For two well-known modulation methods, stepwise current modulation (SCM) and pulse width modulation (PWM), the effects of driving current modulation conditions on chromaticity were experimentally investigated in a white LED lighting system. For the experimental implementation of both SCM and PWM, a white LED lighting was fabricated using phosphor converted (PC) white light emitting diodes (LEDs) and a driving circuit module was developed. By using them, the variations of illuminance, color coordinates, and spectrum were evaluated under various forward current conditions. Through the analysis in color coordinates, yellow shift in SCM and blue shift in PWM were observed on chromaticity diagrams with increasing average driving current. In addition, in order to analyze color deviation quantitatively, color distance before and after current increase, and the correlated color temperature (CCT) were calculated. As a result, for the white LED lighting in both modulation conditions, the maximum difference in the calculated CCT was obtained close to 1000 K. It means that careful consideration is required to be taken in the design of illumination systems to avoid serious problems such industrial accidents.
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to determine effect of incivility, resilience, and social support experienced by nursing students on burnout in clinical practice. Methods: Subjects were 140 nursing students who agreed to participate in this study. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS WIN 23.0 program. Results: Burnout showed significantly positive correlation with incivility but significantly negative correlations with resilience and social support. Factors affecting burnout were satisfaction with major-dissatisfaction, satisfaction with major-average, social support, grade, and relationship with peers. Satisfaction with major (dissatisfaction) had the greatest effect on burnout, explaining 41% of the total variance. Conclusion: According to this study, dissatisfaction with major was identified as the most significant factor influencing burnout of nursing students in clinical practice. Therefore, it is important to develop and implement programs that can reduce dissatisfaction with major and increase social support and relationship with peers in order to lower burnout of nursing students. In addition, a systemic management of fourth-grade students with a high level of clinical practice is necessary to reduce the level of clinical practice. The authors declared no conflict of interest.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore factors influencing for intention to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in undergraduate nursing students. Methods: A total of 146 students at G University participated in this descriptive study. With a self-administered questionnaire, the data were collected from November 26 to November 30, 2018. Results: In this study, intention to perform CPR had significant positive correlations with attitude of CPR (r=60, p<.001), self-efficiency of CPR (r=.53, p<.001), and confidence in automated external defibrillator (AED) utilization (r=.47, p<.001). Stepwise multiple regression analysis showed that factors influencing for intention to perform CPR were attitude of CPR (${\beta}=.60$, p<.001) and confidence in AED utilization (${\beta}=.26$, p<.001). Overall, approximately 41% of the variability in intention to perform CPR was explained by these variables ($R^2=.41$, F=50.04, p<.001). Conclusion: In order to promote the intention to carry out CPR among nursing college students, it will be necessary to develop strategies to strengthen a positive attitude toward CPR in fundamental nursing and clinical nursing practices in addition to improve confidence in AED utilization.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to explore and describe the influencing factors in preventive behavior of tuberculosis among elementary school teachers. For the cryopreservation of human embryos this study was accomplished as a preliminary experiment. The purpose of this study is to obtain optimal cryoprotectant, addition and dilution method of cryoprotectant and cooling rate for raising survival of frozon and thawed 2-cell mouse embryos. Seeding was done at $-7^{\circ}C$ and the straw contained embryos was plunged at $-30^{\circ}C$ when the slow cooling was ended. Embryos those developed normally to blastocyst after in vitro culture for over 96 hours were regarded as survival ones. The survival was the rate of number of survival embryos against the recovered embryos. The results are followed : 1. The survivals were 6.3, 71.2 and 67.4% respectively, when Glycerol, DMSO and 1,2-Propanediol were used as cryoprotectant. 2. When sucrose was added in freezing solution, the survival was 69.0%. That was higher than the survival of embryos frozen without sucrose in freezing solution. The difference was not significant. 3. Addition and dilution of cryoprotectant by 4 stepwise raised the survival than by direct, but that was not significant. 4. When embryos were frozen by -0.3, -0.5 and $-1^{\circ}C/min$ before plunged into $LN_2$, the survivals were 67.9, 78.0 and 37.0% respectively. The differnce was significant.
