The purpose of this study was to analyze the current implementation states of the differentiated curriculum at the middle school and to propose ways to improve it. For that purpose this study conducted a survey and had the interviews with the middle school mathematics teachers. The items of survey and interviews consisted of the two main parts: current states and needs about the special supplementary courses and enriched supplementary courses. The results showed that there were discrepancies between the current states and the needs of the differentiated curriculum. This means the efforts to improve the current states are needed. The strategies for improving the implementation of the differentiated curriculum are as follows: 1. The use of various standards including the subject-achievement level and students' or parents' opinions is needed in selecting the students of special supplementary course. 2. More relevant special supplementary materials need to be developed and utilized. 3. The ability grouping is recommended for the differentiated instruction. 4. The deliberation of developing the enriched and supplementary texts is requested. 5. The study for differentiated evaluation of students is demanded.

This study is to survey and analyze the opinion of teachers about the relevance of educational content in the 7th mathematics curriculum. For the purpose of this study, we analyze the result of the questionnaire survey which consists in the question about the relevance(Quantity, level, validity) of educational content in the 7th mathematics curriculum. 515 elementary school teachers, 314 middle school teachers, and 323 high school teachers are participated in this survey. 75 percent of elementary school teachers think that the educational quantity must be reduced for the relevance of educational content. So do 50 percent of secondary school teachers. Both of them think that the number of topic must be reduced for the relevance. In special, this study shows that the response rate about the object which is related with interest is very low compared with any other mathematics education objects. So, it is necessary to pay more attention to the object which is related with interest.

Three main results were revealed. First, preservice elementary teachers' the attitude toward science and science process skills could not show the significant differences by gender. This result is differ from the results of preceding researches which had set up the students of elementary, middle and high school as objects. Second, the properties of preservice elementary teachers' the attitude toward science and science process skills according to the course in high school were also differ from those of preceding researches having students as objects. The preservice elementary teachers who got the literary courses in high school were more confident in science learning and perform that those who have the academic background of science courses in high school. In addition, although they showed better abilities in two sub-scales of science process skills, the preservice teachers with science course didn't show the better science process skills than those who had taken the literary course in total score of science process skill test. Third, there was a significant relationship between attitude toward science and science process skills of preservice elementary teachers but just one sub-scale was related with science process skills. According to these results, it can be said that the preceding results with students as objects can not be applied to and preservice elementary teachers should be guided by the methods which are considering their special properties.

To instruct in accordance with learner's trait & preceding knowledge, letting the learner control the learning activities is the important task of educator & major goal of the Education Department this year. This article intends to provide useful Instructional Model for the teachers in fisheries marine high school, when they design the individualized teaching model using motivation. One of the major reason for the fisheries marine high school students' low learning achievement is due to the neglecting motivation elements in teaching - learning processes. Recently, with assistance of the information communication technology development, various teaching methods such as Individualized Multimedia Mediated Instruction, Internet Instruction, have come to the major method in activating motivation and computer-mediated instruction considering the learner's individual difference is the useful tools for the instructional efficiency. Because current navigation text book of fisheries marine high school have special characteristic considering the spacial context & time series from departing port to entering port, Teachers can maximize learner's learning accomplishment by using individualized multimedia & providing similar situation like a real navigation(simulating), representing this text characteristics. Thus this paper searches for the specifications of Keller's Motivation Model & Sweeter's Tutorial Model to solve instructional efficiency problems in fisheries marine high school & developed an efficient instructional design by integrating two models.
This study examined the process of admission selection of vocational high schools and meister high schools and how the process have been utilized by schools to select appropriate students and by students to make decisions for application in consideration of their interests, aptitudes, and career paths. To address the purpose of this study, Focus Group Interviews(FGI) were conducted with three groups of participants: vocational high schools and meister high schools teachers, high school freshmen' parents, and middle school teachers who had many students advanced to vocational and meister high schools. The findings indicated that during the promotion process, schools made efforts to attract students with higher GAP and provided information mainly regarding employment rate instead of curriculum or program of majors. Since schools usually visited middle schools where higher GPA students were, not all students had balanced opportunities of high school promotions and enough information about majors. For the application process, the schools placed a high value on scholastic performance while students applied high schools considering their interests, aptitudes, and career paths. In terms of admission type and criteria, the high school teachers reported no big differences between special admission and general admission while students took advantage from the special admission process which was less competitive than general admission. Based on the findings, a number of suggestions were made in order to improve the process of admission selection of vocational high schools and meister high schools.

The purpose of this study is to provide the configuration alternatives for the special classroom of the elementary school reflecting current trends of the health promotion education. Initiated by WHO(World Health Organization), the concept of health-promoting school has been widely advocated as an approach to enhance public health through school based health promotion. Korean Ministry of Education has also adopted the concept and many elementary schools has been participating in developing the curricula and educating students as the health promoting model schools. This study analyzes methodologies and education programs of current health promoting curriculum of the schools since 2009, explores the spacial features of other public facilities offering similar education program and surveys relating teachers. Based on the analysis, the study seeks the basic elements for health promoting classroom and deduces several classroom space configurations to optimize students' learning effects. This study can be a case method for other classroom typology studies especially with the current diversification tendency of elementary school education services.
Elementary education in Korea has variously changed and developed during the last thirty years. Among all the progressive changes, the improvement of teaching conditions is considered to be the most fundamental one. The number of students assigned to a class or a teacher has decreased to a considerable extent. Cyber teaching-learning has been peformed at school and home, and English education has been emerged as a significant part of the Korean public education. The research issues constantly considered essential over the past three decades starting in the 1980's are those related to curricula, teaching-learning methods, training of teachers in-service, and education for upright characters. The practical and political issues should be dealt with to revise the three integrated subjects and text books into a sole integrated subject and text book, to double the credential of teachers in terms of professionalism and to decrease the number of students per teacher in Korea to the OECD level.
With the growing acceptance of the educational benefits for the use of robot- based teaching, their use in classrooms is increasing. However, the vast majority of studies taking place are based within normal classroom environment. Therefore, this study was focused on the adaptations that need to be made for the use of robot-based teaching within a special-needs environment, specifically a program for pre-service teachers of a special needs Elementary school. The results indicate robot-based teaching has a place within special education and it is hoped that this study will spur further investigation into the field.
