  • It is well known that one could use a fixed loxodromic or parabolic element of a non-elementary group $G{\subset}M(\bar{\mathbb{R}}^n)$ as a test map to test the discreteness of G. In this paper, we show that a test map need not be in G. We also construct an example to show that the similar result using an elliptic element as a test map does not hold.

  • One of the most important is to insure that a new circuit design is qualified far release before it is scheduled for manufacturing, test, assembly and delivery. Due to various causes, there happens to be a low yield in the wafer process. Wafer test is a critical process in analyzing the chip characteristics in the EDS(electric die sorting) using analytic tools -wafer map, wafer summary and datalog. In this paper, we propose new analytic map algorithms for DDI chip test data. Using the proposed analytic map algorithms, we expect to improve the yield, quality and analysis time.

  • Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis (MAP) is the causative agent of Johne's disease, a chronic debilitating disease affecting ruminants worldwide. In the present study, we aimed to determine the major gene networks and pathways underlying the immune response to MAP infection using whole-blood cells, as well as provide the potential transcriptional markers for identifying the status of MAP infection. We analyzed the transcriptional profiles of whole-blood cells of cattle identified and grouped according to the presence of MAP-specific antibodies and the MAP shed by them. The grouping was based on the results obtained by ELISA and PCR analyses as follows: i) Test1 group: MAP-negative results obtained by ELISA and positive results obtained by PCR; ii) Test2 group: MAP-positive results obtained by ELISA and negative results obtained by PCR; iii) Test3 group: MAP-positive results obtained by ELISA and positive results obtained by PCR; iv) uninfected control: MAP-negative results obtained both by ELISA and PCR analysis. The results showed down-regulated production and metabolism of reactive oxygen species in the Test1 group, activation of pathways related to the host-defense response against MAP (LXR/RXR activation and complement system) in the Test2 and Test3 groups, and anti-inflammatory response (activation of IL-10 signaling pathway) only in the Test3 group. Our data indicate a balanced response that serves the immune-limiting mechanism while the host-defense responses are progressing.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this research was to develop and evaluate the effect of a mind map for relief of emotional labor and burnout among nurses in outpatient departments in cancer hospitals. Methods: We developed a mind map to reduce emotional labor and burnout. A quasi-experimental study was used with a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected from December 2012 to April 2013. Participants were 35 nurses working in the outpatient department of a cancer hospital. The experimental group participated in the mind map program biweekly for 10 weeks. Data were analyzed using $x^2$-test, Mann-Whitney U test, paired t-test, and Wilcoxon sign rank test with the SPSS 21.0 program. Results: The physical burnout and total burnout scores decreased significantly in the intervention group which took the mind map program. Conclusion: Findings indicate that the mind map is an effective intervention to reduce burnout in outpatient department nurses.

  • Recently, Web map service is actively accomplished in both private companies and public offices. As a platform, it exists variously from desktop to smartphone. The technology being used has a trend to develop continuously. Also, Web map system provides various open API for people who use geospatial service and data mashup. In this paper, RIA technology which is popularly used recently in web map service w ill be applied to introduce the functions different language map services are mostly using. Based on users' feeling about different web browser's speed, test and analysis have been accomplished. The result is that there are different characteristics according to different functions such as JavaScript, Silverlight, Flex. Actual test has been personally carried out on map service in Seoul GIS portal system. The comprehensive conclusion is that Silverlight has more outstanding function compared with other RIA techniques under the test environment.

  • This paper describes implemation of 'General-purpose ETRI MAP interface module' (GEM) for Mini-MAP network. GEM operates as a Mini-MAP node in our FA system. To communicate between GEM and programmable devices(PD) such as PLC and CNC, serial communication is used. Application programs of a MiNi-MAP host system control and monitor programmable devices via GEM. GEM is implemented and tested on the basis of the MAP 3.0. TBC in the Nini-MAP board performs the function of the MAC sublayer. The LLC sublayer is implemented according to the specification of Class 3 that includes Type 1 and 3. And the MMS services are designed within the scope of implementation class MAP3. All the softwares are implemented under the real-time multitask OS for real-time application of the Mini-MAP and they are loaded into PROMs at the network board of GEM. We tested the LLC functions to make use of a protocol analyzer for the token-passing protocol. Also the MMS conformance test was carried out by exchanging primitives between GEM and a MMS product that had already passed the conformance test. Therefore GEM is proposed as a network tool of Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) to integrate PDs which don't support MAP functions.

  • In the semiconductor manufacturing post-FAB process, predicting a package test result accurately in the wafer testing phase is a key element to ensure the competitiveness of companies. The prediction of package test can reduce unnecessary inspection time and expense. However, an analysing method is not sufficient to analyze data collected at wafer testing phase. Therefore, many companies have been using a summary information such as a mean, weighted sum and variance, and the summarized data reduces a prediction accuracy. In the paper, we propose an analysis method for Wafer Map Image collected at wafer testing process and conduct an experiment using real data.

  • Objective : This study aimed to perform a translation, backward translation, item modification, and test of content validity for Korean version of Miller Assessment for Preschoolers (MAP). Methods : Professors in department of occupational therapy, translators, or occupational therapists participated in the processes of translation, comparison and synthesis I, backward translation, comparison and synthesis II, test of understanding, and modify of items. Content Validity Indices (CVI) was calculated for data analysis by using Microsoft Office Excel. Results : Results of comparison between the original MAP and Korean MAP in professor panels were mean $3.66{\pm}0.40$, item-level CVI (I-CVI) 0.94, and overal scale CVI (S-CVI) 0.83. In agreement, result of comparison between of the original MAP and backward translated MAP (version English) was mean 3.14. The erroneous content was omission 13 times, the addition 3 times, the substitution 6 times, erroneous terms 11 times, and reordering 6 times. Average of understanding test in the therapist panels was $3.66{\pm}0.27$. The agreements were I-CVI 0.93 and S-CVI 0.58. Conclusion : Using assessment tools that developed in another country is important to do test of content validity and systematic translation process in Korea. For developing Korean version of MAP, validity and reliability studies need to be followed in near future.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of mind map activity on scientific attitude and science achievement in elementary school science. The subjects of this study were fifth-grade students selected from two classes in elementary school located in Seoul. The subjects were classified into two groups: One group is composed of thirty-eight students(experimental group) who were participated in mind map activity, and the other is composed of thirty-five students(control group) who were participated in traditional teaching situation. Pretest showed that there were no significant differences between experimental and control group in scientific attitude and science achievement. The results were as follows: First, the experimental group showed a significant improvement in the post-test science achievement compared to the control group. Second, the experimental group showed insignificant improvement in the post-test scientific attitude compared to the control group. Third, female students and mid-ranking group showed a significant improvement in the post-test science achievement. Fourth, in sex and academic ranking, experimental group did not show significant difference in the post-test scientific attitude. In conclusion, mind map activity was more effective than traditional teaching situation on science achievement. But mind map activity was less uneffective than traditional teaching situation on scientific attitude.
