Discussions of world history often focus on the pros and cons of thinking on large spatial scales. However, world history also tends to employ unusually large timescales, both for research and teaching; frequently it is framed around a teleology and a series of "revolutions" which mark milestones taking humans from a very distant past to "modernity". Moreover, world history usually rejects regionally specific period markers (e.g. Renaissance), making periodization within this long timespan especially difficult. This article surveys various approaches to these problems, and shows that any of them, if treated as sufficient by itself, introduces significant distortions. It argues for a world history that highlights this problem, rather than hiding it, and which uses the need to deploy multiple timescales simultaneously to clarify the distinctive intellectual contribution of historical thinking.

In this essay, we problematize the problematics of the KMIS SOLOMO research agenda. We propose that the SOLOMO agenda is a conditioned product of the various assumptions, biases, premises, and presuppositions that the field of IS collectively succumbs to and shares, and thus needs to be problematized to arrive at a new set of research questions for the field. The problematization begins with the ontology that underlies the agenda. We argue that the agenda is largely drawn from a dichotomic, deep ontology of Human vs. Technology. While such ontology is neither right nor wrong in its own right, we suggest it is what underlies and influences the field's whole mode of inquiry including its research agenda. We propose an alternative ontology, the Actor-Network Theory (ANT), which as a flat ontology provides a radically different set of research questions for the field. Next we take issue with the teleology of the SOLOMO agenda, and suggest that the telos of the agenda, and of the field of IS and the whole of Management discipline together, are anchored upon the capitalist episteme so that it creates a significant hole in its teleological scape. While not in any sense calling for an ideological demagogue, we propose that the field of IS should open itself to an alternative teleology including a leftist perspective. We draw upon the Critical Management Studies (CMS) to explore how further problematization can be made on the SOLOMO agenda, generating questions about its performativity, denaturalization, and reflexivity. As a result of the discussions, a list of new problematized research questions for the SOLOMO agenda is generated. In the end we state the motivation of the essay and call for a critical refurbishing of the field of IS.

As for the practical purpose of mathematics education, the extrinsic purpose is emphasized. As an alternative to this, a discussion on mathematics education as a character education is urgently requested. It can be said that the main purpose of learning mathematics is to have a form of life that values the form and structure of mathematics. The epistemological basis of such an idea can be seen as based on Kant's philosophy. Kant's epistemology can provide one answer to the question of the intrinsic purpose of mathematics education.

This study was conducted to identify whether there is a significant difference in the developmental stages of the evolution concept depending on the major and the country. For this study, college students (both biology major and non-biology major) in Korea and the United States answered evolution concept assessment developed by Ha (2007). The data were analyzed based on the method of developed by Ha (2016). As a result of this study, Cronbach alpha for internal consistency reliability and MNSQ indices for item response fitness of the ordered multiple choice method providing 0 to 4 point scores to creationism, teleology, intentionality, use/disuse, and natural selection respectively, satisfied the benchmark. The level of Korean college students' evolution concepts was located in use/disuse and the level of USA college students' evolution concepts was located in teleology. No interaction effect was found between the difference of conceptual progressions of evolution concept by major and country and evolution contexts (human, animal, and plant). There was a significant relationship between developmental stages of evolution concept and their religiosity. Based on the results of this study, we discuss developmental characteristics of evolutionary concepts.

The aim of this thesis is to clarify the application of Derrida's 'Deconstruction' theory on the contemporary costume. Derrida's theory of 'Deconstruction' took into the 'decentring' concept which deconstructed the subjects i.e., Occidentalism, Elitecentrism, logocentrism, mancentrism etc.; it deconstructed the dichotomy that had been expressed in the traditional occidental metaphysics, by raising the isolated ones such as the Orient, sub-culture, ir- rationality, madness, woman etc. Summarizing the conclusion of this thesis as follows, 1. The impact of 'Deconstruction' from the inside is to be seen in the principles of intertextuality of the costume, therefore it has shown the bisexual costume by interacting gender, and the costume by mixing time, place and occasion. 2. $\ulcorner$Dis$\lrcorner$ deft phenomena which shows the concept of escape from the center were presented as decentring, dislocation, discomposition, disorder. 3. Undecidability principle resulted in the undecidable presentation in the wearing styles such as wearing, unwearing, layering. Contemporary costume by the 'Deconstruction' from the inside regards costume as a dynamic text, which has attempted the interaction with the other genres. It deconstructed the teleology of the costume function, and it accepts all the various aesthetic principles.

The cone intercept method (CIM) is generally used for attitude determination of a spin-stabilized satellite. The method is popularly used on a transfer orbit, but it is well known that it can also be used for the geosychronous orbit. In this paper, the CIM is applied to the geosynchronous orbit and its performance and limitations will be investigated from the results. The CIM impliments two sensors (Sun and Earth sensors). The Sun sensor finds the angle between the spin-axis and the direction vector to the Sun and the Earth sensor does the angle between the spin-axis and the direction vector to the Earth. By using these two cone angles, the CIM gives the direction of the spin-axis of the satellite.

As the ubiquitous computing technology (uT) is prevailing, applying uT is more likely to transform the legacy way of doing business to a new way with the goals of ubiquitous computing: strategic use of information resources by using them everywhere, every time, with any devices for any services. These opportunities naturally require the provision to assess the degree of the transformation from the legacy IT-based e-business to the uT-based business. However, research about assessing the degree of u-transformation has been still very few. Moreover, even deciding what is ubiquitous or not is obscure. Hence, this paper aims to propose the methodology for assessing the degree of u-transformation oriented by the teleology of ubiquitous service, which intends to fully make use of uT in creating new business of next generation. Through the literature review, we developed the methodology to check whether the provided service is ubiquitous or not based on the capabilities that technologies have. and then, the methodology developed to assess the technical requirements that the uT should have when the transformation is considered through the focus group interview based on the literature review of the capability. A two-layered approach is introduced to assess not only the level of ubiquity but also the degree of u-transformation.

Chaotic OOK(On-Off Keying) modulation method can be used in LDR(Low Data Rate) UWB systems. The chaotic generator in one of the most important circuit in this system. The traditional chaotic generator circuits using analog feed back technique have low yield characteristic due to the process variation. A novel quasi-chaotic signal generator using digital PN-sequence in proposed in this paper and verified in 0.18um CMOS teleology.

The purpose of this paper is to classify fashion and trend, and examine how his fashionable philosophy reflects design. What affects his fashion philosophy is Western culture and Paris Revolution. Taking this opportunity, he outgrew the concept of haute couture and established specific fashion philosophy. His fashion philosophy is classified under consideration for women, respect for free emotions, recognition of tradition, and an active intercourse with many people. The characteristics of design through his philosophy are as following: 1. He wanted to release women from clothing restrained the body and make comfortable clothing which everyone can wear. This implies the consideration for women. It is the characteristics of his design to the harmony of functionality, simplicity, decoration and popularity. 2. He respected the free emotions and induced people to wear each parts of clothing which is dismantled freely within the limits coincided with clothing teleology-'wear', It implies autonomy. He also unfolded experimental design: gives the regular space between the clothing and the body and then distorts the body or maximizes modeling. It implies the beauty of space. 3. He elicited the modern design through recognition of tradition. It implies contemporaneousness. 4, As he thought that all of the concepts is based on human, he derived inspiration firm an active intercourse with many people, He established a new style through an active intercourse with artists because if he works alone, he would rise above the popular trend, It comes to the gest artist serieE and implies popularity, The characteristics of design in his fashion philosophy is classified into experimental design and practical design. But the important factor of his fashion philosophy is popularity so he would like to make popular clothing. He designs clothing which fit the public. It results from his firm fashion philosophy that his clothing is practical and decorative and he establishes his works meeting needs of modern. It is the reason that his clothing has perpetuity.

Alan Goldman criticizes "means-end analyses" in that they define the concept of sexuality in terms of extrinsic values to sexuality, such as reproduction, love, and communication. And he claims that sexual desire in itself is only "desire for contact with another person's body and for the pleasure which such contact produces." I suggest that his analysis of sexuality also fails to offer the exact definition of sexuality, and that it also produces the hierarchial conception of sexuality just as those analyses that he refuses do. I agree to Christopher Hamilton's suggestion of Wittgenstein's idea of "family resemblance" and suggest a new sexual ethics focusing on the sexual autonomy. New sexual ethics demands that each person should formulate, reflect, evaluate, and revise his or her sexuality according to his or her own conception of sexuality and teleology. And I claim that new sexual ethics does not formulate distinct domain, but belongs to general ethics which general behaviors are judged through.
