The road traffic noise becomes aggravated due to the rapid increase of vehicles. It has a great effect on the dwelling environment. Therefore we investigate the characteristics and sources of the road traffic noise through grasping the status of the road traffic noise. This paper is concerned with the description of the various factors affecting the generation and propagation of outdoor traffic noise. It is particularly concerned with the mathematical interpretation of these processes and the resulting development of prediction techniques which are now broadly used for both the environment impact assessment of road traffic noise and the planning and design of roads and adjoining land use.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the risk factors for falls among the elderly living in community. Method: This was a descriptive study. The subjects comprised 80 elderly aged 65 years or over living in D city. The instruments used for this study was the MDS-HC V2.0. The data was analyzed by SPSS Win 14.0 using t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation. Result: Among the socio-demographic characteristics, the significant differences were found in ADL by gender and marital status. Older elderly(${\geq}85$) used more medications than other elderly. The elderly were use average 4.33 medications, but 46.3% of the subjects didn't have the physician reviewed all medications. There was statistically significant correlation between number of medications and accidental falls. Conclusion: Nurses should inspect about the number of medications, drug interaction, and side effects. It would be preventive intervention for falls in elderly.

With rapidly industrial development, a railway has become of a main traffic means. But, the railway noise has caused much annoyance for the residents living nearby railway tracks. Therefore, in our country, for established of Quite dwelling environment, execute regulation standard of railway noise from January 1, 2000. Efficiency soundproofing measures, however, are very difficult because of the lack of basic data and insufficiency of the existing research. In this point, this study attempts to survey the characteristics of attenuation and propagation of railway noise in by existence of noise barrier. And this study intends to get the basic data for establishment of a standard about railway noise.

Considering the present development situation of domestic apartment complexes, the environment and its landscape is monotonous and dull, so the diversity is very important socially and visually. The ground floor dwellings can influence the richness and diversity of ground landscape in the apartment housing. Because they are set on the ground and directly contact with people's sight line. In this context, this study aims to identify the elements of design diversity in the ground floor dwellings, to analysis the architectural characteristics of them and to propose the improvement of diversity.

The nature accompanies with natural and ecological truth, worsening living environment without think using of our nature. Now, the sustainable researches to study peculiarities in ecological dwellings considered with nature and the development of human life's quality in housing itself, have been progressing. Also it is needed to show understanding about ecological dwellings in the user participant's consciousness such as, unification thought with nature, circulation thought of substance, and environment friendly thought of the traditional housing. Chose five examples which is applying ecological architectural concept by each Chungbuk, Chungnam, Jeonbuk, Gyeongbuk, Gyeonggi district and I investigated change of exterior or interior material, application of ecological system, and etc. With these background, this study will survey cases of ecological dwellings and find peculiar characteristics of ecological dwellings through researching the correlation between the concept in user's consciousness and application method.

The purpose of this research is to prepare fundamental data which will help the proposal for future a small size housing's plan and direction by looking into customers needs of community space and service for personal household because the personal household demand of the housing market is expected to be the most importance. To accomplish this, 150 people of age range from 20 to 30 who lives alone in Seoul has been surveyed from November 15th to 25th 20008. Also the socio-demographic characteristic, satisfaction of housing life, living characteristic and etc. of young people have been examined.

The objective of this study is to determine the ignition feasibility of a single shot, air-assisted gasoline fuel injector operated in a constant volume combustion chamber under atmospheric condition. A number of parameters has been selected for this experiments, such as dwelling time, spark gap position(r,z), spark electrode geometry, supplied air and fuel masses and spray cone deflector angle. On-site visual inspection of the instantaneous flame glow was chosen as one way to judge the successful ignition. In addition, chamber pressure and occasional photography were mobilized as for data recording. It was clearly observed that there was an entrainment air-fuel mixture toward spray axis from the spray formation and its development later on. The optimum ignition conditions were found for those parameters given above.

Multi-use housing and commercial buildings have been emerged according to social and economic changes of CBD in Seoul Metropolitan Areas. The purpose of this study is to clarify the characteristics of the multi-use building, to analyze the problems on the base of survey and to suggest the solutions for architectural planning, focusing on eco-friendly dwelling environment. A field survey with 46 subjects has been carried out with structured questionnaire. Some problems in planning of the complex building have been discussed in terms of environmental issues and design criteria. In conclusion, basic planning directions for improving the building environmental quality have been suggested.

The intense noise generated by military aircraft hans a significant impact on ground crews and their families on airbase. For minimizing the impact of the aircraft noise on the airport, appropriate indoor noise standard is required. This paper studied to establish the indoor noise standard on the military airport. The aircraft noise was measured and analyzed the frequence characteristics. the remodeling of office for the noise mitigation was enforced to verify the appropriate internal noise standard and to select the method of reinforcement. The noise standard was classified three categories according to the dwelling, office and usage of building with flight train facilities and banishment in military airfield.
