In this paper, we propose impr oved binary tree vector quantization based on spatial sensitivity which is one of the human visual properties. We combine the weights based on spatial masking effect according to changes of three primary colors in blocks of images with the process of splitting nodes using eigenvector in binary tree vector quantization. The test results show that the proposed method generates the quantized images with fine color and performs better than the conventional method in terms of clustering the similar regions. Also the proposed method can get the better result in subjective qualify test and PSNR.
This paper is proposed the wavelet morphology algorithm with the spatial auto-object segmentation concept and the clustering concept. When it is segmented the color face by using the proposed algorithm, it is made to the simple image. Also, it is used the spatial quality in order to segment and detect the image as a real time without the user's manufacturing. This removed a small part that is regarded as a noise in image by HSV color model and applied the wavelet morphology to remove a part excepting for the face image. In this paper, it is made a comparison between the wavelet morphology algorithm and the morphology algorithm. And It is showed to accurately detect the face object parts in the image appled to HSV color space model.

This study performed an physical analysis on the characteristics of urban environmental sound divided into three parts depending on their features. Object sounds were classified into traffic sound, waster sound and spatial sound. Traffice sound was selected because it is dominant sound in urban environment, and water sound is selected because it generally supplies pleasantness in contrast to traffic sound, Finally spatial sound was considered because it represents sound in various places of city having lots of behaviors and types of sound due to them. Physcal analysis was carried out using sound quality indices based on Zwicker's loudness, $L_{Aeq}$(equivalent noise level), Ln(percentile noise level) and other acoutical attributes applied to previous study. Through the analysis, this study aims to compare the acoustical characteristics of urban environmental sound and to provide fundamental data for the evaluation of urban environmental sound.

According to the increase of demand for diverse multimedia services, techniques to use images as the tool of information transmission have been rapidly developed. However, impulse noise affecting the reception of image and signal error occurs in the process of digitalization and transmission of images. In order to remove this impulse noise, a nonlinear filter is generally applied and a standard median (SM) filter is representative. However, SM filter degrades the qualify of overall image by error of the edge component. Therefore, in this paper, to restore the corrupted image by impulse noise, a nonlinear spatial filter based on Min-max operation was proposed and was compared with conventional methods through simulations.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the correlation between spatial space structure and visitors' behavior and interpret visitors' behavior concretely from the aspect of exhibition environments. So, this study intends to qualify spatial space structure with integration, connectivity and control value by utilizing space syntax, limit to tracking score among the analysis index and reinterpret with exhibition density and extend of eyesight among the exhibition environments. The results of this study are as follows; First, in case of museums, tracking score shows plus correlation with connectivity and control value among the space syntax variables and very low correlation with integration. In case of art museums, tracking score shows plus correlation with integration and wide variable is judged to more useful to analyze visitor's behavior than minor variable. Second, museums doesn't make a great effect on visitors' behavior from the aspect of extent of eyesight, but from the aspect of exhibition density, visitors relatively watched evenly without short cut at the early stage of exhibition in spite of high exhibition density. And, they conducted short cut as they went to the middle stage of exhibition on the course of watching although the numerical value of exhibition density is low. Third, in case of art museums, visitors' behavior was relatively influenced by exhibition density, not extent of eyesight. But, as they went to the high level on the course of watching, watching speed became rapid and watching length became short in the place the value of extent of eyesight was high. Its reason is judged to be easy to grasp position or space structure of the next exhibition room visually. Therefore, when the concentration of watching is necessary from the aspect of exhibition, to control exhibition density properly before the space is useful to draw visiting to exhibition space afterward.

This study is aimed to improve the quality of image fusion results through shadow effects correction. For this, shadow effects correction algorithm is proposed and visual comparisons have been made to estimate the quality of image fusion results. The following four steps have been performed to improve the image fusion qualify First, the shadow regions of satellite image are precisely located. Subsequently, segmentation of context regions is manually implemented for accurate correction. Next step, to calculate correction factor we compared the context region with the same non-shadow context region. Finally, image fusion is implemented using collected images. The result presented here helps to accurately extract and interpret geo-spatial information from satellite imagery.
In transmitting compressed video bit-stream over Internet, packet loss causes error propagation in both spatial and temporal domain, which in turn leads to severe degradation in image qualify In this paper, a new approach for the recovery of lost or erroneous Motion Vector(MV)s by clustering the movements of neighboring blocks by their homogeneity is proposed. MVs of neighboring blocks are clustered according to ALA(Average Linkage Algorithm) clustering and a representative value for each cluster is determined to obtain the candidate MV set. By computing the distortion of the candidates, a MV with the minimum distortion is selected. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm exhibits better performance in many cases than existing methods.

This paper describes the development of SIMS. SIMS provides not only the basic functions, such as input and output of outside plant maps and facility status statistics report, which are the major function of TOMS, but also can manage outside plant facilities and subscriber information integrately to maximize the efficiency of large outside plant facility database and to increase the qualify of subscriber service. SIMS provides following functions: Work order generation for telephone installation; Automatic cable pair assignment; Cable tracing and unused pair management; Subscriber record management and statistics report generation; Subscriber address information management.
Purpose : To generate the axial, coronal and sagittal images from conventional simulation images, as a preliminary study of broad-beam simulator CT. Methods and Materials : Volumetric filtered back-projection was performed using 90 sheets of films from conventional simulator for every $4^{\circ}$ gantry angle. Two mAs exposure condition for 120kvp beam qualify at SFD 140cm was given to each film. Outside the silhouette portion was removed and scatter component was deconvolved before back-projection. Results : The axial, the sagittal and the coronal images with same spatial resolutions over all direction could be obtained. But image quality was very poor. Conclusion : CT images could be obtained using broad-beam. Scatter deconvolution technique was effective for this reconstruction. The fact that same spatial resolutions over all direction tells us the possibility of application of this technique to DRR or Simulator-CT. But the quality of image should be improved for clinical application practically.

There is the spatial correlation of the video sequence between the motion vector of current blocks. In this paper, we propose the enhanced fast block matching algorithm using the spatial correlation of the video sequence and the center-biased properly of motion vectors. The proposed algorithm determines an exact motion vector using the predicted motion vector from the adjacent macro blocks of the current frame and the Cross-Hexagonal search pattern. From the of experimental results, we can see that our proposed algorithm outperforms both the prediction search algorithm (NNS) and the fast block matching algorithm (CHS) in terms of the search speed and the coded video's quality. Using our algorithm, we can improve the search speed by up to $0.1{\sim}38%$ and also diminish the PSNR (Peak Signal Noise Ratio) by at nst $0.05{\sim}2.5dB$, thereby improving the video qualify.
