남북한 향토음식에 관한 기호도 및 인지도 분석을 통한 향토음식 상품화 전략 - 서울·경기지역 소비자를 대상으로 - (Commercialization Strategy Based on Analysis of Domestic Consumers' Preference and Awareness on South and North Korean Regional Cuisine - Research on Consumers in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province -)

  • Purpose: This study investigated the preference and awareness of consumers residing in the capital area with respect to South and North Korean regional cuisine to provide baseline data for developing effective commercialization strategies. Methods: This survey was conducted among adults over the age of 19 years who were residing in Seoul and Gyeonggi province area, and data analysis was performed using SPSS WIN 18.0. Results: Analysis of the survey participants' preference for South and North Korean regional cuisine showed that Hwanghae province had the highest preference by $4.35{\pm}1.72$ points, whereas Gangwon province had the lowest preference by $3.75{\pm}0.66$ points. Factorial analysis on general characteristics of Korean regional cuisine resulted in 2 factors - 'locality' and 'health'. Cluster analysis showed that participants could be sorted into two clusters by their awareness of Korean regional cuisine - 'the lower cognitive group' and 'the higher cognitive group'. Cluster analysis on the tourism commercialization strategy for Korean regional cuisines showed that 'the higher cognitive group' had significantly higher awareness regarding the following 3 items: 'merchandising strategy', 'popularization strategy' and 'marketing strategy' (p<0.001). Cluster analysis of the world commercialization strategy showed that 'the higher cognitive group' had significantly higher awareness regarding all items of the 'R&D support strategy' and 'Food culture promotion strategy' categories than the 'the lower cognitive group' (p<0.01). Conclusion: Popularization strategies such as value perception based on the well-being concept, and standardization of recipes; merchandising strategies based on storytelling; and food and culture promotional strategies such as Korean cooking classes and food tasting events, were rated as effective commercialization strategies to increase the popularity of Korean regional cuisine.

  • This study aims to identify the role of science park for technology commercialization and business promotion. After theoretical review about science park and technology commercialization, the instruments for stimulating entrepreneurship and business in science park are described. The experience of Taedok Science Town is examined in terms of main sectors of activities, universities as base for technology transfer and the potential for technology commercialization. In conclusion, the complex model is suggested as the development strategy for business incubation in accordance with the stages of development and active technology commercialization.

Patented Knowledge And Its Commercialization

  • We examine whether the attributes of patented knowledge have any impact on its chances of commercialization. It has been hypothesized that the scope and cumulativeness of patented knowledge would positively affect the likelihood of its commercialization. The hypotheses were tested using patents data on the US biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. We found support for the prediction that the scope of patented knowledge increases the likelihood of commercialization, but we didn't find support for the cumulativeness aspect. These findings have important implications for firms that develop patentable knowledge, license-out patents, license-in patents from external sources, or debate about patenting strategy.

정부 R&D 지원사업의 공공 기술사업화 정책 사례연구: 기술정보 유통 확산을 중심으로 (Government R&D Technology Commercialization Policy Case Study: Focusing on Technical Information Distribution)

  • Purpose - National scientific technology R&D investment is exceeding 60 trillion won per year, and the results of patent applications and technology transfers are visually improving. However, despite the improving research results of national R&D, the practical results of technology startups are mediocre. It is now time to expand the construction of the technology commercialization ecosystem, where the expansion of national R&D leads to the results of technology startups. Therefore, this study discussed the measures to increase the competitiveness of technology startups through the factual survey of the companies that benefitted from R&D support programs. Research design, data, and methodology - This study targeted 996 companies that benefitted from the R&D projects of the Technology Transfer Center for National R&D Programs, and deducted itemized issues through the survey replies. Survey questions were prepared to estimate the national R&D results, and the technology recognition path, the purpose of detailed introduction of the technology, investment of the commercialization fund, economic results, and the factors of success and failure were analyzed. Results - As for the recognition rate of technology during the process of corporate technology commercialization through the technology transfer, recognition through project participation showed a high response rate, and diverse implications of technology commercialization were deducted through the analysis of economic results. As for the resolution alternatives, the proliferation of technology commercialization platform that can create excellent technology for the companies in early stages and the measure of expanding the distribution of technology infrastructure were suggested. In this study, public technology commercialization strategy is established, and the innovative marketing strategy is presented. Conclusions - This study reveal that the result of creating scientific technology jobs should be deducted, in order to produce the revolutionary results of job creation by suggesting the success models of technology commercialization based on domestic scientific technology. In particular, even though the support systems for public research results are being diversely suggested, accurate studies on their actual conditions are currently lacking. Therefore, this study suggest realistic political alternatives to assure results in the process of public technology commercialization, by examining the current state of public research results of R&D support institutions and diagnosing the issues.

저염화 라면의 소비자 선호 분석을 활용한 기술사업화 전략 (Technological Commercialization Strategy based on Consumer Preference Analysis of Low-sodium Instant noodle Ramen)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a technology commercialization strategy by analyzing the consumer preference for low-sodium instant noodle ramen, which has a sodium content of 1,730 mg or less. For the commercialization of such low-sodium ramen, this study examined how much consumers would pay through an analysis of consumer preference by conjoint analysis. This study surveyed 1,004 men and women in their 20 s and 50 s between the ages of 20 and 50 years in Korea using an online survey. If the price of conventional instant noodle ramen is KRW 4,000 (approximately USD 3.57) per 5 packs for one pack of 5 servings in a supermarket, this study surveyed how much more they respondents would pay if the sodium was reduced by 10.0, 20.0, and 30.0%. The study found that if sodium was reduced by 10.0, 20.0, and 30.0%, the respondents would pay as much as KRW 4,180, KRW 4,307, and KRW 4,515, respectively. The attributes of low-sodium instant noodle ramen were examined according to the degree of sodium reduction, vegetable protein ingredients, brand, where to buy and price with each level. The Marginal Willingness To Pay (MWTP) was analyzed as follows. If the sodium content of ramen soup is reduced by 1.0%, the amount that can be paid would be KRW 105.78. Respondents could pay KRW 1,673 more for famous brand ramen than an unknown brand ramen. The study results indicated that when a new product is developed and released, it can be expected to increase sales of the new product by understanding the foreseeable value that consumers could pay for and realize the technological commercialization of the technology.

공공기술이전·사업화 영향요인 및 연구개발 관리전략 (Factors Impacting Public Technology Transfer and Commercialization and Its Strategy for R&D Management)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 공공 기술이전 활성화를 위해서 연구개발 단계에서 선행적으로 도입할 연구개발 관리관점과 전략을 제시하는 것이다. 기술이전 사업화 영향요인은 기술공급자 관점에서 기술미활용 영향요인, 기술수요자 관점에서 기술이전 영향요인과 기업의 사업화 영향요인 등으로 구성하였고, 영향요인을 도출하기 위해서 21세기 프론티어사업단 기술자료를 활용하였다. 기술 미활용에 대한 주요 영향변수는 추가 기술개발, 수요기업의 발굴, 대량생산 기술의 확보와 신뢰성 검증 등으로 나타났고, 기술이전 영향변수는 기술의 우수성(혁신성)과 새로운 시장창출로 나타났다. 기업의 사업화 성공요인은 추가기술 개발과 개량, 연구개발 인력의 우수성과 CEO역량 등으로 도출하였다. 연구개발 기술이전 성과를 개선하기 위해서는 연구개발단계부터 기술이전 사업화 목표를 분명히 하고, 향후 라이선스 관점에서 상용화 가능한 원천형 핵심기술을 창출하여야 한다. 또한 연구개발조직의 성과관리가 정량적 성과보다는 글로벌 기술경쟁력, 상용화 파급효과 등으로 평가된다면, 기술이전 사업화 흐름이 가속화될 수 있을 것이다.

  • 본 연구는 실시간 산사태 모니터링 및 탐지기술에 대한 기술사업화 전략 수립을 목적으로 수행되었다. 해당 기술의 가치를 극대화하고 성공적인 기술사업화 전략 도출을 위해 정성·정량적 방법을 활용하여 통합적인 분석을 수행하였다. 정성적 방법으로 해당 기술의 비즈니스 생태계를 분석하였고, 정량적 방법으로는 관련 특허를 수집하여 주요 출원인과 핵심기술 간 구조를 가시화하였다. 통합적 분석으로는 정성적 및 정량적 분석 각각의 결과를 비즈니스 생태계 관점에서 통합 표시하여 실시간 산사태 모니터링 및 탐지기술의 세부 생태계 영역과 기술의 발전강도 및 현황을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 비즈니스 생태계 내 보완 재 영역의 기술이 발전정도가 높고 관련 주체의 수가 가장 많은 것으로 분석되었으며, 이를 토대로 기술사업화 선순환 시스템 구축을 사업화 전략으로 제시하였다. 기술사업화 선순환 시스템 구축을 위한 세부 전략으로 보완자산을 활용한 기술수요자 탐색과 탐색된 기술수요자를 중심으로 한 기술 예고제를 제시하였다. 도출한 사업화 전략을 활용하여 기술 및 시장의 불확실성이 높은 해당 기술의 사업화 성공가능성을 제고함과 동시에 기술공급자와 기술수요자 간의 연계를 강화하여, 장기적으로 지속적인 경제적 성과를 창출할 것으로 기대된다.

  • Various countries in the world take the lead in investing for new technologies such as NT, BT, and IT, On account of promoting strategy. Nano technology has made significant R&D performances and its commercialization has been remarkably increased. This study has analyzed and conducted research on successful R&D results of NAno technology nin Korea and current status of its commercialization. There by, this study is to provide basic data for establishing efficient commercialization plan of R&D results and for facilitating its early industrialization.

해양과학기술분야 연구개발 결과의 사업화 성공요인에 관한 연구 -질적 연구방법의 혼합적 활용을 중심으로- (An Analysis of Critical Success Factors in Commercialization of R&D Outcomes in Ocean Science and Technology -Through Application of Dual Qualitative Research Methodologies-)

  • This study focuses on systematic structure of factors, which affect commercialization of ocean science and technology (OST), applying both grounded theory methodology (GTM) and semantic network analysis methodology (SNAM) by using in-depth interviews with 8 specialists previously experienced in the same field. This study further focuses on clarification of the distinctiveness and universality of commercialization factors on OST by comparatively analyzing on the commercialization factors of general sciences and technologies. Using SNAM, it was determined that commercialization success required connected support system, government support, technology marketing, technology power and characteristics of commercialized entities, which were identified as dominant factors. GTM presented an outcome that connected support systems among participants in commercialization and found that research institute strategies are significant factors in the core phenomenon of commercialization, while technology marketing, technology power and market-oriented technology are important conditions. In addition, the factors of technology, market, connection of participants and government support of commercialized entities are shown as equally important factors for commercialization of ocean science and technology. Secondly, SNAM results indicate that ocean science characteristics depend on a network of government support, research institute strategy, organization and manpower, capital power, and technology marketing, as these ocean science characteristics have been identified as significant factors in the GTM study. It has been determined that technology, market and government support should be connected in order for commercialization of ocean science and technology (OST). Moreover, commercialization methods, applied to the marketing of commercialization of ocean science and technology is differentiated from others since commercialization success is more relevant to these factors.
