The concept of sub-independence is based on the convolution of the distributions of the random variables. It is much weaker than that of independence, but is shown to be sufficient to yield the conclusions of important theorems and results in probability and statistics. It also provides a measure of dissociation between two random variables which is much stronger than uncorrelatedness. Inspired by the excellent work of Jin and Lee (2014), we present certain characterizations of gamma distribution based on the concept of sub-independence.

This study examines the psychological independence in the family system of unmarried women to see how well they become psychologically independent within the relationships with family. A total of 452 subjects of the study were sampled from 20 to 30 unmarried women living in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi-do. The results of the study are as follows: First, the scores of unmarried women's perception of family system were normal category. The scores of family system of unmarried women showed to be distributed to high scores among the overall ranges of scores which means they recognized their family system in general in a healthy way. Second, the level of the subjects' psychological independence from their fathers was shown to be higher than that from their mothers. The result means unmarried women were more dependent on their mothers than fathers. Third, the family system of unmarried women affected the level of psychological independence from their parents. The sub-factors of the family system significantly affected the level of psychological independence. Particularly, enmeshed and disengaged boundary and cooperative factors between spouses and generations affected the level of psychological independence. Fourth, the family system affected each sub-factor of psychological independence of unmarried women. Even though family system were different depending on each sub-factor of psychological independence, they affected the level of psychological independence.

This study specifies daily behaviors that elderly residents perform in their living space and verifies the behaviors that they have difficulties in performing. The study categorized elderly people according to the level of difficulties they have when performing household activities (independence of behavior performance) and verified characteristics of the sub-behaviors and the level of difficulties of performing them in each type. For this purpose, the study conducted observation investigation on the behavior of elderly people by directly visiting houses of 52 elderly people over the age of 65. The characteristics of sub-behavior were also examined through photograph shooting and in-depth interview. In this study, behaviors of elderly people inside living space were categorized into the following nine behaviors. The study investigated the difficulties of performing these sub-behaviors according to the elderly people's level of independence by each behavior. Analyzing the difficulties of sub-behaviors according to the independence level, elderly people felt more structural problems and inconvenience in using facilities when they have lower independence level. Moving from independence to dependence, their performance of behaviors gradually became difficult, making them inevitable to use tools. At last, they came to need caregiver's help. For continuous sustenance of elderly people's independent living inside house, policy measures are required that can address the difficulties of sub-behaviors that are observed in a series of process of one's becoming dependent from independent in this study.

When the correlation of two random variables is weak, the value of one variable can not be used effectively to predict the other. Even when most of the values are overlapped, it is difficult to find a linear relationship. In this paper, we propose two graphical methods of representing the measures of correlation and independence between two random variables. The first method is used to represent their degree of correlation, and the other is used to represent their independence. Both of these methods are based on the cumulative distribution functions defined in this work.

Presented in this paper is a characterization of Weibull distribution by an independence property of upper record values that X_k has a Weibull distribution if and only if ${\frac{X_U(m)}{X_U(n)}}$ and X_U(s) are independent for 1 ≤ m < n < s.

In 2010, Li-Ye [13, Theorem 0.1] proved that P(ζ(z), ζ'(z), . . . , ζ^(m)(z), Γ(z), Γ'(z), Γ"(z)) ≢ 0 in ℂ, where m is a non-negative integer, and P(u₀, u₁, . . . , u_m, v₀, v₁, v₂) is any non-trivial polynomial in its arguments with coefficients in the field ℂ. Later on, Li-Ye [15, Theorem 1] proved that P(z, Γ(z), Γ'(z), . . . , Γ⁽ⁿ⁾(z), ζ(z)) ≢ 0 in z ∈ ℂ for any non-trivial distinguished polynomial P(z, u₀, u₁, . . ., u_n, v) with coefficients in a set L_δ of the zero function and a class of nonzero functions f from ℂ to ℂ ∪ {∞} (cf. [15, Definition 1]). In this paper, we prove that P(z, ζ(z), ζ'(z), . . . , ζ^(m)(z), Γ(z), Γ'(z), . . . , Γ⁽ⁿ⁾(z)) ≢ 0 in z ∈ ℂ, where m and n are two non-negative integers, and P(z, u₀, u₁, . . . , u_m, v₀, v₁, . . . , v_n) is any non-trivial polynomial in the m + n + 2 variables u₀, u₁, . . . , u_m, v₀, v₁, . . . , v_n with coefficients being meromorphic functions of order less than one, and the polynomial P(z, u₀, u₁, . . . , u_m, v₀, v₁, . . . , v_n) is a distinguished polynomial in the n + 1 variables v₀, v₁, . . . , v_n. The question studied in this paper is concerning the conjecture of Markus from [16]. The main results obtained in this paper also extend the corresponding results from Li-Ye [12] and improve the corresponding results from Chen-Wang [5] and Wang-Li-Liu-Li [23], respectively.

This article examines the historical view of Benito $P{\acute{e}}rez$ $Gald{\acute{o}}s$ in his historical novel named "Zaragoza" and "$C{\acute{a}}novas$" by comparing with Numancia of Cervantes. In front of the national survival crisis, $Gald{\acute{o}}s$ recognizes that it is necessary that Spain should recover humanity and morality on basis of the krausist ideal. The krausists warned subjective idealism, stressing on free-will and moral conscience in a harmonious balance of rationality. Without refusing patriotism, they warned egoistic patriotism deformed by national selfishness or nationalism. Giner de los Ríos insisted on a necessity of harmonizing national inclination and universal one. $Gald{\acute{o}}s$ emphasizes that the identity of Spain is not possession of privileged class but sweat and tears of the mass of people in daily life. He represents Efemera as the ideal history on the basis of Unamuno's 'intrahistoria', by which, instead of $Luk{\acute{a}}cs^{\prime}$ progressive history, we can peep into a historical poetics of human free nature and vividness of discontinuous and endless shifting. According to the sub-history, we come to the conclusion that $Gald{\acute{o}}s$ and Cervantes would lay emphasis on sub-history, aiming to essence of Spanish soul originated from national landscape and people's daily life.

Vortex-induced vibrations of a yawed flexible cylinder near a plane boundary are numerically investigated at a Reynolds number Re_n= 500 based on normal component of freestream velocity. Free to oscillate in the in-line and cross-flow directions, the cylinder with an aspect ratio of 25 is pinned-pinned at both ends at a fixed wall-cylinder gap ratio G/D = 0.8, where D is the cylinder diameter. The cylinder yaw angle (α) is varied from 0° to 60° with an increment of 15°. The main focus is given on the influence of α on structural vibrations, flow patterns, hydrodynamic forces, and IP (Independence Principle) validity. The vortex shedding pattern, contingent on α, is parallel at α=0°, negatively-yawed at α ≤ 15° and positively-yawed at α ≥ 30°. In the negatively- and positively-yawed vortex shedding patterns, the inclination direction of the spanwise vortex rows is in the opposite and same directions of α, respectively. Both in-line and cross-flow vibration amplitudes are symmetric to the midspan, regardless of α. The RMS lift coefficient C_L,rms exhibits asymmetry along the span when α ≠ 0°, maximum C_L,rms occurring on the lower and upper halves of the cylinder for negatively- and positively-yawed vortex shedding patterns, respectively. The IP is well followed in predicting the vibration amplitudes and drag forces for α ≤ 45° while invalid in predicting lift forces for α ≥ 30°. The vortex-shedding frequency and the vibration frequency are well predicted for α = 0° - 60° examined.

본 연구는 간호대학생의 국외독립운동사적지 탐방경험을 이해하고 설명하기 위해 수행된 질적 연구이다. 본 연구의 참여자는 경상북도 C군 일개 대학에 국외독립운동사적지 탐방프로그램에 참여한 간호 대학생 1.2학년 24명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료수집기간은 2017년 12월23일부터 12월 25일까지였으며, 자료 수집은 개방형 자기보고서식 성찰일지를 통해 이루어졌으며, 수집된 자료는 Krippendorff[13]의 질적내용분석 방법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 간호대학생의 국외독립운동사적지 탐방 경험을 분석한 결과, 19개의 하위주제, 10개의 주제, 그리고 4개의 범주로 도출되었다. 4개의 범주는 '독립운동의 흔적 앞에서 각인된 우리의 역사', '투영되는 독립운동가의 발자취', '끓어오르는 분노 그러나 남아있는 희망', '반성 속에 애국심의 꽃이 피다' 이다. 본 연구 결과는 간호대학생의 독립운동사적지 탐방 경험에 대한 이해를 제공하였으며, 간호 대학생들이 독립운동역사에 대한 인식제고, 애국심 고취 그리고 간호사로서의 자세에 대해 성찰하는 기회를 가진 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 독립운동 사적지의 보존에 대한 정책이 미비해 민간에 의지하고 있는 현실임으로 이를 해결하기 위한 제도적 노력과 자원이 뒷받침되어야 하겠다.

In this paper we study the $H{\grave{a}}jeck-R{\grave{e}}nyi$ type inequality and strong law of large numbers for asymptotically quadrant sub-independent(AQSI) sequences. We also prove the integrability of supremum for AQSI sequences.
