  • Generally the method of depth controlling is classified into buoyancy control and thrust control. In this study, we employed thrust control system. And mathematical modeling and computer simulation are performed in order to design auto depth control system for underwater vehicle. Consequently, the specifications of components are determined, and the performance of system is analyzed.

  • The necessity of the new system development arises in both defence and commercial systems industry either when a breakthrough in technology needs to be realized in the form of a brand-new system or when the existing product already in operation needs to be upgraded to satisfy the increasing stakeholder's requirements. In the latter case, it is not rare that specific system technical specifications on the existing products are not available. The purpose of this study is to investigate how to handle the difficulty when an upgraded system is required to be developed based on the existing product whose detailed technical specifications cannot be obtained. A step-by-step process is described based on the reverse engineering of the existing product. As a result, a logical system model is obtained for the product. The process developed is further enhanced and evaluated by the computer-aided system engineering tool. The resulting logical system model should be helpful in the next phase of the new product development.

  • This study is focused on the layout design with sizing for the main propulsion shafting with controllable pitch propeller system. For appropriate design and successful manufacturing of controllable pitch Propeller system, it is based on specifications to be required from the customer as well as the stresses calculation and analysis of main propulsion system for hollow shafting. And it must be performed according to the U.S military specifications MIL-STD-2189(SH) with drawing of NAVSHIPS 803-2145807, and also the stress analysis by applying safety factor. The results are as follows : 1. For the main propulsion system with controllable pitch propeller, it is designed the following items propeller diameter, hub diameter, dimensions of oil distribution or actuating unit based on shaft mounting type, diameters of propeller and intermediate shaft, dimension of split muff coupling, coupling flange thickness and of coupling bolt diameter. 2. As the results, we can get complete our own design ability for the main propulsion shafting with controllable pitch propeller system with critical data which are necessary to establish shafting arrangement from the ship building companies.

목적과 사양이 다른 다양한 인간 친화 로봇에 적용하기 위한 감성 행동 생성 방법 및 범용성 실험 (Emotional Behavior Decision Method and Its Experiments of Generality for Applying to Various Social Robot Systems)

  • 감성 행동을 표현하는 것은 인간 친화 로봇의 필수 요소 중 하나이다. 하지만 감성 행동은 로봇의 목적이나 사양에 따라서 달라지기 때문에 감성 행동을 생성하고 표현하는 방법은 로봇마다 다르다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 로봇의 목적이나 사양에 상관없이 다양한 인간 친화 로봇에 적용될 수 있는 감성 행동 생성 방법을 제안한다. 먼저 감성 행동 생성 방법의 입력 값으로 다중 감정값을 이용한다. 다중 감정 공간을 이용하여 각 감정이 독립적으로 존재할 수 있기 때문에 로봇의 목적에 따라 사용하고자 하는 감정을 취사선택할 수 있다. 로봇의 사양에 따라서 표현할 수 있는 방법이 다르므로, 로봇의 표현 부위를 나누고, 각 표현 부위별로 표현할 수 있는 행동을 데이터화한다. 이렇게 나누어진 행동들을 단위 행동이라고 정의하며, 각 단위 행동이 표현할 수 있는 감정에 대한 반영도를 결정한다. 그리고 이를 이용하여 주어진 다중 감정값에 최적화된 단위 행동 조합을 결정한다. 이 과정을 사양과 목적이 다른 사이버 로봇 시뮬레이터, 3D 캐릭터 헤드 로봇, 기계적인 설계 기반의 헤드 로봇 등에 적용함으로써 제안한 방법의 범용성을 실험한다.

유사도 측정 기법을 이용한 효율적인 요구 분석 지원 시스템의 구현 (Implementation of an Efficient Requirements Analysis supporting System using Similarity Measure Techniques)

  • 소프트웨어가 점점 복잡해지고 대형화됨에 따라서 사용자의 요구가 매우 다양해지고 있으며, 제품에 대한 기대 수준도 높아지고 있다. 그러므로, 사용자의 요구 사항을 정확히 분석하여 효과적으로 개발 단계에 적용하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 자연어로 표현되는 요구 사항 문서의 분석 시에 나타나는 오류를 효과적으로 줄이고, 수정하는데 사용될 수 있는 요구 분석 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 문서간 유사도 측정에 의해서 문서간의 의존성(dependency) 분석을 지원하고 문장간 유사도 측정에 의해서 요구 사항간의 연계성(traceability), 중복성(redundancy), 불일치성(inconsistency), 그리고 불완전성(imcompleteness)을 발견하는 것을 지원한다. 또한 모호한 문장을 추출하여 요구사항의 불명확성 (ambiguity)을 발견하는 기능도 제공한다. 문서간 유사도 측정을 위해서 사용된 색인 방법은 슬라이딩 윈도우 모델과 의존 구조 모델을 결합한 것으로 각 모델이 가지는 단점을 효과적으로 보완할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 문서간, 문장간 유사도 측정 기법의 효율성을 실험을 통해 검증하였으며 구현된 시스템을 통해 분석 처리되는 과정을 보여주고 있다.

상태기반정비 요구도 국방규격 반영에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Reflection of Condition-Based Maintenance Requirement in the Defense Specification)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to suggest weapon system specifications for requirements of Condition-Based Maintenance(CBM/CBM+). Methods: The military documents and case studies with regard to condition-based maintenance were reviewed. Representative Korea defense specifications of weapon system such as an aircraft, a C4ISR etc. were analyzed and investigated the level of requirement for maintainability was. Results: Condition-based maintenance was defined in both U.S. instruction and Korean directive. While deparment of defense(U.S.) provide a guidebook for CBM+, detailed instruction was not sufficient for Korean. Ministry of national defense(ROK) define the CBM+ by means of IPS element which should be developed along with the system development. The maintainability was barely included in Korean defense specifications, except for BIT(Built-in test) function. As a first step for defining the condition-based maintenance requirement in defense specification, this study suggests a standard form for data needed to acquire according to types of system, fault, failure, and so on. Conclusion: The empirical researches on CMB/CBM+ with domestic weapon systems are not enough, and a logic which leads the maintenance strategy to CMB/CBM+ is not solved. Through technical researches and institutional improvements including this study, we hope that condition-based maintenance would be fully established in the Korean defense field.

풍력발전용 피치 드라이브 시스템의 복합 유성기어류에 대한 피로 강도해석 (Fatigue Strength Analysis of Complex Planetary Gear Train of the Pitch Drive System for Wind Turbines)

  • Wind energy is considered as the most competitive energy source in terms of power generation cost and efficiency. The power train of the pitch drive for a wind turbine uses a 3-stage complex planetary gear system in being developed locally. A gear train of the pitch drive consists of an electric or hydraulic motor and a planetary decelerator, which optimizes the pitch angle of the blade for wind generators in response to the change in wind speed. However, it is prone to many problems, such as excessive repair costs in case of failure. Complex planetary gears are very important parts of a pitch drive system because of strength problem. When gears are designed for the power train of a pitch drive, it is necessary to analyze the fatigue strength of gears. While calculating the specifications of the complex planetary gears along with the bending and compressive stresses of the gears, it is necessary to analyze the fatigue strength of gears to obtain an optimal design of the complex planetary gears in terms of cost and reliability. In this study, the specifications of planetary gears are calculated using a self-developed gear design program. The actual gear bending and compressive stresses of the planetary gear system were analyzed using the Lewes and Hertz equation. Additionally, the calculated specifications of the complex planetary gears were verified by evaluating the results from the Stress - No. of cycles curves of gears.

PXI 버스를 이용한 강인한 범용계측시스템 개발 (Development of Robust Embedded Measurement System by Using PXI Bus)

  • Many instrumentations have been used to acquire the performance data of military systems fer many years. But they could not satisfy environmental specifications(vibration, shock, temperature) and processing speed to apply for the performance test of military systems because of having developed as common vehicles/fixed installation equipments. Thus a new rugged embedded measurement system is required to process large data in high processing speed(Maximum sample rate:1.25Mhz/ch) with rugged environmental specifications. We have developed embedded measurement systems by using PXI(PCI extension for Instrumentation)bus interface composed of a stand alone controller and versatile data acquisition boards(analog, digital, vision, temperature and small signal conditioner) on PC-based environment to solve these problems. Operation programs have been developed using Lab_View and the performances have been validated experimentally.

Development of Verification and Conformance Test Generation of Communication Protocol for Railway Signaling Systems

  • Verification and testing are complementary techniques that are used to increase the level of confidence in the correct functioning of communication systems as prescribed by their specifications. This paper presents an experience of model checking for a formal railway signaling protocol specified in LTS (Labeled Transition System). This formal approach checks deadlock, livelock and reachability for the state and action to verify whether properties expressed in modal logic are true on specifications. We also propose a formal method for semi-automated test case generation for a railway signaling protocol described in I/O FSM (Input/Output Finite State Machine). This enables the generation of more complete and consistent test sequence for conformance testing. The above functions are implemented by C++ language and included within RSPVTE (Railway Signaling Protocol Verification and Testing Environment).
