옥내(屋內)의 온도(溫度), 상대습도(相對濕度)와 목재(木材) 평형함수율(平衡含水率)의 연중(年中) 변이(變異) (Annual Variation in Temperature, Relative Humidity and Equilibrium Moisture Content of Wood in Indoor)

  • 중부 지방에서 옥내의 목재 사용 4장소별로 기후치평형함수율은 온도와 상대습도를 근거하여 계산하고 실측평형함수율은 더그러스 퍼와 상수리나무 등 7수종의 기건 시험편을 1년간 공시하여 측정하였다. 조사된 각 장소의 연간 평균 온도과 상대습도는 아파트 안방이 $23.3^{\circ}C$와 54.9%, 아파트 거실은 $22.4^{\circ}C$와 59.5%, 사무실은 $20.1^{\circ}C$와 57.0%, 단독주택의 거실은 $19.4^{\circ}C$와 64.0%이었다. 년간 평균 기후치평형함수율과 실측평형함수율은 아파트 안방은 각각 10.2%와 9.7%, 아파트 거실은 각각 11.1%와 10.2%, 사무실은 각각 10.7%와 10.4% 그리고 단독주택의 거실은 각각 12.1%와 12.5%이었다. 카사이의 실측평형함수율은 전체 평균치보다 약간 컸었고 버즘나무와 아피통은 약간 적었다.

  • This paper researched leakage current characteristics of EHW insulators(36,000lbs) to artificially contaminated clay and kaolin through construction of long-periods testing facility. Insulators were contaminated and classified into the ESDD level(B, C and D) under IEC Pub. 60507 standards method. As a result of tests, leakage current of the heavily contaminated D level to clay was approximately 2,260 $[\muA]$, which is contaminated to kaolin was approximately 3,200 $[\muA]$, during initial rainfall. However after raining, leakage current of naturally washed contamination insulators was lower at approximately 300 $[\muA]$. As regular temperature $20^{\circ}C$, leakage current increased greatly in case humidity density was over $72\%$. But, leakage current was not influenced by temperature variation in case of regular $\%$ humidity.

음식점의 공기 중 부유미생물 분포 평가를 위한 기초연구 (A Pilot Study on the Assessment of Bioaerosols in Restaurants)

  • Objectives: A pilot study was undertaken to assess the bioaerosol levels in restaurants and determine the effects of variations in temperature, relative humidity, and air movement on these levels. It focused on the differences between kitchens and dining areas, as well as between summer and winter. Methods: A field survey was performed in six restaurants. An Anderson type air sampler was used for sampling bioaerosols, such as total suspended bacteria (TSB), Gram-negative bacteria (GNB), Gram positive bacteria (GPB), opportunistic bacteria (OP), Staphylococcus spp., and total suspended fungi (TSF). Results: The average levels of TSB were $1{\times}10^2CFU/m^3$ and of TSF they were $1{\times}10^0{\sim}10^1CFU/m^3$. The kitchens had higher bioaerosol levels compared to dining areas, and summer showed much higher levels than winter. The concentration of OP in summer was more than six-fold that of winter. S. aureus was detected both in kitchens and dining areas, even in winter. The main effect of air movement on TSB levels was significant (p<0.05), as was air temperature, relative humidity and air movement on TSF levels (p<0.05). Conclusion: There was a wide variation in bioaerosol levels among different restaurants. The results indicate that cooking foods may be a key factor affecting bioaerosol levels. The effects of air temperature and relative humidity reveal that bioaerosol levels may vary according to the season. The observation of pathogenic bacteria suggests that the hygiene management of establishments should be improved. Future research is needed to characterize the relation between bioaerosol levels and the occupant density of the dining area.

통기성 상자 구조물의 강도적 최적화 연구(I)-실증 분석 (Strength Optimization of Ventilating Container(I)-Experimental Analysis)

  • 현재 국내에는 통기성 상자의 설계에 관한 기준이 마련되어 있지않아, 통기공으로 인한 상자 압축강도 저하와 통기성 면에서도 좋지 않은 형편이다. 선진 외국과는 물류 및 포장환경이 다르고, 방법에 있어서도 큰 차이가 있기 때문에 외국의 사례를 국내의 포장설계에 적용하는 데는 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 현재 국내에서 유통되는 통기성 상자에 대한 실태분석과 온 습도 변화에 따른 압축강도 저하와 통기성을 분석하므로써, 통기성 상자의 최적설계를 위한 설계 기준을 마련하고자 수행되었다. 현행 유통되는 통기성 상자의 통기공의 면적 비율은 $1.41{\sim}2.65%$ 였으며, 통기공의 형태, 크기 및 위치가 매우 다양하여, 이로 인한 상자 압축강도 저하율은 $8.5{\sim}20.2%$의 범위에 있었다. 대체로 통기공의 면적비율 보다는 통기공의 형태와 위치가 상자의 압축강도 저하에 미치는 더 중요한 요인으로 분석되었다. 통기공의 면적비율이 클 수록 온도와 상대습도의 평형도달시간은 짧았으며, 온도가 상대습도에 비하여 더 빨리 형평상태에 도달하였으며, 또한 통기공의 면적 비율이 같은 경우, 통기공의 형태에 따른 온도 및 상대습도의 평형도달 시간과 평형도달 온 습도에 있어서는 큰 차이가 없었다.

  • Air washer remove dust on the air and use for humidification. But the last should be applied to the semiconductor and FPD industry, air washer has focused on removing pollutants. In addition, air washer within the clean room remove the pollutants as well as use for humidification in Winter. However, there is no research in the country, and for research purposes, the evaluation was conducted by atomizing water temperature variation and L/G variation. Performance evaluation results are the same conditions as the entrance of air washers ($23^{\circ}C$, 45%RH). Cooling effect is enhanced when atomizing water temperature is lower. The larger the performance of humidification to L/G lower the temperature increases.

  • In this studies, variation of the sintering temperature with a single round type piezoelectric actuator of PZT 401 powder [UPI CO.] were fabricated. The piezoelectric properties were investigated as specimens with sintering temperature $1000^{\circ}C,\;1100^{\circ}C,\;1200^{\circ}C,\;1270^{\circ}C,\;1300^{\circ}C$. The strain was measured with respect to the variation of the electric field(500V-1000V), time, temperature($18^{\circ}C-40^{\circ}C$) and humidity(35%-93%).

서울시 대기 중 $H_2O_2$의 농도 (Hydrogen Peroxide Concentrations in Air in Seoul)

  • Gas-phase hydrogen peroxide(H2O2) concentrations were measured to investigate it's distribution in the ambient air in downtown Seoul(Kwanghwamum and Mullae-dong). These measurements were made during four season, from April 30, 1998 to January 29, 1999, using Cold Trap and HPLC. Measurements were also made of other photochemical oxidants and trace gases(O3, NO2, CO and SO2) and meteorological parameters(relative humidity, temperature, solar radiation and wind speed). The mean of all observations was 0.10 ppbv and the range measured was below the level of detection(>0.01 ppbv) to 0.47ppbv. The higher seasonal mean concentrations showed during the summer(0.21 ppbv) and concentrations of H2O2 showed a diurnal variation with maximum concentrations in the afternoon(12:30∼14:00). The results from the corrrelation analysis showed that the concentration of gaseous H2O2 is strongly dependent on the other air pollutants(NO2, CO and O3) and meteorological parameters(relative humidity, temperature and solar radiation.)

  • Samples of banana were dried in a two-stage heat pump dryer capable of producing stepwise control of the inlet drying air temperature while keeping absolute humidity constant. Two stepwise air temperature profiles were tested. The incremental temperature step change in temperature of the drying air about the mean air temperature of 30 $^{\circ}C$ was 5 $^{\circ}C$. The total drying time for each temperature-time profile was about 300 minutes. The drying kinetics and color change of the products dried under these stepwise variation of the inlet air temperature were measured and compared with constant air temperature drying. The stepwise air temperature variation was found to yield better quality product in terms of color of the dried product. Further, it was found that by employing a step-down temperature profile, it was possible to reduce the drying time to reach the desired moisture content.

  • The low level atmospheric obsewation carried out to Investigate magnitude, formation and dissipation of nocturnal surface Inversion layer, also to survey relation to each meterological parameter In Inversion layer at Pusan power plant for Oct. 13, 1996. As coastal area, the surface Inversion layer height was relatively high(186m), and after sunset unstable layer formated firom surface to around 40m, and the Inversion layer was left still in the upper layer. The surface Inversion layer dissipated at 0920LST perfectly. The layer that strong Inversion layer was formated, showed steep variation of potential temperature and wand speed and relative humidity.

  • Capacitive-type humidity sensors with a high sensitivity and fast response/recovery times have attracted a great attention in non-contact respiration biological signal monitoring applications. However, complicated fabrication processes involving high-temperature heat treatment for the hygroscopic film is essential in the conventional ceramic-based humidity sensors. In this study, a non-toxic ceramic/metal halide (BaTiO3(BT)/NaCl) humidity sensor was prepared at room temperature using a solvent-free aerosol deposition process (AD) without any additional process. Currently prepared BT/NaCl humidity sensor shows an excellent sensitivity (245 pF/RH%) and superior response/recovery times (3s/4s) due to the NaCl ionization effect resulting in an immense interfacial polarization. Furthermore, the non-contact respiration signal variation using the BT/NaCl sensor was determined to be over 700% by maintaining the distance of 20 cm between the individual and the sensor. Through the AD-fabricated sensor in this study, we expect to develop a non-contact biological signal monitoring system that can be applied to various fields such as respiratory disease detection and management, infant respiratory signal observation, and touchless skin moisture sensing button.
