in the method of Kim and Warde (2005). Also, it is found that the proposed procedure is more efficient than the ones of Warner (1965) and Kim and Warde (2005). Lastly we discuss the conditions that the suggested method will be more efficienct.

What is the role of right and left-brain in creative thinking? The current study is to address this question. Two empirical studies were performed to answer the question. First one is regarding the divergent thinking and right-brain connection. Second one is regrading the convergent thinking and left-brain connection. Empirical study showed that both of divergent and convergent thinking were asymmetrically related to creativity. Divergent thinking was connected to right-brain and convergent thinking was connected to left brain.

Since the discovery of quasars about a half century ago, it has been an open question what triggers supermassive black holes at the center of galaxies. I will talk about AGNs and their host galaxies in the context of galaxy assembly and evolution. In particular, I will focus on the fundamental, but unanswered question whether black holes play a key role in galaxy evolution from my personal perspective.

In [9], the authors determine an infinite class of non-unimodal Gorenstein sequence, which includes the example $$\bar{h}_1\text{ = (1, 125, 95, 77, 71, 77, 95, 125, 1)}$$. They raise a question whether there is a Gorenstein algebra with Hilbert function $$\bar{h}_2\text{= (1, 125, 95, 77, 70, 77, 95, 125, 1)}$$, which has remained an open question. In this paper, we prove that there is no Gorenstein algebra with Hilbert function $\bar{h}_2$.

In this paper, we introduce the notion of a clean ordered Krasner hyperring and investigate some properties of it. Now, let (R, +, ${\cdot}$, ${\leq}$) be a clean ordered Krasner hyperring. The following is a natural question to ask: Is there a strongly regular relation ${\sigma}$ on R for which $R/{\sigma}$ is a clean ordered ring? Our motivation to write the present paper is reply to the above question.

What is radical constructivism There were many questions arose related with radical constructivism in mathematics education. In this paper, the author put seven frequentlyasked questions on radical constructivism and described each question one by one in light with constructivists' point of views. This paper, based on Krifka (2001), is about the interpretation of quantifiers in questions. I have argued that quantification into question acts is possible for universal quantifiers, as these quantifiers are based on conjunction, an operation that is defined for speech acts. This explains the restriction to universal quantifiers, which are generalized conjunctions. I have developed a type system in which quantification into question acts can be described. I have argued that expressions that scope out of speech acts must be topic, which explains a number of additional observations. I have also discussed embedded questions, which, depending on the embedding verb, may allow for quantification into questions.
