원호형 띠기초의 자유진동 해석 (Free Vibration Analysis of Circular Strip Foundations)

  • Since soil-structure interactions are one of the most important subjects in the structural/foundation engineering, much study concerning the soil-structure interactions had been carried out. One of typical structures related to the soil-structure interactions is the strip foundation which is basically defined as the beam or strip rested on or supported by the soils. At the present time, lack of studies on dynamic problems related to the strip foundations is still found in the literature. From these viewpoint, this paper aims to theoretically investigate dynamics of the circular strip foundations and also to present the practical engineering data for the design purpose. Differential equations governing the free, out-of-plane vibrations of such strip foundations are derived, in which effects of the rotatory and torsional inertias and also shear deformation are included although the warping of the cross-section is excluded. Governing differential equations subjected to the boundary conditions of corresponding end constraints are numerically solved for obtaining the natural frequencies and mode shapes by using the numerical integration technique and the numerical method of non-linear equation.

박판 주조법으로 제조된 Au-Sn 스트립의 열처리에 따른 인장 변형 거동 (Effect of Heat Treatment on the Tensile Deformation Behavior of Au-Sn Strip Manufactured by Strip Casting Process)

  • This study tried to examine the suitability of strip casting process such as PFC (Planar Flow Casting) method for soldering Au-Sn strip. The effect of heat treatment on the tensile behavior and mechanical properties of an Au-Sn strip was investigated through tensile test, micro hardness test, X-ray diffraction (XRD), SEM, and TEM observations. It was apparent that 20-mm width Au-Sn strip could be well produced by using planar flow casting process. Tensile results showed that tensile strength increased from 338.3MPa to 310MPa and plastic strain improved from 0% to 1.5% with heat treatment ($170^{\circ}C$/70 hrs.). The microstructure of Au-Sn strip mainly consisted of two phases; $Au_5Sn(\zeta)$ and AuSn($\sigma$). It was also found that inhomogeneous amorphous local structure continuously changed to the homogeneous two phases microstructure with heat treatment. The fractographical observation after tensile test indicated the cleavage fracture mode of as-casted Au-Sn strip. On the other hand, the heat treated Au-Sn strip showed that fracture propagated along interface between brittle AuSn and ductile $Au_5Sn$ phases. The deformation behavior of strip casted Au-Sn alloy with microstructural evolution and the improve method for ductility of this alloy was also suggested.

유전체층 위의 완전도체띠 격자구조에 의한 TE 산란에 관한 연구 (A Study on TE Scattering by a Conductive Strip Grating Over a Dielectric Layer)

  • 본 논문에서는 유전체층 위의 완전도체띠 격자구조에 의한 TE(transverse electric)산란 문제를 전자파 수치해석 방법으로 알려진 FGMM(fourier-Galerkin moment method) 및 PMM(point matching method)을 이용하여 해석하였다. 산란전자계는 Floquet 모드함수의 급수로 전개하였고, 경계조건은 미지의 계수를 구하기 위하여 적용하였으며, 완전도체의 경계조건은 접선성분의 전계와 스트립위에 유도되는 전류와의 관계를 이용하였다. 도체띠의 폭과 주기, 유전층의 비유전율과 두께 및 입사각에 대해 정규화된 기하광학적 반사 및 투과전력을 계산하였다. 전반적으로 유전체층의 비유전율이 증가할수록 기하광학적 정규화된 반사전력이 증가하였다. 본 논문의 정확도를 검증하기 위하여 FGMM의 수치결과들은 PMM을 이용한 수치계산 결과들과 비교하여 매우 잘 일치하였다.

  • In this paper, shielded suspended coplanar waveguide with multiple anisotropic substrates is analyzed by the point matching method in the quasi-TEM mode appoximation. The characteristic impedance and the effective dielectric constant are calculated by varying the width of center strip and gap between the center strip and the ground strip. And also the characteristic parameters are calculated as a function of ${\varepsilon}_{x}/{\varepsilon}_{y}$) and a permitivity of the support substrate. Approaching the ground strip to infinity, the values of the characteristic parameters are found to be in good agreement with the other results by variational method.

  • The radiation characteristics of leaky wave emanated from finite strip-grating loaded dielectric coated coaxial waveguide with finite periodic thick slots are investigated theoretically. The rigorous integral equations are derived for the proposed structure using the courier transform, mode expansion, and sine series expansion of the electric current on metallic strips, and the simultaneous linear equations are obtained. The effects of finite strip-grating loading on a dielectric-coated coaxial waveguide with finite periodic thick slots are examined in terms of radiation characteristics.

  • 접지된 유전체 슬랩 위에 주기적으로 스트립 격자가 놓여 있는 주기구조에서 TE 편파된 평면파에 대한 전자파 산란현상을 이론적으로 해석하였다. 제시된 구조를 이론적으로 해석하여 수치 해석한 결과인 유체층의 두께 변화에 대한 반사파 전력과 모드별 계수, 입사각의 변화에 대한 반사파 전력 및 스트립상에 유기되는 전류 등을 제시하였다. 그리고 제시된 구조에서 관찰되는 Bragg blazing 현상에 관해서 상세히 기술하였다.

  • This paper proposes a tension control to compensate friction loss using on-line friction torque observer for a continuous strip processing line. Friction loss of roller results in significant deviation of strip tension. accordingly it has an influence on the operation of other adjacent rolls. To avoid tension variation of the strip, a friction torque observer is designed in adjacent roll, which operates in speed control mode. The experimental results show improvement of tension control performance by the proposed friction compensation method.

  • 이 논문은 Pasternak 지반으로 지지된 변화폭 원호형 띠기초의 휨 자유진동에 관한 연구이다. 단면폭은 띠기초의 중앙점을 중심으로 대칭 일차 함수를 갖는 변화폭으로 선정하였다. 이 연구에서 지반은 전단층을 갖는 탄성지반인 Pasternak 지반으로 모형화 하였고 회전관성과 전단변형을 고려한 곡선 띠기초의 자유진동을 지배하는 상미분방정식을 유도하였다. 이 상미분방정식을 수치해석하여 고유진동수 및 진동형을 산출하였다. 수치해석 예에서는 회전-회전, 회전-고정 및 고정-고정의 3개의 지점조건을 고려하였다. 띠기초의 무차원 변수들이 고유진동수에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다.

  • 2-dimensional scattering problem of electromagnetic waves by a periodic strip grating on a grounded dielectric slab in case of oblique incidence and arbitrary polarization is analyed by the vector Floquet modal expansion method. Solution convergence versus number of Chebyshev polynomial terms representing the unknown strip current density and number of space harmonics is examined, and some numerical results such as variation of power of significant space harmonics(scattered mode) are compared with those obtained by previous method. In particaluar, the relationship between Bragg blazing phonmena and characteristics mode(current) on the srip is discussed in detail.

Mode I Field Intensity Factors of Infinitely Long Strip in Piezoelectric Media

  • We consider the problem of determining the singular stresses and electric fields in a piezoelectric ceramic strip containing a Griffith crack under in-plane normal loading within the framework of linear piezoelectricity. The potential theory method and Fourier transforms are used to reduce the problem to the solution of dual integral equations, which are then expressed to a Fredholm integral equation of the second kind. Numerical values on the field intensity factors are obtained, and the influences of the electric fields for PZT-6B piezoelectric ceramic are discussed.
