In this study, we investigated the oxygen partial pressure effect of ITO films for electrodes of oxide-based Thin-Film Transistor (TFT). Firstly, we deposited single ITO films on the glass substrate at room temperature. ITO films were prepared at the various partial pressures of oxygen gas 0-7.4% (O2/(Ar+O2)). As increasing oxygen on the process of film deposition, electrical properties were improved and optical transmittance increased in the visible light range (300-800 nm). For the electrode of TFT, we fabricated a TFT device (W/L=1000/200 ㎛) with ITO films as the source and drain electrode on the silicon wafer. Except for the TFT device combined with ITO film prepared at the oxygen partial pressure ratio of 7.4%, We confirmed that TFT devices with ITO films via FTS system operated as a driving device at threshold voltage (Vth) of 4V.
The ART(Adaptive Resonance Theory) model is self- organized with nonstationary input patterns in real time. But there is a multirun problem caused by fault clustering, or pertubated clustering and confines the advantage of the stationary real-time processing in ART model. In this paper, we propose the incremental vigilance threshold approach to decrease the number of multiruns. The incremental vigilance threshold approach is to learn with incremental vigilance threshold and competition with clusters.

The analytical transport model in subthreshold regime for double gate MOSFET has been presented to analyze the short channel effects such as subthreshold swing, threshold voltage roll-off and drain induced barrier lowering. The present approach includes the quantum tunneling of carriers through the source-drain barrier. Poisson equation is used for modeling thermionic emission current, and Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin approximations are applied for modeling quantum tunneling current. This model has been used to investigate the subthreshold operations of double gate MOSFET having the gate length of the nanometer range with ultra thin gate oxide and channel thickness under sub-20nm. Compared with results of two dimensional numerical simulations, the results in this study show good agreements with those for subthreshold swing and threshold voltage roll-off. Note the short channel effects degrade due to quantum tunneling, especially in the gate length of below 10nm, and DGMOSFETs have to be very strictly designed in the regime of below 10nm gate length since quantum tunneling becomes the main transport mechanism in the subthreshold region.
In epidemiology, the basic reproduction number (R0) is a term that describes the expected number of infections generated by 1 case in a susceptible population. At the beginning of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, R0 was frequently referenced by the public health community and the wider public. However, this metric is often misused or misinterpreted. Moreover, the complexity of the process of estimating R0 has caused difficulties for a substantial number of researchers. In this article, in order to increase the accessibility of this concept, we address several misconceptions related to the threshold characteristics of R0 and the effective reproduction number (Rt). Moreover, the appropriate interpretation of the metrics is discussed. R0 should be considered as a population-averaged value that pools the contact structure according to a stochastic transmission process. Furthermore, it is necessary to understand the unavoidable time lag for Rt due to the incubation period of the disease.
The released hydrogen can be ignited even with weak ignition sources. This emphasizes the importance of the hydrogen flammability evaluation to prevent catastrophic failure in hydrogen related facilities including a nuclear power plant. Historically numerous attempts have been made to determine the flammability limit of hydrogen mixtures including several diluents. However, no analytical model has been developed to accurately predict the limit concentration for mixtures containing radiating gases. In this study, the effect of H2O and CO2 on flammability limit was investigated through a numerical simulation of lean limit hydrogen flames. The previous flammability limit model was improved based on the mechanistic investigation, with which the amount of indirect radiation heat loss could be estimated by the optically thin approximation. As a result, the sharp increase in limit concentration by H2O could be explained by high thermal diffusivity and radiation rate. Despite the high radiation rate, however, CO2 with the lower thermal diffusivity than the threshold cannot produce a noticeable increase in heat loss and ultimately limit concentration. We concluded that the proposed mechanistic analysis successfully explained the experimental results even including radiating gases. The accuracy of the improved model was verified through several flammability experiments for H2-air-diluent.
In this paper, we present a nanopower CMOS bandgap voltage reference working in sub-threshold region without resisters and bipolar junction transistors (BJT). Complimentary to absolute temperature (CTAT) voltage generator was realized by using two n-MOSFET pair with body bias circuit to make a sufficient amount of CTAT voltage. Proportional to absolute temperature (PTAT) voltage was generated from differential amplifier by using different aspect ratio of input MOSFET pair. The proposed circuits eliminate the use of resisters and BJTs for the operation in a sub-1V low supply voltage and for small die area. The circuits are implemented in 0.18um standard CMOS process. The simulation results show that the proposed sub-BGR generates a reference voltage of 290mV, obtaining temperature coefficient of 92 ppm/$^{\circ}C$ in -20 to $120^{\circ}C$ temperature range. The circuits consume 15.7nW at 0.63V supply.

High pressure deuterium (HPD) annealing is an advancing technology for the fabrication of modern semiconductor devices. In this work, gate-enclosed FETs are fabricated on a silicon substrate as test vehicles. After a cycle for the HPD annealing, the device parameters such as threshold voltage (VTH), subthreshold swing (SS), on-state current (ION), off-state current (IOFF), and gate leakage (IG) were measured and compared depending on the HPD. The HPD annealing can passivate the dangling bonds at Si-SiO2 interfaces as well as eliminate the bulk trap in SiO2. It can be concluded that adding the HPD annealing as a fabrication process is very effective in improving device reliability, performance, and variability.

This study investigates the impact of globalization, coal consumption, and economic growth on CO2 emissions in Malaysia by applying the Kuznets Environmental Curve model. The study employed the Autoregressive Distributed Lag modeling technique on time series data over the period of 1970-2018 to determine the short and long-run relationship between CO2 emissions and a number of variables, including globalization, coal consumption, and economic growth. The results show that globalization increase CO2 emissions in both the short and long run in Malaysia. Furthermore, the results reveal that economic growth and coal consumption degrade the environmental quality by accelerating the CO2 emissions in the short-run and long run. As a result, the findings validate the Kuznets Environmental Curve hypothesis of an inverted U-shaped relationship between economic growth and CO2 emissions in the long run for Malaysia. The findings of this study suggest that higher globalization levels and usage of coal consumption degrade the environmental quality in Malaysia. The findings also indicate the effect of economic growth on environmental degradation is positive at the initial stage but improves after the economy achieves a threshold level of income per capita in the economic development process with an inverted U-shaped pattern in the long run.

The paper established a new method for fast measurement and characterizing of sub-visible dirt of recycled paper which is too small to be seen with naked eye. This method provided a new way for the evaluation of recycled paper that is hard to be characterized by the conventional method. Two effective thresholding algorithms HA and SDA were compared and their applicable conditions were discussed. Results showed that the HA could be used for un-printed paper while SDA is suited for recycled papers. The gloss of paper samples was measured and the relation between gloss and sub-visible dirt was investigated. The significant effect of this method for characterizing and comparing paper was exhibited. The experiment results indicated that sub-visible dirt measuring method could be a complementariness of the conventional methods.
As e-mail is becoming increasingly important in every day life activity, mail users spend more and more time organizing and classifying the e-mails they receive into folder. Many existing recommendation systems or text classification are mostly focused on recommending the products for the commercial purposes or web documents. So this study aims to apply these application to e-mail more necessary to users. This paper suggests a dynamic recommendation agent system based on Rule Filtering Component recommending the relevant category to enable users directly to manage the optimum classification when a new e-mail is received as the effective method for E-Mail Management. Moreover we try to improve the accuracy as eliminating the limits of misclassification that can be key in classifying e-mails by category. While the existing Bayesian Learning Algorithm mostly uses the fixed threshold, we prove to improve the satisfaction of users as increasing the accuracy by changing the fixed threshold to the dynamic threshold. We designed main modules by rule filtering component for enhanced scalability and reusability of our system.
