  • Investigation is performed on the stability of general form of dynamic system whose damping and stiffness are varying in irregular manner along time, which is a preliminary result in the course of research on the characteristic and the control of the stochastic system. The governing equation of the 'parametric' system is derived via F-P-K approach in stochastic sense. The influence on the stability due to the magnitude of auto power spectral density and cross power spectral density of random variation of system parameters is studied and the region is surveyed.

  • To assure the reliability of cylinders or shells with fluid-filled annulus, it is necessary to investigate the modal characteristics considering fluid-structure interaction effect. In this study, theoretical background and several finite element models are developed for cylindrical shells with fluid-filled annulus considering fluid-structure interaction. The effect of the inclusion of the fluid-filled annulus on the natural frequencies is investigated, which frequencies are used for typical dynamic analyses such as responses spectrum, power spectral density and unit load excitation. Their response characteristics are addressed with respect to the various representations of the fluid-structure interaction effect.

  • This paper examined dynamic characteristics of high speed trains using a time varying frequency transform. Fourier transform based methods are frequently used for the calculation of the dynamic characteristics of trains in the frequency domain, but they cannot represent the time-varying characteristics. Therefore it is necessary to examine their characteristics using a time-varying frequency transform. For the examination, the non-stationary vibration of wheelset, bogie, and carbody are measured using accelerometers and stored in a data aquisition system. They are processed with localization of the data by modulating with a window function, and Fourier transform is taken to each localized data, called the short-time Fourier transform. From the processed results, time varying auto-spectral density, cross-spectral density, frequency response, and coherence functions have been calculated. From the analysis, it is confirmed that the time varying frequency transform is a useful method for analyzing the dynamic characteristics of high speed trains.

주행안정성을 고려한 고속철도 콘크리트궤도 레일패드강성 상한값 결정 (Determination of the Upper Limit of Railpad Stiffness in Concrete Track of High-Speed Railways Considering the Running Stability of Train)

  • 본 연구에서는 경부고속철도의 콘크리트궤도에서 열차주행안전측면에서 관리해야할 레일패드강성의 상한값을 차량 및 궤도의 동특성과 운영환경을 고려하여 결정하는 방법을 제시하였다. 차량과궤도의 상호작용의 해석의 중요 입력파라메타인 궤도틀림과 관련하여 프랑스 및 독일에서 제시한 궤도틀림 PSD(Power Spectral Density)와 경부 1단계구간 콘크리트궤도에서 계측한 궤도틀림 자료를 통하여 얻은 PSD를 기초로 하여 넓은 범위의 주파수영역에서 적용할 수 있는 콘크리트궤도의 궤도틀림 PSD를 제시하였다. 제시된 PSD 기준모델을 사용하여 시간영역에서의 궤도틀림 입력을 Random Generation을 통하여 구한 후 개발된 차량-궤도 상호작용해석 기법을 사용하여 레일패드에 따른 윤중감소율을 산정하였다. 산정된 윤중감소율에 대하여 국내 철도차량 안전기준에 관한 규칙의 탈선계수 규정을 적용하여 주행안전측면에서 허용할 수 있는 레일패드강성의 상한값을 제시하였다.

  • This paper describes the EMG signals in frequency domain using power spectral density, The changes in the moan frequency can represent the energy distribution which results from changing in load before and during fatigue. Most of EMG signal power spectrum is located between 10 and 200Hz. Shifts of the high-energy regions of the power spectra can be inferred from the changes in the mean frequency. If the load is increased without fatigue-ocurring, the high frequency regions have more energy than the low frequency regions. And if load is increased during fatigue, the low frequency regions have more energy than the high frequency regions.

  • An analysis of the 1/f or flicker noise in FD n-channel Double Gate SOI MOSFET is proposed. In this paper, the variation of power spectral density (PSD) of the equivalent noise voltage and noise current with respect to frequency, channel length and gate-to-source voltage at various temperatures and exponent $C(i.e\;1/f^c$ is reported. The temperature is varied 125 K from to room temperature. The variation of PSD with respect to channel length down to $0.1{\mu}m$ technology is considered. It is analyzed that l/f noise in FD n-channel Double Gate SOI MOSFET is due to both carrierdensity fluctuations and mobility-fluctuations. But controversy still exits to its origin.

저항판 스트립 회절격자에 의한 E-분극산란 (E-Polarized Scattering by a Resistive Strip Grating)

  • The E-polarized scattering problem by a resistive strip grating is analyzed by the method of moments in the spectral domain. For an E-polarized scattering, the induced current density is expected to blow up at both edges. Then the induced surface current density on the strip is expanded in a series of the multiplication of Ultraspherical polynomials with zeroth order and functions with appropriate edge condition. The expansion coefficients are calculated numerically in the spectral domain. When the resistivity of the strip becomes 0, the numerical results agree with those of a perfectly conducting strip srating. And the convergence of the moment-method solutions is very much improved using the basis functions proposed in this paper, compared with that of the existing exponential functions.

  • 이 논문은 무선통신 및 신호전송에 있어 가장 큰 장해가 되고 있는 잡음과 혼신이 신호에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 이로부터 신호검출이 가능한 범위를 찾기 위해 반도체 소자에 의한 확산잡음을 발생시켜 수신기에 주입한 결과 Random processes에 의한 Noise spectral density의 Level이 평균잡음세력과 신호 사이에서 error 발생의 원인이었으며 수신기의 threshold 전압이 기존신호에 섞인 white Gaussian Noise와 상호관계에 있음이 실험결과 확인되었다.

  • Coexistence analysis is extremely important in examining the possibility for spectrum sharing between orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM)-based international mobile telecommunications (IMT)-Advanced and other wireless services. In this letter, a new closed form method is derived based on power spectral density analysis in order to analyze the coexistence of OFDM-based IMT-Advanced systems and broadcasting frequency modulation (FM) systems. The proposed method evaluates more exact interference power of IMT-Advanced systems in FM broadcasting systems than the advanced minimum coupling loss (A-MCL) method. Numerical results show that the interference power is 1.3 dB and 3 dB less than that obtained using the A-MCL method at cochannel and adjacent channel, respectively. This reduces the minimum separation distance between the two systems, which eventually saves spectrum resources.

반도체 광증폭기내의 Highly Nondegenerate Four-Wave Mixing에 의한 파장변환의 해석 (Analysis of wavelength conversion by highly nondegenerate four-wave mixing in a semiconductor optical amplifier)

  • 본 논문에서는 반도체 광증폭기내에서 four-wave mixing을 발생시키는 spectral hole burning을 더욱 정확하게 해석하기 위하여 밀도행렬을 기존의 방법에 비하여 정확하게 푸는 방법에 대하여 설명하고 이러한 밀도행렬에 대한 수치해석을 실시하여 그 해를 구한다. 이렇게 구한 결과를 통해 반도체 광증폭기내에서의 four-wave mixing에 의한 파장변환을 설명하는 결합 파동 방정식을 유도하고 이것의 해를 구하여 반도체 광증촉기에서의 파장변환이 어떻게 발생하는 지를 설명하고 3차 섭동을 이용하여 계산된 기존의 결과와 비교한다.
