This study aims to analyze the factors of the extra-curricula area in personal school performance record and propose the practical strategies for entrance examination affairs on this area. To address this goal, we have applied a SWOT analysis with related documents and research results. We found out five strengths: (S1) Link the students' experience to right people for the university, (S2) Quantitative Indicators, (S3) Qualitative Indicators, (S4) Link to other evaluation factors, and (S5) Analysis of Human Resource. The weakness included: (W1) Fairness, (W2) Reliability, (W3) Difficulties to set standards, (W4) Difficulties to set environments, and (W5) Lack of systemic experience of an evaluation. We also discovered five opportunities (O1) Recognition of public education, (O2) The need of national support, (O3) The importance of autonomy, (O4) Specialization, and (O5) Networks. Finally, threat factors consisted of: (T1) Frequent change of educational policy, (T2) Increasing of private education, (T3) Lack of information and preparation time, and (T4) The accuracy and reliability of personal school records. Based on these results, we suggested practical strategies with these four dimensions: S-O, W-O, S-T, and W-T.

PURPOSES : This study suggests the application of glow line marking technology for reducing traffic accidents at nighttime. METHODS : In this study, using a statistical analysis, we analyzed the characteristics of traffic accidents occurring at nighttime. Next, the strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat (SWOT) factors were derived based on a current-status analysis of glow line marking technology and road environments. An SO strategy, ST strategy, WO strategy, and WT strategy were established in accordance with the four SWOT factors. RESULTS : This study suggests that the following strategies should be promoted to apply glow line marking technology to a road environment: 1) an activation strategy for the technological development of glow line markings for a new paradigm in reducing traffic accidents, 2) a benefit enhancement strategy applying glow line marking technology in places where nighttime traffic accidents frequently occur, 3) a strategy for the expansion of glow line marking by replacing streetlights, and 4) a strategy for enhancing road applications through the development of various line marking methods in consideration of both performance and costs. CONCLUSIONS : The application of glow line markings in a road environment can contribute to a reduction of traffic accidents at nighttime, and aid energy savings from the replacement of streetlights.

This paper explores community-based flood disaster risk governance by applying a sensemaking approach. The conceptual sensemaking framework consists of individual experience, dialogue, and socialization components, which together comprise an interconnected system. This study presents a method for applying this framework by using a concerns table and a SWOT analysis to examine the concerns of residents living in a flood plain. A series of community-based workshops on flood risk reduction was conducted with residents of the flood-prone Muraida community in Shiga Prefecture, Japan. During the workshops, residents' concerns regarding flood risk surfaced. This study used an idiographic approach to examine the proceedings of the workshops. SWOT issue analysis was used to examine the strengths and weaknesses in the Muraida community's internal capacities, and examine the opportunities and threats in the external capacities (e.g., local government). Additionally, a SWOT strategy analysis was conducted to identify strategies for knowledge sharing and development of cooperative countermeasures that can be undertaken between the Muraida community and the local government. The results show that the concerns table can not only summarize the main concerns of all workshops, but also provide an understanding of alternative flood risk countermeasures that can be carried out.

Purpose - This study is aim to stimulate ESG management of SMEs in Korea with SWOT analysis. Presently, ESG is also affecting a company's supply chain and sales. We tried to make the complementary point of Korea SMEs through domestic and foreign cases. Design/methodology/approach - We divide foreign cases into three countries, and in Korea, also divide into three groups of government, major companies, SMEs to conduct SWOT analysis. Findings - We confirmed that ESG activities were delayed in Korea compared to overseas, but the government and major companies were responding quickly. However, SMEs are complaining of difficulties in ESG activities due to cost issues and limited information. Nevertheless, some SMEs companies show the possibility by carrying out ESG activities based on their own strengths. Research implications or Originality - We suggested the need for SMEs' ESG management. The SMEs are inevitably vulnerable to ESG management compared to other groups. Therefore, We suggested the direction of SMEs ESG management expansion, that are R&D and distribution of eco-friendly activities through collaboration with universities(E), social program to improve working places(S), and expansion of governance that guarantees autonomy(G).

RFID has fundamental influences on today's business management. This research seeks to formulate the opportunities and challenges, the strengths and weaknesses and the perceived benefits of RFID implementation in three industries: manufacturing, medical-service, and distribution. Ten companies of successful RFID deployment in Korea are presented. Field interview and panel discussion were used to explore the research purpose. The core challenges include RFID readability issues, lack of best practices, increasing prime cost, visible ROI, implementation cost, and employee's resistance. The strengths include IT infrastructure, system integration competency, RFID business model creation ability, executive's support. There is little weakness in Korea companies, there are many perceived benefits in three industries. The most distinctive finding is that the visible ROI was found out in the manufacturing industry, not in the distribution industry. The opportunities and challenges, the strengths and weaknesses and the perceived benefits are some different in three industries, which provide valuable guidance for Korean companies in seeking the RFID opportunities. This case study represents a pioneer research of RFID adoption in Korea.

The u-Learning just begins to emerge as the next-generation knowledge-based business. Since it has a great potential to become a high value-added industry, there is much attention paid in this field. In this work, we first summarized the concept of the u-Learning where the architecture of various u-learning areas has been identified. Then we investigated the current status and problems of the u-Learning industry. Through the SWOT analysis, we have extracted the political strategies that will be essential for the rapid industrialization of u-Learning which will, in turn, contribute much to enhance the competitiveness of national economy.

한국섬유산업은 위기에 직면하고 있으며, 해외진출이 증가하고 있다. 한국 섬유산업에 있어서 세 번째 교역군인 인도네시아는 한국의 직접투자액이 5위로 한국의 해외진출이 활발한 국가이다. 본 연구는 한국 섬유원단업체가 인도네시아로 진출하기 위한 발전 전략을 제시하고자 한다. 먼저, 문헌연구와 전문가 회의를 통해 인도내시아 사정을 고려한 섬유업체의 SWOT 대표요인들을 도출하였다. 이들간 우선순위를 도출하기 위해 AHP 분석을 시행하여, SWOT 요인들의 최종가중치와 우선순위를 도출하였다.

The purpose of this study is to build new management strategy of special libraries in the field of science and technologies. Though information service of digital libraries were developed very much due to IT technologies, management condition of special libraries is getting more worse. Immediate cause of this problem is absence of management strategies which were veiled by IT panacea. In order to overcome this problem, this study looks into the internal and external environment change which are surrounded by special libraries. And also examined procedures and method of environment analysis which is needed to build management strategies. As the result of research, this study analyze internal and external environment by SWOT analysis method, and finally propose new management strategies.

The Hunchun area is the only development and opening line in Jilin Province and the Changchun-Jilin-Tumen Developmental Plan area, and as a hub area for regional logistics, promoting the logistics competitiveness of the Hunchun area is an important factor in promoting economic development in the Northeast region. The purpose of this study is to derive the factors for activating logistics competitiveness in Hunchun area by applying SWOT analysis and to present them to policy-makers by drawing priority of factors for promoting logistics competitiveness in Hunchun area through AHP survey of Chinese and Korean logistics experts. According to the analysis, the weighting was high in order of opportunity factors and strength factors, and the priority was high in order of factors such as promotion and expansion of One Belt, One Road policies, active support through national policies, construction of international logistics center cities, construction of logistics centers, and supply of bulk cargo. Finally, from a comprehensive perspective, this study presented policy implications such as SO Strategy (Strength-Occupancy Strategy) and ST Strategy (Strength-War Strategy) focusing on the strengths of the Hunchun Region for the strategy of strengthening the logistics competitiveness of the Hunchun area.

Construction Project Information System, which has promoted to improve the system during the past five years, is recently required to revise the new Roadmap of this system based on the rapidly changing construction industry's environment. For this reason, the present study was investigated the present condition of construction information, drawn CSF using SWOT method, presented the project direction, strategy, the priority plan, the specific task, and WBS by taskes. This Roadmap may be used to a basis data in measuring the result of construction informatization, and presented to the progress direction of information system in construction field.
