  • The ordinary least squares based estimator of the disturbance variance in a regression model for spatial panel data is shown to be asymptotically unbiased and weakly consistent in the context of SAR(1), SMA(1) and SARMA(1,1)-disturbances when there is measurement error in the regressor matrix.

  • In this paper, suggested is a hybrid-type visual alignment system to align mask and panel in 3-D space, where mask and panel are to be controlled independently by two individual positioning mechanisms in order to compensate for spatial misalignments. In the hybrid visual alignment system, the below 4-PPR parallel mechanism provides in-plain motions to pattern mask like the other conventional alignment systems while the above 4-RPS parallel mechanism is to move glass panel to achieve a complete spatial alignment. For the control of the hybrid alignment system, first, inverse kinematic solutions for the parallel mechanisms are given to determine the driving distance of each active joint, and also an efficient way to determine the spatial alignment error is developed by exploiting three in-plane cameras.

  • The distribution of observations in most econometric studies with spatial heterogeneity is skewed. Usually, a single transformation of the data is used to approximate normality and to model the transformed data with a normal assumption. This assumption is however not always appropriate due to the fact that panel data often exhibit non-normal characteristics. In this work, the normality assumption is relaxed in spatial mixed models, allowing for spatial heterogeneity. An inference procedure based on Bayesian mixed modeling is carried out with a multivariate skew-elliptical distribution, which includes the skew-t, skew-normal, student-t, and normal distributions as special cases. The methodology is illustrated through a simulation study and according to the empirical literature, we fit our models to non-life insurance consumption observed between 1998 and 2002 across a spatial panel of 103 Italian provinces in order to determine its determinants. Analyzing the posterior distribution of some parameters and comparing various model comparison criteria indicate the proposed model to be superior to conventional ones.

동적공간패널모형을 이용한 지역 실업률 결정요인 분석 (Analysis of Determinants of Regional Unemployment Rate Using Dynamic Spatial Panel Model)

  • Purpose - This study analyzed the determinants of local unemployment rate in Korea using panel data from 16 metropolitan cities and provinces from 2000 to 2018. Design/methodology/approach - We use a dynamic spatial panel model that considers characteristics of the regional unemployment rate such as the common factors effect, spatial dependence, and serial correlations. Findings - The local unemployment rate is affected by the past and present values of the national unemployment rate. And it is significantly affected by the past local unemployment rate and the past neighboring unemployment rate because spatial dependence and serial correlations are clearly present. In addition, when the industrial structure diversity and labor productivity were high, the regional unemployment rate decreased, and when the education level was high, the regional unemployment rate increased. Research implications or Originality - In order to reduce regional unemployment rate, it is necessary to plan and establish regional customized industrial structure policies under the stance of diversification rather than specializing the regional industrial structure and accompany improvement of the quality of education with the number of years of education. In addition, the redistribution of labor from low labor productivity sectors to high labor productivity sectors through technology development will help to reduce the local unemployment rate.

공간적 상관성을 고려한 민수용 도시가스 수요결정 요인 분석 (Analysis of Determinants of Civilian City Gas Demand Considering Spatial Correlation)

  • 최근 도시가스 수요에 관한 연구는 광역별, 지역별로 각 지역 특성을 반영하여 미시적 관점에서 접근하는 경향이 확대되는 추세이다. 이때 인접지역이 가지는 사회구조의 유사성과 공급 인프라의 밀집성은 지역 간 미시적인 관계를 가지는 군집성과 공간적 상관성을 유도한다. 이에 민수용 도시가스 수요에 대해 34개 도시가스사의 관할지역을 기준으로 총 54개의 지역으로 구분한 후 공간 상관성을 분석한 결과 전역적, 국지적 관점에서 양의 공간적 상관성이 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 2014년 1월부터 2022년 12월까지 54개 지역에 대한 민수용 도시가스 수요를 패널데이터로 구성하여 공간패널회귀분석과 일반 패널회귀분석을 비교하였으며, 오차에 공간적 효과가 존재하는 공간오차모형(SEM)이 가장 적합한 모형임을 도출할 수 있었다. 이는 한 지역의 민수용 도시가스 수요가 인접지역과 유의한 관계가 있음을 확인함으로써 정책적, 실무적 시사점을 제시한다.

공간패널모형을 이용한 연안어업 생산량과 기후변화 요소의 관계에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Relationship Between the Catch of Coastal Fisheries and Climate Change Elements using Spatial Panel Model)

  • This study aims to empirically analyze the relationship between climate change elements and catch amount of coastal fisheries, which is predicted to be vulnerable to climate change since its business scale is too small and fishing ground is limited. Using panel data from 1974 to 2013 by region, we tested the relationship between the sea temperature, salinity and the coastal fisheries production. A spatial panel model was applied in order to reflect the spatial dependence of the ocean. The results indicated that while the upper(0-20m) sea temperature and salinity have no significant influence on the coastal fisheries production, the lower(30-50m) sea temperature has significant positive effects on it and, by extension, on the neighboring areas's production. Therefore, with sea temperature forecast data derived from climate change scenarios, it is expected that these results can be used to assess the future vulnerability to the climate change.

국내 지역별 도로운송네트워크가 지역경제에 미치는 영향: SNA 및 공간패널회귀모형의 적용 (A Study on Road Transport Network And Economy effect in Korea: Application of SNA and Spatial Panel Regression)

  • This study analyzes the effects of road transportation networks on the local economy in korea. The analysis methods are SNA and spatial panel regression model. The subjects of this study are inland areas of Korea, and the research period is from 2010 to 2019. The network analysis showed that the connection centrality of Gyeongg-do was high internally and externally. Gyeonggi-do has played a central role in the domestic road freight transportation industry. The results of spatial panel regression analysis showed that there was economic competition between regions. Domestic road transportation industry has been competitive among regions and has economic ripple effect. And Internal cargo has been shown to boost the economy of the region. But internal cargo has been shown to lower the economy of surrounding regions, but external cargo has been shown to increase the economy. In order to revitalize the local economy, it is necessary to increase road cargo.

공간 패널 회귀모형을 이용한 양파 생산량 추정 (Onion yield estimation using spatial panel regression model)

  • 노지에서 재배되는 양파 생산량은 기후환경에 의하여 영향을 받으며, 특정 지역에서 많이 생산되는 지역적인 특성을 가지고 있다. 따라서 생산량 예측시 기상과 지역을 동시에 고려하는 접근이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 공간 패널 회귀모형을 이용하여 기상변화에 따른 생산량을 추정하였다. 양파 주산지 13곳에 대한 2006년부터 2015년까지의 기상 패널자료를 사용하여, 공간시차를 반영한 공간자기회귀(spatial autoregressive)모형을 사용하였다. 공간가중치 행렬은 임계치 설정방법과 최근거리 설정방법으로 나누어 분석하여, 최근 3곳까지 거리 설정방법을 사용한 모형이 최종 모형으로 선택되었으며, 자기상관성이 유의함을 보였다. 하우스만 검정을 통해 채택된 확률효과모형으로 분석한 결과 누적일조시간(1월), 평균상대습도(4월), 평균최저기온(6월), 누적강수량(11월) 등이 양파 생산량 예측에 유의한 변수로 나타났다.

시공간 종속성을 고려한 빈집발생 요인 추정에 관한 연구 (Study on Factors of Vacant Houses's Occurrence using Spatio-Temporal Model)

  • 최근 저출산·고령화에 따른 도시축소 현상과 지방도시의 쇠퇴는 빈집이라는 새로운 도시문제를 낳고 있다. 본 연구는 전국 시·군·구를 대상으로 2015년부터 2019년까지 수집한 공간 패널 데이터를 이용하여 빈집 분포를 살펴보고 시공간적 종속성을 고려한 공간패널모형을 이용하여 빈집발생의 요인을 추정하는 것이 목적이다. 분석 결과 빈집은 시공간적으로 종속성이 있었으며, OLS 모형에 비해 시공간적 종속성을 고려하여 빈집 발생 요인을 추정하는 것이 타당함을 확인하였다. 동적공간패널모형을 이용하여 분석한 결과 빈집발생의 가장 큰 영향요인은 주택관련요인인 것으로 나타났다. 이 결과는 빈집 발생의 관리를 위해서는 인구이동, 양호하지 못한 인프라 등 뿐만 아니라 주택 공급량에 대한 정책적 고려가 필요함을 시사한다.

패널존과 점성감쇠기를 고려한 강골조 구조물의 내진 설계 모델 (Seismic Design of Steel Frame Model Considering the Panel Zone and Viscous Dampers)

  • The present study is aimed to calculate the optimal damping according to the seismic load on the structure with a non-seismic design to perform structure analysis considering the deformation of structural joint connection and panel zone; to develop design program equipped with structural stability of the steel frame structures reinforced with the panel zone and viscous dampers, using the results of the analysis, in order to systematically integrate the seismic reinforcement of the non-seismic structures and the analysis and design of steel frame structures. The study results are as follows: When considering the deformation of the panel zone, the deformation has been reduced up to thickness of the panel double plate below twice the flange thickness, which indicates the effect of the double plate thickness on the panel zone, but the deformation showed uniform convergence when the ration is more than twice. The SMRPF system that was applied to this study determines the damping force and displacement by considering the panel zone to the joint connection and calculating the shear each floor for the seismic load at the same time. The result indicates that the competence of the damper is predictable that can secure seismic performance for the structures with non-seismic design without changing the cross-section of the members.
