  • IP address lookup is one of the most important and complex functions in the router. In this paper, we propose an improved technique of LC-trie to increase the performance of IP address lookup in the high performance router. We effectively apply the prefix pruning method, which is used for the compression of the forwarding table in TCAM((Ternary Content Addressable Memory), to the LC-trie. This technique can decrease the number of memory accesses and upgrade the lookup speed. Moreover, through the real forwarding table and the real traffic distribution, we evaluate the performance of our scheme in terms of the lookup time and the number of memory access, comparing with that of the previous LC-trie.

  • A new ternary full adder using the current controlled negative-resistance circuit is described. The full adder is constructed from the modified-half-adder which was devised by making use of a negative resistance circuit. This full adder makes the number of its gates decrease and makes its own speed increase in comparison with the full adders which had been introduced previously. It is convenient to construct to the integrated circuit because transistor, SBD(Schottky Barrier Diode) and resistors were used as the circuit elements.

  • The concrete mix design and compressive strength evaluation are used as basic data for the durability of sustainable structures. However, the recent diversification of mixing factors has created difficulties in calculating the correct mixing factor or setting the reference value concrete mixing design. The purpose of this study is to design a predictive model of bidirectional analysis that calculates the mixing elements of ternary concrete using deep learning, one of the artificial intelligence techniques. For the DNN-based predictive model for calculating the concrete mixing factor, performance evaluation and comparison were performed using a total of 8 models with the number of layers and the number of hidden neurons as variables. The combination calculation result was output. As a result of the model's performance evaluation, an average error rate of about 1.423% for the concrete compressive strength factor was achieved. and an average MAPE error of 8.22% for the prediction of the ternary concrete mixing factor was satisfied. Through comparing the performance evaluation for each structure of the DNN model, the DNN5L-2048 model showed the highest performance for all compounding factors. Using the learned DNN model, the prediction of the ternary concrete formulation table with the required compressive strength of 30 and 50 MPa was carried out. The verification process through the expansion of the data set for learning and a comparison between the actual concrete mix table and the DNN model output concrete mix table is necessary.

  • We have classified a number of aqueous ternary systems containing two different polymers into three types by focusing on the deviation of the Huggins constant k'from the additivity line. Systems of type I have negative deviations of k'; the repulsive interaction between the two different polymers dominates. In systems of type II, k' almost follows the additivity relation; the repulsive and attractive interactions between the two different polymers are balancing. Type III systems have positive deviations of k'; the attractive interactions are relatively dominant. This classification of systems is supported by the fact that the positive and negative deviations of k' from the additivity line also correspond to the sign of interaction parameter between polymer 2 and 3, Δb$\_$23/. Furthermore, we have verified the relatively high compatibility between dextran and poly(vinyl alcohol) by determining the binodal concentration of a liquid-liquid phase separation for a water/dextran/poly(vinyl alcohol) system, which is classified as type III. Thus, we found that the compositional dependence of k' closely relates to the compatibility of binary polymer mixtures in aqueous ternary systems.

  • Normal phase or reversed phase liquid chromatographic separation of some structural isomers of functionalized heterocyclic compounds has been carried out by using several different columns and various mobile phases. The optimal experimental conditions for separation of structural isomers were found on a ternary solvent system including alcohol as a modifier. This polar modifier is preferentially adsorbed onto strong adsorption site, leaving a more uniform population of weaker site that then serve to retain the sample. This 'deactivation' of the adsorbent leads to a number of improvements in subsequent separations. The optimal mobile phase system of separation were found on normal phase on structural isomers. Retention mechanism of normal phase system was also studied depending on adsorption strength between solute and stationary phase of column. However, retention factors of reversed phase system were found on hydrophobic interaction with solvophobic effect.

  • The inspection of cracks on the surface of tunnel linings is a common method of evaluate the condition of the tunnel. In particular, determining the thickness and shape of a crack is important because it indicates the external forces applied to the tunnel and the current condition of the concrete structure. Recently, several automatic crack detection methods have been proposed to identify cracks using captured tunnel lining images. These methods apply an image-segmentation mechanism with well-annotated datasets. However, generating the ground truths requires many resources, and the small proportion of cracks in the images cause a class-imbalance problem. A weakly annotated dataset is generated to reduce resource consumption and avoid the class-imbalance problem. However, the use of the dataset results in a large number of false positives and requires post-processing for accurate crack detection. To overcome these issues, we propose a crack detection method using a ternary classifier. The proposed method significantly reduces the false positive rate, and the performance (as measured by the F1 score) is improved by 0.33 compared to previous methods. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • For an integer $m{\geq}3$, every integer of the form $p_m(x)$ = $\frac{(m-2)x^2(m-4)x}{2}$ with x ${\in}$ $\mathbb{Z}$ is said to be a generalized m-gonal number. Let $a{\leq}b{\leq}c$ and k be positive integers. The quadruple (k, a, b, c) is said to be universal if for every nonnegative integer n there exist integers x, y, z such that n = $ap_k(x)+bp_k(y)+cp_k(z)$. Sun proved in [16] that, when k = 5 or $k{\geq}7$, there are only 20 candidates for universal quadruples, which h listed explicitly and which all involve only the case of pentagonal numbers (k = 5). He veri ed that six of the candidates are in fact universal and conjectured that the remaining ones are as well. In a subsequent paper [3], Ge and Sun established universality for all but seven of the remaining candidates, leaving only (5, 1, 1, t) for t = 6, 8, 9, 10, (5, 1, 2, 8) and (5, 1, 3, s) for s = 7, 8 as candidates. In this article, we prove that the remaining seven quadruples given above are, in fact, universal.

  • Supplementary cementitious materials (SCM) such as fly ash, ground granulated blast furnace slag and silica fume are now being extensively used in concrete to control expansion due to alkali-silica reactivity (ASR). However, the replacement level of a single SCM needed to deleterious ASR expansion and cracking may create other problem and concerns. For example, incorporating silica fume at levels greater than 10% by mass of cement may lead to dispersion and workability concerns, while fly ash can lead to poor strength development at early age, The combination of silica fume and fly ash in ternary cementitious system may alleviate this and other concerns, and result in a number of synergistic effects. The aim of the study was to enable evaluation of more realistic suitability of a silica fume-fly ash combination system for ASR resistance based on an in-house modification of ASTM C 1260 test method. The modification can be more closely identified with actual field conditions. In this study three different strengths of NaOH test solution(1N, 0.5N, and 0.25N) were used to measure the expansion characteristics of mortar bar made with a reactive aggregate. The other variable included longer testing period of 28 days instead of a conventional 14 days.

  • This paper reports on analyzing the free and restrained shrinkage characteristic of ternary grout used cementitious admixture. In this study, the cementitious admixture was used such as fly ash, ziricania silica fume by combination of expansive additive (a, b) and shrinkage reducing agent. And a number of basic performance tests were conducted to investigate bleeding, volume change, fluidity and compressive strength behavior. According to the results, within appropriate mixing ratio, even the fluidity is not influenced by expansive additive and shrinkage reducing agent, the resistant properties of bleeding, volume change, shrinkage and compressive strength are increased. Comparing with plain grout, the free shrinkage reduced by a minimum of 29% which specimens are added expansive additive and shrinkage reducing agent. The combination of expansive additive a and shrinkage reducing agent is the most effective for reduction of shrinkage. And increasing the mixing ratio of expansive additive and shrinkage reducing agent extended cracking time. Nevertheless, combined addition of expansive additive a 2.0% and shrinkage reducing agent 0.50% has best shrinkage reduction behavior and not appeared cracking. From the above, the mixing ratio of 2.0% of expansive additive a and 0.50% of shrinkage reducing agent is high performance ternary grout for PSC bridge.
