  • A single span-to-depth ratio function is proposed for control of deflection in one-way concrete construction. The equation can be applied to one-way slabs, beams, and flat plates. Effects of cracking, time-dependent deformation, boundary conditions, applied loading, and target deflection-to-span ratio are taken into account.

  • Precast Segmental method was developed in germany 1950s. This method has been adoptted in long span girder mainly owing to easy construction effect. But, so far, The limit exists that this method is constructed in a portion of span and hard conveyance and foundation. This study was performed to analysis behavior difference of two rectanglar section girder, spliced girder that was jointed 5-sliced 0.8m segment and monolithic girder that was produced in one body 4m span

  • The maximum span length is decided by the relation among the independent factors of rail, train and catenary. However, During the calculation of the maximum span length with the way of Kyung-Bu High railway design using by the commercial program $\ulcorner$MATLAB$\lrcorner$ the mathematical error was founded. Therefore, this paper presents the analysis of the reason why caused the mathematical error occur.

  • The determination of the optimum biarc curve passing through a given set of points along involute curve is studied. The method adopted is that of finding the optimum number of span and the optimum length of the span such that error between the biarc curve and involute curve minimum. Iterative method is effectively used to find the optimim number and length of the span on involute curve with reduced length of NC-code.

  • Preflex beams are prestressed by the predeflection technique, which enables the use of concrete-encased high strength steel beams where deflection or cracking of concrete, or both, would otherwise be excessive. This study presents the analysis of the two span preflex composite girder bridges with Load and Resistance Factor Design(LRFD), which is most widely used design nile in the advanced states. The results show that the comparison of LRR with Allowable Stress Design(ASD) according to span length.

  • In this study, a time domain analysis is presented for investigation on the buffeting response of cable-stayed bridge during both erection and completion stages. The main span length and width of deck are 520 m and 15.1m, each. Since the ratio of span over width is 34.44, aerodynamic stability of the bridge during erection is expected to dominate the safety of the bridge in construction stage. Several conclusions regarding different construction stages and temporary wind cables are obtained.

  • To gain understanding of the applicability of CFRP cables in super long-span cable-stayed bridges, by taking a 1400 m cable-stayed bridge as example, mechanics performance including the static behavior under service load, dynamic behavior, wind stability and seismic behavior of the bridge using either steel or CFRP cables are investigated numerically and compared. The results show that viewed from the aspect of mechanics performance, the use of CFRP cables in super long-span cable-stayed bridges is feasible, and the cross-sectional areas of CFRP cables should be determined by the principle of equivalent axial stiffness.
