  • The Median of a set of number is a number which partitions the given set. The specified numbers of a set partitions in one subset and in another subset. In Image Processing, The Sorting method of numbers of one subset equal to the previous Median Filtering. but The Sorting method of numbers of another subset not equal to in the other. In this paper, a fast two-dimentional Median Filtering Algorithm is proposed. The Algorithm designed in such a during the partitioning of the previous window are used. Test results obtained by running the Algorithm on IBM PC(586) are presented and its filtering. It is shown that the proposed Algorithm's processing time is faster and independent of the number of bits used to represent the data values.

  • The recent aesthetical argument has been focusing on the interrelation between art and media. Now media is a kind of creative activity and dynamic factor which comprises aesthetic perception in itself compared to that of the past linear thingking era that was just a means of proving presence. Norbert Bolz, a leading media-aesthetician, puts the emphasis on the transformation of image, not the its dupe. He urges that this artistic form does not deliver the image of object, but means the objectless image itself. Therefore creativity is caused by an effect of a optional technic in the stage of technological environment where is under the control of the non-linear thingking system. In this context, this essay investigates to confirm the above mentioned aestheical views by analyzing the computer based layer as an detailed example, and to illuminate the designers creative activity where is deemed to be under its radical influence. Therefore it can be dedicated to the extension of the theoretical background in design, bridging between two practices accor ding to the Bolz's notion that the new aesthetical concept should be accompanied by ' the Design Science ', that is centered on the new media.

  • Purpose: Nowadays, NM (in vitro lab) and LM (TLA lab) are overlaped in almost all tests. in this case, how can NM develop continually in a keen competition with LM. we studied to find out current situation and problems after comparing NM with LM. Then, to improve our technic. Methods and meterials: We studied from October 2008 to February 2009 at department of nuclear medicine Seoul National University Bundang Hospital visited 108 patients. We assayed TSH, $FT_4$ by Ria-mat{TSH (n=23), $FT_4$ (n=19)} and AFP, CEA, PSA by manual. {AFP (n=24), CEA (n=31), PSA (n=31)}. On the other hand, LM was measured by TLA system. Results: NM was similar to LM (value of AFP), NMLM (value of PSA,TSH), NM$\leqq$LM (value of $FT_4$ in range 0.01~1.00 ng/mL), NM$\geqq$LM (value of $FT_4$ in range 1.00~6.00 ng/mL) Conclusions: There was no test which result showed big difference remarkably, but several tests have some difference totally or partly. It means that there is possibility to judge wrongly (normal patient->abnormal, abnormal->normal). So, we need to consider always when we report the result.

  • Web camera is usually used for video communication between PC, it has small sensing area, cannot using long exposure application, so that is insufficient for astronomical application. But web camera is suitable for bright planet, moon, it doesn't need long exposure time. So many amateur astronomer using web camera for planetary imaging. We used ToUcam manufactured by Phillips for planetary imaging and Registax commercial program for a video file combining. And then, we are measure a property of web camera, such as linearity, gain that is usually using for analysis of CCD performance. Because of using combine technic selected high quality image from video frame, this method on take higher resolution planetary imaging than one shot image by film, digital camera and CCD. We describe a planetary observing method and a video frame combine method.

  • Shear failure of reinforced concrete (RC) beams is serious problem due to sudden brittle failure and many experimental results proved that size effect in shear strength of RC beams is an important feature of reinforced concrete members. As the sizes of RC beams very large, experiments sometimes become very difficult so that empirical design formula or the experimental data on shear strength of RC beams could not be obtained. Then the numerical analyses for size effect on shear strength of RC beams become very important. In this study, finite-element technique of reinforced concrete is employed of shear analysis of RC beams without web reinforcement and the size effects in shear strength are numerically analyzed. The influencing factors to the size effect in the shear strength of RC beams are extensively analyzed and compared with those by major shear strength equations including several standard specifications.

  • The current design practice of electric transmission tower is based on the allowable stress design. However, it is difficult to find the cause behind a transmission tower's collapse by the above design approach as the collapse is caused by large secondary deformations based on and geometrical nonlinear behavior.influence factor for the nonlinear behavior is mainly residual stress, initial imperfection and end restraints on members. In this study, the necessity of the nonlinear analysis is examined through the comparison between elastic ana the nonlinear analysis, a new analytical method (equivalent nonlinear analysis technique) is proposed. To confirm the reliability of the proposed method, the computed ultimate load of the transmission tower using the method was compared with that of the nonlinear finite element analysis. Effects of parameters, such as compressive force and the slenderness ratio of the brace member on the main post member, were investigated. The effective member length according to influential parameters was formulated in table form for practical purposes.

  • To investigate propofol's effects on ionic currents induced by ${\gamma}-aminobutyric$ acid (GABA) and glycine as well as on those produced by the nicotinic acetylcholine- and glutamate-responsive channels, rat dorsal raphe neurons were acutely dissociated and the nystatin-perforated patch-clamp technique under voltage-clamp conditions was used to observe their responses to the administration of propofol. Propofol evoked ion currents in a dose-dependent manner, and propofol $(10^{-4}\;M)$ was used to elicit ion currents through the activation of $GABA_A,$ glycine, nicotinic acetylcholine and glutamate receptors. Propofol at a clinically relevant concentration $(10^{-5}\;M)$ potentiated $GABA_A-,$ glycine- and NMDA receptor-mediated currents. The potentiating action of propofol on $GABA_A-,$ glycine- and NMDA receptor-mediated responses involved neither opioid receptors nor G-proteins. Apparently, propofol modulates inhibitory and excitatory neurotransmitter-activated ion channels either by acting directly on the receptors or by potentiating the effects of the neurotransmitters, and this modulation appears to be responsible for the majority of the anaesthetic and/or adverse effects.

  • This paper sees some legal phases of the forfaiting transactions performed by using bills of exchange (drafts) or promissory notes. It focuses on the issues of the endorsement without recourse and the aval under the Korean statute for such negotiable instruments which is enacted by succeeding to the Convention Providing a Uniform Law For Bills of Exchange and Promissory Notes (Geneva, 1930) of the League of Nations. This paper purposes to give basic legal guides for forfaiting participants in order for them to be able to prevent and solve some problems caused by lack of understanding for relevant rules of law. Forfaiting is a useful technic as it provides financing for international export businesses by enabling forfaiters to discount future payment obligations on non-recourse basis. It gives benefits to exporters by removing political, transfer and commercial risks of importers or their country. Also it protects exporters from the risks of the increase of interest rates and the fluctuation of exchange rate as well. In traditionally normal forfaiting transactions, exporter of goods generally takes promissory notes or accepted drafts from importers in payment for the price of goods. Further, when the exporter is not comfortable with the importer's credit or is not confident whether the importer will pay the accepted drafts or the promissory notes as they come due, the exporter nomally requires the importer to make the importer's bank (avalizer or guarantor) add an aval, which is made by the written expression of intention, the words of "per aval", and the guarantor's signature on the drafts or promissory notes. The exporter endorses without recourse to transfer the drafts or the promissory notes to the forfaiter, typically a bank, who purchases the drafts or the promissory notes without recourse.
