This study focused on the regulations and support system of green rooftop landscaping between Korea and China. Our research found out regulations and support system to review the supplement point to understand the present state of green rooftop landscaping in the two countries. We aimed to provide basic legal information for the development of green rooftop landscaping regulations. Also, a management plan guide and after-evaluation guide were suggested. First, roof load safety is the foremost factor for the structure of green rooftop landscaping. It includes not only considering the weight of construction materials, but also accurately calculating weight of rain, snow and the rooftop's capacity for people when the rooftop is designed. Second, the appropriate waterproof and root material should be selected basing on climatic conditions. Third, a maintenance and management plan needs to be established to regularly check the plant, facilities, soil and to maintain them. Fourth, the criteria of quality inspection are waterproof and root resistant material, and the growth and development of plants. Waterproof and root resistant materials are a very important part of rooftop greening, so they must be strictly inspected after construction. Fifth, the support system of rooftop greening should be continuously improved. The choice of the object and the amount of support should be strictly stipulated so that the construction of rooftop is promoted when volunteers do rooftop greening.

This experiment was carried out to investigate the effects of different covering materials and methods on heat insulation of a plastic greenhouse, growth and yield of tomato. Night air and soil temperatures in a double-layer greenhouse with external multifold thermal cover (MTC; eight-ounce cassimere+four-fold polyform+double-fold non-woven fabric+single-fold polypropylene covering were about $1^{\circ}C$ lower than in that with internal MTC covering, but about $3^{\circ}C$ higher than in that with an EVA film screen. Tomato yield in the external MTC covering increased by $2\%\;and\;19\%$ as compared to that in the internal MTC covering and the non-covering of MTC, respectively, due to its high light transmission and insulation effect. Night air temperatures in a double-layer greenhouse with external MTC covering and with thermal screen (polyester plus aluminium) were $2.2^{\circ}C\;and\;4.5^{\circ}C$ higher than those in a double-layer greenhouse with an external MTC covering and in a double-layer greenhouse equipped an EVA film screen, respectively. Tomato yield in the treatment with external MTC covering and a thermal screen was $18\%\;and\;37\%$ greater than that in the external MTC covering and in an EVA film screen, respectively. Results indicate that tomato could be grown without heating or with minimal heating in a double-layer greenhouse covered with MTC and a thermal screen during the winter season in sourthern regions of Korea.
This study was carried out material characteristics and firing conditions for some potteries in early and middle Neolithic period at the Munamri sites, where the first farmland remails were found in Korea. It is divided into six kinds of surface patterns for potteries such as the raised, bamboo tube and red painted (patternless) from the early Neolithic period (BC 4000 to 6000), and the patterns of horizontal herringbone, short slanted lined or lattice and incised thick line in the middle Neolithic period (BC 3000 to 4000), respectively. Based on the color measures, redness and yellowness of potteries were relatively high as condition of oxidation firings, were also observed black cores on the cross section of potteries. The firing temperature is divided into two groups having under 800℃ and 800to 900℃, the difference in patterns of the potteries are not confirmed. As a microtextures, the bamboo tube pattern potteries show the sericitization biotite, the quartz have developed a suture line textures, and altered alkali feldspars are occurred. X-ray diffraction analysis shows that the main minerals contained in potteries are chlorite and amphibole besides quartz, alkali feldspar and biotite. Considering the geology around the Munamri area is the biotite amphibole granite and soil layers within 10km radius are used as the raw materials for the potteries. The raw materials are presumed that the sources from the metamorphic rocks along the water systems through the mountains around the sites on the basis of well developed suture line textured quartz in potteries. Results on normalized geochemical compositions, the potteries by surface patterns are very similar to sources, and it is judged that was made by using the surrounding soils despite the long time difference from the early to middle in the Neolithic period.
An analysis on landslide types and susceptibilities associated with geomorphic characteristics has been conducted with 916 landslide inventories in Yeonchon-Chulwon District, where two day's heavy rainfall was concentrated on July, 1996. The precipitation during the 2 days, which is equivalent to 0.372 of event cofficient, can cause large landslides based on Olivier's equation. Sliding materials are dominantly composed of debris mixed with rock fragments and soil derived from colluvium and residual soils. 66% of the landslides are belong to debris flow md 23% are due to sediments flow, in accordance with the classification of sliding materials. Most of landslides(> 90%) are small and shallow, less than l00m in length and about 1m in depth, and classified as transitional type. Granite is more susceptible as much as 4.7 times than metamorphic rocks and 2.7 times than volcanic rocks, probably due to higher weathering grade of granite. The highest landslide frequency is concentrated on the areas between 200 and 300m in height and on the slopes between $10-20^{\circ}$ in dgree. More than 50% of landslides occurred under these geomorphic conditions. Consequently, colluviums and residual soils distributed on the gentle slopes are most susceptible to the landslides of the area.

Now our ocean environment pollution is very serious. Its harm hinders in marine breeding and the safe navigation of ships at the coast. We have used an assembly system for a measure taken against environment pollution like this. But, here are some problems awaiting solution. First, most of combustible materials among ocean waste are high polymer, so it is necessary some special equipment to incinerate them. In the process we can't overlook air pollution by exhaust gas. Also, when we reclaim these wastes, we remember that they can't be decomposed naturally and leaking water may pollute soil. Thus now a days new treatment method has been developed, it recycles and doesn't product secondary pollution materials by recovering oil from pyrolysis. For it, this study investigated chemicalㆍphysical properties of wastes. And it found condition of recovering the most oil. Also it probed that the variation of temperature raising speed affects the weight reduction characteristics of wastes. Also, while studying recovered oil by waste pyrolysis and the rate of non-condensing gas in accordance with the variation of temperature raising speed. Finally we had confidence the development of pyrolysis oil recovery would succeed because we carried out evaluation at an economic point of view about it.
The Grave encapsulated by lime soil mixture were excavated with clothing and hemp shoes from the Choseon Dynasty in Gooam, Sacheon. Hemp shoes have wood in the center and their surroundings were made of complex materials including herbaceous ones but the front part was lost or became very fragile. We analyzed the hemp shoes and pre-test of consolidant for conservation treatment of hemp shoes. As a result of analyzing, three kinds of plants were identified. For hemp shoes, Oryza spp, hemp, and one kind of dicotyledones were used and it was analyzed that fabrics attached to the back of Dogaengi was cotton. Conservation methods for pre-test of consolidant, Polyethylene Glycol, Paraloid-B72, Dammar gum, Methyl Cellulose and Silicone resin was selected. The solution was sprayed twice in a 24-hour duration. Properties of consolidant was measured; color difference, glossiness difference, folding streangth and tensile streangth. By comparing the results, PEG was confirmed to the most suitable as consolidant. For the conservation treatment, cleaning and strengthening was conducted. For strengthening treatment, PEG 4000 was selected given that the shoes were made of complex materials. The PEG impregnation method was applied with the PEG 4000 concentration gradually changing from 5% to 80% for reinforcement. Then humidity- controlled drying in order to avoid any rapid environment change.

The artificial aggregates were fabricated by using the inorganic wastes, dredged soil produced at a dredging work. The input temperature ($800{\sim}1000^{\circ}C$), output temperature ($1100{\sim}1200^{\circ}C$) and heating rate ($5{\sim}10^{\circ}C$/min) in sintering process were controlled to fabricate the aggregates with various value of density and water absorption, and their properties were analyzed as a function of those factors. The specimens sintered at the lower input temperature showed the higher density and the lower water absorption while those with higher input temperature had many pores inside of the aggregates, lower density and higher water absorption. Also increasing the input temperature accelerated the black core phenomenon in the aggregates. The bloating phenomena which the gigantic pores were generated inside the aggregates were improved as increasing the output temperature, but its effect was lower than that of input temperature. It could be realized that the bloating tendency was improved from the results that the density was increased and water absorption was decreased with increasing heating rate from 5 to $10^{\circ}C$/min. It was found that the artificial aggregates of light or heavy weight with various value of density and water absorption could be fabricated by using dredged soils naturally involving gas and fluxing components by controlling the sintering conditions.
The purpose of this study are to investigate the reasonable maintenance expense of golf course according to the size and management system of each golf course. The maintenance cost per hole per golfer of 29 golf courses and the maintenance cost for items and locations of 8 golf courses were analyzed. 1. As golfers per hole increased, maintenance cost per hole per golfer decreased. 2. The decisive cost factors for maintenance cost of golf course are the number of annual golfers, the total course size, the management system, and automation of course facilities. 3. Maintenance cost of golf courses contained the landscaping areas except for building and parking lots is $869^{\}/_{m^2}$ Korean won. 4. Average maintenance cost of 8 golf courses is $44,325,000^{\}/_{hole}$. 5. Labor cost marked the largest portion in the total cost. Among the items of labor cost, repair cost for green ball mark was the highest with the ratio of 26%(\4,163,000). 6. Material cost for Fairways which reaches 30% of the total area was composed of $22%{\sim}44%$ of the total cost of materials. Cost of imported fertilizers, pestcides for insects and diseases, and sands for top dressing was the highest. 7. Material cost for Green which reaches 2% of the total area was composed of $28%{\sim}36%$ of the total cost. Cost of imported products such as particle-shaped fertilizers, micro mineral fertilizers, and soil conditioners was the highest. 8. There is no difference in cost between chemical fertilizers and the environmentally friendly fertilizers even if environmentally friendly fertilizers using microorganism or chitosan materials are also expensive.
In this study, eco-friendly biodegradable materials were prepared using poly(lactic acid) (PLA), poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate) (PBAT), and hydrogenated castor oil power (HCO) as an additive. The prepared PLA/PBAT/HCO blended films were characterized by the scanning electron microscope (SEM) and fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). The results of SEM analysis indicated that PLA/PBAT (8 : 2) blended films added HCO showed no rough area, crack, or large agglomeration when compared with those adding various additives (12-hydroxy stearic acid (12HSA) and cellulose). The FT-IR results indicated the presence of specific peak of HCO in the PLA/PBAT blended films, and its peak intensity increased with increasing HCO content (0~5.0 wt%). Tensile strength, elongation at break, and water barrier and thermal properties of the prepared PLA/PBAT/HCO blended films were also investigated, indicating that the physical and thermal properties was improved more than three times by the addition of HCO. The biodegradability test in soil revealed that the prepared biodegradable materials were degraded by about 6.0~20% after 90 days.
To increase the structural integrity of concrete box culvert good compaction by the dynamic compaction roller with bi9 capacity is as effective as good backfill materials. It is needed for effective compaction that a compaction roller closes to concrete structure with high frequency. However structural distress of the culvert could be occur due to the excessive earth pressure by great dynamic compaction load. To investigate the characteristics of Induced stress by compaction, a box culvert was constructed with changing cushion materials and compaction methods. Two types of cushion material such as tire rubber chip and EPS(Expanded Polystyrene) were used as cushion panels and they are set on the culverts before backfill construction. Laboratory test result of cushion material says that the value of dynamic elastic modulus of rubber is lesser than that of EPS. On the other hand, material damping of rubber material is greater than that of EPS. In most case, dynamic compaction rollers with 10.5 ton weights were used and vibration frequency was applied 30Hz for the great compaction energy. This paper presents the main results on the characteristics of dynamic earth pressures during compaction. The amounts of induced dynamic pressures$(\Delta\sigma\;h)$ by compaction are affected with construction condition such as compaction frequency, depth of pressure cell, distance between roller and the wall of culvert and roller direction. Based on the measured values dynamic lateral pressure on the culverts, it could be said that orthogonal direction of roller to the length of culvert is more effective to compaction efficiency than parallel direction.
