The purposes of this study were to investigate the actual condition and to deal with the psychological characteristics of computer addicted adolescent using the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI). The subjects of this study were 407(male 185, female 222) 2nd grade students in senior high school in Daegu. All participant were evaluated on the basis of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) and the upgraded Computer Addiction Inventory (CAI) scale which referred to the Young's Internet Addiction Self Diagnosis Scale and the Mind Test's Came Addiction. SPSS version 10.0 was used for data analysis. The scores of F, Hs, D, Pd, Pa, Pt, Sc of the MMPI scales showed that there were statistically significant differences between computer addicted adolescents and non-addicted adolescents. The rate of addicted adolescents was significantly higher than that of non-addicted adolescent in psychological problematic score ranges in the scales. The characteristics of the scores of computer addiction adolescents were similar to those of alcohol and drug addicts in the scales of D, Pd, and Pt. This survey revealed that the psychological disorders suffered by computer addiction adolescents may cause more serious social problems than alcohol and drug addicts.
Purpose: This paper compares and discusses the influence on the quality classification of Kano's questionnaire which is used for the Kano model(Kano et al., 1984), the 3-point Likert-scale newly proposed by Kano and the 5-point Likert-scale presented in this study. Methods: For the comparison, the current study conducts a survey of 631 television viewers. The classification results of the three methods are then compared with those of direct classification which is adopted as a standard for classification of quality attributes. Results: The agreement rates between the results using conventional Kano's questionnaire and the results using direct classification is higher than the results using 3-point and 5-point Likert-scales. In addition, the attributes grouped as must-be or attractive in the direct classification appear to be classified as one-dimensional attributes in the Likert-scales. Conclusion: In comparison with the convensional Kano's questionnaire, the Likert-scale questions highly tend to classify the quatity attributes as one-dimensional. Although the classification results of the 3-point and 5-point Likert-scales are the same, the 5-point Likert-scale has the advantage to classify quality attributes in more detail.
Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the burden experienced by nursing personnel working irregular shifts in Greece and to conduct the first test of a Greek version of the Standard Shiftwork Index (SSI). Methods: A cross-sectional survey was carried out. The SSI was completed by 365 nurses and nursing assistants working shifts, including nights. Results: Female nursing personnel and those suffering from a chronic disease were most affected by working rotating shifts as they had elevated scores on the majority of the SSI scales, such as sleep, chronic fatigue, digestive and cardiovascular problems, general health questionnaire, cognitive and somatic anxiety, shift time satisfaction, engagement and disengagement strategies, languidity, flexibility, and neurotisicm. Nurses with longer working experience and those with family responsibilities also scored higher on some of the SSI scales, such as the sleep, shift time satisfaction, social and domestic disruption, disengagement strategies, morningness, and languidity scales. Conclusion: Shiftwork affects female nurses, those with chronic disease, older age, and domestic responsibilities more severely. Therefore management should take these factors into account when designing work schedules to alleviate the burden caused by shiftwork.

The survey questionnaire were given to 946 married - women in Seoul. For the statistical analysis frequency, percentage, mean, ANOVA, t-test and Factor analysis were used. T he major findings were as follows: 1. To evaluate the women's clothing, four major factors were obtained and it was found that women evaluated quite differently their dresses with Korean and western styles. 2. The major evaluating factor of Korean dress was aesthetic aspect and on the other hand the main factor of western dress was functional aspect.
Recently a number of social surveys on community response to environmental noises have been conducted to summarize response relationship obtained from different areas. Some problems have been pointed out in comparing the result of surveys using verbal scales with different number of categories. ICBEN (International Commission on Biological Environment of Noise) Team 6 planned a international joint study and constructed comparable standardized noise annoyance scales using the same method. In Korea the survey was conducted in four areas such as Seoul, Taejon, Taegu, Kwangju. About 100 subjects participated in each area approximately. Finally five verbal annoyance were constructed as follows; 1 (Jeonhyu), 2 (Jokm), 3 (Bikyojerk), 4 (Ajoo), 5 (Umcheongnage).
The objectives of this study were 1) to classify survey respondents according to vanity scales, and 2) to identify price attitude among the classified groups. The participants were 276 university students who were residents in Seoul. Data were analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, and one-way ANOVA. The vanity scales consisted of four factors; physical concern, physical view, achievement concern and achievement view. Based on these four factors, the respondents were classified into three clusters(interested, vain, and self-confident) as an attached group name. There were significant differences in the dimensions of materialism, price attitude and store choice behavior among the clusters. Marketing implications are discussed.
This study was conducted to develop a teaching competency scales customized for teaching programs conducted by Center for Teaching & Learning at A University. To achieve this purpose, a preliminary study was set up, which consists of three competency groups (basic competency, practice competency, innovation competency) and 26 learning competency factors through a review of previous studies. In order to verify the reliability and validity of the provisional teaching competency scales, an online survey was conducted on A university teachers in September 2020, The collected questionnaire data were organized and exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were conducted. As a result of exploratory factor analysis, 26 teaching competency was reduced to 17. As a result of the confirmatory factor analysis, the model was found to be good, Also, as a result of analyzing the construct reliability and AVE of the confirmed teaching competency factors, all 17 factors showed a good level of .7 or more. The teaching competency scales developed through this study can be used as basic data for performance evaluation and development of new programs of CTL teaching program.
Objectives: This work aimed to investigate differentiations of Korean medicine's pathological symptoms and SF-12 sub scales among normal, overweight and obese subjects from multi-center case report. Methods: From 2009 to 2011 survey were carried out to 1,589 subjects who took treatment or were hospitalized in 7 Korean medicine hospitals and 3 Korean medicine clinic. Survey include Korean medicine's pathological symptoms and SF-12. Whole survey were obtained from subjects with interviewers. Obesity degree was divided into three groups by body mass index: Normal group is from 18.5 below 23, overweight from 23 below 25 and obese group is over 25. Chi-square test was performed to reveal differentiation response rate of pathologic symptoms among obesity groups. ANOVA test was carried out for compare each group's SF-12 sub scales. Results: Patients of overweight or obesity have more symptoms such as skin itching, swelling, weakness in lower legs, and feverish with swollen joints. Contrary, normal weight group responded symptoms of dry skin more than those of obese group. As a fatigue, obese group have more fatigue feeling at afternoon and evening, compared to high frequency response of normal weight groups' morning fatigue. Obese groups shows low physical scores of health related quality of life, in contrast, high mental scores of that. Conclusions: This is first work of pathologic symptoms shown by obese groups. This would contribute to standardization of Korean medicine's pattern identification as suggestion of classification point for obese groups.
Background: At present, no short standard questionnaire exists for assessing and comparing major work organization hazards in the workplaces of the United States. Methods: We conducted a series of psychometric tests (content validity, factor analysis, differential-item functioning analysis, reliability, and concurrent validity) to validate and identify core items and scales for major work organization hazards using the data from the 2002-2014 General Social Surveys (GSSs), including the Quality of Worklife (QWL) questionnaire. In addition, an extensive literature review was undertaken to find other major work organization hazards which were not addressed in the GSS. Results: Although the overall validity of the GSS-QWL questionnaire was satisfactory in the psychometric tests, some GSS-QWL items of work-family conflict, psychological job demands, job insecurity, use of skills on the job, and safety climate scales appeared to be weak. In the end, 33 questions (31 GSS-QWL and 2 GSS) were chosen as the least, but best validated core questions and included in a new short standard questionnaire (called the Healthy Work Survey [HWS]). And their national norms were established for comparisons. Furthermore, based on the literature review, fifteen more questions for assessing other significant work organization hazards (e.g., lack of scheduling control, emotional demands, electronic surveillance, wage theft) were included in the new questionnaire. Thus, the HWS includes 48 questions in total for assessing traditional and emerging work organization hazards, which covers seven theoretical domains: work schedule/arrangement, control, support, reward, demands, safety, and justice. Conclusions: The HWS is a short standard questionnaire for assessing work organization hazards which can be used as a first step toward the risk management of major work organization hazards in the workplaces of the US.

This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of forest environment and therapeutic program to the patients with major depressive disorder in antidepressant medication. The first group participated the four sessions of therapeutic program in the forest environment ("forest therapy"), the second group did in the program in a hospital environment, the third group did merely walking in the forest ("forest bath"), and the last group was controls. All the participants was diagnosed with major depressive disorder and had been taking antidepressant medication longer than 3 months. Depressive symptoms were measured by the Hamilton Rating Scales for Depression(HRSD), Montgomery-Asberg Depressin Rating Scales(MADRS), Beck Depression Inventory(BDI), and general health perception was measured by Short Form Health Survey Questionnaire(SF-36). Heart rate variability(HRV) were also examined to observe the physiological parameters before and after the program. In the results, HRSD score of forest program group was significantly lower than controls after the program. MADRS score of forest therapy group and hospital program group was also significantly lower than controls after 4 sessions of the program. The remission rate defined as below 7 points in HRSD was higher in the forest therapy group, hospital program group, forest bath group, and controls in order. These results reveals that the therapeutic program performed in forest environment may improve unremitted depressive symptoms of patients with major depressive disorder. Although not significant, the forest therapy program showed better outcome than hosptial program and forest bath.
