Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Tukey and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results: The mean score of resilience to burnout and work satisfaction of participants were 3.59 and 3.69, respectively. The highest and lowest scores of resilience to burnout were individual resources (3.81) and accomplishment and worthiness (3.36). There were significant differences in resilience to burnout scores, depending on religion, health status, type of hospice facilities, and period of volunteer experience. There were significant differences in work satisfaction scores, depending on gender, religion, education level, health status, and type of hospice facilities. • In this study, the effect of a sustainable energy design project on academic achievement for engineering freshmen at Virginia Tech in fall semester 2006 in the United States was examined by experimental method. The department of engineering education at Virginia Tech was opened in 2004. In this experiment the population was approximately 1200 freshmen, and 5 classes were sampled. Subject name is engineering exploration, a theme of the instruction is sustainable energy design, the project was performed throughout a 6 weeks period with one by 50 minutes lecture conducted by faculty and one 90 minutes workshop conducted by GTAs (Graduate Teaching Assistants) every week. The statistical results using SPSS (ver. 15.0) are as follows: A paired-samples t test analysis was run on the pre- and posttest to determine academic achievement, the results indicated a significant increase in 4 classes of mixed gender at .05 significance level, but there was no significance at 1 group of female class. A paired-samples t test analysis was run on the pre- and posttest to get an attitude score, the results showed, the posttest scores decreased for 5 groups even though it was not statistically significant. Finally, in responses to an open-ended question about students' perceptions of their improvement in skills, the 3 most frequently identified skills were teamwork, design process, knowledge.

  • Ethical perception may be thought of as 'professional skills'. Despite this, however, the dental hygiene curriculums tend to disregard ethics education. This paper describes ethical perception in dental hygiene students. Questionnaire surveys were conducted for 374 in dental hygiene students. For statistical analyses of collected data, the multiple linear regression were adopted. Demand as necessity of dental ethics education, clinical practice exercise, practice of work ethics education were found to have significant major effects on basic ethics perception. The major variables which related to the licensure and health care law and teamwork were to knowledge of revised ethics code of dental hygienist and to demand as necessity of dental ethics education. The major variables influencing the professional protocol were to knowledge of revised ethics code of dental hygienist, to demand as necessity of dental ethics education, role model for learning ethical principles. Revised ethics code of dental hygienist was the most important factor affecting professional protocol. The major variables influencing the decision-making were to demand as necessity of dental ethics education, to knowledge of revised ethics code of dental hygienist, clinical practice exercise, role model for learning ethical principles (church). About 88.4% of the students unawared to knowledge of revised ethics code of dental hygienist and perception of professional protocol of the students awared to knowledge of revised ethics code of dental hygienist was $3.44{\pm}0.23$ (p=0.000).

  • Currently, patrol officers dispatched are required to work in pairs, and are assigned individual duties. However, despite these rules, there are still inappropriate combat education centered around dangerous weapons and arresting technique training being taught in the police system. The human rights problems resulting from excessive responses, the damages done to the patrol officers due to insufficient responses, and the judicial issues that many officers who have justly arrested face, reveal the ultimate problem of the decrease in reliability of the police. Considering this problem, there is a need for change in the current training system. Specifically, in the current dispatch rule, assignment of individual duties, and training methods, realistic improvements must be made. Having understood the arrest technique training problem and reviewed case studies of the police training in South Korea and other countries, I plan to analyze the effects of implementing a realistic and professional training system, and propose a systemic solution according to the results. By effectively discussing the various issues of the proposed training and police education, I intend to propose a realistic teamwork training for paired patrol officers, enabling them to work well together in practice and theory, hence increasing the effectiveness in crime situation.

GI-STEAM program was the convergence model of Group Investigation that belongs to Co-learning and STEAM framework of learning criterion. The participants were 16 gifted students in a Korean elementary school located in Gyeong-gi province. The experimental design was one group pretest-posttest design. After a pretest on leadership, creative personality, and learning flow was conducted, classes were carried out as GI-STEAM program for the gifted student and a post-test was conducted. The study results of the class that was conducted twelve times for two weeks are as follows. First, Individual area of leadership is meaningfully developed in statistics after GI-STEAM program. The sub-domains of leadership, such as the communication, organization management, society commitment and teamwork showed a statistically significant improvement. Second, the domain of creative personality didn't show meaningful difference after GI-STEAM program. However, the aesthetic in the sub-domains of the creative personality showed a statistically significant improvement. Third, learning flow was meaningfully developed in statistics after GI-STEAM program. The sub-domains of the leadership, such as the balance between challenge and ability, integration with behavior and consciousness, concrete feedback and Autotelic experience showed a statistically significant improvement. In conclusion, GI-STEAM is an effective program for improving ability of communication, aesthetic sensibility, which are core competency of 'creative-convergence' gifted students. • The purpose of this study is to explore this music class activity and its effectiveness based on design thinking and using applications class. To this end, the effectiveness study was conducted based on the researchers' prior study of 'Development of Music learning program Using Applications Based on Design Thinking'. Under the study, two first graders who are attending P Middle School in Gyeonggi Province were selected as experimental(29) and control groups(29). The experimental group conducted the class using this program and the control group conducted a general music class. The pre-post-examination was conducted to find out the effects of this class on students' creativity, empathy, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. The course of the study was developed for seven weeks, a program pre-post-survey, and a response sample t-test was used to analyze the results. The study found that experimental groups show significant differences in creativity, empathy, cooperative spirit and problem-solving skills, while control groups that conducted general music classes had similar results in advance-postmortem. The group's students found that their ability to empathize with others in the problem situation was enhanced, their sense of rapid problem solving and achievement was high, and their ability to create creative ideas and enhance creativity in the process of solving the problem was improved. In the future, we look forward to using this music class activity in the field where new, creative, and diverse classroom models are needed.
