This study attempted to find out the factors affecting the self-directed learning ability of nursing students who took online lectures. The research method was a structured questionnaire survey targeting 2nd to 4th grade nursing college students, and the analysis method was analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. As a result of the study, the self-directed learning ability of nursing college students was an average of 3.48 points out of 5 points, and it was found that learning immersion had the greatest effect on self-directed learning ability. Based on the results of this study, it will be necessary to establish a quality education system and the efforts of instructors who apply various lecture methods or customized lecture programs so that learners can immerse themselves in learning in order to improve learners' self-directed learning ability.
This study investigates the comprehensive system for collecting intelligent learning activity data tailored to learner-centered personalized education. We compared and analyzed the characteristics of xAPI, Caliper analytics, and cmi5, which are learning activity data collection standards, and established a system that allows not only standardized data but also non-standardized learning activity data to be stored as big data for artificial intelligence learning analysis. As a result, the system was structured into five stages: defining data types, standardizing learning data using xAPI, storing big data, conducting learning analysis (statistical and AI-based), and providing learner-tailored services. The aim was to establish a foundation for analyzing learning data using artificial intelligence technology. In future research, we will divide the entire system into three stages, implement and execute it, and correct and supplement any shortcomings in the design.

Problem-based Learning (PBL) has been known as an effective strategy for dealing with various aspects of education such as the enhancement of students' motivation, interest in subjects, academic achievement, and cooperative abilities. However, PBL has not been widely implemented in secondary schools. The purpose of this study is to investigate secondary school teachers' perception of problem-based learning and their way of applying it. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews with nine secondary school teachers. Five of them had experience in implementing PBL, while four of them had interest in using PBL but had not yet had the experience. Different concepts were extracted and categorized. Nvivo 2.0 was used for analysis. The results were as follows: Changes in student attitude toward class, improvement on cooperation with others, self-regulated learning skills, and satisfaction from students' positive comments on PBL enabled teachers to become more enthusiastic and positive toward PBL. The stress of developing proper problems and the enormous amounts of time and efforts required in using PBL were shown as barriers for teachers in implementing PBL. However, some negative perspectives about PBL changed into positive after teachers experience PBL. By examining each teacher's way of implementing PBL, several teaching strategies suitable to their school systems were suggested.
The purpose of study was to test the effects of CEO' transformational leadership and learning organization on innovative behavior in the Knowledge-based Service Organization showing the characteristics of convergence service and the moderating role of learning organization between transformational leadership and innovative behavior. For this study, the data were collected from 348 Knowledge-based Service industrial employees in metropolitan area by using structured questionnaires. Collected data were analyzed by hierarchical regression technique. The results showed that both of CEO' transformational leadership and seven learning organization building factors had a positive effect on employees' innovative behavior. And also found out the only four out of the seven learning organization building factors, namely 'Create continuous learning opportunities', 'Promote inquiry and dialogue', 'Encourage collaboration and team learning', 'Provide strategic leadership for learning' had the moderate roles between CEO's transformational leadership and employees' innovative behavior. The theoretical and practical implications of the findings were discussed and the directions for future research were presented.
Purpose: This study was conducted to develop case-based self-learning multimedia contents for preventing malpractice that frequently occurred among nurses working in the operating room. Methods: Based on the learning needs of operating room nurses, real case reports, and literature reviews, the case-based multimedia learning contents were developed according to the instructional design procedure. The assessment of learning needs was performed by the combination of surveys using structured questionnaire and of interviews for 40 operating room nurses. Results: The learning contents included four learning modules with real malpractice cases from the areas of operating preparation, nursing skills during operation, environmental management of operating room, and patient safety and observation-related. The 80 minute long case-based multimedia learning contents were finally developed after content validity tests from clinical experts. Each module contained photos, sounds and flash animation with voice recording on the contents of nursing error cases and standardized protocols. Conclusion: The developed multimedia learning contents based on real error cases in this study can be utilized as an educational hands-on training materials for nurses to prevent malpractice in the operating room.
This study was planned to investigate the relationship between development levels of learning organization and organization effectiveness in Hospital. Data were collected from 285 respondents who have participated in 'Learning Organization Project'(response rate =$50.5\%$). Structured questionnaire were applied by self administrated survey for two weeks since 2003 May. Main results were as follows; In the result of factor analysis, four factor were created and almost questionnaire items were classified into as same categories as theoretical concepts. Cronbach's a coefficient also showed over 0.7 in all categories. This result means that measurement tool to evaluate the development level of learning organization is valid and reliable. In the comparison of the development level of learning organization by participants' specialties, managerial workers perceived the lowest construction level, while medical technicians evaluated it as the highest level. In regression analysis, the perception levels of work environment, task and human aspect showed positive relationship with job competency significantly. For job satisfaction, levels of task and human aspects had positive relationship significantly. In addition, for organizational commitement, levels of organization and human aspect were positive predictors. Finally, for the satisfaction about experience of learning organization project, levels of environment, task and hmm aspects were related positively. We concluded from these result that the positive relationship between construction levels of learning organization and organization effectiveness was extended to hospital, besides industrial fields. We recommend the introduction and facilitation of learning organization project in various settings to improve the competency of knowledge management in individual and organizational levels.

Purpose: This descriptive study was done to identify the academic achievement, self-directed learning (SDL), and critical thinking disposition (CTD) of nursing students according to their learning styles. Method: The participants were 240 nursing students. Data were collected using structured questionnaires which included Kolb's Learning Style Inventory, Academic Achievement in Fundamental Nursing and Health Assessment, Self Directed Learning Readiness Scale, and California Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory. Data were analyzed using ${\chi}^2$ test, ANOVA, Pearson' correlation coefficients, and Spearman rank correlation coefficient. Results: One third of respondents were shown to be Convergers in their learning style (33.3%). The Academic Achievement of students who were Convergers was significantly higher than those who were Divergers or Accommodators (F=5.95, p=.001). The SDL and CTD of students who were Convergers were significantly higher than Divergers and Assimilators (F=9.67, p<.001 and F=8.42, p<.001). No significant correlations were found between Academic Achievement and SDL or CTD, but a statistically significant positive correlation was found between SDL and CTD (r=.68, p<.001). Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that learning style influences academic achievement, SDL and CTD.

The quality of the E-learning education in Saudi Arabia has been a major concern by many academicians, especially, and people in general as this platform has not been a priority for education. Not until recently, the world has been impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, which makes every education institution shifted to the online platform to continue the education for the students. Thus, many studies on the perceptions on the online learning have been carried out, and though many are focusing on the perceptions by the education institutions' faculty and administration, there is a lack in the amount of study performed to analyse the students' perceptions of online learning during the pandemic time. The current study is conducted by utilising qualitative methods in order to collect information and investigate the students' perception regarding online learning during the pandemic Covid-19, based on their individual experiences. A number of fifteen (15) students were selected as respondents for the study, in which structured interviews were conducted by using a convenient sampling technique for data collection. Through the discussion, all of the positive and negative perceptions of online learning, as well as the factors contributing to those perceptions were identified. The results of the study found that the positive perceptions were contributed based on the flexibility, cost-effectiveness, availability of the electronic research databases, and well-designed online classroom interfaces. For the negative perceptions from using online learning platforms, the respondents informed that they were contributed by the lecturer's delayed feedback, lack of technical support by lecturers, low in self-esteem and self-motivation, feel isolated, one-way of educational methods, and poorly-designed class materials. Through the findings, the school's administration and lecturers would be able to know the struggles experienced by the students, and eventually come out with better solutions to improve their teaching methods.
This research was to examine the understandings of elementary school teachers on the phenomena related to light and image, and to survey their perception change related to learning contents of optics. The subjects were selected from the elementary teachers who were enrolled in a graduate course, 'Science education seminar' at an education college located in Chungchungbuk-Do, South Korea. Among the five students who exposed their perceptions clearly in the class, the three of them were selected who agreed to the proposal of the case study. To achieve the purpose of this study, semi-structured interviews following the conception test with the 3 elementary teachers were conducted. During the analysis of the data, additional interviews by phone, e-mail, and internet messenger were conducted if necessary. According to the results, all of the elementary school teachers lacked the scientific conceptions of the phenomena related to light and image. Unfortunately, their learning experiences did not help them to understand the scientific concepts. During the interviews, the teachers recognized the importance of the viewpoints of seeing, image, cognition of light, point light source to understand the phenomena related to light and image.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine how the acceptance of diversity of nursing college students affects creativity and to verify empirically the role of individual cooperative learning competency and unlearning competency in such influence relations. Methods: This study surveyed 209 nursing college students and analyzed the structured questionnaire data using SPSS WIN 21.0 and AMOS 18.0. Results: The results of this study were as follows. First, the creativity of the subjects showed significant correlations with all other variables. Second, diversity openness directly affected creativity. We also confirmed that diversity openness and cooperative learning competency have a positive effect on creativity through mediating unlearning competency. Conclusion: In order to enhance the creativity of nursing college students, diversity openness should be actively reflected in the curriculum. In addition, concrete teaching-learning strategies should be developed in order to increase and enhance the unlearning competency and cooperative learning competency of nursing students.
