본 연구는 통계적 소양 교육을 실천하기 위해 초등학교 통계교육의 주된 내용 요소에 해당하는 그래프 지도 중 특히 오류의 유형화에 주목하였다. 구체적으로 문헌 분석을 통해 통계적 문제해결의 관점에서 그래프의 교수학적 의의와 구성 요소를 확인하였고, 이를 표현하는 과정에서 나타나는 오류를 분류하여 각 사례들을 자료 분석 단계에서의 통계 윤리 문제와 연결하였다. 연구 결과, 그래프 오류 유형은 범주 표현에서의 오류, 빈도 표현에서의 오류, 맥락 제시에서의 오류로 분류할 수 있었고, 이러한 오류로 인해 자료 분석 단계에서 주관적인 분석 방법 채택, 시각적 착시현상 유도, 자료에 대한 정보 왜곡과 같은 통계 윤리 문제가 발생할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 그리고 우리나라 초등학교 수학과 교육과정에서는 오류를 범하지 않도록 정형화된 틀을 제공하고 그 틀에 맞춰 그래프를 그리는 절차에 주목하는 경향이 있었다. 이를 통해 그래프 오류 유형이 초등학교 통계교육에 제공하는 시사점을 통계적 소양 교육, 통계 윤리, 교사 지식의 관점에서 제시하였다.

This study attempts to examine statistical tasks in the middle-school mathematics textbooks of Korea and Connected Mathematics 3 [CMP] of the US in terms of an opportunity-to-learn for statistical reasoning. We utilized an analytical framework consisting of types of context, statistical reasoning level, cognitive demand of the tasks, and types of student response. The findings from the task analysis suggested that Korean textbooks focused on finding answers by applying previously learned algorithms or formulas and thus provided students with very limited opportunities to experience statistical reasoning. Also, the results proposed that the mathematical tasks in statistics unit of CMP3 offer more essential and complex tasks that promote students' conceptual understanding of various statistical ideas and statistical reasoning in a meaningful way.

Korea has the most level of Internet Infrastructure in the world. But, in the educational aspect, it does not have an enough foundation about Statistical Education. In this paper we consider the methods of activation about statistics. Also, we present what is the Enterprise Guide and what does it have characteristics as statistical analysis tool from educational point of view. And we suggest a new paradigm in statistical education.

초 중 고등학교 확률 및 통계교육 시 우리는 통계패키지로서 R을 사용할 수 있다. R은 대화식 처리방식을 따르기 때문에 배우기가 쉽다. 또한 R에서의 그래픽스는 아주 강력하다. 가장 큰 장점은 R의 사용이 무료라는 것이다. 이러한 많은 장점을 갖고 있는 R을 초 중 고등학교 확률 및 통계교육 현장에서 사용하는 표준 통계패키지로서 고려할 필요가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze whether spreadsheet-used instruction can improve statistical thinking ability and attitude and also to identify what characteristics of statistical thinking is constructed. For this study, a subject of 2 classes were randomly selected among the 12 classes of the 11th grader in D high school and designated one class as the experimental group and the other class as the control group. Eight hours of the spread sheet-used instruction and the traditional textbook-oriented instruction had been carried out in each class. The research findings are as follows. First, the spread sheet-used instruction is shown to be more effective in enhancing statistical thinking than the traditional textbook-oriented instruction. Second, the spread sheet-used instruction is shown to be more effective in improving statistical attitude than the traditional textbook-oriented instruction. Third, students have shown the various characteristics of statistical thinking in the data descriptive process, data arrange-summary process, data representing process, and data analying process through the spread sheet-used instructions. Hence, the spread sheet-used instruction is recommended in teaching statistics.

본 연구에서는 미국의 통계소양교육에 관한 내용과 우리나라 2015교육과정 수학교과에서 반영한 통계소양 성취를 위한 교육환경을 분석하였다. 이 분석 연구를 통해 미국과 우리나라는 사회적 교육적 환경의 차이점이 있음을 발견할 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 우리나라 수학교사들에게 통계교사교육 방향의 전환이 시급함을 발견 할 수 있었다. 첫째, 통계교육은 우선 교사가 수학과 통계학의 차이를 분명히 인식하는 것이 필요하다. 그리고 통계교육의 방법과 평가영역에서도 특별한 변화가 필요하다. 절차적 계산을 질문하는 것과 함께 개념과 과정을 이해했는지도 물어야 한다. 또한 통계적 사고를 할 수 있는지 그리고 통계적 문제해결방법인 '문제구성-데이터수집-분석-결과해석' 과정으로 프로젝트를 수행할 수 있도록 하는 교사교육이 필요하다. 둘째, 현재는 예비수학교사들이 임용고사라는 확률론 중심의 이론적 시험에 합격해야하는 필요에 의해 이론 공부에 치중하고 있다. 그러나 학교수학에서는 확률론 영역의 이론 강조도 중요하지만 자료 분석을 기초로 한 문제해결과정인 통계적 사고력 신장에 초점이 맞추어져야 하는 것이 더 중요하다고 생각한다. 특히 학교수업을 통해 학생들에게 미래에 필요한 통계소양을 지식으로 습득할 수 있도록 지도할 수 있는 수학교사들의 전문성향상을 위한 통계교육담당 수학교사로서의 직업교육의 준비가 되어 있어야 함을 탐색하고 제언하였다.

교사의 통계적 추론과 사고를 개발하는 것은 예비교사 대상의 통계교육에서 이루어져야 하는 중요한 역할이다. 본 연구에서는 특히, 예비초등교사들이 통계의 핵심 아이디어에 대한 추론을 발달시키기 위한 방안으로서 두 자료집합 비교하기 과제의 활용에 주목하였다. 24명의 예비초등교사들이 4명씩 6개 모둠으로 과제를 수행하고 이를 발표하게 함으로써 자료를 수집하였고, 두 자료집합 비교 활동에서 확인된 Pfannkuch(2006)의 추론 모델을 바탕으로 이를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 연구 참여자들은 두 자료집합 비교하기 과제를 통해 통계적 문제해결을 위해 분포와 변이성에 주목하였고, 의사결정을 위해 맥락적 지식을 고려하는 모습을 보였다. 또한, 통계적 의사소통을 위한 주된 참조물로서 통계량과 그래프를 활용하였는데, 이는 절차적 지식에 고착화된 전통적 통계교육을 개선하기 위한 주요한 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 이를 통해, 두 자료집합 비교하기 과제가 예비초등교사교육에서 지니는 가능성을 확인함과 동시에 활용 방안에 대한 제언을 도출하였다.

본 연구는 통계적 문제해결 과정의 관점에서, 우리나라 초등 수학교과서의 통계 영역 지도 방식을 분석하였다. 그 결과 통계적 문제 해결의 4단계 중에서 자료 분석단계에 대한 집중도가 심한 것으로 드러났고, 문제 설정과 자료 수집, 결과 해석단계의 비중이 매우 저조한 것으로 분석되었다. 이를 토대로 초등 수학교과서의 통계 영역 교과서 개발과 관련된 시사점을 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study is to develope a program for statistics education. This program deals with simulation which is helpful in understanding some elementary statistical concepts. This program under multimedia environment which includes sound video animation etc. doesn't show only the result but make it possible for students to execute the program by stages. This type of dynamic learning is efficient to overcome the limits of teaching materials or classroom work. Also it can interest students greatly. By executing it the students can understand the method and meaning of simulation and acquire concepts of probability and statistical inference naturally.
