Properties of Carbon Pastes Prepared with Mixing Ratios of Nano Carbon and Graphite Flakes

  • To produce carbon electrodes for use in perovskite solar cells, electrode samples are prepared by mixing various weight ratios of 35 nm nano carbon(NC) and $1{\mu}m$ graphite flakes(GF), GF/(NC+GF) = 0, 0.5, 0.7, and 1, in chlorobenzene(CB) solvent with a $ZrO_2$ binder. The carbon electrodes are fabricated as glass/FTO/carbon electrode devices for microstructure characterization using transmission electron microscopy, optical microscopy, and a field emission scanning electron microscopy. The electrical characterization is performed with a four-point probe and a multi tester. The microstructure characterization shows that an electrode with excellent attachment to the substrate and no surface cracks at weight ratios above 0.5. The electrical characterization results show that the sheet resistance is <$70{\Omega}/sq$ and the interface resistance is <$70{\Omega}$ at weight ratios of 0.5 and 0.7. Therefore, a carbon paste electrode with microstructure and electrical properties similar to those of commercial carbon electrodes is proposed with an appropriate mixing ratio of NC and GF containing a CB solvent and $ZrO_2$.

VOCs의 분리 및 회수를 위한 PEI-PDMS 중공사 복합막의 내용매성 및 기체 투과 특성 (Solvent Resistance and Gas Permeation Property of PEI-PDMS Hollow Fiber Composite Membrane for Separation and Recovery of VOCs)

  • VOCs의 분리 및 회수를 위해 PEI 고분자를 이용하여 상분리법으로 중공사 지지체 분리막을 제조하였고 PDMS 고분자를 코팅하여 PEI-PDMS 중공사 복합막을 제조하였다. 제조된 기체 분리막의 특성을 알아보기 위하여 산소와 질소를 이용하여 순수 기체 투과도를 측정하였으며, xylene, ethyl benzene, toluene, cyclohexane을 이용하여 stage cut과 feed 농도 변화에 따른 투과성능을 측정하였다. 또한 VOCs에 대한 내용매성을 알아보기 위하여 DMA을 이용하여 용매 함침 시간에 따른 stress-strain 특성을 알아보았다. 산소와 질소의 순수 투과도는 각각 63 GPU와 30 GPU를 나타내었고, stage cut이 증가할수록 permeate VOCs 농도는 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. Recovery efficiency의 경우 permeate 농도와는 반대로 state cut이 증가할수록 증가하는 경향을 나타내었다. DMA 인장 테스트 결과 stress는 11.93 MPa, strain은 13.52%로 측정되었다.

  • 폴리카보실란은 탄화규소 섬유 방사와 세라믹 제조를 위해 필요한 중요한 전구체이며, 이 전구체는 제조방법 및 공정에 따라 고내열성 및 내산화성 및 연속적인 탄화규소 섬유 생산 능력이 달라진다. 탄화규소 섬유는 폴리카보실란의 합성, 정제 및 분자구조제어기술, 그리고 이를 이용한 용융방사 및 안정화, 열처리 공정을 통해 제조된다. 본 논문에서는 폴리카보실란 전구체를 다양한 용매처리를 통하여 전구체 내에 존재하는 미반응물 및 저분자량의 정제효과를 파악하였으며, 또한 다양한 온도에서의 열처리에 따른 폴리카보실란 전구체의 중합 및 네트워크 재배열에 의한 변화에 대해 열적 분석을 실시하였다. 특히, 폴리카보실란 전구체의 유변물성 특성을 통해 용매처리 및 열처리에 따른 복합점도 및 구조적 배열의 변화를 분석하였다.

소수성 처리 방법에 따른 플라즈마 전해 산화 처리된 마그네슘 합금의 내식성 (Effect of Hydrophobizing Method on Corrosion Resistance of Magnesium Alloy with Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation)

  • Magnesium and its alloys are prone to be corroded, thus surface treatments improving corrosion resistance are always required for practical applications. As a surface treatment of magnesium alloys, plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO), creating porous stable oxide layer by a high voltage discharge in electrolyte, enhances the corrosion resistance. However, due to superhydrophilicity of the porous oxide layer, which easily allow the penetration of corrosive media toward magnesium alloys substrate, post-treatments inhibiting the transfer of corrosive media in porous oxide layer are required. In this work, we employed a hydrophobizing method to enhance the corrosion resistance of PEO treated Mg alloy. Three types of hydrophobizing techniques were used for PEO layer. Thin Teflon coating with solvent evaporation, self-assembled monolayer (SAM) coating of octadecyltrichlorosilane (OTS) based on solution method and SAM coating of perfluorodecyltrichlorosilane (FDTS) based on vacuum method significantly enhances corrosion resistance of PEO treated Mg alloy with reducing the contact of water on the surface. In particular, the vacuum based FDTS coating on PEO layer shows the most effective hydrophobicity with the highest corrosion resistance.

내수성 및 기계적 물성이 향상된 열처리된 폴리비닐알코올/셀룰로오스 나노결정 필름 (Heat-Treated Polyvinyl Alcohol/Cellulose Nanocrystal Film with Improved Mechanical Properties and Water Resistance)

  • In this study, the water resistance and mechanical properties of heat-treated polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/cellulose nanocrystal (CNC) films were investigated. PVA is the most commonly used synthetic biodegradable polymers owing to its excellent properties. However, the water/moisture sensitivity and relatively poor mechanical properties of PVA limits its applications. Although heat treatment is a conventionally used method to improve the mechanical strength and water resistance of PVA, the effectiveness of this method is insufficient. Therefore, CNC was used to further improve the mechanical properties and water resistance of the heat-treated PVA film. PVA/CNC nanocomposites containing CNC contents of 0, 1, 3, 5, and 10 wt% were fabricated using solvent casting and subsequent heat treatment. The mechanical properties and water resistance of PVA/CNC films were significantly improved. The tensile strength and wet strength of the PVA/CNC film with a CNC content of 5 wt% (PVA/CNC 5%) were 184.5% and 136.0% higher than those of the untreated PVA, respectively. In addition, the water absorption and solubility of PVA/CNC 5% were 56.6% and 68.2% lower than those of the untreated PVA.

지방산 변성 에폭시수지 합성과 성능평가 (Synthesis and performance assessment of modified epoxy resins containing fatty acid)

  • 본 논문에서는 약용매에서 용해될 수 있는 지방산 변성 에폭시수지를 합성하였고, 합성한 수지의 용해도 평가가 이루어졌다. 지방산 변성 에폭시수지를 합성하기 위하여 비스페놀A형, 페놀 노볼락형 및 오르소 크레졸 노볼락형의 3종류 에폭시수지를 사용하였고, 여기에 지방산, dodecyl phenol (DP), toluene diisocyanate (TDI)를 도입하였다. 합성조건은 당량기준으로 에폭시수지/지방산 = 1/0.5, 지방산/DP = 0.25/0.25, TDI 0.5이었고, 에폭시수지 종류에 따라 12종류의 지방산 변성 에폭시수지가 합성되었다. 합성된 지방산 변성 에폭시수지에 대하여 점도 및 용매${\surd}$가용성을 평가한 결과, 벤젠고리와 글리시딜기의 함량 및 알킬기의 탄소수가 증가할수록 약용매에 대한 용해성이 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 약용매에 용해성이 우수한 지방산 변성 에폭시수지를 사용하여 투명 도료를 제조하여 물성을 평가한 결과, 비스페놀A형 에폭시수지/지방산/DP/TDI의 당량비가 1.0/0.25/0.25/0.5인 것과 페놀 노볼락형 에폭시수지/지방산/DP의 당량비가 1.0/0.25/0.25인 조성에서 건조시간, 접착력, 도막경도, 내충격성, 내알칼리성에서 양호한 물성을 나타내었다.

  • 본 연구에서는 Metallophthalocyanine Macrocyclic Compounds인 Zinc phthalocyanine(ZnPc)를 이용하여 박막 films를 만들어 solvent sensor의 특성에 대한 연구을 수행하였다. 측정에 사용한 유기용제의 종류는 Acetic acid, Ethyl alcohol, Methyl alcohol, Ammonia 및 1,1,1-trichloroethane이였으며, solvent sensing 특성으로는 전기저항 변화를 측정 분석하였다. 또한 Zinc phthalocyanines과 $N,N'-diphenyl-N,N'-bis(1-naphthyl)-1,\;1-biphenyl-4,4'-diamine\;and/or\; Poly[2-methoxy-5-(2'-ethylhexyloxy)-1,4-phenylene-vinylene]$를 blend하여 spin-coating, evaporation박막을 만들어 유기용제 농도에 따라서 전기 저항 변화를 측정 분석하였다.

솔벤트 염료를 이용한 고강도 폴리에틸렌(HTPE) 필라멘트사의 염색성 및 기계적 물성 평가 (Dyeing Characteristics and Mechanical Properties of High Tenacity Polyethylene(HTPE) Filament using Solvent Dyes)

  • High tenacity polyethylene(HTPE) fiber is one of the most important synthetic fibers which possesses outstanding properties such as low density, excellent surface hardness and scratch resistance, superior electrical insulation and low cost. In this study, we dyed high tenacity polyethylene filaments using three different solvent dyes based on log P calculations. We evaluated the dyeing characteristics of dyed high tenacity polyethylene filaments based on dyeing temperature, dyeing time and concentration of solvent dyes. We also analyzed the tensile strength and elongation properties of dyed high tenacity polyethylene filaments with various dyeing temperature and dyeing times. The optimized dyeing condition can be found at $120^{\circ}C$ for dyeing time of 1 hour with 4%(o.w.f.) of solvent dyes.

Conducting and interface characterization of carbonate-type organic electrolytes containing EMImBF4 as an additive against activated carbon electrode

  • Carbonate-type organic electrolytes were prepared using propylene carbonate (PC) and dimethyl carbonate (DMC) as a solvent, quaternary ammonium salts, and by adding different contents of 1-ethyl-3-methyl imidazolium tetrafluoroborate ($EMImBF_4$). Cyclic voltammetry and linear sweep voltammetry were performed to analyze conducting behaviors. The surface characterizations were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy method and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. From the experimental results, increasing the $EMImBF_4$ content increased the ionic conductivity and reduced bulk resistance and interfacial resistance. In particular, after adding 15 vol% $EMImBF_4$ in 0.2 M $SBPBF_4$ PC/DMC electrolyte, the organic electrolyte showed superior capacitance and interfacial resistance. However, when $EMImBF_4$ content exceeded 15 vol%, the capacitance was saturated and the voltage range decreased.

  • An electrochemical evaluation on the corrosion resistance for heavy anticorrosive paint was carried out for 5 kinds of heavy anticorrosive paints such as High solid epoxy(HE), Solvent epoxy(SE), Tar epoxy(TE), Phenol epoxy(PE), and Ceramic epoxy(CE) as parameters of DFT(Dry Film Thickness, 25${\mu}m$50${\mu}m$, solution condition(Flow of Nonflow). Corrosion current density of HE(DFT 50${\mu}m$ in case of flow condition was larger than that of nonflow condition. However, their values of the other anticorrosive paints were decreased compared to the nonflow condition. The values of AC impedance were increased with increasing of DFT regardless of kinds of anticorrosive paints. And the polarization resistance of cyclic voltammogram showed a good tendency to correspond with well the values of AC impedance measurement. HE and CE had a relatively good corrosion resistance than other heavy anticorrosive paint.
