We investigate the uniqueness and multiplicity of solutions for the nonlinear elliptic system with Dirichlet boundary condition $$\{-{\Delta}u+g_1(u,v)=f_1(x){\text{ in }}{\Omega},\\-{\Delta}v+g_2(u,v)=f_2(x){\text{ in }}{\Omega},$$ where ${\Omega}$ is a bounded set in $R^n$ with smooth boundary ${\partial}{\Omega}$. Here $g_1$, $g_2$ are nonlinear functions of u, v and $f_1$, $f_2$ are source terms.

This paper represents a survey of a variety thresholding techniques including both global and local thresholding. Several thresholding methods are examined in detail to evaluate their performance based on a given set of test images. We also attempt to evaluate the performance of several thresholding methods for construction field documents image recognition system using a broken line structures, broken symbols and text, blurring of lines, symbols and text, noise in homogeneous areas measure as a criterion functions.

With a rapid extension of functions in mobile phones, text input method has become very important for mobile phone users. Previous studies for text input methods were focused on Fitts' law, emphasizing expert's behaviors with one-handed text input method. However, it was observed that 97% of Korean mobile phone users input texts with two-hands. Therefore, this study was designed to develop a prediction model of two-handed Hangul text entry method including novice users as well as experts for mobile phone. For this study, Fitts' law was hypothesized to predict experts' movement time(MT) whereas Hick-Hyman law for visual search time was hypothesized to be added to MT for novices. The results showed that the prediction model was well fitted with the empirical data for both experts and novices with less than 3% error rates. In conclusion, this prediction model of two-handed Hangul text entry including novice users was proven to be a very effective model for modeling two-handed Hangul text input behavior for both experts.

최근에 스마트폰과 같은 소형 이동 단말기의 보급이 확산됨에 따라 이동 단말을 통한 인터넷 웹 접속이 크게 증가하고 있다. 하지만 이동 단말의 작은 화면은 한 번에 웹페이지의 전체 내용을 브라우징 하기에는 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서 이러한 이동단말의 문제점을 해결하기 위한 웹 기반 텍스트 요약 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 제안된 텍스트 요약 시스템의 특징은 문서의 구문적 특징을 크게 변화시키지 않고 다량의 텍스트가 단락 안에 존재하는 경우에 문서를 요약하여 텍스트 용량을 줄임으로써 웹 브라우징에 있어 데이터 전송량을 줄이고 빠른 접근과 불필요한 데이터의 출력을 최소화할 수 있다. 제안된 시스템의 특징을 구현을 통하여 확인하였다.

웹 사이트를 효과적으로 개발하기 위해 Ajax, jQuery등과 같은 다양한 기술이 개발되고 있다. 관리자 인터페이스를 강력하게 함으로써, 관리자 메뉴에서 다양한 기능을 손쉽게 제작할 수 있지만, 이러한 경우 텍스트 형태를 벗어나지 못하거나, 코드를 그 때 그 때 수정하고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해, 본 논문에서는 CSS를 데이터베이스와 연동하여 제공하고, 이러한 CSS 기능과 다양한 오픈 폰트를 이용해 텍스트를 이미지로 변환함으로써, 기존의 웹 사이트 제작 방법과의 차별화된 기능을 제공하는 방법에 대해 기술한다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate teachers’ recognition in Food/Nutrition, Textile/Clothing part in Home Economics Text Book of Middle School and to provide the basic data for the improvement of its curriculum. 147 Home Economics teachers in Taegu city and Kyungsangbukdo area responded to the questionnaire. The results are summarized as follows: 1. Most of Home Economics teachers have graduated Dept. of Home Economics Education and have ever taken teacher training. And even those who ever taken teacher training are not satisfied with training curriculum contents. Therefore, the result of this study shows that teacher training curriculum contents should be improved so as to be helpful for the actual teaching and learning. 2. In terms of the suitability of contents of food & nutrition and contents of textiles & clothing to the student’s learning development levels, the degree of suitability is in the order of nutrition & health, nutrition in adolescence, food selection, kinds and functions of nutrients in food & nutrition curriculum, and in the order of suitable clothing, mixture rate of fabrics, purchase of clothing, clothing in adolescence, clothing selection. The contents of making processed foods and usage of sewing machine of the existing text book have turned out not to be appropriate. 3. Most teachers suggest that dietary guideline for health, misconception about food & nutrition selection of ready-made suit suitable clothing for situation & character as well as the contents of the existing text book should be included in the new text book.

This thesis describes the development of a service system for small-sized shops which support not only music broadcasting, but editing and generating voice announcement using the TTS(Text-To-Speech) technology. The system has been developed based on web environments with an easy access whenever and wherever it is needed. The system is able to control the sound using silverlight media player based on the ASP .NET 2.0 technology without any additional application software. Use of the Ajax control allows for multiple users to get the maximum load when needed. TTS is built in the server side so that the service can be provided without user's computer. Due to convenience and usefulness of the system, the business sector can provide better service to many shops. Further additional functions such as statistical analysis will undoubtedly help shop management provide desirable services.

In this paper, we propose a pen gesture recognition system for user interface in multimedia terminal which requires fast processing time and high recognition rate. It is realtime and interaction system between graphic and text module. Text editing in recognition system is performed by pen gesture in graphic module or direct editing in text module, and has all 14 editing functions. The pen gesture recognition is performed by searching classification features that extracted from input strokes at pen gesture model. The pen gesture model has been constructed by classification features, ie, cross number, direction change, direction code number, position relation, distance ratio information about defined 15 types. The proposed recognition system has obtained 98% correct recognition rate and 30msec average processing time in a recognition experiment.

Practice of proof is considered in, the view of language and meta-mathematics, recognizing the role of proof that is the means of communication and development of mathematical understanding. Linguistic components in proof texts are symbol, verbal language and visual text, and contain the implicit knowledge in the meta-mathematics view. This study investigates the functions of linguistic elements according to Halliday's functional grammar and the rhetoric skills in proof texts in math textbook, teacher's note, and student's written text. We need to inquire into the aspects of language for mathematics learning process and the understanding and use of students' language.

Rising publication costs and declining financial resources have resulted in renewed interest among librarians in resource sharing. Although the idea of sharing resources is not new, there is a sense of urgency not seen in the past. Driven by rising publication costs and static and often shrinking budgets, librarians are embracing resource sharing as an idea whose time may finally have come. Resource sharing in electronic environments is creating a shift in the concept of the library as a warehouse of print-based collection to the idea of the library as the point of access to need information. Much of the library's material will be delivered in electronic form, or printed. In this new paradigm libraries can not be expected to su n.0, pport research from their own collections. These changes, along with improved communications, computerization of administrative functions, fax and digital delivery of articles, advancement of data storage technologies, are improving the procedures and means for delivering needed information to library users. In short, for resource sharing to be truly effective and efficient, however, automation and data communication are essential. The possibility of using full-text online databases as a su n.0, pplement to interlibrary loan for document delivery is examined. At this point, this article presents possibility of using full-text online databases as a means to interlibrary loan for document delivery. The findings of the study can be summarized as follows : First, turn-around time and the cost of getting a hard copy of a journal article from online full-text databases was comparable to the other document delivery services. Second, the use of full-text online databases should be considered as a method for promoting interlibrary loan services, as it is more cost-effective and labour saving. Third, for full-text databases to work as a document delivery system the databases must contain as many periodicals as possible and be loaded on as many systems as possible. Forth, to contain many scholarly research journals on full-text databases, we need guidelines to cover electronic document delivery, electronic reserves. Fifth, to be a full full-text database, more advanced information technologies are really needed.
