Protein tyrosine kinases (PTKs) play a central role in the modulation of a wide variety of cellular events such as differentiation, proliferation and metabolism, and their unregulated activation can lead to various diseases including cancer and diabetes. PTKs represent a diverse family of proteins including both receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) and non-receptor tyrosine kinases (NRTKs). Due to the diversity and important cellular roles of PTKs, accurate classification methods are required to better understand and differentiate different PTKs. In addition, PTKs have become important targets for drugs, providing a further need to develop novel methods to accurately classify this set of important biological molecules. Here, we introduce a novel statistical model for the classification of PTKs that is based on their structural features. The approach allows for both the recognition of PTKs and the classification of RTKs into their subfamilies. This novel approach had an overall accuracy of 98.5% for the identification of PTKs, and 99.3% for the classification of RTKs.
There is an inseparable relation between human race and engineering work. As world developed into highly industrialized society, a diversity of large structures is being built up correspondently to limited topographical circumstance. Though large structures are national establishments which provide us with convenience of life, there are some disastrous possibilities which were never predicted such as ground subsidence and degradation. It is very difficult to analyze the volume of total metamorphosis with the relative displacement measurement system which is now used and it is impossible to know whether there is structural metamorphosis within a permissible range of design or not. In this research with an object of 13-year-old earthen dam, through generating point-cloud which has 3D spatial coordinates(x, y, z) of this dam by means of 3D Laser Scanning, we can get real configuration data of slanting surface of this dam with this method of getting a number of 3D spatial coordinates(x, y, z). It gives 3D spatial model to us and we can get various information of this dam such as the distance of slanting surface of dam, dimensions and cubic volume. It can be made full use of as important source material of reinforcement and maintenance works to detect previously the bulging of the dam through this research.
Structural heterogeneity results in different spatial distributions of microcrustaceans. Thus, in ecosystems with excessive macrophyte development, it may be difficult to determine the microcrustacean species composition. Given the importance of microcrustaceans in the food web, the elucidation of microcrustacean diversity is essential. In vegetated habitats, bluegill sunfish can prey on microcrustaceans, and therefore have a potential role as microcrustacean monitoring agents. In the present study, we compared microcrustacean species compositions in the field with those in the guts of bluegill, in Jangcheok Lake, South Korea. Our results showed that the number of microcrustacean species was higher in bluegill guts than in the field. Further, microcrustacean species, such as Daphnia galeata, Graptoleveris testudinaria, Leydigia leydigii, Rhynchotalona sp., and Simocephalus exponisus, were found only in bluegill guts. Our findings verify the validity of the fish gut analysis to monitor microcrustacean species compositions and to clarify spatial distributions of microcrustacean species in structurally heterogeneous ecosystems with excessive macrophyte development.
The human reference genome, maintained by the Genome Reference Consortium, is conceivably the most complete genome assembly ever, since its first construction. It has continually been improved by incorporating corrections made to the previous assemblies, thanks to various technological advances. Many currently-ongoing population sequencing projects have been based on this reference genome, heightening hopes of the development of useful medical applications of genomic information, thanks to the recent maturation of high-throughput sequencing technologies. However, just one reference genome does not fit all the populations across the globe, because of the large diversity in genomic structures and technical limitations inherent to short read sequencing methods. The recent success in de novo construction of the highly contiguous Asian diploid genome AK1, by combining single molecule technologies with routine sequencing data without resorting to traditional clone-by-clone sequencing and physical mapping, reveals the nature of genomic structure variation by detecting thousands of novel structural variations and by finally filling in some of the prior gaps which had persistently remained in the current human reference genome. Now it is expected that the AK1 genome, soon to be paired with more upcoming de novo assembled genomes, will provide a chance to explore what it is really like to use ancestry-specific reference genomes instead of hg19/hg38 for population genomics. This is a major step towards the furthering of genetically-based precision medicine.
Though the history of fisheries business administration education has it's own uniqueness, the research or study of that still insufficient. And in spite of the structural shift of society and environmental diversity, there's few research that analyzing or examining the curricular constitution and change recently. The process of this research was implemented with investigating the objective and content domains concerning marine education in the fisheries and marine curriculum and changes of them. The changes of fisheries business administration education reviewed and analyzed in the view point of construction of the textbook, contents of the each changes and recency comparison of tables and figures of the high school textbook of the fisheries business administration general. The results show that most of the changes have been reflected by the demands of the society including fisheries related law, policy and distribution networks. But there are still some errors and necessity of improvements in data and descriptions. The results of this study would help develop sustainable curriculum design for further changes and give more effective guidelines for identifying the core of fisheries business administration education.
Korean families have been undergone tremendous changes during the past three decades with societal changes. Korean families become smaller, diverse, and multi-cultural. These family changes challenge child development research. Family is not just an intimate relationship. Family is also a structural environment, a system linking micro and macro system, an institution, and an ideology. Consequently, researchers need to pay attention to various ways family influence child development and take into account family as a whole unit. Researchers are also challenged to make a stance regarding family changes and diversity. Temporality is another important issue in studying how family development and child development interact. In terms of public policy, social services should be developed to cope with the new social risks from family changes and to mitigate a growing developmental gap among the children of families with different economic classes.

The unicellular marine red alga Erythrolobus australicus sp. nov. (Porphyridiophyceae) was isolated into laboratory culture from mangroves in Queensland and New South Wales, Australia. The single multi-lobed red to rose-red plastid has more than one pyrenoid and lacks a peripheral thylakoid. Arrays of small electron dense globules occur along the thylakoids. The nucleus is peripheral with a central to eccentric nucleolus. Each Golgi body is associated with a mitochondrion. The spherical cells are positively phototactic with slow gliding movement. The psaA + psbA phylogeny clearly showed that E. australicus is a distinct species, which is closely related to E. coxiae. The chemotaxonomically relevant and most abundant low molecular weight carbohydrate in E. australicus is floridoside with concentrations between 209 and 231 ${\mu}mol g^{-1}$ dry weight. Traces of digeneaside were also detected. These various approaches help to understand the taxonomic diversity of unicellular red algae.
Piezoelectric materials are well-utilized for transforming mechanical vibrations into electrical energy that can be stored and used to power a diversity of devices. In this work, these materials have been studied to improve the efficiency of a piezoelectric system, whereby the shape and vibration mode of a piezoelectric module was changed. The basic shape of the piezoelectric module used in this work comprises a width of 10 mm, a length of 30 mm, and a thickness of 0.2 mm. The structural design of the piezoelectric module is optimized using a Taguchi method to increase the corresponding electrical-energy generation. The maximum terminal voltage was defined as a characteristic value to evaluate the optimal design parameters. Through this work, we propose an optimal structure with an eccentric and centric mass; furthermore, the voltage increase of approximately 26% was obtained by comparing a general plate-vibrating piezosystem with an optimal plate-vibrating piezosystem.

Urbanization rates of population range from about 1% in the developed countries to about 4% in developing countries. For a global population that may reach 10 billion within the next 40 years, pressure has arisen for an increase in the large-scale use of wastes and byproducts in construction. Ironically, most of the wastes that need to be recycled are generated in large cities where the need for constructed facilities to serve large population is high. Waste and recycled materials (WRM) that are used in construction are required to satisfy material strength, durability and contaminant teachability requirements. These materials exhibit a wide variety of characteristics owing to the diversity of industrial processes through which they are produced. Several laboratory-based investigations have been conducted to assess the pollution potential and load bearing capacity of materials such as petroleum-contaminated soils, coal combustion ash, flue-gas desulphurization gypsum and foundry sand. For full-scale systems, although environmental pollution potential and structural integrity of constructed facilities that incorporate WRM are interrelated, comprehensive schemes have not been developed for integrated assessment of the relevant field-scale performance factors. In this presentation, a framework for such an assessment is proposed and presented in the form of a flowchart. The proposed scheme enables economic, environmental, worker safety and engineering factors to be addressed in a number of sequential steps. Quantitative methods and test protocols that have been developed can be incorporated into the proposed scheme for assessing the feasibility of using WRM as partial or full substitutes for earthen highway materials in the field.
