In this paper, the Lagrange dynamics is studied. A state space representation of Lagrange dynamics and control algorithm based on the state feedback pole placement are presented. The state space model presented is descriptor type linear parameter dependent system. It is shown that the control algorithms based on the linear system theory can be applicable to the state space representation of Lagrange dynamics. To show that the linear system theory can be applicable to the state space representation of Lagrange dynamics, the LMI based regional pole-placement design algorithm is developed and present two examples.
White noise distribution theory over the complex Gaussian space is established on the basis of the recently developed white noise operator theory. Unitarity condition for a white noise operator is discussed by means of the operator symbol and complex Gaussian integration. Concerning the overcompleteness of the exponential vectors, a coherent sate representation of a white noise function is uniquely specified from the diagonal coherent state representation of the associated multiplication operator.
Paul Churchland(1989) suggests the theory of representation from the results of cognitive biology and connectionist AI studies. According to the theory, our representations of the diverse phenomena in the world can be represented as the positions of phase state spaces with the actions of the neurons or of the assembly of neurons. He insists connectionist AI neural networks can have the semantical category systems to recognize the world. But Fodor and Lepore(1996) don't look the perspective bright. From their points of view, the Churchland's theory of representation stands on the base of Quine's holism, and the network semantics cannot explain how the criteria of semantical content similarity could be possible, and so cannot the theory. This thesis aims to excavate which one is the better between the perspective of the theory and the one of Fodor and Lepore's. From my understandings of state space theory of representation, artificial nets can coordinates the criteria of contents similarity by the learning algorithm. On the basis of these, I can see that Fodor and Lepore's points cannot penetrate the Churchlands' theory. From the view point of the theory, we can see how the future's artificial systems can have the conceptual systems recognizing the world. Therefore we can have the perspectives what cognitive scientists have to focus on.
In this paper, dynamic modeling and adaptive control problems for a space robot system are discussed. The space robot consist of a robot manipulator mounted on a free-floating base where no attitude control is applied. Using an extended robot model, the entire space robot can be viewed as an under-actuated robot system. Based on nonlinear control theory, the extended space robot model can then be decomposed into two subsystems: one is input-output exactly linearizable, and the other is unlinearizable and represents an internal dynamics. With this decomposition, a normal form-augmentation approach and an augmented state-feedback control are proposed to facilitate the design of adaptive control for the space robot system against parameter uncertainty, unknown dynamics and unmodeled payload in space applications. We demonstrate that under certain conditions, the entire space robot can be represented as a full-actuated robot system to avoid the inclusion of internal dynamics. Based on the dynamic model, we propose an adaptive control scheme using Cartesian space representation and demonstrate its validity and design procedure by a simulation study.
This paper presents an analysis of the man-machine control system. A man-machine system depends on the performance of a human operator for proper operation. The analysis method is based upon the assumption that human operator will act in a near optimal controller. Optimal control theory and its associated state space representation is used as the basis for the analytic procedure. The computer simulation for a given plant shows that plant parameters have limited range by the human operator.

In recent years, micro-grid has been widely focused on the fields of renewal energy systems. This paper proposes a novel robust power converter control against arbitrary electric load changes for islanded micro-grid topology. First, we provide a state-space representation of our micro-grid model including power converter and electric load circuit. And then a state feedback control method is applied to construct a nominal control framework. Next, we propose a robust adaptive control law to enhance a control performance against unexpected load perturbation. In addition, we analytically investigate a passivity property for the micro-grid model and carry out computer simulation to demonstrate superiority and reliability of the proposed control methodology.
This essay is an attempt to give a theoretical articulation of novelistic mimesis as the narrative form of modernity. With the passage to modernity, what assumes the locus of the symbolic authority is no longer God, Father, or tradition, but the cultural gaze or the ego-ideal. At the same time, this gaze paradoxically coalesces with the "spectacle of the world," on the side of the reified "other": the gaze is both the desexualized ego-ideal and its instantaneous transmogrification and resexualization in the opaque world of objects. The imaginary ego or the eye on the side of the subject of representation is held at abeyance in a state of perpetual fascination and desperation in relation to the gaze as the world of "others," which lies always at one remove from the purview of the imaginary ego. This understanding of the inadequation of the ego to the cultural gaze of the reified world provides a critical fulcrum upon which I base my theory of the modern narrative mimesis as the "perverse" field of spatial arrangement, in which the split of the subjectivity into the imaginary ego and the ego-ideal is suspended over the phantasmatic world of bodies and territories.

A recursive algorithms for prediction of streamflows by Kalman filtering theory and Self-tuning predictor based on the state space description of the dynamic systems have been studied and the applicabilities of the algorithms to the rainfall-runoff processes have been investigated. For the representation of the dynamics of the processes, a low-order ARMA process has been taken as the linear discrete time system with white Gaussian disturbances. The state vector in the prediction model formulated by a random walk process. The model structures have been determined by a statistical analysis for residuals of the observed and predicted streamflows. For the verification of the prediction algorithms developed here, the observed historical data of the hourly rainfall and streamflows were used. The numerical studies shows that Kalman filtering theory has better performance than the Self-tuning predictor for system identification and prediction in rainfall-runoff processes.
What is an exhibition? Is it of the system which is designed to serve Art Works in their representation, or is it a place where the artistic presentation could be considered as art work itself? After modernist era, the role of exhibitional space might have been shifted from those two principle raison d'$\^{e}$tre of exhibitional space into another, a new one. What Deleuze would call it as he borrowed the term from Spinozian philosophy : the Affectional Space. This new type of exhibitional space has been announced since 1969 when a Harald Szeeman, young independent curator and art critic from Swiss, has organized his brilliant exhibition "When Attitudes become Form" in Bern. For sure, these intensities in curatorial practices have been existing before like some early 20th century exhibitional efforts by Marcel Duchamp, El Lissitzky, Yve Klein, etc. It has influenced much on many of, otherwise most of contemporary art exhibiting practices. And now it seems to be necessary to give it a conceptual idea which could enlighten better the new paradigm of exhibitional practices that we try to clarify. I would propose the idea of that new exhibitional space as "space of non-organic becoming". This idea is inspired by Deleuze's ever famous philosophical work Thousand Plateaus, which, with Folds by the same author, has contributed to many contemporary and aesthetical debating issues. What is "affect"? Explaining about Spinoza's principle concepts, Deleuze defines it as a kind of durations or variations which are constituted by different levels of perfection. One perfection is precedented or followed by certain perfection bigger or lesser through lived transitions or passages. So each time it actualizes and reflects the state of All as a cut of Reality while each state of affections, images or ideas can not be separated from the duration which binds it to the precedent state and extends it to following one. Affect is also a term of changes. One affects at the same time it is affected. Exhibitional space as affect (or affectional space) is distinguished from representational and presentational space in the way it attributes movement, produces arrangements and generates new factors of artistic creation including those which are outside of ever accepted artistic elements. The concepts of affectional space are used especially to enlighten contemporary situation of artistic and curatorial processes. Art is no more limited to be seen as mere objects of aesthetical admiration, nor as art vis-$\`{a}$-vis art relationship apart from the whole. It includes possibilities and virtuality that appear in the imperceptible and undescribable manners if delimited in given language. As once noticed by Kuhn, we might be living in a paradigmatically shifting world, not only in Art but also in Life. And we need to express it more with Art as moving and affectional nods than as just a clean window or a distinct manual book.

This study is a proposal, which is the trial to explicate, in neurology, on how critical thinking as a creative method of sciences functions. The creative methods of sciences, even at present, are mostly the hypothetical insistences concerning with the logical processes of researches suggested from the philosophers of science; Popper, Kuhn, Hempel, or Lakatos. These insistences do excavate what process or approach can be scoped out of scientists' creativity. I call the tendency or approach of the researches, "Process Approach of Creativity (PAC)". From my view point, any PAC trial does not concern with how creative theories can actually be invented. On the other hand, this study is focused on the philosophical thinking abilities of scientists who invented new great theories. They mostly had some experiences to study philosophy while studying their science fields, thus had critical thinking abilities on their studies. From my point of view, critical thinking in philosophy raised questions as to their fundamental and basic (old) concepts and principles, and thus gave them new creative theories. I will try to explain this from the point of neurophilosophy. From the perspectives coming from "the state space theory of representation" of Paul & Patricia Churchland, the pioneers of neurophilosphy, the "creative theories" are the networks of topographic maps giving new comprehensive explanations and predictions. From these perspectives, I presuppose that the attitude of critical questioning revises the old networks of maps with back-propagation or feedback, and thus, is the generative power of searching new networks of maps. From the presupposition, I can say, it is important that scientists reflect on the basic premises in their academic branches for issuing out extraordinary creativity. The critical attitude of philosophy can make scientists construct the maps of new conceptual scheme by shaking the maps of the old basic premises. From this context, I am able to propose "Critical Thinking Approach of Creativity (CTAC)".
