수학적 의사소통 능력 신장을 위한 교수-학습 모형 개발 및 적용 연구 (A Study on the Development and Application of Teaching and Learning Model for the Improvement of Mathematical Communication Ability)

  • 우리나라의 2007개정 수학과 교육과정에서는 의사소통 능력의 신장을 수학과 교육 목표의 중요한 부분으로 설정하고 있다. 수학적 의사소통은 학생들이 자신의 사고 과정을 재정립하고, 다른 사람과 상호작용하면서 지식을 구성해 나가는데 중요한 수단이 된다. 이 논문에서는 수학 교실에서 수학적 의사소통 능력을 신장시키기 위한 방안으로 수학적 의사소통 모형을 개발하고, 개발된 의사소통 모형에 따른 수업과 전통적인 교사 중심의 설명식 수업에서 지식의 형성 과정을 비교 분석하였다. 개발된 교수-학습 모형에 따른 수업에서는 전통적인 교사 중심의 설명식 수업에 비해 자신의 문제 해결 방법을 모둠원들과 의사소통을 통해 상호 비교하고, 자신의 의견을 수정하여 가장 적절한 해결 방법을 찾고 합의하였다. 이런 과정을 통해 학생들은 주관적 지식을 객관적 지식으로 구성해 나갔다.

초등 과학교과 교사용 지도서 생명 영역 단원 및 차시 목표의 일관성 분석 (A Analysis on Consistency of Learning Objectives of Units and Instructional Units in Elementary School Biology Teaching Guide-Books)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the consistency and balance of learning objectives of units and instructional units according to grades and educational domains. Educational domains were cognitive(scientific knowledge), scientific inquiry(inquiry process skills), affective(scientific attitude), and science-technology-society(STS). Learning objectives of life field of the 7th elementary science curricular teaching guidebooks were analysed. Scientific inquiry process skill objectives(43.5%) were most dominant in units, but cognitive objectives(53.9%) were most dominant in instructional units. STS objectives were most recessive in both units and instructional units. Especially, objectives of units and instructional units were shown no consistency by grade. The results of this study suggested that the textbooks and teaching guidebooks should be developed consistently by considering learning activities and contents on the basis of background and properties of science curriculum.

공과대학생들의 학습 과정 분석에 기초한 학습지원 방안 연구 : 수도권 S대 사례를 중심으로 (A Study on Learning Support based on the analysis of learning process in the college of Engineering)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 공학교육의 질 개선을 위해서는 학생들의 학습과정에 대한 분석이 함께 이루어져야 한다는 가정 아래, 공과대학생들의 학습과정을 분석하고 이를 통해 학습지원의 방향을 탐색하는 것이다. 학습과정 분석은 다섯 가지 영역-수업내활동, 수업외활동, 상호작용, 학습성과, 학습지원체제-으로 이루어졌으며, 수도권에 위치한 S대학의 공과대학생들을 대상으로 설문 조사를 하였다. T-test, Anova, 위계적선형모형을 활용한 회귀분석을 활용하였다. 연구 결과 전공과 교양 수업 만족도는 높았으나, 자기주도적 학습활동이나 교수와의 상호작용은 낮았으며, 고등사고력 활동에 많이 참여하고 있지 않았고 학습성과 역시 낮았다. 학습성과에 중요한 영향을 미치는 요인은 교수와의 상호작용, 고등사고력 활동, 수업에의 적극적인 참여였다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 고등교육의 질 개선을 위해 수업에의 적극적 참여와 고등사고력 활동을 강조하고 글쓰기 지원 및 교수-학생간 상호작용 활성화 등을 제안하였다.

특성화고교에서의 효과적인 수학교육 방안 (An Effective Method for Mathematics Teaching and Learning in Characterization High School)

  • Many mathematics teachers in characterization high schools have been troubled to teach students because most of the students have weak interests in mathematics and they are also lack of preliminary mathematical knowledges. Currently many of mathematics teachers in such schools teach students using worksheets owing to the situation that proper textbooks for the students are not available. In this study, we referred to Chevallard's didactic transposition theory based on Brousseau's theory of didactical situations for mathematical teaching and learning. Our lessons utilizing worksheets necessarily entail encouragement of students' self-directed activities, active interactions, and checking the degree of accomplishment of the goal for each class. Through this study, we recognized that the elaborate worksheets considering students' level, follow-up auxiliary materials that help students learn new mathematical notions through simple repetition if necessary, continuous interactions in class, and students' mathematical activities in realistic situations were all very important factors for effective mathematical teaching and learning.

대학생들이 인식한 강의실 환경 요인에 대한 분석 (An Analysis of the Classroom Environment Perceived by College Students)

  • There are growing concerns about designing classroom or school environments influencing teaching and learning activities. However, there are little research on how students perceive the physical characteristic of the classroom and whether physical factors of classroom affects students' learning. The purpose of this study aims to reveal the different perception of college students on their classroom environments depending on where they take class, traditional classroom or newly constructed classroom. Also, the study demonstrates how the difference of classroom environment affects students' learning outcome. The results of this study suggests that classroom should be designed considering the perceptions of the students and their teaching and learning activities.

토의식 수업을 적용한 수준별 소집단 협력학습이 학력신장에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Debate Studies Through Small Group Activities in Ability Group to The Improvement of The Students′ Learning Ability.)

  • Nowadays the number of students that is losing their interest as well as learning desire in mathematics is increasing because of lack of logical thought creative power and abstract expression that present-day mathematics requires by reason of discrepancy of extreme scholastic ability by speciality of mathematics. In these conditions, we reduce the number of learning depression by bringing about learning desire or learning interest on mathematics, and students learn effective learning methods to be voluntary learning of discovery themselves that studies basic concepts, principles, rules through logical thought of students to solve difference of scholastic ability, thus we assumed that debate studies through small group activities in ability group would be one of ways to improve learning power, so the results of our research are as follows; 1. Debate studies through small group activities were very effective because of reinforcing the achivement level of students. 2. By this learning method, an individual or cooperrative learning was fostered, and lively discussions were accomplished. And learning attitudes of students were changed by the extension of cooperative learning abilities through advices or by themselves. 3. A personal opinion is payed regard by accepting an individual idea in the process of making questions. Learners can correct wrong concepts in the process of correcting wrong answers. So if we apply above-mentioned studies with easy contents from the lower grades, the effectiveness would increase as learners go to the higher grade. According to the results of various researches as follows; "The teaching-learning method oriented coopperative debate studies is effective to find solutions to mathematical problems." If small group activities are applied in the educational situation to search the course of a desirable cooperation learning through small group activities to improve scholastic abilities for a discoverable problem-solving power. I think that the teaching-learning method oriented cooperative debate studies is one of the most desirable methods to increase the problem-solving ability.

공학교육에서의 팀티칭기반 융합프로젝트중심 교수학습모형의 개발 (Teaching-Learning Model of Convergence Project Based on Team Teaching in Engineering Education)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a teaching-learning model of convergence project based on team teaching. Based on development research methodology which explored a university case, the teaching-learning model was developed including three phases such as preparation, planning, and implementation & evaluation. The preparation phase has three steps as follows: to organize team teaching faculty; to develop convergence projects cooperated by industry and university; and to design instructions based on supporting convergence projects. The last step of preparation phase consists of five design activities of: (1) instructions and teaching contents; (2) communication channel among faculty members; (3) feedback system on students' performance; (4) tools to support learners' activity; and (5) evaluation system. The planning phase has two steps to analyze learners and to introduce and modify instruction and themes of convergence projects. The implementation & evaluation phase includes five steps as bellow: (1) to organize project teams and match teams with faculty members; (2) to do team building and assign duties to students of a team; (3) to provide instruction and consulting to teams; (4) to help teams to conduct projects through creative problem solving; and (5) to design mid-term/final presentation and evaluation. Lastly, the research implications and limitations were discussed for future studies.

발명 영재 교육기관의 교수-학습 실태 분석 (A Study of Teaching-Learning Practices in Education Center for the Talented in Invention)

  • 최근 영재교육의 영역이 다양화되는 추세 속에서 발명영재교육이 확대되고 있다. 2010년부터 지역교육청에서는 기존의 16개 '발명교실' 시스템을 영재교육원의 '발명 영재학급'으로 전환하여 운영하고 있다. 그렇지만 발명영재교육의 실천 역사가 일천한 탓에 프로그램의 내용이나 방법에 대한 체계적 분석 시도가 아직까지는 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 시도교육청 산하 발명 영재교육원의 교수-학습 사태를 분석하여 영재아의 특성에 부합하는 발명영재교육방법을 모색해 보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 VanTassel-Baska의 수업관찰 분석(COS-R)기법을 활용하여 발명영재교육 현장의 교수-학습 행위의 특징을 확인하였다. 그 결과 '교수 행위의 특징'은 교육과정 계획과 실행, 문제 해결력, 창의적 사고력 등이 높게 나타났다. 그 다음으로 연구방법, 비판적 사고력, 개인별 수준 고려 등의 순으로 나타났다. 그리고 교사의 교수 행위에 대한 '학생들의 반응 정도'는 문제 해결력, 비판적 사고력이 같은 비율로 높게 나타났고 그 다음으로 창의적 사고력, 일반적 수업 활동, 연구 방법, 개인별 수준 고려 순이었다. 두 영역 모두 개인별 수준 고려가 가장 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 이에 앞으로 발명 영재교육원의 발명 교수 학습 행위는 개인별 수준 고려와 발명 영재 탐구력과 창의적 사고력을 기를 수 있는 교수 학습 환경 제공이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

Content Modeling Based on Social Network Community Activity

  • The advancement of knowledge society has enabled the social network community (SNC) to be perceived as another space for learning where individuals produce, share, and apply content in self-directed ways. The content generated within social networks provides information of value for the participants in real time. Thus, this study proposes the social network community activity-based content model (SoACo Model), which takes SNC-based activities and embodies them within learning objects. The SoACo Model consists of content objects, aggregation levels, and information models. Content objects are composed of relationship-building elements, including real-time, changeable activities such as making friends, and participation-activity elements such as "Liking" specific content. Aggregation levels apply one of three granularity levels considering the reusability of elements: activity assets, real-time, changeable learning objects, and content. The SoACo Model is meaningful because it transforms SNC-based activities into learning objects for learning and teaching activities and applies to learning management systems since they organize activities -- such as tweets from Twitter -- depending on the teacher's intention.

A Study on Cultural Learning Through Cultural Comparison Activities: Focusing on Learner Perception

  • The aims of this study were to introduce cultural teaching procedures and propose cultural comparison activities as a practical method of cultural learning. It also analyzed learners' attitudes toward cultural learning through the aforementioned activities and examined considerations for holding cultural classes in the future. The research involved conducting a class underlain by four stages: warm-up, a cultural item comparison activity, wrap-up, and opinion submission. Data were collected through self-opinion journals and open-ended questionnaires, after which they were qualitatively analyzed. The results showed that the learners were highly satisfied with cultural learning through cultural comparison activities (73.7%) because of the efficiency of such a learning method, opportunities for proactive learning through interaction, increased interest and motivation, and the fact that it helps them understand their own cultures. We need to develop activities that enable learners to participate in a variety of ways through the mutual exchange of opinions when planning cultural classes. Pedagogical implications for integrated language and cultural classes are provided.
