When observing an object in a space, a part of it is remembered into our perception in the time for paying attention or conscious observation and it reaches to our visual understanding. In this study, it examined characteristics by each subject through the process of visual understanding by changes in such observation time. The results from this study are summarized as belows: First, through analysis of the observation data focused on the distance between the observed points, it was able to apply those visual theories organized before to the analysis of characteristics of the time for understanding by each subject. Second, there showed big differences in the time for visual understanding by each subject according to changes in the observation time so that it was found that there were big differences according to the characteristics of subject's intention or purpose of the observation of a space. Third, as the number of continuous observation gives an important clue in judgement of how well the space was understood, it was able to compare and organize the mutual characteristics of the time the attention was concentrated, the time observed intentionally and the time understood visually. Fourth, it was found that the shorter subjects gave the intentional observation in observing a space, the longer they spent the time for paying attention, while the less they could understand it visually.

본 연구는 간호대학생들의 다문화이해 교과목이 다문화 공감능력과 다문화태도에 미치는 효과를 측정하기 위해 시행된 단일군 전후 비교조사 연구이다. 다문화이해 교과목을 수강한 간호대학생 110명을 대상으로 13주간의 다문화이해 교과목 수강 전후에 설문조사를 시행하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS 18.0을 이용하여 paired t-test, t-test, ANOVA 분석과 사후검증은 Scheffe로 시행하였다. 연구 결과 공감능력이 향상되고, 다문화태도가 긍정적으로 변화하였다. 공감능력은 연령이 어릴수록, 외국인 친구가 있는 경우 유의한 차이가 있었고, 다문화 태도는 적극성과 개방성 영역에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 향후 교과 과정 내에서 간호 대학생들의 다문화 역량이 증가될 수 있는 다문화 이해 프로그램의 검증과 효과성의 확인이 필요하며, 효과성의 지속성에 대해서는 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

Detecting visual relationships in an image is important in an image understanding task. It enables higher image understanding tasks, that is, predicting the next scene and understanding what occurs in an image. A visual relationship comprises of a subject, a predicate, and an object, and is related to visual, language, and spatial cues. The predicate explains the relationship between the subject and object and can be categorized into different categories such as prepositions and verbs. A large visual gap exists although the visual relationship is included in the same predicate. This study improves upon a previous study (that uses language cues using two losses) and a spatial cue (that only includes individual information) by adding relative information on the subject and object of the extant study. The architectural limitation is demonstrated and is overcome to detect all zero-shot visual relationships. A new problem is discovered, and an explanation of how it decreases performance is provided. The experiment is conducted on the VRD and VG datasets and a significant improvement over previous results is obtained.

The purpose of the study is to examine various conditions, which are recognized by teachers in the allocation of subject-specialized teachers at elementary schools, into five types of conflicts, in order to offer implications for the operation and allocation of the subject exclusive system henceforth. The study, therefore, categorized the actual allocation process experienced by subject-specialized teachers at elementary schools into five aspects the first is, understanding of students, the second, the ability to teach exclusive subjects, the third, a relationship with students, the fourth, workplace environment at schools, and the fifth, the continuity of subject specialist teachers. Conditions demonstrated in each category are classified into the types that occurred by individual and mutual roles demonstrated through in-depth, where keywords are selected by aspects to suggest conflict conditions. In order to operate the subject exclusive system more efficiently and to boost the effects of positive education, the workplace environment at schools need to be improved urgently, including a variety of training, program development, and financial support. The most vital requirement is to prepare groundwork through mutual understanding and collection of extensive opinions from field teachers based on a consensus that a school is an educational community. The study anticipates that the result could provide a foundation for the preparation of qualitative improvement and development measures for the subject exclusive system at elementary schools.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influences on the understanding and academic achievement in general chemistry according to chemical grades in high school and College Scholatic Ability Test. We investigated the difference between the completed subjects in high school and the elective subjects in the Test, degree of understanding of the general chemistry according to the subjects completed in high school, and the effects on the academic achievement of general chemistry by dint of the chemical grades in high school and the Test, etc. By the results of the student's perception survey, most of the students choose Chemistry I at the Test. It was found that the understanding of general chemistry was greatly affected by the chemical elective subjects of high school. Chemical grades in high school and the Test were found to have a significant influence on academic achievement of general chemistry.

The interest in environmental issues and the awareness of the importance of environmental education have been increasing. This research was carried out in part to respond to such a change, and it aims to search for and suggest ways to strengthen subject-based environmental education in Korea, the most significant part of the formal environmental education. One of the most important of this research was understanding the present status of environmental education of elementary, middle, and high schools in Korea, which was conducted by the questionnaire survey targeted to teachers on the subject-based environmental education. The survey was carried out comprehensively to include respondents from technical and home economics course as well as from vocational high schools. Through this survey, we gained information on the awareness of teachers and students on the objective, learning-teaching strategies and evaluation of environmental education as well as an understanding of the present status of environmental education in schools of Korea.

A case study was conducted to investigate the understandings of the subject matter knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge held by 63 elementary preservice teachers in dealing with the division by a fraction. The study results showed that, in terms of the subject matter knowledge, the preservice teachers did not have a conceptual understanding of the division by a fraction and, in terms of the pedagogical content knowledge, they depended heavily on algorithms without a conceptual understanding of the meaning of the division by a fraction.

This study aims to explore the understanding of and the interest in realistic digital contents and examine their effectiveness, by implementing and applying VR around the science subject in middle schools. It organized each group of two for cooperative activities, in order to implement VR for 52 middle school students located at Y-county, who understood study contents and agreed to participate in the study. Then, it implemented and applied realistic digital contents regarding a change in the science geosphere and many kinds of forces, by extracting and designing them. As they implemented and applied VR around contents interest in science subject. VR assisted lessons made statistically significant differences in understanding and effectiveness of realistic digital contents. It will provide basic data used to cultivate future talents who can prepare for a change in the educational paradigms along with the fourth industrial revolution and adapt to the future knowledge-based society.

The purpose of this research is to develop the multimedia contents for the subject . is the subject to understand and analyze the characteristics of the textile materials and to be putting the key point to utilize the textile materials as the fashion materials. 1 developed the contents using multimedia system standing on the basis of Internet. The developed contents were organized to induce the interest. The sounds, pictures. computer graphics, animations, text, AOD and AOD etc. were utilized in these contents. These contents were consisted of preview, restudy, and the feedback through question. These contents can be executed directly in Web browser through Internet. Address is http://web.cnu.ac.kr/-fabric. Ⅰ applied this multimedia contents to actual class. It was utilized much more than textbook and it was turned out to be efficient in the experiment class. It was inspected that the most of students were satisfied with the utilizing these multimedia contents.

This study investigated elementary teachers' subject matter knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge of fractions. The subject for data collection were 12 in-service elementary teachers and data were collected through written test problems. The finding imply that most elementary teachers understand fraction construct as part-whole, show low level of understanding of operator, ratio, and measurement constructions and word problem posing, using models, and developing the algorithms to divide fractions. The research results indicates that experienced teachers possess poor knowledge of fractions against novice teachers.
