모호인식도를 이용한 생산전략의 수립 (The Use of Fuzzy Cognitive Maps for Manufacturing Strategy Formulation)

  • This paper examines the use of fuzzy cognitive maps to help understand manufacturing strategy processes. This technique is illustrated through a case study of a manufacturing strategy formulation. Advantages of fuzzy cognitive maps are highlighted by comparing the level of understanding before and after the technique was used. Testing the Andrews Framework of Strategy Formulation and Implementation: Case Study of the University of Cape Coast Digital Library in Ghana

  • This paper investigates how strategy formulation and implementation processes used by the University of Cape Coast (UCC) in building its digital collections compare with the Andrew's strategic formulation and implementation theoretical framework. Theory-testing case study methodology was used. The data collection instruments were the key informant interview technique and document reviews. During the formulation phase, two aspects (resources and aspirations of senior management) were emergent. During the implementation phase, five aspects (achieving results, processes and behaviour, standards, motivation, personal) were emergent. All other elements of building the UCC digital collections were planned during both the formulation and implementation phases. Although the emphasis on students and learning is laudable and apt, there seems to be lack of focus on research support beyond digital collection building, despite the fact that research excellence is one of the UCC's key priorities. Opportunities exist for improving feedback mechanisms between the users, digital library staff and the university management; and inclusion of social media tools in the digital library project. Since only the experience of a single institution of higher learning is considered, it cannot be definitively stated that strategy formulation and implementation will be similar in every institutional context. However, the results provide a basis for academic digital libraries to draw lessons from this case. In African public universities, there is little earlier research on strategy formulation and implementation in digital library management. Strategy formulation and implementation is a critical issue for higher education academic libraries especially in developing countries like Ghana, due to limited financial resources and the rapid change in the information environment during the last several decades.

Query Formulation for Heuristic Retrieval in Obfuscated and Translated Partially Derived Text

  • Pre-retrieval query formulation is an important step for identifying local text reuse. Local reuse with high obfuscation, paraphrasing, and translation poses a challenge of finding the reused text in a document. In this paper, three pre-retrieval query formulation strategies for heuristic retrieval in case of low obfuscated, high obfuscated, and translated text are studied. The strategies used are (a) Query formulation using proper nouns; (b) Query formulation using unique words (Hapax); and (c) Query formulation using most frequent words. Whereas in case of low and high obfuscation and simulated paraphrasing, keywords with Hapax proved to be slightly more efficient, initial results indicate that the simple strategy of query formulation using proper nouns gives promising results and may prove better in reducing the size of the corpus for post processing, for identifying local text reuse in case of obfuscated and translated text reuse.

An Energy Efficient Algorithm Based on Clustering Formulation and Scheduling for Proportional Fairness in Wireless Sensor Networks

  • In this paper, we investigate the problem of achieving proportional fairness in hierarchical wireless sensor networks. Combining clustering formulation and scheduling, we maximize total bandwidth utility for proportional fairness while controlling the power consumption to a minimum value. This problem is decomposed into two sub-problems and solved in two stages, which are Clustering Formulation Stage and Scheduling Stage, respectively. The above algorithm, called CSPF_PC, runs in a network formulation sequence. In the Clustering Formulation Stage, we let the sensor nodes join to the cluster head nodes by adjusting transmit power in a greedy strategy; in the Scheduling Stage, the proportional fairness is achieved by scheduling the time-slot resource. Simulation results verify the superior performance of our algorithm over the compared algorithms on fairness index.

  • In this paper, the problem of determining the optimal car-deriving strategy has been examined. In order to find the optimal driving strategy, we have modified a method based on measure theory. Further, we demonstrate that the modified method is an efficient and practical algorithm for dealing with optimal control problems in a canonical formulation.

중소기업의 혁신행동에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구: 근무경력과 직급의 조절효과를 중심으로 (A Study on the Factors Affecting Organizational Innovation Behavior of SMEs: Focused on the Moderate Effect of Work Experience and Rank)

  • 중소기업의 경우 최소인원으로 핵심기능만을 조직화한 창업이 늘어나고, 핵심기능에 집중하는 책임경영 체제가 강조되면서 기업의 혁신행동과 생존전략에 대한 관심이 더욱 커지고 있다. 그러나 중소기업의 경우 자본과 전문인력의 부족으로 인해 지속적인 혁신을 추진하기 쉽지 않다. 이에 본 연구는 중소기업의 혁신행동에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위한 목적으로 중소기업에 종사하고 있는 조직원을 대상으로 탐색적 조사 실시와 문헌연구를 통해 변수를 선정하였다. 본 연구를 수행하기 위한 자료는 실제 중소기업에 종사하고 있는 종사원들을 대상으로 설문서를 작성하여 총 배포된 600부 중 545부를 자료 분석에 사용하여, 통계 프로그램 SPSS 21.0과 amos18.0 으로 분석하였다. 가설 검증 결과, 첫째, 제품다각화, 전략수립, 연구개발은 혁신행동에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인 되었고, 시장다각화는 혁신행동에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 조절변수인 근무경력은 제품다각화, 시장다각화, 전략수립 및 연구개발이 혁신행동에 미치는 영향력의 크기를 조절하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 조절변수인 직급은 제품다각화, 시장다각화, 전략수립 및 연구개발이 혁신행동에 미치는 영향력의 크기를 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 결과적으로 제품다각화, 시장다각화 전략수립 및 연구개발과 조직의 혁신 활동을 촉진시키기 위해서는 기업의 관리자가 주도적으로 조직원들을 이끌어야 한다는 것이다. 본 연구는 이상의 연구 결론 및 시사점을 논의한 후, 후속 연구를 위한 연구의 방향을 제시하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 가치혁신역량 진단툴(VIQ)를 활용하여 중소기업의 가치혁신역량을 진단하고 조직혁신전략의 방향을 설정한 사례를 고찰하여 시사점을 도출한다. 조직내 가치혁신을 이루기 위하여 조직내 가치혁신역량이 어느 정도 되는지 측정하는 툴이 바로 가치혁신역량 진단툴인 VIQ(Value Innovation Quotient)이다. 조직내에서는 이러한 가치혁신툴을 통하여 조직혁신역량을 진단하는 것을 넘어서 조직혁신 방향을 설정할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 진단툴을 활용하여 실제로 대덕특구 내에서 성장하고 있는 IT기업을 선정하여 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 혁신전략을 수립한다. VIQ결과를 반영하여 혁신전략은 3가지로 도출되었다. 첫째, 급변하는 외부환경에 대응하기 위하여 비즈니스 인텔리스전스 활동 및 시나리오 플래닝 등 유연한 전략계획 체계를 구축한다. 둘째, 의사결정 차원에서 신속한 의사결정 체계를 구축한다. 셋째, 이러한 전략실행의 기반이 될 수 있도록 유연한 조직체계를 구축한다. 즉, 임파워먼트 및 유연한 의사소통체계를 구축한다. 본 기업분석 사례와 같이 변화와 혁신의 중요성은 많은 기업이 인지하면서도 이러한 변화와 혁신의 잠재력을 측정하기는 쉽지 않으나 VIQ를 활용하여 기업의 현재 혁신역량을 진단하고 향후 대응방안을 모색할 수 있다.

지역산업 발전을 위한 블루오션전략 수립 : 래프팅산업에의 적용 사례 (Formulating Blue Ocean Strategy to Revitalize a Regional Industry : A Case of Rafting Industry in Korea)

  • The framework of "blue ocean strategy (Kim and Mauborgne, 2005)" applies to not only business firm level but also region or regional industry level. The paper suggests an approach of survey-based blue ocean strategy formulation. The result from survey on customer group and non-customer group gives information on positions of value curves for regions on strategy canvas and hints on how to reposition the focal region's value curve for both increases in value for customers and decreases in cost for local government, i.e., value innovation. In the context of rafting industry in Korea, this study shows the process how blue ocean strategy can be formulated with results from the survey on customers and business people in rafting industry. Relative positions of value curves on strategy canvas and importance scores for strategy elements provides the local government in region A with implications on which elements to raise or to reduce to create "blue ocean" in rafting industry under fierce inter-region competition.
