  • This research uses measures of transformational and transactional leadership to examine its impact on subordinate psychological empowerment and on his/her creativity in 3 resort complexes. For a total of 462 respondents, followers' sense of increased empowerment and creativity are significantly and positively related to the transformational leadership behaviors of their immediate superior, including charismatic attributes and behaviors, individual consideration, and intellectual stimulation. Two of the three transactional leadership measures, including contingent reward and management-by-exception(active), correlate positively with the followers' perceived empowerment and creativity, but the rest one, management-by-exception(passive), negatively with them. The impact of all of the three measures of transformational leadership and the two of transactional leadership(i.e., contingent reward and active management-by-exception) on subordinate creativity is partially mediated by the subordinate empowerment.

  • The purpose of the study was to examine early childhood teachers' content knowledge of economic education. The subjects, 60 early childhood teachers, were asked to draw concept maps about early childhood economic education. Their concept maps were analyzed in terms of superordinate and subordinate concepts by contents and frequencies. The results were as follows. First, 248 superordinate concepts were shown, and they were categorized into nine representative terms: 'Scarcity and Choice,' 'Decision Making,' 'Monetary Value,' 'Production,' 'Consumption,' 'Distribution,' 'Restrain,' 'Reuse,' and 'Economic Education Activity.' Second, 1,440 subordinate concepts were shown, and 'coin,' 'bill,' 'saving,' 'bank,' and 'money' were frequently shown. Third, the mean numbers of subordinate concepts per superordinate concepts showed that early childhood teachers had more knowledge about 'Consumption,' 'Monetary Value,' and 'Economic Education Activity' than other superordinate concepts. The results showed the need for early childhood teachers to have more systematic and hierarchical pedagogical content knowledge on economic education.

  • The origin of mission command can be traced to the era of the Prussian military reforms led by General Gerhard von Scharnhorst after defeats in battle of Jena and Auerstadt in 1806 against Napoleon I. Mission Command is the conduct of military operations through decentralized execution based upon mission-type orders. Commanders issue mission-type orders focused on the purpose of the operation rather than details of how to perform assigned tasks. The mission command has become the command philosophy of the German military and recently many countries in the west accept it as a command philosophy. This study compare and analyze the Battle of St. Vincent and the Battle of Jutland to make sure if the army-initiated mission commands were also useful for the navy. From the late 18th century, represented by the era of Nelson, Royal navy changed from the inherited rigid command culture to guaranteeing the disciplined initiative of its subordinate commanders. In the Battle of St. Vincent in 1797, Nelson acted contrary to the commander's orders at the crucial moment, which gave Britain a decisive victory. On the contrary more than 100 years later, the command culture of the Royal navy changed into a centralized command culture. In the Battle of Jutland in 1916, Royal Navy couldn't win because the rigid command culture did not guarantee initiative of subordinate commanders and subordinate commander's passive attitude of waiting for the commander's instructions even at critical moments. Therefore, a mission command that guarantees the initiative of subordinate commanders is a useful concept even in the navy because it makes subordinate commanders to take full advantage of a sudden change in battle. Today's advanced information and communication technologies have raised questions about mission command. But even advanced technology can't completely eliminate the fundamental nature of the war-the fog of war. War is chaotic and unpredictable. In the flood of lots of informations, senior commander's judgement is not always right because he(she) is also human, he(she) can make mistakes. In the age of informatization, mission command is still effective because it involves increasing interaction and synergy between senior and subordinate commanders by ensuring their independence. Therefore ROK navy also needs to activate mission command. ROK navy must dismantle the zero-defect mentality and apply from educations as Prussian did to establish a mission command culture.

  • In this paper, we improve a new boundary Schwarz lemma, for analytic functions in the unit disk. For new inequalities, the results of Rogosinski's lemma, Subordinate principle and Jack's lemma were used. Moreover, in a class of analytic functions on the unit disc, assuming the existence of angular limit on the boundary point, the estimations below of the modulus of angular derivative have been obtained.

  • We use the theory of differential subordination to explore various inequalities that are satisfied by an analytic function p defined on the unit disc so that the function p is subordinate to the function ez. These results are applied to find sufficient conditions for the normalised analytic functions f defined on the unit disc to satisfy the subordination zf'(z)/f(z) ≺ ez.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between children's cognitive intelligence and emotional intelligence and to examine the relationship of each subordinate factors. Also, this study investigated whether there is a difference in emotional intelligence according to level of intelligence and gender. The subjects consisted of 104 children enrolled in a kindergarten in the Kangnam area. These children were given two tests, Multimensional Cognitive Abilities Tests for Children(MCAT-C) and Emotional Intelligence Test(EIT). The results of this study are as follows. First, there was a significant relationship between cognitive intelligence(IQ) and emotional intelligence. And there were some correlation between intelligence(IQ) and regulation of emotion(the subordinate factor of emotional intelligence). Second, there was a statistically significant difference in the total score of emotional intelligence, empathy, regulation of emotion(the subordinate factor of emotional intelligence) according to intelligence level. Third, there was a statistically significant difference in emotional intelligence according to gender. Girls received relatively higher scores than boys in the total score of emotional intelligence, empathy, regulation of emotion(subordinate factors of emotional intelligence).

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a farm management diagnostic checklist form, which can be applied to any crops. First, upper indexes and subordinate indexes were identified through survey with expert, and weighted values for each subordinate index were calculated through AHP analysis. Second, as a reuslt of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) analysis, marketing management (0.276) was found to be the most important index of all upper indexes. In the case of subordinate indexes, reflecting management evaluation (0.252) of management consciousness, quality enhancement efforts (0.332) of production management, locating new sales outlets (0.323) of marketing management, agriculture accounting (0.300) of finance management, and adjusting shipping dates (0.274) of risk management were found to be the highest. Third, the interval division using weight of farm receiving prices was higher discrimination in comparison to equal interval division of weighted values for each index. The newly developed farm management diagnostic checklist can be applied to any crops, as it utilizes indexes such as management consciousness, production management, marketing management, financial management, risk management, etc. based on professional opinions. In addition, it allows an objective evaluation of farm management situations by utilizing the weighted value of farm receiving prices.

  • The aim of this study is classify knowledge work style management for knowledge management. It is based on the knowledge creation model of Nonaka by subdividing types of knowledge workers. It was designed to create a model for application to the actual environment of management. Nonaka suggested the process of socialization, externalization, combination, internalization that the knowledge of a person creates new knowledge through the interaction of implicit knowledge and explicit knowledge. This research demonstrated that knowledge worker of 16 forms by applying SECI model to the main function and the subordinate functions again. This study aims at achieving a higher outcome by applying the ability of existing knowledge worker to subdivided expert field efficiently. Suggested styles of knowledge worker in this research are classified into craftsman style, pragmatic style, combination style, developed style knowledge worker who creates knowledge by selecting socialization as the function and again by selecting externalization combination, internalization as subordinate functions. And they were classified into creation style, insight style, strategy style according to practical application worker and function which is selecting externalization as the main function and socialization as the subordinate functions. They were classified into future style, innovation style, analysis style, judgement style knowledge worker who are selecting combination as the main function and experiment style, intuition style, research style, learning style worker who are selecting internalization as the main function. They suggested the characteristics and cases of each type.
