As a special type of mobile ad-hoc network, Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) is considered as an attractive topic by many researchers. In VANETs, vehicles act as routers and clients, which are connected with each other through unreliable wireless links. Due to the dynamic nature of vehicles, developing communication protocols for VANETs is a challenging task. In this paper, we tackle the problem of real-world VANET operations and propose a new dual-level communication scheme through the combination of power and rate control algorithms. Based on the game theoretic approach, the proposed scheme effectively formulates the interactive situation among several vehicles. With a simulation study, it is confirmed that the proposed scheme can achieve better performance than other existing schemes under widely diverse VANET environments.

In this paper we present a static performance estimation technique of on-chip bus architectures. The proposed technique requires the static scheduling of function blocks of a task to analyze bus conflicts caused by simultaneous accesses from processing elements to which function blocks are mapped. To apply it to multitask applications, the concurrent execution of the function blocks of different tasks also should be considered. Since tasks are scheduled independently, considering all cases of concurrency in each processing element is impractical. Therefore we make an average estimate on the effects of other tasks with respect to bus request rate and bus access time. The proposed technique was incorporated with our exploration framework for on-chip bus architectures, Its viability and efficiency are validated by a preliminary example.

Recently, in addition to greening of roof and artificial soil, Rootproofing to prevent damage to the waterproof layer and structures by roots is recognized as an important task. Therefore, various related products and construction methods have been developed and applied in the field. However, in the case of synthetic polymer-based sheets most commonly used in domestic construction sites, Most are produced using 100% new materials that are not suitable for green trends such as resource conservation and environmental protection. Therefore, in this study, we developed TPO sheet using recycled material, which is a technology that can secure eco-friendliness by utilizing recycled resources. As a result of the evaluation of tensile performance of the TPO sheet according to the recycled material content, The tensile strength of the specimens with the recycled content of 50 ~ 70% was the highest, The elongation rate of the specimen with the recycled content of 30 ~ 40% was the best.
The pole filtering concept has been successfully applied to cepstral feature normalization techniques for noise-robust speech recognition. In this paper, it is proposed to apply the pole filtering selectively only to the speech intervals, in order to further improve the recognition performance for short utterances in noisy environments. Experimental results on AURORA 2 task with clean-condition training show that the proposed selectively pole-filtered cepstral mean normalization (SPFCMN) and selectively pole-filtered cepstral mean and variance normalization (SPFCMVN) yield error rate reduction of 38.6% and 45.8%, respectively, compared to the baseline system.

In this paper, we propose group Manchester code (GM) modulation scheme for medical in-body wireless body area network (WBAN) systems. In IEEE, the WBAN system is assigned as 802.15. Task Group 6 (TG 6), and the related standardization is being progressed, Recently, in this Group, group pulse position modulation (GPPM), which can obtain data rate increase by grouping pulse position modulation (PPM) symbols, is proposed as a new modulation scheme for low-power operation of WBAN system. However, the conventional method suffers from BER performance degradation due to the absence of gray coding and its demodulation characteristics. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a modified GM scheme which groups Manchester code instead of PPM. In the proposed GM scheme, a low-complexity maximum likelihood (ML) demodulation method is employed in order to maximize the BER performances, Also, log likelihood ratio (LLR) decision method is proposed to employ the Turbo code as forward error correction (FEC), Finally, we verified that the proposed method has a good performance and is an appropriate scheme for in-body WBAN system through extensive performance evaluation.

The purpose of this study is to gather background data of teacher's performance of the fisheries and shipping industries high schools. This data will provide direction for advancing teacher's performance of the fisheries and shipping business high school,s by investigating and analyzing variables related to teacher's performance. This study focused on the opinions of thirty teachers within the fisheries and shipping business high schools. The conclusions of the study were as follows: First, teachers continually seek goal achievement, rewarding jobs, and a feeling of self-worth. However, it was found that male teachers have stronger task performing ability and form stronger relationships with their partners than female teachers. Second, it was shown that teachers have a much higher percentage of ability to teach. Particularly, male teachers are generally higher than female teacher. Third, it was shown that teachers have a much higher percentage of ability to teach, but it is required that they both get equal participation opportunity as there is a little difference between male teachers and female teachers. Fourth, it was found teachers exhibited a lower percentage rate of ability to manage activities, and required further development of programs for expansion of professionalism of this field.
It's a challenging task to design a high performance modulation for satellite and space communications due to the limited power and bandwidth resource. Constant envelope modulation is an attractive scheme to be used in such cases for their needlessness of input power back-off about 2~3 dB for avoidance of nonlinear distortion induced by high power amplifier. The envelope of Feher quadrature phase shift keying (FQPSK) has a least fluctuation of 0.18 dB (quasi constant envelope) and can be further improved. This paper improves FQPSK by defining a set of new waveform functions, which changes FQPSK to be a strictly constant envelope modulation. The performance of the FQPSK adopting new waveform is justified by analysis and simulation. The study results show that the novel FQPSK is immune to the impact of HPA and outperforms conventional FQPSK on bit error rate (BER) performance. The BER performance of this novel modulation is better than that of FQPSK by more than 0.5 dB at least and 2 dB at most.
Purpose - This study analyzes the situational relationship between the components of job crafting and innovation performance, and based on this, suggests practical alternatives to the effect of the control variables of organizational support. Design/methodology/approach - For this survey, 350 questionnaires were distributed to Korean SME workers from October 5, 2020 to March 20, 2021, and 230 questionnaires were collected. In order to check the validity of the questionnaire, the questionnaire judged to be inappropriate in response was excluded. The recovery rate was 65.7%, and the effectiveness of the questionnaire was 82%. Structural equation model and hierarchical regression analysis are used to analyze those data. Findings - First, job enhancement through job redesign as well as organizational support is a key task in order to expect innovative results from field members. Innovative performance is not created by individual jobs, but is created between jobs and jobs, tasks and tasks, teams and teams, and departments and departments. This is why it is worth paying attention not to the functional approach, but to the interconnection structure of the process. Research implications or Originality - In this study, it was analyzed that structural job resource increase and social job resource increase, which are components of job crafting, had a positive effect on innovation performance, and that challenging job will had no significant effect. Challenging work will itself does not negatively affect innovation performance. Combining the survey and interview, field members who make up the majority of respondents say that they do not lack the will to work. They claim that there is no channel or opportunity to express or practice a challenging will.
Purpose: The study was investigated to identify the relationship between nursing workload and aseptic technique performance by clinical nurses, and to decrease the incidence rate of nosocomial infection. Methods: Participants (N=283) were recruited in B city from April to June 2007. The data were collected by a structured questionnaire and analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results: Nursing workload was rated 9.85 out of a total score of 15. The level of aseptic technique performance as the basis for insertion of a Foley catheter was 42.72 out of a total score of 50, and as basis for insertion of intravenous catheter for fluid therapy was 40.11 out of a total score of 55. There was not a significant relationship between aseptic technique performance and nursing workload. There was a significant positive relationship between the aseptic technique performance in insertion of Foley catheter and that of intravenous catheter for fluid therapy (r=.279, p<.001). Conclusions: Attention to asepsis by nurses is crucial in nosocomial infection-related clinical nursing skills.

This paper introduces a novel modulation scheme for vehicular communication in taking advantage of existing LED lights available on a car. Our proposed 2-Phase Shift Keying (2-PSK) is a spatial modulation approach in which a pair of LED light sources in a car (either rear LEDs or front LEDs) is used as a transmitter. A typical camera (i.e. low frame rate at no greater than 30fps) that either a global shutter camera or a rolling shutter camera can be used as a receiver. The modulation scheme is a part of our Image Sensor Communication proposal submitted to IEEE 802.15.7r1 (TG7r1) recently. Also, a neural network approach is applied to improve the performance of LEDs detection and decoding under the noisy situation. Later, some analysis and experiment results are presented to indicate the performance of our system
