익형의 기하학적 조건에 따른 축류팬의 성능에 관한 연구 (Effects of geometric conditions of blade on Performance of Axial Pan)

  • Axial fan is used for the supplement of large amount of flows. Axial blowers show relatively high efficiency of the system. The present model of axial fan is for cooling a condenser in an air-conditioning unit that exhibits tendency toward compact size. In order to realize the compact model, the width of an axial blade should be cut down in axial distance. Main interest lies on the performance of the axial blowing system with blades having shorter chord length. One of the important design parameters for axial fan is the shape of the blades of it. Design of blades includes the cross-sectional shape and its dimension, including the chord length. We consider two types of blades; one is NACA airfoil with normal chord length and the other is with shortening chord length by $10\%$ of normal airfoil. Axial blower with the modified blades is essential for the compact model of an air-conditioner. The other design parameters are same in the two cases. Using a wind tunnel follows ASHRAE standards carries out evaluation of performance of the system. Detail of flows around the blades is prepared by velocity measurements using PIV. According to performance estimation, the axial blower with short chord blade show quite close to the performance results, including flow rate and pressure rise, of the standard one. The reason of the two similar results is that the flowpatterns depend on Reynolds number based on the chord length of a blade. In this investigation, the critical chord length is found, in which the flows near the airfoil are so unstable and the performance of the system is decreased. 직렬아크현상의 검출기술 및 장치 (Detection Technique and Device of Series Arcing Phenomena)

  • 전력계통에서 아크현상이 원인이 되는 전기화재는 전기제품의 사용증가에 따라 급증하고 있으나, 이들 사고를 방지할 수 있는 확립된 방법은 없다. 이들 배경에서 본 논문은 공기조화기에서 직렬아크 검출 기술과 장치에 대한 실험적 결과에 대해 기술하였다. 공기조화기의 불완전한 접속부에서 발생하는 직렬아크를 모의하고, 주파수 스펙트럼을 FFT로 분석한 결과, 190 kHz~250 kHz와 900 kHz~1.6 MHz 에 존재함을 알 수 있었다. 저역차단주파수가 170 kHz이며 60 Hz를 176 dB까지 감쇄시킬 수 있는 아크검출 및 파형정형 회로를 설계하였다. 또한 스위치 조작, 인버터 운전 및 서지 등에 의해 발생하는 노이즈로부터 직렬아크신호를 분리할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 적용실험은 UL1699에 규정 되어있는 아크발생장치를 이용하여 여러 형태의 공기조화기에서 수행되었으며, 99 %이상 검출능력을 나타내었다.

승용자동차 전자제어 에어컨 장치의 다이오드, 써모센서와 배선단락에 대한 고장사례 고찰 (A Study for Faliure Examples Involved Diode, Thermo Sensor and Wiring Short of Electronic Control A/C System in a Vehicle)

  • 이 논문은 자동차의 전자제어 에어컨에서 발생하는 고장사례에 대한 논문이다. 첫 번째 사례에서, 원인은 에어컨 릴레이 내부에 서지 전압 역류 방지용으로 사용된 다이오드가 에어컨이 OFF 되었을 때 다이오드의 단락으로 인해, 서지 전압을 흡수하지 못해 퓨즈가 반복적으로 끊어진 것을 확인하였다. 두 번째 사례에서, 원인은 핀 써모센서 내부의 단선으로 인해 에어컨을 제어하지 못함으로써 이베퍼레이터의 동결현상이 발생한 것을 확인하였다. 세 번째 사례에서, 원인은 운전석 앞쪽의 크래쉬 패드 하단에 있는 와이어링의 에어컨 핀센서 핀과 연결되는 배선이 차체와의 간섭으로 인해, 피복이 벗져져 단락(short)현상에 의해 에어컨 스위치와 핀센서가 소손되어 에어컨이 작동하지 않는 것을 확인하였다. 따라서, 이러한 고장 현상을 철저하게 확인하고 개선하여 최적의 시스템을 유지할 수 있도록 하여야 한다.

가정용 전자기기의 잠재 상쇄 공급량 추정 (Estimation of Potential Supply of Offset from Household Electric Appliances)

  • 본 연구에서는 2015년부터 시행된 온실가스 배출권 거래제도에 맞추어 상쇄(offset)제도의 구체적인 설계가 필요한 시점에서, 가정부문의 고효율 전자기기의 보급을 통해 확보할 수 있는 잠재 상쇄 공급량을 추정하였다. 분석대상 품목은 TV, 세탁기, 선풍기, 냉장고, 에어컨 등 다섯 가지 가전기기이며, 자기회귀시차분포모형(ARDL)을 통해 2016년부터 2022년까지의 고효율 가전기기의 보급대수를 추정하고, 효율 개선을 통한 전기 절감량과 이에 따른 탄소 환산율을 통해 최종적으로 잠재 상쇄 공급량을 도출하였다. 고효율 가전기기의 에너지 절감률을 각각 10%와 20%로 가정했을 때 2022년에 누적된 탄소 저감량은 $361,899CO_2t$$723,797CO_2t$으로 나타났으며, 에너지 절감량이 큰 순서로는 에어컨, 냉장고, TV, 세탁기, 선풍기 순으로 나타났다. 또한 에너지 소비효율 1등급 가전기기의 에너지 절감률이 20%라고 가정했을 때, 누적 탄소 저감량이 2015년에 비해 2022년에 약 316% 증가하는 것으로 나타났다.

친환경소재인 항균동망 필터의 실내 부유 미생물 제거 연구 (The Removal of Indoor Suspended Microorganisms of Eco-friendly Antimicrobial Copper Net Filter)

  • 최근 현대인들의 삶이 윤택해질수록 실내공기질 (Indoor Air Qulity)의 개선이 강하게 요구되고 있다. 생물학적 공기 오염원(세균, 진균, 바이러스 등)의 제거를 위해서 UV/광촉매 장치 또는 오존발생장치, 항균물질의 도포와 같은 방법을 사용하고 있다. 추가 에너지 소모 또는 높은 부식성과 독성, 낮은 항균력 등의 단점을 가지고 있으며, 이를 보완하기 위하여 항균력을 가진 구리를 이용하여 필터를 제작하였다. 항균동 필터의 항균력 검증을 위하여 2종의 곰팡이 (P. pinophilum, C. globosum) 와 1종의 균 (S. aureus) 에 대한 항균력을 측정하였고, 부유미생물 제거능력을 챔버 단계부터 건물의 공조시설까지 단계별 시험을 실시하였다. 그 결과 2종의 곰팡이에 대해서는 24시간 후 100% 항균력을 나타내었고, 1종의 균에 대해서는 18시간 후 99.9% 항균력을 나타내었다. 단계별 부유미생물 제거능력에서는 챔버와 공기청정기를 이용한 시험에서 항균헤파필터보다 높은 항균력을 나타내었다. 건물의 공조시설을 이용한 시험에서는 공간이 밀폐되지 않았고 지속적인 가동을 하지 않았지만 설치 후 약 2주 후부터 항균 효과가 나타나는 것으로 확인하였다. 항균동 필터의 항균력 검증 결과 제작 방법 및 소재의 연구가 더욱 필요하지만 항균 필터로써 충분한 항균력을 가진 것으로 판단된다.

주거건물의 냉방 부하 패턴에 따른 구체축열시스템 운전 방안 (Operating Mode of Thermally Activated Building System (TABS) for Residential Buildings According to their Cooling Load Profile)

  • Compared to Packaged Terminal Air Conditioning Systems, Radiant Cooling Systems have the advantage of energy saving and thermal comfort. Thermally Activated Building System (TABS) is one of the radiant heating and cooling systems. The main difference between TABS and other radiant systems lies in the usage of the time-lag effect of storing heat energy in the concrete. Current energy usage in summer time is concentrated within a specific time by using Packaged Terminal Air-Conditioner (PTAC). Due to the time-lag effect of TABS, energy usage can be distributed to other time zones. To maximize this effect, it is important to determine the appropriate operating mode, which for TABS is dependent upon the cooling load generated by the occupancy schedule. In this study, occupancy schedules are determined for various residential types. The operating modes of TABS for these residential types are estimated by using a dynamic computational simulation method. The results indicate that the operating modes of TABS can be determined by residential type and occupancy schedule. The load handled ratio by TABS is set up differently according to the cooling load profile obtained from residential type and occupancy schedule. By using TABS, energy consumption could be reduced by 20% compared to PTAC.

천연가스 개조 승용차에 대한 실험적 연구(1) - 연비, 배기 및 주행 성능 (Experimental Study on Natural Gas Conversion Vehicle(1) - Fuel Economy, Emission and Roadability)

  • In this study, the roadability, fuel economy and emission characteristics were evaluated for a natural gas converted vehicle. The results are as follows; Not only the shortage of power was observed in stall test, but also large deterioration of acceleration performance was exposed in roadability. Compared to the original LPG system, the acceleration is 76% in start acceleration and 45 ~ 65% in overtaking acceleration, especially the decline became larger when air conditioner is at work. Furthermore, because the mapping data, which controls the injection depending on driving condition, do not match up with injection system, the failure of air-fuel ratio feedback control occurs resulting from the large gap between the required and the really supplied amount of fuel. This failure cause the exhaust gas to emit without catalytic conversion and the fuel economy based on the fuel heat value to get worse 22% in the mode test and 16% in road test respectively. In addition, the existing injection system does not secure enough fuel at the starting so that it may lead to the fail of clod start, the deterioration of hot start and inharmonic of engine at the idle after start.

Effect of plasma polymerized film on fouling of heat exchangers

  • To reduce the fouling of heat exchangers, the plasma polymerized films was coated on the heat exchangers, and an effect of plasma polymerized film on fouling of heat exchangers was investigated. Monomer and reactive gases were used as the precursors of plasma polymerization. Plasma polymerized films were deposited with process parameters of pressure, power, and ratio of gases. Plasma polymerized films could be served as functional layers of good wettability and high resistance to corrosion. Wettability of plasma polymerized film could be controlled by the ratio change gas mixture. Hydrophilicity of plasma polymerized films on heat exchanger in air conditioner can provide improvement in performance of heat exchanger which results from good water drainage, decrease of pressure drop. DC-plasma polymerized films improve resistance to corrosion whcih is related to deposit formation in heat exchangers. The difference in the build up of fouling deposits between bare substrate and plasma polymerized substrate was investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). An effect of plasma polymerized film on fouling of heat exchangers was discussed in terms of surface properties such as wettability, surface chemical state.

은나노 공조시스템의 열교환기 설계를 위한 노즐의 분무특성 실험 (An Experimental Study on Nozzle Spray Characteristics for the Design of Heat Exchangers of a Nano-Silver HVAC System)

  • Growing attention has been given to sterilizing and antibacterial effects of nano-silver, recently. Nano-silver solution can be applied to the heat exchanger in an air conditioner to prevent bad smell or bacteria. The present study is directed at the nozzle spray characteristics over a heat exchanger. This problem is of particular interest in the design of a nano-silver HVAC system. The effects of nozzle position and flow rate on the spray area over a horizontal surface have been investigated for various nozzles. The results obtained indicate that spray area is increased as the height of spray position is increased or mass flow rate is increased. The wetted area over a practical heat exchanger is also studied at a given nozzle height. It is found that the wetted area is gradually increased with an increase in the flow rate. However, the effect of flow rate on the wetted area is a little affected by flow rate in the range of too much flow rate. It is also found that the wetted area is decreased as the inclination angle of a heat exchanger is increased.

단상유도전동기의 돌입전류저감을 위한 제어기 설계 (Design of Controller for Reducing In-Rush Current of Single-Phase Induction Motor)

  • During an AC motor's start-up accelerating period, a large amount of current is required to reach to the rating speed. This is called in-rush current. This peak in-rush current can be more than about several times the operating or steady-state current in the full load rating of the motor. In-rush current is present in both and electronic ballasts. The main area of concern is the tripping of circuit breaker and fuses which can affect electrical system components From this, we can see that the electrical power controllers will be rather concerned, since they have to supply the actual current necessary to start the motor. This paper presents a new method to reducing in-rush current and energy saving of the single-phase induction motor used in air-conditioner. It can be obtained that proposed system is low cost and small size as compared with other controller. Experiments are focused on a capacitor starting single-phase induction motor. The optimal power saving and in-rush current limiting by phase angle control are verified by experimental results. Also, auxiliary winding was controlled by electronic starting switch.
