  • In this paper, development of power interrupt tester which is highly suitable for microprocessor-based circuits test device is proposed. ATMEL 89C2051 microcontroller is performed to make power interrupt signal, and built-in software controls peripheral hardwares and many functions.   • Since the underwater telephone was sold in a short time, there are few repair equipments. And equipment is difficult to locate fault. Equipment with transducers must be inspected underwater, and a relative naval vessels is required to perform an operational check. So we developed a tester device to test the transmission card through the spectrum and transmission power, and to develop a device that can conduct operational tests on land. Therefore, the development of the tester reduces the incidence of naval vessels and contributes to the development of domestic underwater communication test equipment.

  • The lower toughness or brittle materials for mechanical test lead to the additional requirement that applied displacements be controlled with high resolution. Biaxial tension and shear tester using stepper motor with harmonic driver is shown. The device had to be high resolution so that the crack initiation process of slow extension and steady growth could be examined, Grip plates were connected to a linear bearing and actuator. The actuators consisted of stepper motors with harmonic driver connected to pre-loaded ball screw and nut assemblies. The encoders and motor controllers were connected to a personal computer so that arbitrary displacements histories could he prescribed in normal and tangential directions. The linear bearings were used to react loads perpendicular to their axes while allowing low friction, parallel movement of the attached grips. Load cells measured the reactions normal and tangential. the loads measured the reactions were recorded by the computer.

  • 새로운 재료가 개발되어 점점 반도체 디바이스의 적용으로 인해 반도체 장치 구조의 미세화를 촉진하고 있고 반도체 디바이스의 제조공정에서는 초기불량이나 일정시간 가동 후의 고장이 끊이지 않고 발생하고 있어 그 결함에 대한 해석은 날이 갈수록 중요해지고 있다. 여기서는 반도체 디바이스의 전기적 고장 검출과 디바이스 결함부의 물리해석에 대해 서술한다. 물리해석에는 주사전자현미경이나 투과전자현미경, 집속이온빔가공장치와 같은 전자나 이온을 이용한 장치가 사용되는데 여기서는 그 사용기술과 특성에 대해 서술하고자 한다.

  • A new material tester has been developed to measure mechanical properties of thin film specimens at high temperature. It is useful for observing oxide film growth or local deformation on the surface, and for measuring creep strength. Main characteristics of the tester is as follows; First, high temperature is achieved by Joule heating generated by electricity passing through the specimen, which does not need to enclose the specimen by a furnace or a heating chamber. The exposed specimen enables one to observe the surface during the test. Because the overall size of the test rig is compact, the whole test rig can be placed in a chamber for environmental controlled tests. The loading device is from a level scales. Not only static load with fixed counter weight, but also variable load by moving counter weight controlled remotely can be applied for an ordinary creep test and creep-fatigue test, respectively. The detail of the construction, operation principle, and the specification are described. And also, an example of test result obtained using the creep tester is presented.

  • When the size of the device is decreased, the hot carrier degradation presents a severe problem for long-term device reliability. In this paper we fabricated & tested the 0.26${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ NMOSFET with wet gate oxide and nitride oxide gate to compare that the characteristics of hot carrier effect, charge to breakdown, transistor Id_Vg curve and charge trapping using the Hp4145 device tester As a result we find that the characteristics of nitride oxide gate device better than wet gate oxide device, especially a hot carrier lifetime(nitride oxide gate device satisfied 30years, but the lifetime of wet gate oxide was only 0.1year), variation of Vg, charge to breakdown and charge trapping etc.

고성능 모바일 TFT LCD/OLED 모듈을 위한 헨드헬드 검사장비 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Hand-Held Inspection Device for High Performance Mobile TFT LCD/OLED Module)

  • 본 논문에서는 고성능 모바일 TFT LCD/OLED 모듈(이하, 모듈)을 위한 헨드헬드 검사장비를 제안한다. 기존 모듈 검사장비는 명멸현상을 구분하기 위해선 동영상 데이터를 모듈에 출력시켜 구분할 수 있으나, 저속 시스템으로는 불가능하다. 또한 기존 검사장치는 저속의 CPU와 FPGA 시스템에서 필요한 몇 가지의 기능을 IP로 설계하고 사용하기 때문에 시스템의 한계를 지니고 있다. 이에 제안한 시스템은 고성능 모바일 모듈을 위한 검사장비로 다양한 크기의 모듈을 H/W나 FPGA의 설계 변경 없이 검사 장비를 휴대하여 여러 가지 부가기능들을 동시에 확인할 수 있다. 시스템은 크게 헨드헬드 검사장비와 내장된 테스터 소프트웨어, 정밀 분석을 위한 PC기반의 소프트웨어로 구성되며, USB 인터페이스 하여 헨드헬드 검사장비의 모든 모듈 테스트 내용을 확인, 저장, 출력 할 수 있도록 설계되어 있다. 제안된 시스템의 유효성 검증은 현장에서 사용하는 9가지의 대표 항목으로 설정하여, 고성능 모바일 TFT LCD/OLED에서 중요한 명멸현상에 대한 풀 프레임 동영상 구동시 별도의 모듈 없이 확인이 가능하였고, 기타 스캔타임 설정, 감마설정, 레지스터 변경, 인터페이스 지원, 다 인치 모듈지원 등이 가능하였다.

야구장 안전펜스 성능평가를 위한 충돌시험기 개발 (Development of Collision Tester for Performance Evaluation of Safety Fence in Baseball Stadiums)

  • This paper presents a performance testing device for safety fences of domestic professional baseball stadiums. Safety fences of professional stadiums have been fabricated and installed without adhering to any safety regulations, safety fences demonstrate critically low safety performances and many outfielders are severely injured every season. In this study, we designed and fabricated a performance testing device for safety fences and investigated its validity and reproducibility. A HIC (head injury criterion) was used for the statistical analysis of colliding data. We found that the optimal expulsion pressure and eliminated the accelerometer by replacing it with a velocity sensor using an estimation of the correlation between the momentum data obtained from velocity sensor and the impulse data from the accelerometer.

다이나모 기반의 차량 제동력 검사장비 개발 연구 (Research on Development of Dynamo based Vehicle Brake force Inspection Equipment)

  • Dynamo based vehicle inspection device is end of line device for automobile industry. The device is utilized as implementing vehicle functionality inspection such as brake force, cruise control, kick-down acceleration, CAN inspection. As dynamo based inspection device is broadly adopted in automobile industry, the dynamic study is required to verify the vehicle test equipment reliability. This research recommends appropriate dynamic brake force inspection procedure and theoretical background for developed equipment. Dynamic characteristic of brake force implementation to roller is simplified. With simplified characteristics, the indirect brake force measurement strategy is developed and adopted. Comparison of each brake force result, the appropriate brake force inspection criterion is given.

Estimation of Penetration Depth Using Acceleration Signal Analysis for Underwater Free Fall Cone Penetration Tester

  • A track-type underwater construction robot (URI-R) was developed by the Korea Institute of Ocean Science & Technology. Because URI-R uses tracks to move on the seabed, insufficient ground strength may hinder its movement. For smooth operation of URI-R on the seabed, it is important to determine the geotechnical properties of the seabed. To determine these properties, standard penetration test (SPT), cone penetration test (CPT), and sampling are used on land. However, these tests cannot be applied on the seabed due to a high cost owing to the vessel, crane, sampler, and analysis time. To overcome these problems, a free fall cone penetration tester (FFCPT) is being developed. The FFCPT is a device that acquires the geotechnical properties during impact/penetration/finish phases by free fall in water. Depth information is crucial during soil data acquisition. As the FFCPT cannot measure the penetration depth directly, it is estimated indirectly using acceleration. The estimated penetration depth was verified by results of real tests conducted on land.
