우리나라 동해안 해안선의 장기적 변화 2 -남부 동해안 (Long-term Changes of Shoreline at the East Coast in South Korea 2 - South East Coast)

  • 본 논문은 남부 동해안의 5개 지역을 대상으로 최근 약 30년 동안 해안선의 장기적인 변화 경향을 파악하고, 중부 및 남부 동해안 연구를 종합하여, 동해안 해안선의 장기적인 변화 경향과 그 요인을 분석하였다. DSAS를 이용하여 해안선 변화량을 계산한 결과, 망양정 지역은 평균 28.9m, 조사 지역은 평균 6.4m 해안선이 후퇴하였고, 고래불 지역은 평균 25.0m, 대진 지역은 평균 10.6m, 봉길 지역은 평균 18.8m 해안선이 전진하였다. 동해안의 해안선 변화 경향을 종합하면, 1) 모든 지역 내에서 해안선은 전진과 후퇴 구역이 반복적으로 나타나고 있다. 2) 최근에 건설되거나 증축된 방파제와 접한 남쪽 구역에서는 해안선이 전진하였는데, 이는 북류하는 연안류의 영향으로 판단된다. 3) 해수욕장으로 이용되는 구역에서는 상대적으로 큰 해안선 후퇴 경향을 보인다. 4) 하천의 하구에서는 하천 상류 지역에서의 퇴적물 공급량 변화에 따라 해안선의 전진 및 후퇴가 다양하게 나타난다.

동해 지리적 범위 사용 사례 및 정립 필요성 (Institutional definition instances and necessity of establishment about the geographical scope of the East Sea)

  • This paper deals with the geographical scope of the East Sea introduced by major domestic institutions. The East Sea surrounded by South Korea, North Korea, Russia, Japan has a variety of marine resources, and is the very appropriate natural laboratory to study future global changes as a miniature ocean. However, there is a continuous conflict between Korea and Japan over the name of the East Sea because of the nature of international waters. So we need the active research achievements based on the exact geographic knowledge of the East Sea to promote the legitimacy of the East Sea in the international community. Nevertheless each domestic institution has a different way to define the southern border of the East Sea so that it showed a difference about linear distance of up to about 44 km. Also, they have defined the scope of East Sea not as the entire East Sea surrounded by South Korea, North Korea, Russia and Japan but as the jurisdiction of the Republic of Korea. It caused serious confusion about accurate statistical knowledge about East Sea such as area, volume, and mean water depth. Therefore, clear social consensus about the geographical scope of the East Sea would be required, there is also the need to institutionalize a legal order to spread it.

한국 해산 히드라충류의 동물지리학적 분포 (Zoogeographical Distribution of Marine Hydroids(Cnidaria: Hydrozoa: Hydroida) in Korea)

  • 지금까지 밝혀진 한국 해산 히드라충류는 17과 55속 120종이다. 이 가운데 Abietinaria filicula (ellis and Solander, 1786)는 한국 미기록종으로 밝혀졌고 Sertularella miurensis Stechow, 1921는 96개 채집지 가운데 33개 지점에서 채집되어 한국해역의 히드라충류 가운데 우점종으로 나타났다. 한국 해역은 동해, 남해, 황해 그리고 제주도의 4개 해역으로 나뉜다. 각 해역에서 채집된 종수는 동해 43종, 남해 73종, 황해 52종 그리고 제주도 83종으로 나타났다. 따라서 제주도 해역은 한국 해산 히드라충류의 가장 높은 다양활르 나타낸다고 할 수 있다. 각 해역간의 군집계수는 동해-황해가 0.444, 동해-남해가 0.553, 동해-제주도가 0.519, 황해-남해가 0.682, 황해-제주도가 0.533 그리고 남해-제주도가 0.642이다. 그러므로 히드라충류의 분포에 따른 두 해역 사이의 연관은 황해-남해가 가장 높고 동해-황해가 가장 낮다.

북한의 고속도로 전망 및 AHP기법을 활용한 투자우선순위 결정 (An Extensive View on the Highway Network in North Korea and the Determination of Investment Priority Using AHP Analysis)

  • 본 논문에서는 북한의 인구현황, 도로현황, 도로의 기능 및 역할을 살펴보았다. 또한, 남한과 중국의 도로망 및 Asian Highway와 연계할 수 있는 도로에 대해 남북축과 동서측 $5{\times}5$로 전망하였다. 추가적으로, 도로의 투자우선순위를 결정하기 위하여 평가항목 및 가중치를 산정하고 전문가그룹의 설문조사를 바탕으로 AHP 분석방법을 활용하였다. 분석결과 축별 우선순위는 남북축은 남북2축(개성~평양~안주~중국),남북5축, 남북1축, 남북3축, 남북4축 순으로 선정되었으며 동서축은 동서2축(남포~평양~원산), 동서1축, 동서3축, 동서4축, 동서5축 구간이 투자우선순위가 높은 것으로 분석되었다.

동남권 기계.금속산업클러스터의 광역적 지원체계 구축전략 (The Strategies for Forming Governance System to Raise Industrial Competitiveness of Metal and Machinery Industrial Clusters in South-East Region, Korea)

  • 이 글은 동남권 지역에 형성된 광역적 산업클러스터를 확인하고 그것을 효과적으로 지원하기 위한 방안을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 산업클러스터의 광역화와 광역적 거버넌스에 관한 이론 및 선행연구들을 검토하고, 동남권의 기계 금속산업클러스터 형성실태를 분석하였다. 동남권의 산업도시들은 1970년대 후반에 이미 회랑형의 기계 금속산업벨트를 구축하였고 오늘날에는 십여 개의 산업도시들이 긴밀히 연계된 대규모 기계 금속산업클러스터를 형성하고 있다. 동남권 지역에 있어서 산업도시의 연계는 점차 규모가 확대되고 있을 뿐 아니라 제철, 조선, 자동차, 플랜트 분야 등에서 경쟁력이 높아지고 있다. 그리고 지리적 범위도 대구 경북 지역으로 확대되어 이제 그 형태가 목걸이형 혹은 수차(물레방아)형을 갖게 되었다. 그것은 행정구역상으로는 부산, 울산, 경남, 대구, 경북, 전남 일부를 포함하는 것이다. 그리고 이러한 분석에 기반하여, 동남권의 광역적 기계 금속산업클러스터의 산업경쟁력을 강화할 수 있는 정책방안과 거버넌스체계를 모색하였다. 동남권에서 근래에 대두하고 있는 문제는 산업적 연계망의 공간적 범위와 행정구역 간의 불일치이다. 산업클러스터의 광역화에 따라서 이를 효율적으로 지원하는 행정지원체계를 구축하기 위한 현실적인 방안들을 검토하였다.

동아시아와 남아시아지역에서 관측된 에어러솔의 광흡수 특성 비교 (Comparison of light-absorption properties of aerosols observed in East and South Asia)

  • In this study, we compared light-absorption properties of aerosols observed in East and South Asia from black carbon (BC) mass concentration, aerosol scattering (${\sigma}_s$) and absorption (${\sigma}_a$) coefficients measurements at four sites: Korea Climate Observatory-Gosan (KCO-G), Korea Climate Observatory-Anmyeon (KCO-A), Maldives Climate Observatory-Hanimaadhoo (MCO-H) and Nepal Climate Observatory-Pyramid (NCO-P). No significant seasonal variations of BC mass concentration, ${\sigma}_s$ and ${\sigma}_a$, despite of wet removal of aerosols by precipitation in summer, were observed in East Asia, whereas dramatic changes of light-absorbing aerosol properties were observed in South Asia between dry and wet monsoon periods. Although BC mass concentration in East Asia is generally higher than that observed in South Asia, BC mass concentration at MCO-H during winter dry monsoon is similar to that of East Asia. The observed solar absorption efficiency (${\alpha}$) at 550 nm, where ${\alpha}={\sigma}_a/({\sigma}_s+{\sigma}_a)$, at KCO-G and KCO-A is higher than that in MCO-H due to large portions of BC emission from fossil fuel combustion. Interestingly, ${\alpha}$ at NCO-P is 0.14, which is two times great than that in MCO-H and is about 40% higher than that in East Asia, though BC mass concentration at NCO-P is the lowest among four sites. Consistently, the highest elemental carbon to sulphate ratio is found at NCO-P.

한국 연안산 지충이(Sargassum thunbergii)의 생태 (Ecology of Sargassum thunbergii along the Korean Coast)

  • This study was conducted bimonthly from February to December 2021 to reveal the ecology of Sargassum thunbergii in the intertidal zone along the coasts of Korea. Separate surveys on the period of embryo formation were conducted from February 2021 to December 2022. The growth of S. thunbergii began to increase in February, reached a maximum in June, and was at a minimum in October. Air vesicles were formed from February to June, April to August, and February to August on the east, west, and south coasts, respectively. Receptacles were observed from April to June on the east coast, but from April to August on the west and south coasts. The earliest release of embryos was observed in late May 2022 on the south coast, followed by early June on the east and west coasts. The average size of leaves, stems, and air vesicles was maximum on the east coast and minimum on the west coast, whereas leaf and internode intervals were maximum on the west coast and minimum on the east coast. Plant length, biomass, and the number of branches showed maximum values in the south coast and minimum values in the east coast.

Diversity of freshwater Cladoceran species (Crustacea: Branchiopoda) in South Korea

  • We investigated cladoceran fauna from 71 study areas in South Korea. Sixty-two taxa were found, of which there were 30 planktonic and 25 littoral-benthic cladoceran species. In the present study, taxa of cladocera were identified by biographical traits. Species endemic to the Far East were found in the northernmost areas of South Korea, whereas Palearctic species were found in the southernmost areas. Generally, coexistence of cladoceran species in northern and southern areas was observed, implying possible faunistic complexes of cladocera in various areas of South Korea. We believe that further studies conducted in different habitats will greatly expand our knowledge of the biodiversity of cladocera in South Korea.

국내 폐암에 대한 한약물의 최신 실험연구 경향 (Recent Experimental Tendency for Herbal Medicines Treating Lung Cancer in South Korea)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to suggest better directions in experimental researches about finding new drug derived from herbs in South Korea. Methods: We investigated available manuscripts on anti-lung cancer herbal extracts which is used in South Korea by using available electric library, and made diagrams. Results: Many herbs are used in treatment of lung cancer based on traditional oriental medical theory. In Korea, researches for this field have been activated since 2000. But we haven't found the substance showing remarkable anti-tumor effect on lung cancer. And many of the experiment have been designed similar way and also have similar weak points in explanation about the apoptotic mechanism. Conclusions: From this results, we have found 10 herbs, 4 pharmacopunctures and 13 herbal decoctions to be conducted experimental studies for lung cancer from 2000 to 2008 in South Korea.

유라시아 이니셔티브와 환동해권 전략 (Eurasia Initiative and East Sea Rim Maritime Community)

  • In September 2013, President Park Geun-hye announced her controversial "Look North" policy, of which the most salient aspect is the "Eurasia Initiative". This comprises various proposals designed to overcome existing constraints by developing new markets and creating new economic partners in continental areas from which South Korea has been alienated since the end of World War II, and this dovetails nicely with China's One Belt, One Road Initiative. The concepts of the "Silk Road Rail Express (SRX)" and the "East Sea Rim Maritime Community (ESRMC)" have also been discussed. SRX is at present a purely symbolic railroad project intended to encourage individual, cultural, trade and diplomatic exchanges. ESRMC is a model for establishing an ad hoc community to promote regional economic cooperation around the East Sea. President Park's Eurasia Initiative will provide South Korean investment for the Northeast to complement Russian plans, like the "Northern Energy Road" being built by Gazprom, and Chinese plans, like the Chang-Ji-Tu Development Plan for the North Korean port of Rajin. China's trade, as well as its energy and food supplies, pass through the Strait of Malacca and the Indian Ocean, and are thus vulnerable to interdiction by India or the US. China is therefore trying to reduce its exposure geopolitical risk by establishing a network of corridors between the Belt and the Road to provide alternative paths. The "China-Pakistan Economic Corridor" and the "China-Myanmar Economic Corridor" provide such connections, and South Korea hopes that SRX and ESRMC can become part of a "China-South Korea Economic Corridor". This concept could do much to revitalize the underdeveloped northern provinces of China and Russia's Far East, not to mention North Korea. By linking up the Trans-Siberian Railway, the Trans-China Railway, the Trans-Mongolian Railway and the Trans-Korean Railway all these Asian countries will be connected to one another, and ultimately to Europe. An interim connection between China and South Korea using a rail-ferry has also been proposed.
