The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of case-based learning program on three elementary students' scientific problem solving and attitudes in science class. For this study, case-based learning program was designed for bridging students' scientific knowledge and their personal experiences in real life through 4 stages: understanding the problem, planning for problem solving, conducting problem solving, and making conclusion. This study was carried out through 17 lessons of 4th grade for 6 weeks. The data was collected through close observation on three students in two groups in a class. The results include that cased-based learning program showed overall positive effects on the elementary students' scientific problem solving and attitudes in class. In particular, it turned out that the continuous emphasis of real world examples in case-based learning had powerful impacts on students' problem solving abtsity, motivation, and participation in classroom activities. The key factors to successful problem solving in school science was discussed.

Students' emotional attitude not only affects their achievement in a meaningful way but also is an important educational goal in its own right. This research investigated how students' interest in science varies among elementary, middle and high-school students based on a survey and reviews of previous research results. We analyzed students learning attitude in terms of interest in and enjoyment of science, instrumental motivation in science, science learning anxiety, and self-concept in science. Major findings are students showed more negative attitudes in intrinsic motivation, instrumental motivation, value perception of science, and confidence in science as they move in to a higher school level. According to students' explanation, science classes got bored in a higher grade because of difficult contents, lack of experiments and activities, and teachers' monotonous explanations. Based on the results, recommendations on how to improve students' attitudes towards science are suggested. First of all we need to secure more science instructional hours in the school curriculum than the 7th national curriculum to implement improved science teaching and learning methods.

The purposel of this study was to examine the effects which the direct and the indirect instructions at a Home Economics class have on improving the learning achievements and attitudes. To accomplish these goals. 90 students. the number of two classes of the first tirade at p high school at Anyang city of Kyonggi province were selected. They are composed of the experimental group and the comparative group. Each group contained 40 students. The former was implemented by indirect instructions and the latter direct instructions. The 'Family and Domestic Life' unit of the first tirade was selected as the study subject to take effects and 30 periods of class were enforced. For the experimental measure of this study. the researcher used a pre-learning test. a learning attitude test. and a learning achievement test as means of measure. The two groups were confirmed as the group having the same quality, So after the experimental measure, the results of the post tests(included a learning achievement test and a learning attitude test) were verified by T-test in order to research the problematic subject. and SPSS/win statistics package was used for the processing of the statistics. The results are following: 1. The direct and the indirect instructions represented the meaningful differences in the learning achievements (p <.05). They represented the meaningful differences in improving the learning achievements of knowledge and understanding(p <.05). It was verified that the (order is more effective than the latter in improving the learning achievements of knowledge and understanding, and They represented the meaningful differences in the improving learning achievements of application (p <.05) 2. They represented the meaningful differences in the learning attitudes at a domestic class(p <.05) The latter is more effective than the former in changing into the positive learning attitudes. In the light of these result7. the direct instructions are effective in improving the learning achievements of knowledge and understanding. and the indirect instructions are effective in improving the learning achievements of application. Also the indirect instructions are more effective than the direct instructions in changing into the positive learning attitude.

The measurement tad of student's attitudes towards secondary school science had been developed according to the scheme of categories of science education object by Klopfer. Sixteen background factors of student had been chosen in order to find out a difference in student's attitudes towards secondary school science for each background factor. The twenty-eighth grade student's attitudes towards secondary school science in the Province of Chung Cheong Buk Do had been investigated by the developed tool. The findings were as follow: 1. On the whole the investigated students had favorable attitudes towards secondary school science. 2. The adoption of scientific attitudes and favorable attitudes towards science and scientists were the best affirmative attitudes. 3. The correlation between enjoyment of science learning experiences and development of interest in pursuing a career in science was the highest level. 4. The seven of sixteen background factors-sex, interest in science, science mark, location of residence, sat sifaction level at science learning, familiarity level with the name of scientific instruments and intended job-affected studentss attitudes towards secondary school science.
The purpose of this study is to check out whether the method that students make problems and anouence them to both students and teacher in the next class influence on the students' intersts, attitudes, logical thinking ability and lerning achievement in mathematics. The following is the experimental design and procedure. First, the author divided students into two groups. One is the experimental group and the other is the control group. These two groups' students consist of the advanced level, the intermediate level and the elementary level according to the students' learning proficiency Second, the author used the different teaching method between the experimental group and the control group. The author gave the experimental group's students the learning assignment problems according to their three levels and made students present the problems to the instructor and classmates in the next class. On the other hand, the author gave the control group's students learning assignment problems according to their three levels, and made them only submit their assingment to the instructor. The results of this study are as follows : 1)The method of solving and presenting the self-made problems on the basis of the informations to solve the given preceding model learning problems according to students' levels made students' learning attitudes more positive even though the method couldn't enhance the students' interests in mathematics. 2)The method of solving and presenting the self-made problems was effective to improve the logical thinking ability for especially the intermediate level's students among the three levels. In addition, the intermediate level's students showed great positive changes in their improvements of the learning achievment. It is assumed that this result is caused by two major factors(reasons). One is students' confidence that they can solve the fundamental problems without difficulty. And the other is students' desire to solve the problems of the intermediate level or more advanced level.
The purpose of this paper is to investigate high school students' learning characteristics which revealed in their learning process of limit using GeoGebra. And we are going to analyze effects of teaching of limit using GeoGebra to high school students' interesting and attitudes for mathematics learning. To do this, we selected three high school students as participants and ask them performing limit learning using GeoGebra. We recorded their problem solving process. Through analyzing their problem solving process relate to their solution, we found the followings: First, students did not logically approach based on mathematical properties or given materials, rather showing tendency decide with self-conscious and intuition. Second, it is possible that former reasoning strategies disturb following reasoning in the process of high school students' mathematics learning. Third, learning process of limit using GeoGebra help high school students to identify and correct their errors relate to limit learning. Forth, learning process of limit using GeoGebra positively effects to high school students' interesting and attitudes for mathematics learning.
Mathematics is to reflect on your or other people's psychological mathematic activities. Thus, learners need to reflect on their mathematical activities in order to cultivate mathematical thinking attitude and perceive learning contents. For this study, first of all, two classes of the fifth grade (29 students in experimental group and 31 students in control group) in 'Y' elementary school in Dae-gu city were selected as research targets and post-test of learning achievement and mathematical attitude examination were carried out in order to verify the differences of learning achievement and mathematical attitudes between experimental and control groups. The findings of this study mean that students' learning achievement and mathematical attitudes can be improved by applying mathematical reflective activities to the actual class.
This study is focused on vocational high school students who feel hardly interested in mathematics and are considered to have very limited basic scholastic ability. It analyzes the data obtained by applying the material, extracted from the Internet and literature to school classes from March to July, for the purposes of improving the degree of scholastic achievement on the basis of the fact that interest induced learning materials were developed and applied to the students to bring about their motivation resulting in a positive change in understanding and attitudes to mathematics. According to the result of the analysis, the level of students' scholastic ability of both the comparative class and the experimental class were too low to become interested in mathematics. However, the experimental class students seemed to feel familiar to the learning materials rather than reluctant, and it appeared that their interest and behavior of learning began to change gradually in an extent. In addition to that, as an aspect of scholastic achievement there was not considerable difference between the two classes, but as time went, some valuable changes were found. Unfortunately, the size of group of the research was small and the period of the experimental classes was not extensively long, and therefore the same result might not occur in other groups. However, it is believed that in class-time, educating students by putting in learning materials bringing about relevant motivation to the class, will lead them to become interested in mathematics, and change their attitudes and understanding of mathematics. After all, scholastic achievement will be effective.

Psychiatric nursing is a specialty where nursing students experience many difficulties in applying what they have learned in theory to clinical practice. Therefore, a situation-oriented case-based strategy is required to help them overcome the limitations of psychiatric nursing clinical practice and reduce their burden. This study aimed to measure the effectiveness of a psychiatric nursing clinical practice program using situation-oriented case-based learning. Participants comprised 63 nursing students in psychiatric nursing classes. The students were asked to create a scenario of interaction between a nurse and patient based on a case study. Empathy, therapeutic communication ability, and attitudes toward mental illnesses were measured. We analyzed the effectiveness of the program by comparing changes in the nursing students' empathy, therapeutic communication ability, and attitude toward mental illness after the program. The participants showed significant increases in empathy and therapeutic communication abilities. However, there were no significant changes in attitudes toward mental illnesses. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that situation-based learning will be effective for students who have difficulties in certain aspects, such as COVID-19, or where there are limited clinical practice opportunities, such as psychiatric nursing.
This study seeks to prove three points through the research. The first point is to examine the changes of international attitudes with actual experiences using synchronous international distance learning. The second point is to examine the effectiveness of a synchronous international distance system. And the final point is to compare international attitudes among middle school and undergraduate school students in Korea and Japan. The study used the DVTS for audio and video communication tools and automatic translating chat as a text communication tool. This combination of communication tools was very effective for students from both countries to communicate for international collaborative learning activities. The study found several interesting patterns of attitude change from the results of the study. For whole category analysis, there are positive changes in four categories of international attitudes: consciousness to foreign countries, consideration for other's viewpoints, motivation for international education, and recognition for the counterpart country. However, there was no change in the nationality category.
