  • The purposes of this study are to explain and identify the frame of structural relations of learning orientation, self-efficacy, learning transfer and job performance of farmers who participated in the strong and small farms education. This is an experimental research with the data collected from 495 farmers who have taken the farm education. Based on the collected data, the study conducted a structural equation modeling(SEM) to confirm the validity and analyze the structural relations of the suggested model. Using measured and latent variables drew from the analyses, the study set a structural equation model and tested the model by analysis of the structural equation modeling with AMOS 18.0. The results found from the empirical analysis can be summarized as follows. 1) Learning orientation and self-efficacy positively influenced job performance through learning transfer. 2) The hypothesis that learning orientation would have direct impact on job performance was not supported. 3) The strong and small farms education is useful to expand learning transfer and to enhance job performance. So, government policy support has to reinforce learning support on farmers in order to achieve high performance of learning and job management through farm educations.

  • Structural equation modeling is pointing to statistical procedures that simultaneously perform path analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. Today, this statistical procedure is an essential tool for researchers in the social sciences. There are as AMOS, LISREL and PLS representative tools that can perform structural equation modeling analysis. AMOS provides a convenient graphical user interface for beginners to use. PLS has the advantage of not having a constraint on normal distribution as well as a graphical user interface. Therefore, we compared and analyzed the three most commonly used tools (applications) in social sciences. Based on structural equation modeling, confirmatory factor analysis was performed using the IBM AMOS Ver. 23, the LISREL 8.70 and the SmartPLS 2.0. The comparative results show that LISREL has the highest explanatory power of dependent variables than other analytical tools. The path coefficients and T-values presented by the analysis results showed similar results for all three analysis tools. This study suggests practical and theoretical implications based on the results.

  • In this study, the effect of traffic information satisfaction and expansion by the attitude on traffic information media using the structural equation modeling was evaluated. Research findings showed that the attitude formed by experience with VMS had a positive impact on user satisfaction and expansion on traffic information. Howevr, the expansion on traffic information was not affected significantly. by user satisfaction on traffic information. In other words, If experiences with VMS is positive, higher uset satisfaction on traffic information. In addition, it should be positive to expand traffic information.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to construct and test a structural equation modeling on burnout of clinical nurses based on CS-CF model. Methods: A survey using a structured questionnaire was conducted with 557 clinical nurses. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Results: The modified hypothetical model yielded the following ${\chi}^2=289.70$, p<.001, RMSEA=.09, GFI=.93, TLI=.91, CFI=.94, PCFI=.65, AIC=363.21, SRMR=.05 or less and showed good fit indices. Nursing work environment, patient safety culture and resilience showed indirect effects on burnout while compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction had direct effects. Conclusion: Results of this study suggest that compassion fatigue must be decreased and compassion satisfaction has to be increased, while burnout is lowered by enhancing the clinical nursing work environment, patient safety culture and resilience. In addition, more variables and longitudinal studies are necessary to validate the clear cause-and-effect relationship between the relevant variables.

  • PURPOSES: By conducting the landscape survey that considered landscape factors of the Guide Coating in the Median Barrier that applied of the various level by simulating of the Guide Coating in the Median Barrier on the expressway, they showed the quantitative standard of landscape preference factors that the Guide Coating gives. METHODS: The shape of the Structural Equation Modeling used AMOS program and made a shape that is made of landscape preference for the Guide Coating in the Median Barrier on the expressway a dependent variable. RESULTS: Result in this, they showed that functionality and emotionalism are the factors that affect the landscape preference. CONCLUSIONS: In the main study, not only showing the Guide Coating in the Median Barrier on the expressway landscape valuation but also embodying the Structural Equation Modeling(SEM) of each group, knowing the Guide Coating and unknowing the Guide Coating. By embodying this, they could study that the drivers' quantitative standard is different when the Guide Coating become first applied and being changed after.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of appearance management cognition on attitude toward appearance management and the effect of this attitude on appearance management behavior. It also examines how demographic factors affect these relationships. This study gave a questionnaire survey to adults between the ages of 40 and 50 in Seoul, Daegu, and Ulsan, South Korea. Data collected from 368 respondents were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, factor analysis, and structural equation modeling. The study model was tested by structural equation modeling, the results of which revealed a positive effect of appearance management cognition on attitude toward appearance management and a positive effect of attitude toward appearance management on appearance management behavior. The results of t-testing showed that there were significant differences in cognition, attitude, and behavior toward appearance management by gender, age, educational level, and income.

  • This study aimed to analyze the relationship between interpersonal problem, stress coping strategies and mental health for university students at risk of smartphone addiction using a structural equation modeling. Key results of the analysis were as follows. The interpersonal problem increased the severity of mental health. Stress coping strategies had partial mediating effects in the relationship between interpersonal problem and mental health. Passive coping strategy was risk factor and Active coping strategy was protective factor. Based on these results, various interventions for improving mental health for university students at risk of smartphone addiction were suggested.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of illness perception on depression and quality of life in patients with hemodialysis. Methods: This is a cross-sectional study using structural equation modeling. Depression, quality of life and cognitive and emotional illness perceptions were measured by the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression-10 (CESD-10), Short Form-36 version 2 (SF-36v2), and Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire (BIPQ) in 272 hemodialysis patients. Results: Prevalence of depression was 76.1%, and higher in female patients on hemodialysis. Cognitive illness perception had effect on depression and quality of life, while emotional illness perception had effect only on depression. Quality of life was explained 69.6% through depression (${\beta}=-.74$, t= -8.17) and cognitive illness perceptions (${\beta}=.21$, t= 3.06), while depression was explained 40.5% through cognitive (${\beta}=-.34$, t= -5.99) and emotional (${\beta}=.59$, t= 9.37) illness perceptions. Conclusion: In the inevitable choice of dialysis, illness perception could decrease depression and improve quality of life in hemodialysis patients.

  • Background: In occupational studies, it is a known situation that technical and organizational attempts are used to prevent occupational accidents. Especially in the mining sector, if these attempts cannot prevent occupational accidents, personal protective equipment (PPE) becomes a necessity. Thus, in this study, the main objective is to examine the effects of the variables on the use of PPE and identify important factors. Methods: A questionnaire was implemented and structural equation modeling was conducted to ascertain the significant factors affecting the PPE use of mining employees. The model includes the factors that ergonomics, the efficiency of PPE and employee training, and PPE usage habit. Results: The results indicate that ergonomics and employee training have no significant effect (p > 0.05) on the use of PPE. The efficiency of PPE has a statistically meaningful effect (p < 0.05) on the use of PPE. Various variables have been evaluated in previous studies. However, none of them examined the variables simultaneously. Conclusion: The developed model in the study enables to better focus on ergonomics and employee training in the PPE usage. The effectiveness of a PPE makes its use unavoidable. Emphasizing PPE effectiveness in OHS training and even showing them in practice will increase employees' PPE usage. The fact that a PPE with high effectiveness is also ergonomic means that it will be used at high rates by the employee.
