This study began with the purpose of awakening an interest in Korean Nu-jung and seeking application plan based on Nu-jung of Aneuisamdong. Also it intends to suggest activation plan of Nu-jung while using the culture of taste for the arts and classical scholar of ancestors with the physical place named Nu-jung as the medium. As concrete ways to activate Nu-jung, we suggested plans which use the game of go(Baduk), main material of the culture of taste for the arts and classical scholar, and increase availability by planning a program adding picturesqueness of Nu-jung. By bringing the material named the game of go(Baduk) to the place named Nu-jung, we suggested the plan capable of experiencing the culture of taste for the arts and classical scholar and also expecting local promotion and economical effect. And the plan is to design and conduct night program, 1 night 2 days program, tailored program, and so on by combining the material of the culture of taste for the arts and classical scholar with the medium named 'Dal(the moon)' in the static place named Nu-jung. The plans above are applicable to most of Nu-jung scattered all over the country, which means that we have a lot of Nu-jung in Korea and, at the same time, we have abundant contents to be used as cultural properties. Now it's important how to develop and use these contents through the connection with various academic fields in terms of managing cultural properties. By understanding the value of the original form of culture while emerging from simply using cultural properties, we can use cultural properties in a higher level. For this, preserving cultural properties should be supported by continuous interdisciplinary study.

The purpose of flower decoration at the funeral altar is to create various flower decorations at altar according to the social status of the deceased, to console psychological shock and pains of mourners and the bereaved families, and to make them remember the life of the deceased beautifully. In this study, five top funeral service companies in Korea selected by the Fair Trade Commission in 2017 and five repr And this researcher identified problems in flower decorations at the funeral altar in Korea, by comparing and analyzing the styles of flower decorations at funeral altars in Korea and Japan. In addition, this researcher surveyed consumers' preferences by age group. According to the results of the survey, most of the entire age group responded positively to the flower decorations at the funeral altar which focused on the job of the deceased. This means that consumers are demanding changes to the flower decorations at the funeral altar which are made up of the products of funeral service companies. In addition, the results of the survey, it can be seen that most consumers prefer to decorate the altar flowers according to the occupation, hobby, and taste of the deceased and present the altar in three dimensions like a landscape of nature. esentative funeral service companies in Japan were surveyed on the status of flower decorations at the funeral altar.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of the vegetation structure and the location environment of Albizzia kalkora (AK) growing in Mt. Yudal located in Mokpo city and in the nearby islands. The AK community in Mt. Yudal in Mokpo city (Community I) is located in a region which is relatively high above the sea level. The average age of the major kinds of trees found in the region is about 30 years. The vegetation structure in the community shows an early stage of vegetation development due to continued disturbance. In Community IV, on the sandy soil in the flatland near the seashores, the average age of the major kinds of trees is about 9 years. In this community, a pure forest is presumed to have been formed in a poor environment which is artificially disturbed in relatively recent times even as AK with its strong adoptability was introduced into the region. In other communities (II, III), the vegetation state shows a competition between AK and deciduous oak trees, and the average age of the major kinds of trees is about 13 to 30 years. AK communities with a better developed vegetation structure are located on the higher steep slopes near the seashore. In the early stage of vegetation development, the forest floor received more effective light for photosynthesis, and thus more seedlings of AK emerged and grew. The probability of AK appearing in the damaged or sterile soil near the seashore was high because of its strong adaptability. However, as the vegetation structure developed further and the soil fertility increased, the domination of AK in the vegetation structure decreased as deciduous oak trees won the competition with AK.
A disaster can be defined in many ways based on perspectives, in addition, its types are able to classify differently by various standards. Considering the different perspectives, the disaster can be occurred by natural phenomenon that is like typhoon, earthquake, flood, and drought, and by the accident that is like collapse of facilities, traffic accidents, and environmental pollution, etc. Into the modern society, moreover, the disaster includes the damages by diffusion of epidemic and infectious disease in domestic animals. The disaster was defined by natural and man-made hazards in the past. As societies grew with changes of paradigm, social factors have been included in the concept of the disaster according to new types unexpected by new disease and scientific technology. Change the concept of social disasters, Ministry of Public Safety and Security (MPSS) has provided the regional safety index, which measures the safety level of a local government. However, this regional safety index has some limitation to use because this index provides the information for city unit which is a unit of administrative districts of urban. Since these administrative districts units are on a different level with urban and rural areas, the regional safety index provided by MPSS is not be able to direct apply to the rural areas. The purpose of this study is to determine the regional safety index targeting rural areas. To estimate the safety index, we was used for 3 indicators of the MPSS, a fire, a crime, and an infectious disease which are evaluable the regional safety index using an accessibility analysis. For determining the regional safety index using accessibility from community centers to public facilities, the safety index of fire, crime, and infectious disease used access time to fire station, police office, and medical facility, respectively. An integrated Cheongju, targeting areas in this study, is mixed region with urban and rural areas. The results of regional safety index about urban and rural areas, the safety index in rural area is relatively higher than in the urban. Neverthless the investment would be needed to improve the safety in the rural areas.
This study was carried out in order to closely examine the growth and the physiological response by shading levels of a container seedling of Daphniphyllum macropodum which is known as the species of having shade tolerance in a warm temperature evergreen broad-leaved tree. The shading treatment was regulated with the shading level of full sunlight, and 35%, 55%, 75% of full sunlight. As a result of surveying the height and the root collar diameter growth by the shading level, the height was the highest with 13.2 cm under 35% of shading. The root collar diameter was the highest with 4.99 mm under full sunlight. The organ-based (leaves, shoot and root) dry mass production and the whole dry mass production were higher with 1.38 g, 0.47 g, 0.87 g, 2.72 g, respectively, in order of 35% shading. As for chlorophyll a, b, and the total chlorophyll content, the highest chlorophyll content was shown under 75% of shading with the relatively highest shading level. The ratio of chlorophyll a to chlorophyll b (a/b) was the highest under 35% of shading. The photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance and water use efficiency were the highest with $12.3{\mu}molCO_2{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$, $0.27molH_2O{\cdot}m^{-2}{\cdot}s^{-1}$, $3.53{\mu}molCO_2{\cdot}mmol^{-1}H_2O$, respectively, under 35% of shading. As a result of surveying the whole experiment, D. macropodum grows nicely by maintaining 35% shading.
The purpose of this study was to identify characteristics of vegetation structure, vegetation succession, and species diversity of artificially planted Chamaecyparis obtusa (CO) stands. The study was carried out by performing vegetation survey for eight CO stands located in Jeollanam-do Province, Korea. Analysis on vegetation classification and ordinations of the stands was conducted using the data from the vegetation survey, and as a result, the stands were classified into five types of communities. Community I showed a considerably lower index of species diversity when compared to other communities because the canopy of the dominant CO was so highly dense that the low-height vegetation was not able to develop or the low-height vegetation almost disappeared due to elimination of weed trees. Meanwhile, the Community II - IV had relatively higher indices of species diversity because various native tree species mixed with the low-height vegetation and competed with each other in the understory and shrub layers to some degree of stability or in their early stage of vegetation development. Community V, lastly, showed higher use intensity as a recreational forest, thus developing simpler vegetation structure on account of artificial intervention. There was positive correlation between photosynthetically active radiation entering the forest floor, number of observed species and index of species diversity. Such characteristics of vegetation structure in CO stands are closely associated with forest management and prescription for planting reforestation, thinning, and brush cutting in the past. There was a slight difference in vegetation structure and species diversity by communities, based on rotation time of the vegetational succession, process of disturbance frequency and disturbance, development, and maturity by planting CO stands. However, when compared to natural forests, the CO stands showed simpler vegetation structure. Because artificial forests are vulnerable in ecosystem service with lower species diversity, a drive for ecological management is needed for such forests to change into healthy ecosystems that can display functions of public benefit.

The present study grasped the operation characteristics and operation management of forest museums in Korea and analyzed satisfaction with the foregoing. In the results of a survey of forest museums' operation characteristics, with regard to groups to which exhibits were helpful, over half of respondents answered that the exhibits were helpful to students and many respondents had an opinion that all age groups should be equally considered as targets of exhibition. Among matters that were considered with regards to forest museums, accessibility showed the highest rate of answers followed by museum programs. The curator was needed for the majority of respondents were exhibits prior to the survey had the highest expectations for the medium. With regard to the operation management of forest museums, the expected value of periodic and extraordinary exhibitions was shown to be high and high and satisfaction was shown by the professionalism of staff. As for matters of forest museums that must be improved, attention should be paid to the development of programs in which users can participate, diverse exhibition media should be developed, and exhibition should be planned to fit the composition of exhibits. As for operation management, since exhibits were repeated every year, environments should be changed by exhibiting new exhibits or otherwise and active methods of improvement should be devised such as the utilization of broadcasting media for public relations.
The purpose of study was to broaden our knowledge on the productivity and cost of thinning operations which has become increasingly practiced in Korea. The thinning operations were conducted in a 40-year old larch (Larix leptolepis) stand, including chainsaw felling and processing at the stump, followed by yarding tree-length logs using a Koller K301-4 tower yarder. The logs were further processed and sorted into 1.8 m and 3.6 m log piles at the landing. We used a standard time study method to evaluate key variables that affect the productivity of thinning operations. The total stump-to-pile operational cost was $41,707won/m^3$. The highest cost activity was the yarding phase which cost $20,083won/m^3$ (48.2% of the total cost), followed by the costs of processing treelength materials into marketable log lengths ($12,143won/m^3$; 29.1%), and then by the costs of sorting/piling the processed logs ($5,039won/m^3$; 12.1%). It was interesting to see that felling and processing trees at the stump had low costs at $1,315won/m^3$ (3.2%) and $3,127won/m^3$ (7.5%), respectively. We used the detailed time study data to develop regression equations which were to predict yarding productivity. Our analysis showed that harvesting system cost was highly sensitive to the number of logs, yarding distance and lateral distance per turn, respectively.
Public transportation is public service that is contributed to the convenience of the public. However, opportunity for public services in rural areas is weaker than the chance in urban areas. The purpose of this study is to evaluate accessibility of various public facilities using public transportation. To evaluate the accessibility, we calculate the various time from community center to the nearest bus stop, walking time, riding time in bus, and waiting time for transfer. The results of this study ares as follows; (1) Villages occupy 19.8% in rural areas that walking time from community center to the nearest bus stop takes over 10 minutes in integrated Chungju-si; (2) The average speed is 21.9 km/hr estimated to departure and arrival time of bus route; (3) The accessibility time from community center using the average bus speed takes 15.43 minutes to public facilities, 35.15 minutes to emergency center, 8.70 minutes to medical center, 9.70 minutes to elementary school, 16.26 minutes to middle school, and 22.61 minutes high school; (4) The transfer time of public transportation takes 13.46, 21.96, 10.48, 7.78, 11.11, 16.10 minutes to public facilities, emergency center, medical center, elementary school, middle school, and high school, respectively; (4) Traffic accessibility using bus vehicles in the East and South Chungju-si is lower than areas in the West and North Chungju-si. Some villages surrounding public offices (eup-myeon office) which have a high density of population, indicate a high traffic accessibility.
The environmental impact assessment(EIA) project in Korea has undergone changes and revisions in various evaluation items for about 30 years after the introduction of the Environmental Conservation Act (1997). However, despite the importance of land use evaluation items under the current EIA Act, there are insufficient studies to consider. Therefore, this study focused on the land-use evaluation items based on the EIA guidelines, reviewed 90 of the evaluation documents and consultation documents, and tried to suggest implications and supplementary points forthe domestic EIA land-use evaluation items. As a result, the paradigm was changing from land efficiency centered on development in the past to land efficiency centered on the natural environment and resource conservation. However, in spite of the manual for fitting the paradigm change, opinions on the conservation of the natural environment are still being drawn in the consultation document, so it needs improvement. Two improvements in the impact assessment process suggested in this study are the establishment of standardized spatial data and a quantitative impact and reduction method evaluation tool based on it. In particular, there is a need for a plan evaluation tool for land use arrangement and distribution that can solve the needs of minimizing damage to the natural environment and securing green space and a green network.
