유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 안정적인 미동 탐색 제어를 위한 속도 외란 추정 시스템 (A Velocity Disturbance Estimation System for the Stable Fine Seek Control Using a Genetic Algorithm)

  • This paper presents a velocity disturbance estimation system for the stable fine seek control using a genetic algorithm. To estimate accurately the velocity disturbance in spite of the uncertainties of fine actuator, the system utilizes an objective function to minimize the differences of the frequency characteristics between the nominal velocity control loop and the extremal velocity control loops. The objective function is considered by applying a genetic algorithm and the velocity disturbance is estimated by the measurable velocity, the adjusted velocity controller, and the fine actuator model. The proposed velocity disturbance estimation system is applied to the fine seek control system of a DVD recording device and is evaluated through the experimental results.

  • An optical rotary encoder is easy to implement for automatic control applications. In particular, the output of the encoder has a digital form pulse, which is also easy to be connected to a popular digital controller. By using the encoder, there are various angular velocity detecting methods, M-, T-, and M/T-method. Each of them has a property of its own. They have common limitation that the angular velocity detection period is strongly subject to the destination velocity magnitude in case of ultimate low range. They have ultimate long detection period or cannot even detect angular velocity at near zero velocity. This paper proposes a dual encoder system with two encoders of normal resolution. The dual encoder system is able to keep detection period moderately at near zero velocity and even detects zero velocity within nominal period. It is useful for detecting velocity in case of changing rotational direction at which there occurs zero velocity. In this paper, various experimental results are shown for the dual encoder system validity.

  • In order to improve seismic safety of nuclear power plant (NPP) structures in high seismicity area, seismic isolation system can be adapted. In this study, friction pendulum system (FPS) is used as the seismic isolation system. According to Coulomb's friction theory, friction coefficient is constant regardless of bearing pressure and sliding velocity. However, friction coefficient under actual situation can be changed according to bearing pressure, sliding velocity and temperature. Seismic responses of friction pendulum system with constant friction and various velocity-dependent friction are compared. The velocity-dependent friction coefficients of FPS are varied between low-and fast-velocity friction coefficients according to sliding velocity. From the results of seismic analysis of FPS with various cases of friction coefficient, it can be observed that the yield force of FPS becomes larger as the fast-velocity friction coefficient becomes larger. Also, the displacement response of FPS becomes smaller as the fast-velocity coefficient becomes larger.

보행보조시스템의 조작 편리성 향상을 위한 사용자의 선속도 및 회전각속도 검출 알고리즘 (An Algorithm for Detecting Linear Velocity and Angular Velocity for Improve Convenience of Assistive Walking System)

  • 본 논문에서는 신체의 노화로 인해 보행활동이 제한되는 고령자가 사용하는 전동형 보행보조시스템의 조작 편리성 향상을 위해 기존의 조작 기법인 보행의지 기법과 융합이 가능한 보행상태 기법을 제안한다. 이것은 사용자가 핸들바를 파지하고 있는지 여부를 파악하고 그에 따라 사용자의 보행의지를 판별하는 단순 트리거 신호로 사용한다. 또한 보행의지 파악을 위한 사용자의 보행상태 확인은 레이저 거리 측정 장치를 사용하여 검출된 사용자의 선속도와 회전각속도를 보행보조시스템 중심의 선속도와 회전각속도로 사용한다. 이를 위해 사용자의 양측 다리 중심점을 추정하여 가상의 인체중심점 검출 기법을 제안한다. 실험은 보행자의 선속도 및 회전각속도와 보행 보조시스템 중심의 선속도 및 회전각속도를 비교 분석하는 실험을 진행하였다. 실험 결과, 사용자와 보행보조시스템 중심 간에 선속도와 회전각속도의 오차율은 각각 1%와 2.77%로 나타냈으며, 이는 사용자의 선속도와 회전각 속도를 보행보조시스템의 양측구동기, 속도산출기에 적용이 가능한 것으로 확인했다. 이를 통해 본 논문에서 제안하는 보행의지 기법과 보행상태 기법을 융합한다면 사용자가 보행보조시스템에 끌려가는 현상과 조작 미숙으로 인한 오작동 등이 예방 가능할 것으로 확인되었다.

빠른 바람의 세기 추적을 위한 프로펠러를 사용한 전자 관악기 취구의 선형 모델링 (Mouthpiece Modeling of the Electronic Wind Instrument Using a Propeller and Linear Analysis for Fast Tracking Wind Velocity)

  • 본 논문에서는 프로펠러를 사용한 전자관악기를 위한 취구의 모델링 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 프로펠러의 각속도에 의한 바람의 세기를 계산을 빠르게 하도록 풍속계의 방식을 이용한 것이다. 풍속계의 경우에, 바람의 세기가 프로펠러의 각속도에 비례한다는 속성을 이용하여 바람의 세기를 계산한다. 하지만, 프로펠러의 각속도로부터 기대하는 바람의 세기가 계산되기까지 과도시간이 있기 때문에, 바람의 세기와 프로펠러의 각속도는 일대일대응이 아니다. 이 문제를 개선하기 위하여, 풍속계를 선형 시스템으로 해석하여, 그 시스템의 임펄스 응답과 프로펠러의 각속도를 디컨벌루션하여 바람의 세기를 추정한다. 실험으로 제안된 시스템의 타당성을 입증하기 위하여, 모터와 프로펠러, 엔코더로 구성된 취구 모델을 디자인하였다. 이 방법으로 바람의 세기를 추정한 결과는 이 시스템이 기존의 풍속계의 방법 보다 8배 빠른 시스템을 보여주었다.

  • Generally, the system of calculation for the multi-path ultrasonic flow meters can be divided into two methods by how to get the mean velocity, namely, weighting and direct method. Weighting-method derive the mean velocity through modeling in theoretical velocity profile. Direct-method derive the mean velocity though actual flow distribution. The system of calculation varies with maker's transducer configuration and integration method. Each system has merits and demerits. This paper describes the system of integration that calculates line velocity over cross-section of the circular pipe. Flow rate mr discussed in this paper is a difference between theoretical flow rate and integrated flow rate according to values of Reynolds number in symmetric flow field or theoretical flow rate and integrated flow rate according to rotated model in asymmetric flow field.

분자동역학법에 의한 기체분자의 속도분포에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Velocity Distribution of Gas Molecules by the Molecular Dynamics Method)

  • The velocity distribution of gas molecules from the experimental results was confirmed as the same with the Maxwell-Boltzmann's theoretical results within the experimental error. This study is on the realization of the Maxwell-Boltzmann's velocity distribution of gas molecules by the molecular dynamics(MD) method. The Maxwell-Boltzmann's velocity distribution of gas molecules is extremely important to confirm the equilibrium state because the properties of a thermodynamic system shall be obtained from the system's equilibrium configuration in the MD method. This study is the first trial in the successive researches to calculate the properties of a thermodynamic system by the computer simulations. We confirmed that the maxwell-boltzmann's velocity distribution is developed in some transient time after starting a simulation and dependent on the size of a system. Also it is found that the velocity distribution has no relation with an initial configuration of gas molecules.

  • In this paper, a multi-velocity log system which uses ultrasonic pulsed doppler signal is developed. The output of the system is the absoluted velcocity of the ship. By using digitral signal processing, we get the vector velocity which displays the ship's speed about fore, aft, port and starboard. And this system give us the information about depth. This multi-velocity system has a large merit that is bottom and water track velocity. In addition, this has the high accuracy and can measure the water-depth according to the deep mode. And the fish finder, echo sounder or docking system will be made by applying the speed log system.

지역별 기본풍속과 공사기간을 반영한 시스템 동바리 설계 풍하중 분석 (Analysis of Design Wind Load Level for System Supports Considering Local Basic Wind Velocity and Construction Period)

  • This study evaluated wind loads considering a local basic wind velocity and construction periods to define the level of applied wind loads for system supports. Structural responses of system supports were examined and compared to those of system supports with the level of wind loads following various standards and specifications for permanent and temporary structures. And, the maximum combined stress ratios were estimated to evaluate the structural safety of a considered system support. From results, it was found that the wind load level should be applied in accordance with construction periods when estimating the safety of system supports. Looking into the response by change of the basic wind velocity according to local regions, it is no need to consider wind loads in regions with the basic wind velocity of 30 m/s. However, it was analyzed that wind loads should be considered in the regions with the basic wind velocity of 40 m/s or above. In addition, wind loads should be considered in designing system supports located at the region with the basic wind velocity of 35 m/s starting from construction period of 1.5 years. The standard specification for temporary work was analyzed as an incorrect standard in evaluating wind loads, since it underestimated the response of system supports in accordance with the local basic wind velocity and construction periods.

Infeed Control Algorithm of Sorting System Using Modified Trapezoidal Velocity Profiles

  • This paper applies acceleration/deceleration control-based velocity profiles to an infeed control algorithm for a cross-belt-type sorting system to improve the accuracy and performance of the system's infeed. The velocity profiles are of a trapezoidal shape and often have to be modified to ensure that parcels correctly synchronize with their intended carriers. Under the proposed method, an infeed line can handle up to 5,600 items/h, which indicates a 40% increase in performance in comparison with its existing handling rate of 4,000 items/h. This improvement in performance may lead to a reduction in the number of infeed lines required in a sorting system. The proposed infeed control algorithm is applied to a cross-belt-type sorting system (model name: SCS 1500) manufactured by Vanderlande Industries.
