Implementation of Internet Telephone by SIP Server (SIP 서버를 통한 인터넷폰 구현)

  • We can foresee the rapidly growing of users by development of VoIP service what can transmit a audio traffic with low cost among a lots application using internet. VoIP needs a standardized protocol that is able to do signaling for offering high quality of services such as mobility, universal number, multiparty conference, voice mail, automatic call distribution. At the present time, a base composition elements of SIP(Session Intiation Protocol) are developing for offering VoIP based SIP in the inside and outside of the country, because SIP of IETF which has a strength from 'fast connection', 'parsing' & 'easy to compile' points of view. This paper suggests a type of Hybrid SIP Server for providing some services as 'a reducing load of SIP server that process a request method from users', 'efficiency of managing networks', 'offering services to many users'.

  • Service platform which can offer various multimedia communication as the video, audio, voice and data is IMS(IP Multi-Media Subsystem). It is effective in the company is introducing only such convergence IMS services to be required to provide various multimedia services at the lowest cost and existing communication environment while keeping the maximum Therefore, in this study, we had developed IMS 코어 main system that not more than 1,000 employees of companies can effectively establish IMS solutions. This system is located at the middle between IMS terminal and CSCF(Call Session Control Function) in line with IMS services and provides CSCF in response to the IMS terminal and IMS terminal in response to the CSCF. As well, corded telephone and SIP phone which were used as terminal is linked with gateway.

Innovation in Telecom Services -Framework and Analysis Based on the Case of International Pre-paid Calling Cards in Japan

  • Much work on innovation has focused on the manufacturing sector. In this paper, we propose a framework for analyzing innovation in services centred on capability and technology integration. We illustrate the theoretical points made by conducting a case study on an international telephone communications provider Brastel, which introduced significant innovations in international calling services, in the form of rechargeable pre-paid calling card, through effective application of standard IT. Brastel is situated against its main competitors, considering two dimensions of price and service breadth and convenience. A novel technique for measuring competitiveness based on price and service index is introduced. The following competitors were selected: NTT, KDDI, Japan Telecom, Fusion Communications, J-Call / World Link, G-Call, ASP Check, Primus, QuickPhone, and MCI. To create the service index, factors such as ease of use, convenience, number of languages in which the services are available, and additional features were taken into account. The company itself and the rechargeable card innovation were analyzed through in-depth interviews and data collection. It was shown that a competitive advantage was maintained through internal and external capabilities.

  • This study is to examine the relationship between emotional labor and turnover intension and moderating role of social support in airline call center tele-communicators who perform emotional labor using telephone without direct confronting with clients. This study empirically shows that emotional labor increases turnover intention and social support negatively moderate the relationship of emotional labor and turnover intension Social support is suggested to reduce the negative results of emotional labor causes. This study makes a contribution in providing the fact that emotional labor is an important managing factor in administration of call center tele-communicators.

  • As the development of the various IP-based services, it is expected that Internet telephony service will gradually replace the traditional PSTN-based telephony service. But there are many issues resolved to spread the Internet telephony service. One of them is to support the emergency services in the Internet telephony. In the case of USA, it has been regulated that 911 services should be supported in the Internet telephony services using VoIP on the similar performance level to PSTN 911 service. According to the regulation, basic VoIP 911 calls should be routed to the general access line of LEA without the location information or the callback number, but the enhanced VoIP 911 calls with the location information and callback number should be routed on the dedicated 911 network and destined to the local 911 distribution center such as PSAP. But, in the current VoIP-based Internet telephony network, the emergency call service has not been handled as one of the special services as well at has a worse performance in comparison to it on PSTN. Moreover, the service has a critical problem that it can not be destined to the nearest PSAP because of the insufficient information about the location information and the call back number. In this paper, we suggest the SIP-based emergency call service mechanism in order to resolve the problems above mentioned. This suggested mechanism is implemented to show its effectiveness and efficiency.

  • A weather forecast service with speech recognition is described. This service allows users to get the weather information of all the cities by saying the city names with just one phone call, which was not provided in the previous weather forecast service. Speech recognition is implemented in the intelligent peripheral (IP) of the advanced intelligent network (AIN). The AIN is a telephone network architecture that separates service logic from switching equipment, allowing new services to be added without having to redesign switches to support new services. Experiments in speech recognition show that the recognition accuracy is 90.06% for the general users' speech database. For the laboratory members' speech database, the accuracies are 95.04% and 93.81%, respectively in simulation and in the test on the developed system.

  • 현재 인터넷은 음성을 포함한 실시간 정보의 제공을 기반으로 정보에 대한 욕구를 충족시키고 있으며, 이러한 인터넷의 실시간을 바탕으로 사용자는 새로운 서비스에 대한 요구를 창출하게 되었고, 저렴한 인터넷을 이용하여 Public Switched Telephone Network(PSTN)과 같은 기존 통신망을 대체하는 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol)는 이러한 요구에 부흥하는 인터넷의 대표적인 서비스로 등장하고 있으며, MGCP, SIP 그리고 H.323 같은 프로토콜을 기반으로 VoIP 서비스를 위한 다각적인 접근과 연구가 진행 중이다. 본 연구는 VoIP 서비스를 위한 여러 프로토콜 중 IETF가 주관하고 있는 MGCP(Media Gateway Control Protocol) 스팩에 따라 MGCP를 구현하였으며, 댁내 서비스를 위한 인터넷에서의 VoIP 신뢰성을 보장하는 방안으로 기존 PSTN망을 백업형태로 지원하는 방안을 연구하여 특정 번호는 Call Agent(CA)와 MGCP 프로토콜로 통신하지 않고 임의 변경 없이 자동으로 기존 망으로의 발신이 가능한 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다.

  • Retrial queues have been widely used to model the many practical situations arising from telephone systems, telecommunication networks and call centers. An approximation method for a simple Markovian retrial queue by reducing the two dimensional problem to one dimensional problem was presented by Fredericks and Reisner in 1979. The method seems to be a promising approach to approximate the retrial queues with complex structure, but the method has not been attracted a lot of attention for about thirty years. In this paper, we exposit the method in detail and show the usefulness of the method by presenting the recent results for approximating the retrial queues with complex structure such as multi-server retrial queues with phase type distribution of retrial time, impatient customers with general persistent function and/or multiclass customers, etc.

  • In this paper, we study the robot controller design using the voice and data communication via CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) mobile communication network. We design the robot remote controller using the three methods, telephone call speech recognition, DTMF (Dual Tone Multiple Frequency) realization, SMS(Short Message Service) transmission/reception way via CDMA mobile communication network. We investigate the validity and effectiveness of the proposed remote controller which applied to the mobile robot.

Maximum penalized likelihood estimation for a stress-strength reliability model using complete and incomplete data

  • The two parameter negative exponential distribution has many practical applications in queuing theory such as the service times of agents in system, the time it takes before your next telephone call, the time until a radioactive practical decays, the distance between mutations on a DNA strand, and the extreme values of annual snowfall or rainfall; consequently, has many applications in reliability systems. This paper considers an estimation problem of stress-strength model with two parameter negative parameter exponential distribution. We introduce a maximum penalized likelihood method, Bayes estimator using Lindley approximation to estimate stress-strength model and compare the proposed estimators with regular maximum likelihood estimator for complete data. We also introduce a maximum penalized likelihood method, Bayes estimator using a Markov chain Mote Carlo technique for incomplete data. A Monte Carlo simulation study is performed to compare stress-strength model estimates. Real data is used as a practical application of the proposed model.
